Hi! I've been away from this website for some time, but I think that this might be the best place to get this kind of role-play going. A brief bit of background, I don't do fandoms often. Usually I role-play with custom characters in custom worlds, BUT I think that this scenario could turn out to be very interesting.
A little bit about me, UK timezone, experienced role player on forums, google docs documents and various MMO's, have been role playing various characters for about eight years now. I'm more of a casual writer than an advanced, though if people make an effort to improve I will too. I always think of it as we're there to work together on making something, so helping each other develop is a good thing but minimum requirements should be kept minimum.
With that out of the way let me get onto the setting.

The Borg have always sort to use new technology, to conquer new regions of space and assimilate them, make them part of the collective. They use little caution in these endeavors, knowing that if they themselves are not already superior to their enemy they soon will be. When fluctuations in a trans warp corridor lead to the discovery of a parallel dimension of pure primordial energy in which the laws of physics barely apply of course they seek to master it.
In the future, on the verge of defeat by a reinforced federation given excellent intelligence from the returned USS Voyager, the Borg use this technology to give themselves a tactical advantage. The empyrean realm they have discovered seems to only have the broadest sense of linear time, and through carefully conducted calculations the collective is able to transport it's fleet back to a time before the Voyager returned to the federation.
Against the unprepared forces of the alpha quadrant, still recovering from the hard fought dominion war, the Borg enjoy rapid success. Several federation worlds are assimilated in a matter of months, the Romulan empire is on the verge of collapse, the Klingon fleet preparing for a last stand over Qo'noS.
Then deep space sensors inform the federation of another time breach. A science ship is pulled away from the front lines to investigate. For now the Warp has been breached to early, and once the door is open who knows what might slip through?
What am I looking for?
My ideal partner for this role-play would be an open minded trekkie, someone who wants to explore what would happen in this scenario. Their main character(s) would definitely need to start on that science ship. They don't need to know anything about the 40k universe, in fact it might be more fun if they have little to know knowledge. Other than that open to OOC communication so that we can both get the most out of this and friendly would be appreciated.

(Just as an end note, I've put 18+ on here because I am 18+, and if my partner is too it gives us more freedom. I'm not expecting any salacious scenes, but if the story does go that way I don't mind going to PM's or doing PM's from the start.)
