@AshganLovecraft is definitely part of the mix here, even if it is mostly based off of Kult. Yes, Cryo Chamber is quite a treat for those who enjoy horror.

And about the supernatural beings, if my character were to be haunted by one, do I just create it, the name and its appearances or I should run it first by you?

@BishopYou cannot increase the maximum amount of points you spend on attributes, nor will the story offer more. Think of advantages and disadvantages as a layer that carries more weight than attributes, but is not absolute. 'Increased pain resistance' is like armor in addition to your hit points, if one would severely simplify all of this.

Your character can be haunted by 'something'. You can suggest what it is, but if it doesn't fit into the lore I'll change it so it does. Or, lastly, I'll can create this 'something' for you. I will also control the actions of this 'something' in the story.

Wow. This is a super cool idea and I'm definitely interested.

I just (re-)read some basic information on Kult and I really do see the influence thickly now in your interest check. I had read about it prior but forgot most of it, but there are some cool concepts in there. Metropolis is awesome, and I find the idea of mental balance - that the more "normal" you are, the more chained down by the illusion you are and that becoming extremely noble (or depraved) sets you free - really creative and interesting, because there's no strictly good or bad answer here. When I get home I'll see if I can get my hands on the rule book.

It's early still but I wanted to put out my character concept I will most likely be developing to help inform you and other potential players of what I'm thinking of: I want to create a law enforcer of some kind, police or private I don't know, who has been on the same criminal case for close to a decade now. She's chasing a brutal pedophile but can never catch him, and the occult symbols and ritualistic nature of his crimes paint an all the more disturbing picture of him. Over the years, this man - whose face she has still never seen - has been slowly dragging her down into the dark. Overworked, exhausted and embittered, this obsessed woman still thinks she is just following the trails of someone who is criminally insane. She does not know that he will lead her far beyond the ordinary, into a world where the laws she has sworn to protect are a meaningless and irrelevant concept.

@DeadDropI was just curious. The concept of the character is good. A character skilled in computers is always useful, especially in this, as a lot information about what they will go through can be found on the dark web. If you personally don't know much about it, do take some time to research.

@AshganParts of what I've written is blatant plagiarism, but I also don't want this to be an actual instance of the game itself, so I'm removing/adding things as I see fit. They're actually doing a reboot of the game now. The new rulebook should be out this year, I believe. I'll definitely pick up a hard copy of it.

That character concept fits the setting perfectly. It's a classic deep dive scenario-link when it comes to grim 'underworlds' of society and occult matters.
