Yeah, I'm doing well. Work scheduled is getting all moved around at the moment however so my timetable is all skewey currently.

My food coma for the year seems to be hitting me later then normal... Guess I like Ham more then Turkey nowadays.

No particular plans cone to mind at the moment as Kakashi is just planning on grabbing something to go.

He is somewhat distracted by his thoughts at the moment so he might not even notice Airi currently. I could think of something if you wanted but I'm also fine with time simply passing.

Honestly I’m not too picky I can work with either one.
That also depends on if we would want them to talk about the engagement before or after he does his growth with his team.
Maybe a situation of ‘hey it doesn’t bother me’ turns into a YES THIS BOTHERS ME.

At the moment the I'm the nearest catalyst that I can think of that would cause that change would be the mission to wave, especially if the return of that mission is followed up with Airi getting swept up in a bandit situation.

Sasuke "Dying" would shake Kakashi as one of his students was nearly lost but he would recover, as he does. But if while he is recovering from that shock Airi get's placed in danger? Something is going to shift it would have to as Kakashi isn't one to breakdown, add in Guy not leaping at the chance to rescue her for some reason, nothing malicious, something like injury on his team that is grounding them or confidence in any of the chunin teams being able to get it taken care of swiftly. something that would a reasonable excuse to a jonin, that just doesn't resonate with Kakashi who is just getting back from a surprise A rank with his team.

That would firmly switch things from 'this is mostly fine' to 'THIS IS NOT OKAY AT ALL'

We could also have a discussion between Airi and Kakashi before the mission to wave to add emphasis to the change in emotions, reasons why they are there could be simple as that they are using the backyard for a chakra control training day, using the leaf exercise or something equally as unimpactful on the surroundings or Kakashi is walking Naruto there as he coaches the boy on something that is hindering him.

As for things slightly more immediate, the only thing I can think of would be Airi following Kakashi to Rin's grave and learning a bit about his guilt. Rin was a member of his chunin team but despite her dying in the war she is not on the memorial stone. The issue I have with that is that it would likely just become an exposition dump.

So, she sees Kakashi taking off with his order after finishing hers and follows him where she learns a bit about his struggle.
Following day Kakashi is trying to work with Naruto when he runs off in a panic without much of an explanation; but it’s to help Airi Gardening where Kakashi experiences her form of couching and she uses it as an opportunity to chat a bit more before he goes off on his accidental A rank with his team.

How’s that sound for an idea?

Yours was good, struggled a bit on what I wanted Kakashi to do in regards to it, other then just nod approvingly. But the upcoming conversation looks to have more interesting options anyway so I didn't want to delay much longer.

Are you opposed to jumping to the C-ranked mission / Airi getting taken or do you have any more you'd want to write in their chat?

Quick, quiet and quality work. Hallmarks of a good ninja. And while it might seem that Kakashi is being nice to the one who tried to kill Airi, he knows Ibiki and Anko, so letting him live might be more cruel in the long run.

Far from my best I'm sorry.

But I came up with a few ideas.

1] Having Airi try to go home and they tell her to stay somewhere else.

2] She gets to stay home and someone shows up at her door to inquire about the fact that she was walking with Kakashi down the street.

Could use both but I wanted your input!

Don't worry about it, off days happen.

I'm likely going to work the first of the two ideas in to my next post, the kids at least will ask that, maybe a dog if I have them show up. Kakashi is just tired, so his capabilities at being a host are going to be gone.

People showing up to ask Airi about walking with Kakashi a bit after seeing would only have more questions if they try and she happens to not be at home.
