Whenever I play the 3DS™ for a long time, I get this odd effect when reading some of the guild's posts on my phone, especially Zerabil red, where I see some fake 3D depth difference between the colored text and the normal text.

I'd join - I'm already planning on joining the main one (in November, right?)
But now I need to get my head down, submit one overdue essay, and get to writing another two due this month. And then I have exams from mid-may until the beginning of June. And then dissertation >-<

BUT WE STILL NEED TO RELEASE DIVINUS LITE. IF SOMEBODY COULD SUMMARISE ALL THE elvish MECHANIC UPDATES I'll UPDATE THE WIP OP.

There we go. Of note:
--Incorporates the 'Might is Creative' element, but has not completely gotten rid of its potential for destruction (gods CAN be destructive and I don't think it makes sense to get rid of that completely). The difference now is that while Might is VERY good at creating things, it is EXTREMELY bad at destroying, or creating for destructive ends.
--Gods are effectively demigods from level 1-3, and only mature into fully-fledged gods at level 4.
--Demigods have been removed, the offspring of a god are now level 1 gods.
--New gods can emerge at any point in the game through Mater Lei's doors (if Termite still wants that, the above mechanic sorts out the issue the doors sought to solve).
--As no one other than Cyclone expressed a strong aversion to the Primordials, they're still around.
--As we haven't yet fleshed out the 'Portfolios Only' system, the Domain(Portfolio) system has been retained.
--Oh, and the Might cap (2 x [Level + 3]) as well as indirect levelling up (2 x Level) have been incorporated.

The whole khookie point system is something I've used in a few of the RPs I GM. They're personalised, which immediately helps establish rapport with players, breaks the ice, and it also goes rather well with the whole 'evil benevolent overlord' GM-persona I go for. The pun also made some sense as the initial system was wholly reliant on GMs judging individual posts and actively handing out points (i.e. 'baking khookies'). I'm not a big fan of hard-and-fast mechanics that come across as dry, so calling them 'khookies' instead of 'Experience Points' immediately makes them more relatable. Or something.

In an established RP like Mk.II, I think we can do away with it at this point, especially as I'm no longer a GM. If I've jumped the gun by using Prestige in that last post, Termite can edit ^^'

Edit: speaking of heroes and khookies and prestige, should Divinus Lite's Hero levelling system be revised? At the moment the costs are just me using an arbitrary system not grounded in anything.

I have some concerns about the pacing for the first few Turns in Divinus Lite. To reach Level 4, you have to spend 12 Might. This means characters won't reach full godhood until part way through Turn 3. Once the world is well established, this is not a problem, but at the start the world is mostly formless. It will take until Turn 3 for them to Level Up enough to create sentient life.

We can speed up the start of the game by allowing the first batch of gods (i.e. those who join during Turn 1) to start at Level 3. They will then spend their allocated 6 Might, and if they didn't spend it on Portfolios or Holy Sites then they will reach Level 4. Thus, at the start of Turn 2, people can start making sentient life.

Possibly, we can extend this so that gods who start at Turn 2 start at Level 2 (since those players were just a little bit late), then all new gods from Turn 3 onwards start at Level 1.

The 'New Gods and Divine Offspring' section should probably mention that new gods created in such a manner should be played by different players unless you have received express GM approval (unless you wish to rule otherwise). And mention that new players are encouraged (but not required) to find existing players to be their divine parents.

Under 'Might', we should add to the table how much it costs to do the actions we associate with Freepoints. We should also add how much it takes to create living creatures: say, 0.25 MP for a simple or mundane species (i.e. not sentient and no powerful abilities or properties); 1 MP for a sentient or extraordinary species.

The 'Fate and Mater Lei' section should probably be updated to include Mater Lei's role in bringing in new gods. And unless you wish to continue with the 'Old Universe destroyed' story, you should probably drop mention of the Old Universe and remove the 'post-Apocalyptic' tag from the top of the OP.

In 'Heroes', don't forget to fill in my placeholder definition of 'harm' and remove the "Costs can be adjusted and new factors added. This is just a sample." line.

In an established RP like Mk.II, I think we can do away with it at this point, especially as I'm no longer a GM. If I've jumped the gun by using Prestige in that last post, Termite can edit ^^'

That's cool. We can start working on the transition.

The current costs alternate between increasing by 1 and 3 Prestige per Level. I suggest averaging that out to be an increase of 2 Prestige per Level.

With regards to concerns about gods being too weak for the beginning - I was under the assumption that we're parting with Divinus tradition and going for an already fully formed universe. The gods appear/crash land onto a pre-existing planet (or perhaps come out of Lei's doors). From here there are a few options:
----1) This planet would already have basic life (e.g. trees, numerous un-intelligent creatures ).
----2) Alternatively, the gods can emerge onto a planet already having intelligent life at a basic point in development.
----3) Cyclone suggested they emerge on a planet with relatively advanced sentient life warring, and where chaos reigns. The gods need to bring order and build from there.

Done! With regards to the definition of Harm, I've tried to put something reasonable. If you or anyone else have a more watertight definition let me know and I'll put it in.

If we start in a pre-populated world, that's a different matter. I'm still of the opinion that letting the players generate the world would probably be more engaging for them (and less work for you), and avoids forcing them down pre-existing tropes. (For instance, the first sentient life in Mk.2 was not humans, as one would assume is standard, but hain, which really personalises our universe.) If you wish to do otherwise, though, then go ahead.

That kind of defeats the point, doesn't it? We want people to create things to destructive ends.

It's aimed more at things like 'CREATE (haha!) a blackhole to destroy planet X, nation Y, galaxy Z' rather than 'create an army to go war against X and destroy them'.

I think that phrase is to avoid people doing things like creating a star next to a planet with the express purpose of nuking the planet (i.e. to close loopholes). But I agree, we do want people to do things like create armies and super-powers and weapons and heroes and avatars when they want to destroy something.

@BBeast@Antarctic Termite reworded the thingymadjig to the following:

Is that better, or is there a better way to limit destruction without completely doing away with it? Note that under this system a god could still technically create a black hole next to a planet, but it would require an exorbitant amount of Might (if a hill is 10 Might, I'd imagine a planet would be like, 500 Might)
