Nabi was standing near Taurl, grabbing a sack of flour and some dried meat, which was pretty much all that she could carry, when she too noticed the unusual looking headdress. She furrowed her brow and crinkled her nose. "Ty, what is that?" she asked, unable to help notice he'd barely taken his eyes off of it since he saw it.

He nodded ass she explained her sister would take him up on his offer and when she mentioned serving the tribe he said "true enough, we do need more younglings but it's her decision. If nothing else she could focus on helping the tribe by her work of she chooses that she isn't right to be a mother. After all its a big responsibility" he said with a shrug since she just might not want younglings in general. After a few more hits oof his hanger the hoe was repaired which he then gave to her "you can stay and talk more of you want so long as you don't mind me working while we do"

Gabi sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "I guess you're right. I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't be trying so hard to force her to be so much like me. It's just that she's so immature and curious all the time. I worry that it might one day get her in some serious trouble." Once the hoe had been repaired, she accepted it from him with a warm smile. "Thank you, Olric. I really appreciate it. And sure, I can stick around to talk for a little while longer. Although I do need to get back to the fields and finish with the farming for the day, it's not necessarily a rush."

"Hmm? Oh, right. I'm pretty certain that this thing has an alarm spell on it. Looks too valuable to not have one. Yeah, you can do that with the animals. And Nabi? Are you sure you can run with that sack of flour? Might just want to take the meat, and maybe some small items. If we grab too much, there's no way we're getting out of this one alive." Taurl did his best to remain calm, but he knew that the longer they stayed in the enemy village, the greater the odds were that something bad was going to happen.

Tovo could not wait any longer. The longer he stayed idle in this bush the higher the chance he would be discovered and caught. The the relative calm he had felt was long gone, his heart raced again and sweat dripped from his brow freely, as thoughts went in and out of his head at the speed of a diving hawk. He couldn't set his plan into action in this state, but he knew how to calm himself down. Tovo's hand went to his side to hold his prized possession in his hand. The feeling of the stick stopped the excess production of sweat, slowed his heart to a gentle beat, and solidified the plan in his head. It was now or never.

Tovo leaped out of the bush and vaulted over the animal fence made of sticks and vine. The two goblin farmers failed to react fast enough as he snatched up the fattest hen he could grab and jumped on the largest pig he saw. Tovo's perception of time seemed to slow down significantly as he brought down his open palm on the right butt cheek of the pig, causing it squeal loudly and move forward with great speed. The animal fence never stood a chance against the combined force of the weight and speed of a panicked pig. He could just barely hold onto the pig with one arm, as the pig ran through the village at top speed.

Nabi's eyes grew wide. "An alarm spell? Wow, I don't think I've even heard of that before." Then when Taurl mentioned that she probably shouldn't bother with the bag of flour, she wrapped her arms tighter around it. "It's okay," she said. "It's not as heavy as it looks. I'm sure I can managed." She didn't want to look weak in front of Ty and the other goblins in the party. A lot of them probably already saw her as weaker anyway being that she was the only female in the group. Nabi was about to ask Ty another question when suddenly she heard the sound of a pig squealing, followed by an alarm, which sounded like a horn blowing. It seemed the guards knew something was up, and that meant that they were suddenly in a lot of danger being here.

Taurl flinched when he heard the alarm. It was now or never. He reached out and snatched the crown from its pedestal, causing a second alarm to go off as well as revealing the source of the alarm; a pair of glowing blue gylphs which changed to a bright orange a moment after lifting the crown into the air. He cursed the fact that goblins had good hearing; this close to the source of the alarm spell, the sound was able to cause pain as well as alert the village's defenders.

Stumbling out of the hut, Taurl broke into a run as he heard the sound of goblins grabbing spears and other weapons. They didn't have long before it was too dangerous to stay.

There was one very clear thought that came into mind as Tovo rode the panicked pig. It was about how difficult it was to maneuver a pig without using both hands. The pig ran indiscriminately in one direction, knocking down pots, baskets, and the odd goblin. It took him a good half minute to devise of a plan to get the pig to maneuver to his will. He used his legs to grasp the pig's body to keep himself stable on the it while he drew the lucky stick and bit down on it to prevent loss.

'You can do this. You can do this! YOU CAN DO THIS!' he thought before yelling to the top of his lungs. "EEH KEEHN HOO HHIS!!!"

Tovo then proceeds to take off his loincloth, let go of the hen, and grab the other end of the loincloth in one swift movement. An amazing feat considering his predicament. With no time to loose, he uses the loincloth as some sort of makeshift reins and turn the pig a 180* turn heading out of the village. Tovo may have lost the chicken, his bronze sword, and is completely naked but now he can actually ride the pig properly with no risk of falling off. The only problem now is that the whole village has been alerted of their presence and surely forming some sort of counter attack.

Nabi covered her ears when the alarm sounded. The horrible noise was so high-pitched and shrill that it hurt her ears. Knowing exactly what it meant, the young goblin wasted no time hefting the bag of flour in her hands and then taking off running back the way they came. It would only be a matter of time before the village guards arrived, and she didn't want to be around when that happened. As she ran, she looked over her shoulder and shouted at Ty and the others. "Come on, we have to get out of here right now!" As if that weren't already obvious to them all. But not two seconds later, her feet came skidding to a halt when she saw her path blocked by a big male goblin guard hefting a wooden club riddled with spikes.

"Where do you think you're going with that?" the big goblin growled.

"Uh-oh," Nabi uttered timidly as she retreated a few steps, trying to think of a way out of this one.

Taurl looked to his right and saw Tovo riding a pig buck naked through the enemy camp. While he'd certain have a story to tell if he survived, getting out alive was clearly going to be the hard part! Ty ran with the crown, moving as fast as his little legs could take him. He was halfway to the fence when he heard someone talk to Nabi. Cursing his luck, he tossed the crown over the fence, holding his spear in both hands. He couldn't possibly fight the guard and take the crown at the same time.

"Let her go. It's just a bit of food. If you want to fight someone, try me. She's not worth the effort." He knew that his words were a bit harsh in regards to Nabi, but if it saved her life, it was something he had to do. He charged at the guard, spear pointed forward. A moment before he came in range of the club, he stopped short and thrust his spear forward at the guard, taking full advantage of his spear's superior reach.

Tovo was thoroughly embarrassed enough by the fact that he was completely nude while he rode on the pig. Even more so when he saw Taurl and a number of goblins in the raid group. 'So much for my reputation as a warrior...' the goblin thought as he sped closer and closer to the exit of the camp. The rival goblins were by no means fools. They had reacted quick enough for them to create a small, but cohesive, defense force waiting at the gate. Several goblins wielded primitive flint tipped spears and had a goblin archer behind them with a crossbow meant for human hands, not a goblin's.

The scene caused Tovo to rear the pig to a sudden halt. The one with the over-sized crossbow bellowed out to him:

"Oi, Intruda! Step off da pig and we'll make sure you die easy...afta we 'eve a sum fun cuttin' ya up that is!"

He then let out a laugh that the rest of his troupe followed and jeered Tovo on. Particularly regarding his state of dress and the size of his genitals. Tovo considers himself a goblin not easy to anger or infuriate, but this embarrassing state along with the jeers and laughter from the rival goblins caused his blood to boil and adrenaline to rush. This was not part of his plan the stick had told him...but Tovo refused to leave until he made them hurt. Even before they managed to stop laughing their green butts off, Tovo had smacked the pig's rear once again.

'They had let their guard down to ridicule me, now they pay dearly...'

The spear wielding goblins were scattered around like a youngling's rag doll by the sheer force of the pig's charge, but the one with the over-sized crossbow was further back and was quick enough let loose a bolt. The bolt failed to hit it's mark, but the pig did; a well positioned hoof landed square on the downed goblin's groin. The pig, along with its goblin rider, had run over the poor goblin...and By the sound of the high pitched scream, something was very broken. Tovo smiled widely as he and the pig gained distance from the village, but it soon disappeared as he felt a sharp pain and a warm trickle of liquid on his side. He looks down and his eyes widen to see 1/3rd of a wooden crossbow bolt sticking out of his side.

'Oh dear...'

Nabi thought for sure that she was as good as dead when suddenly Taurl shouted at the big goblin to get his attention fixed on him rather than her. His words did sting a little, but she knew that he was only saying it to save her life, so she couldn't really get upset with him. And with the big goblin's attention now completely focused on Ty rather than her, Nabi drew the tiny knife that Ty gave her. She figured she had one chance to repay him for saving her, so as Taurl thrust his spear at the goblin, Nabi stabbed the knife right into the goblin's back when he wasn't looking.

He smiled a bit as she agreed with him and said she was only worried about her sister. He nodded and said "I know that's what makes you a great sister to begin with. If you want to leave I wont stop you of course but your always welcomed to stay with me" he said softly as he turned back to his forge. Once he was back at his fire he got to work creating more nails and the likes, nothing so difficult he wouldn't be able to talk to her as well.

Taurl heard the sound of a struggle in the distance, accompanied by the distinctive sound of a human-made crossbow. Such a device was well above the ability of goblins to manufacture, so it must have been bought or stolen from a human settlement, most likely the former. He focused on the opponent in front of him, trying his best not to get distracted by the din of battle.

The guard was stabbed on both ends. While the injury to his back only caused him a slight wound, the spear stab into his abdomen was far more serious. He fell to the ground, badly injured. He'd live if his tribe's shaman could apply healing magic in time. Either way, he was down for the count.

"Good job, Nabi! Now, let's get out of here! Also, I think Tovo might be in trouble!"

Tovo grimaced, trying to stop the feeling of pain distracting him from riding the pig; hand clutched over the wound, trying to staunch the flow...but try as he could, the injury could not be ignored. His labored breaths filled the air as sweat poured down his his whole body. Soon his eyes could barely focus looking forward. He could not go any further. Without any medical aid, he would be dead in under an hour. His lucky stick falls out of his mouth and onto the grassy floor of the forest. Unconsciously, he reached for it and fell off the pig. The fall was a short one but he swears that falling to the ground was by far the most painful feeling he had the displeasure of experiencing. The pig's trot stops briefly as it turns to face it's former rider. For a moment one could even say that the beast was worried about the goblin, then again pigs were known to be omnivorous. Maybe it was hungry?

"Graaaah!"

Tovo let out a scream of agony as he felt the metal tip of the bolt go a little deeper into his body. The labored breaths turn into desperate wheezing. Tovo really wanted to breathe so badly but every breath hurt. Even through the pain, he dragged himself to where the stick fell. Thinking this moment would be his last time grasped it tightly, willed himself to a kneeling position and placed it to his head and closing his eyes. The familiar feeling comforted him...and the voice told him to look at the tree in front of him. Tovo's eyelids weighed heavily, but he complied to the voice. It had never failed him before, why would it now? He felt his mouth curve up to a smile as he saw a Lunar Violet growing on the shaded side of the tree. He knew what the flower did. I'd put him in a death like sleep that would stop him from bleeding out. He knew the risks of ingesting an improper amount would kill him, but now its the best chance he had of living.

He reaches out to a petal of the Lunar Violet and with a quick tug, he pulls a single pale violet petal. He puts it in his mouth and chews the petal. He feels very tired and tries to get as comfortable as he could.

He lets out a weak smile before one last thought fills his clouded and tired mind.

'I...I hope the others are safe...'

Taurl ran over to Tovo. "Gods, what happened? Nevermind. We've got to get out of here!" A quick look at the flower was all that it took to cue Taurl in on the situation. Seeing that Tovo was incapable of walking, he did his best to lift him up. Luckily, goblins were light and strong for their size, able to lift more than their own slight weight. With difficulty, Taurl would be able to lift Tovo and grab the crown.

"Nabi! Come on! We can't stay here any longer!" He ran as fast as he could, even though he knew that he'd be weighed down. Taurl could only hope and pray that Tovo didn't take too much of the Lunar Violet flower, and that he wouldn't be carrying a corpse back home for burial.

Hours pass and it seems that the young goblin is still yet to wake. He is in the realm between life and death, a limbo of some sorts. It was nearly dusk when the raid group returns to their village, they were met with a mixture of emotions. Joy is the most common felt due to the success of the raid and the number of supplies took from the rival village, but a good number felt worry for the state Tovo was in.

One of those more concerned about the well being of Tovo is the village shaman herself. She had years of experience treating all kinds of injuries, from small scrapes of younglings to severed limbs of seasoned warriors, but she still can not bear to see them in such states. She sees them not as her patients, but as her own younglings. She could not help the feeling. She had seen a good number of them grow up first hand and seeing them in such a state will always hurt her deeply.

She looks to Taurl and practically pleads to him to tell her what had happened to Tovo.

Taurl made it back with Tovo, Nabi, and the others. All of them had survived, although Taurl had his doubts that Tovo would make it without immediate attention from the shaman. He set Tovo down near the shaman's hut and quickly hid the crown. This was no time to gloat about stealing an artifact, not when his friend needed help so urgently. There'd be time enough for showing off the spoils of war in the morning.

He saw the shaman emerge from her dwelling. Without wasting a word, he explained what had happened. "Great shaman! We need your help! Tovo was badly wounded on a raid. He ate some Lunar Violet petals to slow the bleeding. It helped, but I don't think he has long. Please, do something!"

Edra's face grew pale as soon as soon as she heard the details. Not willing to waste any more time, she asks Taurl to place Tovo in the hut so she could properly treat his severe injury and possible Lunar Violet poisoning. She had sufficient experience with Lunar Violets, she used the flower's extract to help ease the burden of operation but was only utilized in small amounts to act as a sedative and minor coagulant. Most times, the effects wear off in half a day but she had never seen a case where a whole petal was consumed.

"I can start treating his wounds but for the effects of the Lunar Violet petal is difficult to determine. It could have been enough to put him into a deep slumber he could never wake from, or worse, took enough to kill. There is very little we can do unless..."

She pauses for a moment as she realizes this is the only one other way to save the young goblin's life.

"Taurl...it pains me to do this but...I need you to get a fruit from a Treant. I know the danger it comes with it. I understand if you would refuse this request and will not hold it against you but this is the only other chance Tovo has...please think about it well."

Taurl paused for a second. Treants rarely gave up their fruits willingly. He'd have to take one by stealth. Most treants were powerful enough to kill a goblin in one blow, something that wasn't lost on him.

"I'll do it. I-I know it's dangerous, but Tovo was hurt on a raid I led. If I don't at least try to save him, his death will fall on my conscience. Do you know where I should look? There are treants in the forest, but I don't know where to look. There's a lot of ground to cover in the woods, and I suspect we have little time."
