I just noticed that Pinch Pols does not appear on the map for some reason but it's SW of Hoxne before you get to the Castle Keep.

Maps

Nations of the Continent

Shuklub Uhumudum
Culture: Gnomes
Population: 838,544

Shuklub Uhumudum is a technological marvel, advancement of the sciences is exalted above all else – at least by those in power if not by the common man. Shuklub Uhumudum is welcoming to all travelers, especially if they seek to share their knowledge. They are a wealthy nation thanks to their pursuit of the sciences.

Bassia
Culture: Halflings
Population: 173,266

Bassia is a heavily forested nation. The country is sparsely populated and most cities despite being on a map are difficult to find as they are built into the forest better than even some of the elven cities. Secretive by nature Bassians make up a great deal of the population of minstrels and spies.

Combedean
Culture: Humans
Population: 773,523
Combedean is neither rich nor poor, and while a human nation it is a melting pot of many races and cultures. There is civil unrest as many feel the decline in the Monarchy’s ability to aptly guide the nation. Rumors abound of civil war brewing, but the church tries hard to squelch these rumors, even by force some say.

Mawtry
Culture: Humans
Population: 38,875

Mawtry broke away from Combedean twenty-five years ago, they still harbor resentment towards their parent nation but are not strong enough to do anything about it – especially since Comebedean makes it difficult for the small, young country to trade with anyone.

Eireamhonii
Culture: Elves
Population: 142,247

Not much is known about the Eireamhonii, they are wary of strangers and prefer to stay secluded in their frozen forests unlike their warmer cousins.

Scadanlia
Culture: Humans
Population: 3,505,345

Scadanlia is one of the richest nations in the world thanks in no small part to its massive military and high taxes. Scandanlians serve a minimum of five years serving in the military (with the occasional deserter trying to skate by). The crime rate is considerably low for a nation so densely populated – no one wants to rob people who are almost certainly seasoned warriors. Scadanlia is a very aggressive nation and has conquered a few nations in its time – its bloody history gives other nations healthy pause when thinking on how best to deal with Scadanlia.

Flugasil
Culture: Dwarves
Population: 263,958

Many people go their whole lives without ever seeing a dwarf. They tend to stay in the mountains, mining the gem and ore filled caverns of their homeland – making them the richest nation on the planet. When dwarves do travel it’s usually from wanderlust or because they’ve been exiled for some crime or another.

Haya
Culture: Halflings
Population: 2,096,854

Haya while a large nation does not have the same penchant for war and conquest as Combedean. They are heavily mired in international politics and trade. They have a complicated nobility, there are over 700 noble houses, all vying for power.

Gilchristi
Culture: Elves
Population: 5,106,277

Gilchristi is the largest elven nation, renown for the beauty of its cities and its peoples. The elves rule by a council, two councilors represent each city in the nation. Unfortunately, this has recently caused a lot of strife as there are too many opinions on the floor.

Sceirby
Culture: Elves
Population: 254,991
The elves here are regarded as strange by the rest of the world, though beautiful like their counterparts they have adapted their society to the desert landscape they call home.

Gods and Goddesses

Dwarves worship their ancestors, much like Dragon Age if you’re familiar with that awesome game.
Elves tend to worship Gods of nature, music and art. Humans and the other races run the gambit of what they worship. There are outliers in every race – those who don’t believe in anything but themselves or a Dwarf who worships the Elven Goddess of Art & Music. It’s up to you to decide what your character believes and how strongly.

The Elven Pantheon

Etarr - God of Music & Art
Atris – Goddess of life, love and beauty
Ecaldir – God of Natural Law
Ewra – Goddess of Nature

Dwarven Paragons

Odin Stronghammer – Patron of Smiths
Sargog Bloodhelm – Patroness of War
Thaznoki Rubyfall – Patron of Mining
Brazebelyn Cavefall – Patroness of the Family
Radmaeg Silverjaw – Patron of Adventurers

Traditional Human Pantheon

Aenar - God of Misfortune
Oldir - God of War
Amera - Goddess of the Sea
Vastix – Goddess of Finance and Fortune
Veldir - God of Truth

Modern Human Pantheon

Kaher – God of all

There are cults and minor Gods that can be discovered throughout the game.

Other Info

We will be starting in the City of Pinch Pols. Some rumors you may have heard about the city on your travels:

  • The Mayor has commissioned a new suit of armor and will joust in it at the tournament in a few weeks time.
  • Rangers have reported encountering squirrels that can mimic the sounds of other animals and even human speech.
  • The Aderan and Hyde families have been violently feuding for years.
  • The constable is running a protection racket and most of those in the jail are people who would not or could not pay the extortion he demands.

Character Sheets will be stored on dicecloud.

Posted a link to my character's DiceCloud in the Characters section. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to put it there yet.

@The Harbinger of Ferocity

I seem to be having trouble getting your character sheet to load, I'll try again when I get home and see if it's just my work computer being stupid.

@rush99999

Approved, add 50 GP that was given to you by Odin Stronghammer to help you with your task.

@Cu Chulainn@Claw2k11@The Large Dumbo

Just checking in. If you have decided you would no longer like to play, that's fine but let me know so I can open up more spots for the campaign.

@Caitimus

Well, I was in the middle of making my character right now. Sorry it's taking this long, but it's taking a bit to get used to making a character in dicecloud, so I would like to apologize. Also, am I right in assuming we have to send you our character's backstory?

@Claw2k11 Not a problem, take your time. You can send me your backstory if you don't want to include it on your character sheet.

You said our characters are already acquainted and have formed a party before the start of the game, right?

@rush99999 That is up to the players. If you want to have adventured together previously (I think that would be the easiest to work with) that's fine or if you just want to know of each other in passing that's fine as well.

Before I continue with my character, did we lose our Celestial Warlock and Cleric? If so, I’ll fill a more support-based role.

Well, Delta44 said he would play as a cleric, he's just having a bit of trouble with dicecloud.
