In recent years, DeiEx has burst onto the scene, releasing seeming miraculous technological advancements - high-functioning prosthetic implants, cures for neglected tropical diseases, and uncanny updates in self-driving cars are just a few examples of technology and medicine being pumped out by the massive company. You're lucky enough to have been hired - not a high-up, but certainly holding a respectable position within the company. This email catches you completely off-guard - of course you know Dr. Amari, she's the Sheryl-fucking-Sandberg of DeiEx, one of the richest women alive. You read her latest book, Women Working Miracles - the company gave it to you at the Christmas party. And she says she wants to meet? To lead a sweep of a highly classified corporate facility, called the 'Area 51 of Megacorporations', that recently went offline?
You must have really impressed a suit in that last board meeting.
At least, that's the only explanation you care to entertain at the moment.
Eternalism is meant to be a sci-fi RP set in the not-too-distant future (think 2030) that will be a thriller dealing with common sci-fi tropes - some of my inspiration is Stranger Things and Dark, for example. Parallel universes, aliens, time travel, space-time paradoxes, technology indistinguishable from magic... this roleplay could contain some, or all, of this sort of content. Join to find out!
Your character is an employee of the mysterious company DeiEx, probably a high-ranking security official - corporate security, which could range from a white collar coordinator, computer systems analyst, coder, or hacker, to retired military, police, or a hire from a private contractor. Alternatively, your character could be an intellectual - a scientist, doctor, engineer or even a corporate businessperson at DeiEx, a marketer, regional manager, or spokesperson... the intentions behind the email you received are mysterious. All you know is, you were chosen.
The roleplay would be a thriller, like I mentioned. Your characters would be at danger, but, perhaps, death won't be as permanent here as in other roleplays...
