It was a sunny day in West City and people were enjoying a regular day of peace, earned after many troubles that had come to pass. Happy voices filled the air and the people wandered with little care in the world, attending to their personal matters with danger far off in their minds thanks to the valiant efforts of the Z fighters. Though many were particular happy for the bright sunny day in spring, not everyone was exactly pleased with their day had in store. For some it doesn't take much for such a beautiful day to be ruined and one such person was currently making their way up the long steps in one of West City's towers.

"...why is it always this tower?"
A man slowly made his way up a flight of stairs carrying a bucket of water in one hand, and a mop in the other. He was dressed in a blue jumpsuit that seemed a tad loose on him, though he kind of preferred it that way. He was tall and a bit lean with a fair bit of muscle in his arms, though it was hard to tell due to the jumpsuit. He blew a wet bang out of his face and adjusted the blue hat with the hand holding the mop as he slowly trudged his way up the stairs. Though he couldn't see the top floor the determination in his eyes showed his commitment to the minimum wage he was going to earn today and with a mighty yell he reached the top steps before collapsing onto the ground.
"Y-yeah...I did it...you the man Ryo...ugh."

The one named Ryo slowly climbed to his feet as he noticed people were standing around him, he had taken a job to clean one of the malls...one of the taller malls in West City, and they did tell him bottom to top, and after a painstaking workday he had finally made it to the top floor, though the pain of the whole thing was, the lower floors were probably dirty again so there was a good chance he was going to have to start over again. That idea filled him with no end of despair, but he shook his head and immediately got to work, there was no sense complaining about it, he was way behind on his rent and the growl of his stomach reminded him he needed this job.
"D-damn it...no complaining Ryo...unless there's some magic way to get a bunch of money this is all I really have. Besides this is nothing compared to training. You got this."
Ryo glanced over as a few children purposefully knocked their drinks onto the ground before asking their parents for another smirking at him.
"Sometimes I hate this city."

Today became one of those where one had to replace the things they wear everyday. Take Kinoko, for instance. Here she was, in the mall, urging Vegeta to join her, since they both needed new casual things. It was all, technically, Bulma and Chi-Chi’s idea in forcing them. Saiyans, always sticking to their pride, to the point of wearing the same attire every single day.

Since coming to Earth, and defeating Raditz, there wasn't necessarily a place for the princess to stay, so she had to normally stay with Goku and his wife. At first, she found Chi-Chi to be somewhat strict, but Kinoko could only understand that she just wants what's best for her family. As much as those expectations were overbearing, Kinoko tries to do the best she can, in order to help her younger brother with the amount of stress his wife puts on him. Sometimes, they were rather lucky in getting her to agree with them taking a break or two, but this varied. Especially when it came to Goku and training...

She had managed to learn about the aspects of finance from Bulma and Videl (considering that they were rich), so the idea of getting a job was an option with considering, if she ever wants to support her family. The princess became a full-time grocery-store clerk. Highly unlike her younger brother, Kinoko grew fond of the task, almost immediately. That also meant that she and Goku are on the same page and business in handling fresh food: he harvests and collects, while she stocks and gives them away. If she wasn't on her shift, she can make Goku's task a lot easier. After all, it's a win-win; the faster it gets done, the more time for training for the both of them!

A grin adorned Ryo's face as he held a small bit of ice cream in his hand, after dealing with the upstairs he had finally earned a proper lunch, though he didn't really have any money to buy food. Just as he was considering on looking for scraps on the table one the ice cream vendors approached him with an ice cream, apparently as thanks for cleaning up around their place. He wanted to refuse it but his stomach betrayed him in the crucial moment and any kind of food was better than nothing, so he took it with thanks and decided to browse the mall to see if anything was on sale for payday...which was still quite a bit away.
"Man that lady is the best. I gotta pay her back sometime," Ryo said putting the spoon in the ice cream. "It's just Vanilla but it's going to taste so good."
Just as Ryo was going to take a bite he stopped as a few voices reached him.
"Wha- 10 million Zeni?!"
Ryo froze glancing over at a few youth's sitting at a nearby table, one of them was wide eyed staring at the smiling face of his friend.
"You mean the Martial Arts Tournament right...that's the prize?!" The surprised youth exclaimed.
"Yeah man and that's just top, you get money just for being in the top five, I think the lowest is a Million Zeni" the other youth said. "We should enter this year, that top prize of 10 million...imagine what we could do with that."

Ryo stared at the youth's his brows arching a bit, 10 million Zeni just for top...but he doubted he could make it to the top...still money for the top five and the least amount you could get was a Million. If he had a million Zeni that would solve a lot of his current problems, but he tended to keep his fighting habits a secret, he even kept his Ki hidden away constantly. He knew of the threats that had come to this place in the past from the news and his old apartment was destroyed during one of the incidents, thus why he was in a more expensive one now.
"A fighting tournament...I might need to look into this...I couldn't enter the last one...I don't have to win if I can just come in the top five then-"
Ryo thoughts were stopped as he bumped into someone his ice cream falling from his grasp staining the person before hitting the floor. A scream came from Ryo as he fell to his knees at his spilled treat.
"Gah! My ice cream! I haven't even tasted it yet! Why?!"
Ryo quickly raised his gaze to the person only to see it was a woman with long somewhat spikey hair, standing next to...an extremely scary man. He was pretty sure meeting the man's eyes was making his life flash before his eyes. Ryo quickly bowed deeply slamming his head into the floor a small 'ow' escaping from him in the process.
"Ahhh I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention! Please don't complain to the boss I need this job! I have mouth's to feed! I mean that's a lie...but I'll-I'll pay for the Dry Cleaning! Please forgive me!"

Kinoko made a vow since she started taking comfort on Earth. The abuse she had received from Raditz had taken its toll, and it finally made her decide to kill him, probably for the first time without honor. That was the reason Kinoko had changed sides in the first place: She had enough of it.

It felt as if they wouldn't go away...the memories. As much as Kinoko wanted to forget them, she feared that the more they continued to bother her, the more she feared of becoming an uncontrollable Super Saiyan. However, the only reason she didn't was because of Goku and Vegeta, who've managed to convince her that she wouldn't. From there, she believed, thanked, and loved them. Whenever times like these began to take their toll, she would go to either go to Chi-Chi, Bulma, or Videl to talk about it. The ex-princess knows that she's really tough like her father, but yet, she was a gentle soul, like her mother.

Kinoko pretty much figured that the memories would bother Vegeta too. She left her older brother alone to his thoughts, but never let him get overly brooding, just knowing that those said-thoughts would continue to bother them both, as they contained the memories of their servitude for Lord Frieza himself, back in the past. Of course, before the eradication of their homeworld, she had remained really close with Vegeta, considering that they had obviously grew up together in the same status and household. As close as they were, rather emotionally, Kinoko just knew that, even though her older brother would be out training, he wouldn't put it above family-oriented scenarios. Especially when it comes to the wellbeing of his wife, his son, or his sister. As much as he didn't want to admit it, the Saiyan prince will put their wellbeing before his own.

She managed to get some new clothes for him and herself, and she decided to wear them now: a dark-blue midriff top, a pair of dark skinnies, and high-heeled boots. Just as they were passing by some youths, the Martial Arts Tournament rang in their ears. Was this their calling? It must be. Just imagine what Bulma could do with the money! No doubt Chi Chi would sell it for educational purposes; not that Kinoko would disagree on the woman’s decisions, out of respect.

Her superhuman senses may have dwindled because she didn’t expect herself bumping into someone, resulting in the stain of her new outfit. However, instead of contempt, a smile on Kinoko’s face. “Hey, it’s all good. Don’t worry, I’m lucky to have an extra pair”, for that, she used Instant Tranmission to dissapear, and reappear with the same clothes, but fresher.

Ryo kept his head lowered but only for a moment, an extremely brief moment he thought he felt the presence of Ki energy, he looked up only to see the girl in an unstained outfit. He blinked a few times and climbed to his feet, he stared at the spot he had spilled his ice cream cone and scratched his head, he supposed she did have an extra pair but that was absurdly fast. He wanted to question it but the man next to her clearing his throat drew his attention, catching his glare he took a small step back as he walked up to him, arms crossed over his chest the man's eyes met his. It had been a long time since he had this much fear running through his body, but he was positive aside from his earlier mishap which the lady thankfully was okay with, he hadn't done anything to warrant that kind of look.
"Do you make a habit to stare at the chest of every woman you meet," The man said the irritation clearly apparent in his tone.
Ryo's eyes twitched realizing he had been staring at the spot, but that wasn't his intention, he needed to clear that up immediately.
"I-I wasn't trying too, I wasn't trying to look at her chest honest. There's absolutely no reason for me too."
"What's supposed to mean?!" The man exclaimed taking a step closer. "Is there a problem with her?"
"N-no nothing like that! Her chest is great just not my kind of chest you know."
The man started to say something else but his phone rang causing him to stop, pulling it out he looked at it and with a small scoff he walked away for a moment bringing the phone to his ear, he was pretty sure he heard the name "Bulma' come from him before he took a small step back.
"R-right," Ryo said before looking over at the woman. "Um...sorry again. I gotta get back to work now. Have a good day."
Ryo adjusted his hat and turning made an extreme effort to get away from the two, the sooner he finished this shift, the sooner he could sign up for the tournament, it couldn't be that far away and he was going to have pick up on his training slightly. Though as he walked away he glanced back at the woman, he wasn't sure why but he was positive he felt Ki come from her direction for a moment.
"...nah that's impossible...she looks pretty normal to me."
"Okay! Time to get some work done....on the bottom floor...ugh..."
He honestly wanted to clean up the cone he just dropped but he didn't want to linger near that man any longer than he had too.

Vegeta returned shortly after stuffing his phone back into his pocket, looking over at Kinoko he shoved his hands back in his pockets and made a motion with his head back to the stores.
"Hurry it up, the sooner this ends the sooner I can get back to training. Bulma asked what we wanted for dinner, I told her I wouldn't be there so there was no point in asking me. She'll probably call you soon to ask what you want."
He glanced in the direction Ryo had gone his eyes narrowing slightly, something about that man bothered about him, the way he acted for a moment was a bit too like someone he knew. He could feel his blood boiling seeing his face and he closed his eye forcing the image out of his head.

Kinoko watched the man before her, acting as innocent as she was. But, of course, like every protective sibling would normally do, Vegeta called him out for glancing at her “immodesty”. Always the protective big brother. She didn’t know when Vegeta will ever learn that she can handle herself. She certainly throughout the pst few ages, but she did wonder if it was due to the abuse and harassment she had to endure, at both Raditz’s and the Frieza Force’s hands.

She was quiet throughout the whole ordeal, only managing to wave when the man began to walk away from them. As soon as he was gone, the princess turned her attention to the prince. “Do you always have to be my bodyguard, every time we do this?”, she asked, just as they continued to walk. She was tough, but Vegeta always had to make it difficult. With her new levels of power, she can take care of herself. Guess Vegeta wasn’t ready to let her go just yet.

"Hmph"
That was the response he provided to her question still glancing in the direction Ryo had gone, he had gotten pretty far listening to his instincts, and something about the man bothered him. Not so much his actions but there was something that pulled at him, glancing over at Kinoko and her response it seemed she wasn't getting the same feeling, or at least wasn't sharing if she did. In the end it didn't really matter, the earthling was gone and his day was being wasted by trivial things once more. He closed his eyes still bothered by the strange feeling he had about all of this, but there were more important things to deal with.

"We're leaving knowing Kakarot he's probably already training for the Martial Arts Tournament. Though it won't be satisfying not going all out I'll at least have some entertainment."
Vegeta turned and started walking away but stopped and glancing back at Kinoko narrowed his eyes at her.
"Don't forget that you forced me to come along on this stupid trip and if you acted more like the Elite you are there would be no need for me to intervene. You're representing our whole race with every action you take, don't forget that."
Turning back around he continued walking paying little mind if Kinoko was following or not, he certainly had his own way of doing things, but the fact that he was paying it any mind showed he did care, even if his face didn't show it.

Vegeta had changed into his battle gear adjusting the gloves on his hands as he waited for Kinoko to arrive, he had come far away from civilization in an area filled with cliffs and little greenery. Training at Capsule Corporation would generally cause collateral damage and upsetting Bulma wasn't something he needed today. Training with Kinoko was generally better than training on his own anyway, he considered training in the machine with er staring at 50g's and working their way up, but that was for later. Their fight now was just going to be a warm up, and he wanted to go over control today and didn't need the machine getting destroyed in the process if Kinoko messed up somehow or he stopped holding back.
"...where the hell is she?"

Ryo sat in the park on his knees resting his hands in his lap and keeping his eyes closed, there were a few people meditating nearby as well, which was pretty normal for this kind of day. It was a beautiful day and now that he was signed up for the tournament he wanted to go over the basics. He wanted to feel everything around him for a bit and make sure nothing had dulled, though he highly doubted it did since he did train often, but relying on Ki for everything wasn't what he liked, he wanted to feel everything with it completely suppressed, making sure his body naturally knew the stimuli, and seeing as he could feel the butterflying flying past him, it seemed he wasn't doing too bad...though the smell of the fart from the guy next to him was a tad distracting.
"..shame it's not 'silent' while I'm like this...at least I knew it was coming..."

For Kinoko to possess such traits were considered strange to many. Most Saiyans thought of her as being of non-fighting material, but they thought differently, when they came to discover that her kind and gentle nature was only a facade. On the inside, she does indeed have a fighting spirit, and that she possesses a great form of power that would surpass most of their planet's warriors; she was at least, an inch away from Vegeta's own strength. If not, she would be his equal. They both obviously haven't come close to surpassing Goku, so for Vegeta to continuously call himself by his royal title, Kinoko could only believe that her brother will be training long and hard to do so. And she literally means long and hard.

“Excuse me, but it was your wife who forced me in taking you!”, she defended, considering that this wasn’t exactly the princess’ idea. She respected Bulma, probably more than she did with Chi Chi. The woman was incredible, in both passion and temper. She could only congratulate her brother on marrying such a woman. “Besides, don’t you forget that I was here first, and longer than you have”, she once again defended, as she followed him out.

————————————————-

Kinoko was already flying to the spot that Vegeta chose for their training ground. Back in her battle armor, she flew over the city. She did consider using Instant Transmission, but it would be considered as cheating to get ready, mentally. Plus, she had to save power for their session. Landing before Vegeta, Kinoko crossed her arms over her chest, silent, and focused.

Vegeta tapped his finger on his arm growing impatient, though after a moment he picked up Kinoko's energy and looked up to see she had arrived. Narrowing his eyes at her he waited until she landed in front of him, he stared at her letting the silence hang between the two of them for a moment. It was times like this he felt comfortable, seeing Kinoko in her battle armor looking like a proper Saiyan warrior, for a moment he was almost proud, but that would have to wait until she showed him what she could do today. Kinoko was a powerful warrior, it wasn't an impossibility for her to surpass him in fact he invited it, having something to aim for, a goal gave training meaning, each time he looked at Kakarot's dumb face he was reminded of that.

"Good let's get started then."
Vegeta spread his feet and got into stance, the air around him seeming to shift as he got into his fighting stance. The Saiyan prince already let off an oppressive air on his own, but when he got serious his strong will was almost made manifest. He watched Kinoko waiting for her to get into stance.
"You know what'll happen if you hold back Kinoko, come at me like you mean it!"
"Wait!"
Vegeta eyes widened a bit as a familiar voice reached them, Vegeta got out of his stance and crossed his arms as a familiar figure floated down landing near the two, with a grin on his face Goku raised a hand to the two warriors.
"Hey you two, are you training without me. That's not very nice."
"I don't remember needing to inform you everything I do Kakarot. You can watch if you want but I'm training with Kinoko today for the Tournament."
"Really?!"
Goku looked over at Vegeta then Kinoko before laughing and crossing his arms over his chest, Vegeta knew that look and just as he was about to say something Goku spoke first.
"Let me join you guys. I want to train for that too. Oh but we probably shouldn't fight each other Vegeta, you tend to forget it's sparring halfway though. Kinoko why don't you take Vegeta and I on at the same time. To make it fair we won't go past Super Saiyan at first."
"You're asking me to hold back," Vegeta said looking over at Goku.
"Well we're just warming up right, once we're all warmed up then we'll go all out, that and we can't use our powers in the Tournament anyway it'll be good to practice holding back a little. Now let's stretch and get into the groove of things, after that then we can go all out. If we go all out too soon we'll run out of energy anyway right?"
Vegeta looked over at Kinoko for a brief moment before shaking his head.
"It annoys me but it would be good to see how far you've improved. Don't waste all your energy and I'm not going to pull any punches just because it's a warm up."
Vegeta raised his hand and closing it into a fist a burst of yellow Ki exploded from his body, his hair turning Golden as he turned into a Super Saiyan his immense power coming off in waves around them, by now changing was almost as natural as breathing and crossing his arms over his chest he looked over at Goku who smiled before he quickly changed. The two got into stance and eyed Kinoko.
"Are you ready Kinoko?! Let's get started!" Goku said with a firm nod.

Ryo eyes shot open and he suddenly gripped his chest, one of the passerby nearby took a look at him but he just chuckled and held a hand up to indicate that he was fine. Though on the inside he was screaming a bit, he recognized that power. It was far away but he could still feel its echoes from where he was, generally when he felt that kind of power some manner of chaos generally followed. The people letting off that Ki was strong, but he could tell it wasn't the full amount of power as usual, and the only reason he could pinpoint it in the first place was because he was actually concentrating. He glanced in the direction of the power sources and narrowed his eyes, he wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew one thing at least.
"I'm not going anywhere near that."
He closed his eyes going back to meditating, he was just going to ignore every bit of that.

As long as she knew her older half-brother, Kinoko could only be known to Vegeta, as he would expect her to turn up. In her usual Saiyan armor; it was almost like a total change; physically and mentally, she felt stronger than how she would while dressed like an Earthling. Not that she disliked the clothes, but she didn’t think they would be of fighting material. Here he goes with the instructing, like he used to do, when they were just kids. It was he who taught her to fight. Overtime, she managed to develop her own fighting style; one that required lots of agility, speed and, to some extent, stealth.

Before she could do anything, a familiar voice rang into the air. It was her other half-brother, but the younger: Goku. As stubborn as she was, Kinoko preferred to call him “Goku”, but with Vegeta nearby, it was “Kakarot”, so to prevent the prince from constantly reminding her in keeping her Saiyan heritage and composure. In addition, ever since Vegeta arrived on Earth, she and Goku have barely got the time to spar.

Eying the two of them, the princess made her serious face, narrowed her eyes, and changed; her hair now slightly longer than before, and put on her traditional fighting stance, a rather elegant one, with a mix of femininity and masculinity.

Goku seemed to smile seeing the expression on Kinoko's face, she was clearly ready and there was no trouble turning into a Super Saiyan. There was a moment of calm between them as the warriors eyed each other, and in the next moment Vegeta and Goku were already on Kinoko. The two came at her without any hesitation launching of flurry of strikes at her, though they were just warming up their attacks were no less fast and powerful, especially Vegeta's who as always attacked without holding back. Goku didn't want to hurt Kinoko but understanding her strength did the same, though there wasn't as much ferocity to his attacks, there was still immense power, speed and precision in their attacks. If Kinoko let her guard down or focused on one more than the other one of the two would easily exploit that opening an attack her.

Generally blast attacks didn't come until they were warmed up but depending on how many attacks Goku got on Kinoko in this state Vegeta might get irritated and switch it up. Which was actually the funny thing, at some point the two start counting how many times they've broken through Kinoko's guard, and if either notice she's doing it on purpose then it generally makes it worse, especially on Vegeta's end who would break off warm up right then. Basically this wasn't any kind of warm up, it was just a fight waiting to steadily get more and more intense and that all depended on Kinoko's responses to their attacks, but that was generally how it went when it came to training with these two.

Ryo went to his next job early not able to concentrate on his meditation anyway thanks to the huge energy levels coming from the wastelands. He made an effort not to sense them as he changed into his janitorial equipment only stopping as someone smacked him on the back. He glanced over at the perpetrator to see a young man next to him with long red hair tied into a low ponytail, he grinned at him rubbing a bit of the stubble on his chin and walking past him started slipping into his equipment. The man had handsome features something even Ryo admitted especially his strong chin, he was younger than him but they were the same height and he looked a little older than he did in some manners. He was slim and had a little less muscle tone but it seemed to match him just right.
"What up Ryo? Glad to see you here today."
"Glad to see you're here today too Soru."
"Hah when I saw your name on the board I had to come, we should get a drink tonight after work," the man named Soru said. "It's going to be rough."
The two were in an executive office building, he was pretty sure it belonged to Capsule Corp which was one of the reasons why he took this job, these people paid well so it didn't matter how hard the work was, his rent was late again so he'd have to suffer. This place was smaller than the mall but he didn't have to make it sparkling clean at the mall, it had to be here.
"Haha...I'd love too but I kind of have plans tonight. I'll get you in a few days, my treat," Ryo said.
"Oh ho your treat...you comin' into some money."
"Hopefully."
"What're you going to do...nothing illegal right?"
"No no nothing like that...just a really good opportunity that's completely legal."
Soru seemed to stare at him for a moment but shrugged and finished putting on his work clothes, he tossed Soru a mop and grinned at him.
"All right man, while we're doing the first floor I'll tell you about my date."
"I'd prefer if you didn't...not everyone has great love lives."
"Oh come on I don't have anyone to talk to, the rest of my friends are girls and they always get jealous."
"I hate you...I hate you and your perfect life..."

Kinoko moved quickly, as soon as Vegeta and Goku proceeded to land strikes on her. There were some instances where her guard was down, but she managed to evade many of their hits without much effort. As much as she appreciated Goku in not wanting to put the hurt on her, she welcomed it.

There was even a moment where the princess took his arm, and maneuvered herself with acrobatic effort to hook one of her legs on his neck, and push him to the ground. Vegeta found that to be an opening, but Kinoko stopped one of his punches with a hand, before pulling him towards her, and punching him square in the jaw, and a knee to his chest. She was quite quick for them, probably faster and much more agile than perhaps the two of them, combined.

If Goku got up behind her, she’d disappear on the spot, and appear above them in the sky, with her arms crossed, and smirking. She was up for the challenge, and that became known when she non-tauntingly gave them a beckoning hand.

Goku rotated his shoulder looking up at Kinoko with a bright grin, it seemed she was all warmed up and judging by Vegeta's expression he was tired of holding back. With a grin Goku brought his arms to his side before a burst of power erupted from him, his ki flowing out of his body before his hair grew much longer running down his back, the rocks in the area seemed to levitate as his power filled the area, craters forming in the earth around him as his energy danced wildly before quickly containing itself in his form. A small smirk formed on Goku's face as he went Super Saiyan three, he looked at his hands flexing his fingers a few times before glancing over at Vegeta.

Vegeta seemed to scoff and went Super Saiyan two his power bursting out of his body destroying a nearby cliff in the process, he leaned his head to the side cracking his neck before lifting into the air, Goku rising up with him as they both floated in front of Kinoko. With a smile Goku got into stance and Vegeta kept his arms crossed his gaze moving to Kinoko since they seemed to be finally getting into things.
"I'm done holding back," Vegeta said his hair taking on a blue color.
Goku glanced over at him as the ground under him caved in under the immense pressure of his Ki, he spread his legs getting into stance as he eyed Kinoko, it was more than likely a bit of overkill to go this far but Vegeta seemed done playing around, if Kinoko had enough time to smile and call out to them she was clearly ready for a proper battle.
"Kakarot we're beginning for real," Vegeta said. "Get your act together."
Goku glanced at Vegeta then back at Kinoko, closing his eyes he brought his arms to his sides and his hair shrunk back to the Super Saiyan two before he turned into Super Saiyan Blue shortly after, though the after effect of his transformation did a little more damage than Vegeta's causing him to narrow his eyes at him.
"I thought we'd work up to this though...but I haven't had a chance to train with Kinoko in a bit, no sense holding back right now that we can spar," Goku said smiling at Kinoko. "Those were some good hits earlier Kinoko, I'm all pumped up, let's really get into it."
"Stop talking and fight! Kinoko we're going again and hit harder I barely felt those attacks earlier!"
"Hey Vegeta what if we gave her a reward? Kinoko if you can wind Vegeta and me we'll take you anywhere you want sometime."
"What?! I'm not doing that!"
"Come on you want her to fight all out right. A reward might help push her a little more. We're going to come at her with everything we have after all I think it only fair she get something, besides we haven't done anything together for a while."
"I'm not spending time with you and she's a grown woman she can go anywhere she likes on her own."
"Fine then...I think Kinoko can do it and when we go somewhere we'll just train without you."
It was pretty much a guarantee Goku was going to want to train wherever they went, in fact that was probably his intention in the first place but whatever the reason it seemed to be enough to rile Vegeta up.
"Like hell you will! Fine if she can make me sweat a little I'll consider it."
"Great it's settled, don't hold back Kinoko or Vegeta won't come."
"Don't just decide things for me you idiot!"

Ryo wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead as he finished some of his work, he let out a content sigh and moved his hands to his hips, there was nothing like a hard day's work after all. Though he would personally prefer being far away from the city at this point, because for some strange reason when he took a moment to check on the Ki from earlier, it had amplified considerably, to a point where he could feel it from where he was without trying to sense it. At one point he thought it was getting closer since it was so large, but that didn't appear to be the case, he wasn't sure what or whose energy that was but he was just going to focus on cleaning the floors and doing everything in his power not to think about it.
"Yo Ryo you seem nervous you okay," Soru said walking up to him.
"Hm...oh I'm fine," Ryo said raising a hand to him. "Just thinking about payday and the bills I have to pay."
"Ahahah I see, well try to focus on the positive, like those drinks you'll owe me," Soru said patting him on the shoulder.
"Ah...it makes me sad you can't sense these things Soru. Cause to me it's like a meteor is slowly approaching the city...I want to know what it is but that is wayyy more power than I have. If it's something bad paying my rent will be the least of problems."
"I'll do that," Ryo said grabbing his bucket. "Come on we have plenty of work to do."

The princess took notice ice of their quick transformations, as well as their sudden increase in power. For that, she let a rush of energy run through her body until it radiated blue. With a shout, her hair began to turn blue, slowly from root to tip, as it still trailed down to her waist. The blue aura surrounded her, creating a few giant cracks in the Earth. Once she opened her eyes, the aura disappeared, making her blue hair seem as if it was natural.

She could only grin in amusement at her two brothers, once they started the bicker. Goku was just too nice, while Vegeta didn’t seem to accept the fact his own sister can have some fun with her little brother. It only begged the question whether if the prince was jealous of her hanging out with Goku. Well, it did kind of explain the fact that she and Vegeta trained together constantly, while leaving Goku out to dry.

Maybe if she did win this battle, she can finally get some time with Goku. “I’ll make him sweat, alright. Consider this as an opportunity to see my combat skills, at its fullest”, she commented before taking stance, and maintaining full focus on the two of them. In all of her years growing up in the Frieza Force, such power wasn’t to be expected from the female Saiyan; she had managed to overwhelm a large amount of troops, and overpower her former Saiyan teammates: Nappa and Raditz, mainly because they weren’t on the same level of strength that she and Vegeta shared.

This time, instead of letting them attack her first, she advanced on them. Before she landed a blow, she disappeared, before appearing above Vegeta, and hitting him on the head with both of her forearms, causing him to plummet from the sky, and to the ground.

Goku blinked as he watched Vegeta crash into the ground below, he scratched his cheek and moved a few feet away from Kinoko at that.
"I think you made him mad," Goku said. "I'm just going to move over here for a second."
The sky started to turn dark as lightning crashed around them, a burst of power exploding from the hole where Vegeta landed, it seemed his power vanished for a moment before a hand gripped Kinoko's shoulder with immense force, Vegeta hovering directly behind Kinoko his power coming out in waves as he glared at his sister.
"Grit your teeth."
That was the only warning he gave before his fist slammed into Kinoko's cheek sending her flying towards one of the cliffs, Goku brought a hand to his face as Vegeta built energy into his hands and started firing continuous blasts towards Kinoko only stopping when the cliffs themselves were basically ash.
"Vegeta that was a bit much," Goku said.
"I don't see any point in holding back if she wants to hang out with you that badly," Vegeta responded.
"Bulma's not going to be happy if she comes back all bruised."
"Neither is your woman."
The two Saiyan's looked at each other before realizing the mess they had got themselves into too, still they turned towards Kinoko knowing she wasn't going to go down from one punch and got back into stance, whatever would come, they'd deal with it later.

Ryo let out a small sigh and as he went to get more water, he looked over at Soru who was chatting with a few female executives nearby. A few looking particularly lovestruck, except Miss Haruna but she was always like that. Soru believed she was married so he didn't flirt with her, though it didn't make the scene any less painful, those woman didn't even look in his direction after all because he was a lowly janitor. Soru was in the same job and just watching how invested they were in the conversation was a little depressing. Ryo sighed a little and started filling his bucket. Hearing footsteps he noticed three young men approach, two of them in black suits, one a bit plump with a shaved head, and the other skinny with bob cut hair. The last one was in a white suit wearing pretty gaudy jewelry with slicked back black hair.
"Well hey there," the white dressed man said.
"...Hey Tasu," Ryo said removing the bottom of one of his mops.

The man next to him was named Tasu and he was the son of one of the executives here, the executive was apparently pretty high up meaning Tasu was rich, and the two next to him was his underlings, he didn't know their names so he just called the fat one Hench 1 and the skinny one Hench 2, the suits they had on were given to them by Tasu but they had family in the building too.
Tasu walked over and kicked over Ryo's bucket of water.
"Whoops...my bad," Tasu said.
"Ah it's no problem," Ryo said grabbing the bucket. "Happens to best of us."
Soru filled the bucket up once again only for it to be kicked over again, he mentally sighed as this happened on occasion, part of being on the lowest rungs of society. He filled the bucket again and held it this time since he was heading back, but Hench 1 tripped him causing him to fall and drop the bucket and mop.
"Yep...one of those days huh..." Ryo thought.
Tasu stared down at Ryo his eyes narrowing before he raised his black dress shoes and slammed them on Ryo's back.
"Oi...you got dirty mop water on my shoes. Clean it off...that's your job right!"
He repeatedly stepped on Ryo before motioning to his henchman who nodded and stepped on Ryo as well with the same excuse, after a few minutes of this the young men walked away laughing to themselves, leaving Ryo on the ground covered in dirt and bruises. With a small sigh Ryo climbed to his feet and brushed the dirt off his uniform.
"Ryo!"
Ryo turned seeing Soru run up to him, he helped him brush off the dirt narrowing his eyes at the figures in the distance.
"Damn it did those bastards do this...I'm sorry man, you should have told me you were going to refill. You know they attack you if you go alone," Soru said.
"Ah you seemed busy and I figured I'd try," Ryo said.
"Dude you always come first...unless she's really cute. In this instance though you can just have me come with you...or at least stand up for yourself. Hell I'll get fired with you."
"Nah I like the pay at this job," Ryo said grinning at him. "I can deal with this anyway."
"You should get some Martial Arts Training or something man, there's plenty of places around here like Mr. Satan's place or something. Anything so you don't have to put up with this...I can cover for you if it hurts.
"Nah I'm fine," Ryo said picking up his bucket. "Let's just get back to work. The sun's setting."
"Damn it...it's hard to be mad at you when you're such a good friend."
"Thanks Soru I-"
Ryo started to talk but stopped seeing Soru talking to a nearby woman, he brought a hand to his face and trembled slightly. He did say he was fine so he couldn't blame him but he could doubt him just a little more.

Kinoko did not expect Vegeta to give her solid punch, square to the side of her face. However, she did understand the anger contained within it. She knew Vegeta wouldn’t go down without a fight, and for that, she was prepared for this to come. It seemed that the world around began to crumble, as a cliff turned into nothing due to her brother’s blasting the only mark left behind, being the bruise forming on her cheek. Lightly touching it with her fingers, the only feeling she had, was the one that demanded payback.

Levitating back up towards them, arms at her sides and fists clenched, the princess eyed them both, before lightning crashed around them, once again; her blue hair gently waving in the wind. Slowly lifting a hand in front of her, she narrowed her eyes, before an invisible force suddenly tugged them out of the sky, and towards the ground. Once they crashed, the telekinetic force made it impossible for them to move. As a result, the princess descended quickly down towards them, having to land on Goku’s chest hard enough to create a crater.

Stop his chest, Kinoko eyed the younger before glancing at Vegeta, and lifting her hand, once again; this time, levitating a giant boulder, and sending it crashing down upon the older, pinning him there. “Say Uncle”, she simply said, playfully, clenching her fist a little, making the boulder pin him even more.

Goku noticed the look on Kinoko's face and narrowed his eyes, this wasn't good he knew that look. He started to say something when the force slammed them into the earth, Goku closed one eye before his mouth opened as Kinoko slammed on top of him. Goku stared at her one eyed shut as he fought against the force, his gaze went over to Vegeta who seemed to be having just as much trouble, though he noticed the boulder Kinoko was lifting up, he saw the agitated look on Vegeta's face. He wasn't upset he could tell that much and Kinoko was too a degree making them both sweat, by all means she had won their gamble, Goku wanted to say that but the boulder slammed onto Vegeta. He laughed a little seeing it expecting the fight would reach this point, but it's what Kinoko said next that made him quickly look back at her. That was a mistake, in one of their sparring sessions he could understand that, but Kinoko knew Vegeta, was she not thinking?!

"....it's comments like that....that make all this training necessary!"
A burst of blue exploded from Vegeta hurling the two away from him and destroying the boulder in the process, Vegeta was in front of Kinoko within seconds his knee slamming into her stomach before his slammed both his fists onto her back knocking her back down to the earth.
"Vegeta! Stop!" Goku said climbing to his feet.
Vegeta ignored Goku and grabbed Kinoko by the front of her uniform bringing his fists back.
"You don't give your opponent the chance to surrender!" Vegeta said slamming his fist into Kinoko's face. "Did Kakarot teach you that! That's now how a proper Saiyan does battle!"
He started to punch her again when a hand wrapped around his wrist, he glanced back noticing Goku was holding him, he grit his teeth at the Saiyan's look before he shook his head at him. Vegeta pulled his arm free and released Kinoko.
"You're not helping Kakaort! Holding back against her, how is she supposed to become stronger if you coddle her all the time."
"Vegeta that's not-" Goku started but stopped as Vegeta walked away from him.
"You're both a disgrace to our race, can't stand the sight of either of you," Vegeta said before he flew into the air and vanished into the distance.
Goku sighed and rubbed the back of his head, he held a hand out towards Kinoko.
"It's not like Vegeta wasn't holding back too..." Goku said sighing. "Kinoko you shouldn't taunt Vegeta. You now how stubborn he can be..."
Knowing Vegeta he was going to vanish for a few days again, and would end up training by himself ignoring everyone.
"You should probably tell Bulma Vegeta's not coming home for a few days," Goku said crossing his arms. "I'll try and talk to him later...he was sweating so he'll have to keep his promise...still I think we should stop here for today. You lost a little bit of control again."

Kinoko thought she had in the bag, and that everything would be under her control, in order to win, but her overconfidence probably got too far into her head. That mistake was given, by the time Vegeta started to beat her, senseless. The punch only spurred memories of her abuse from Raditz, and now, she wanted to get the Prince to know what it felt like. However, before she could do anything to retaliate, Goku interfered before things could escalate.

She honestly tried her best, to at least get on his level, but the effect only proved itself fruitless. Coughing a bit, since the wind was blown out of her, Kinoko’s hair went back to normal, shortly before taking Goku’s hand, although she did make a small wince at the amount of aching within her body. “I thought I could get on his level. It would seem I’m nowhere near it”, she honestly admitted. Did spending time on Earth really mess up her head? Having to make her forget about the customs of a traditional Saiyan, like how she was raised to be?

“What do you mean?”

Goku rubbed the back of his head as he looked at Kinoko, he knew Vegeta was going to beat himself up about this later, he tried not to let his anger get the best of him when it came to Kinoko. Though he wasn't going to admit that so they're talk later was going to be a long one. He brushed a bit of dirt off Kinoko and smiled patting Kinoko on the shoulder, perhaps a bit too hard considering they just finished fighting.
"Hmmm I'm not sure how to explain it but you lost your focus for a moment," Goku said holding up a finger. "That's what let Vegeta get the jump on you, he took advantage of that opening."
Goku crossed his arms and turning looked in the direction Vegeta had gone, he couldn't sense his energy anymore so he knew he was gone, which meant he could probably say this Kinoko.
"You're strong Kinoko and I'm positive you'll get on Vegeta's level, I think you'll even surpass me one day," Goku said holding up a fist and grinning at Kinoko. "You got that much potential we both can see it, and we want you to reach it."
Goku's smile faded however and he crossed his arms.
"You've still got a long way to go...you got power, but that's not enough. Whis taught us that the hard way. Vegeta wants you to surpass him though he'll never admit that. That's why he pushes you so hard...but he knows the kind of abuse you took and every time one of his punch's lands he remembers that, it makes him pull back even though he wants to go all out so you can get better. Every time you and Vegeta fights he doesn't want to hold back so you can be stronger and never suffer at the hands of someone like Frieza or Raditz again, but every time he hurts you...he wonders if he's no better than them. That's a constant struggle in his heart when it comes to you, so he tries to put distance between you. It's hurt you and force you to possibly relive that and make you stronger, or hold back...spare you that and watch you stay at your current power only to be hurt again."
Goku chuckled and scratched the top of his head.
"I didn't figure that out on my own by the way, someone had to tell me. Don't repeat this though, you know how Vegeta gets, he'll deny it and probably go off again. So this is just between you and me okay and don't worry I'll get him to come out on an outing together."
Goku smiled and motioned back towards the city.
"Let's head back, I'm starving and dinner should be ready by now!"

So, it wasn’t the shame of only her, but for Vegeta, as well. So, every time either he holds back, or proceeds to push her, he feels the shame of what happened to her in the past. Using her Ki to heal her body, Kinoko thought about this, even back to all the other times she and Vegeta have sparred. They must have made Vegeta become very frustrated, which does explain all of the constant training. In a way, the princess can’t blame him for what happened, but at the same time, she forgave him. It may not sound like how a proper assistant should think, but as his sister, she would. “...and I gave it to him, by taunting him”, she concluded, almost like a guess.

Kinoko needed him —- no, she wanted him to continue pushing her, even if it meant by hurting her, by receiving the neccessary blows. She wanted him to get her angry; she wanted him to push her over the edge, in order to develop the much-needed will to try and reach him. She needed to overcome that fear bottled up inside her. Although the thought of surpassing Goku made her chuckle. “I don’t think anyone can surpass you, Kakarot”, she mused. “You’re quite the special one amongst the three of us.”

Just as Goku began to turn away, Kinoko looked in the direction that Vegeta disappeared. Someday, she will forgive him, but she will leave him to his thoughts, and stick to her word to not mention anything. With that, the princess turned away, and followed her younger brother back to the city.
