"I desire no future that chains me to the past." Name: Lydia
Age: Unknown, she looks like a girl in her late teens/early twenties, but is likely older than this, given her heritage.
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Elf
Height: 157 cm
Weight: 46 kg
Hair Color: Honey Blonde
Eye Color: Brownish Red
Appearance: Lydia is by a bewitching young woman, by any definition of those terms one might think. She does have an average build, taller than your "typical" elf, yet shorter than the usual human, with a fair complexion, slightly tanned by long hours of exposition to the sun, medium length, somewhat unkempt, bright blonde hair which would certainly look gorgeous is she were to pay a bit more of attention to her feminine charms. Nevertheless, the feature which draws more attention at first sight are her eyes, not only for their color, resembling rich red clay but also for their seeming lack of any sort of emotion, which portray very well what the weight of a life of loneliness can do to one's soul.
When it comes to dressing, Lydia is nothing short of utilitarian. Yet, one cannot negate that the short, knee-lentgh, sleeveless "armored dress", composed of a mithril chainmail and dark, golden-trimmed leather, that she wears under her elven cloak nearly at all times, along with a matching set of greaves, gauntlets and thigh-high stockings, does wonders to frame her femininity. Long ago, Lydia would have preferred to wear field armor, but heavy equipment interferes with the practice of her craft, thus she got used to this equipment, which is of much better quality than even most knights can ever hope to afford, given its elven origins. Even then, she secretly thanks her mantle for hiding these features which tend to make people look her down as both a woman and a half-breed.
Abilities: Being a powerful battle-sorceress, or war witch, Lydia is privy to many secrets and mysteries of magic that few others are even able to imagine that exist. Being a keeper of the elven arts, she's also a capable warrior whose skill with her weapon of choice is nothing short of legendary.
Equipment:Fragarach— a collapsible, silvery spear, which compels any who are held to its tip to say naught but the truth.
A utilitarian dagger, which she keeps concealed at all times. A former mercenary knows better than to ever go unarmed, after all.
An elven cloak, perfect to travel in any weather as well as conceal oneself in all manner of forest and woodlands.
An Imperial badge and signet, usually kept hidden since it would betray her identity on spot.
A very light chainmail vest, woven by elven craftsmen with the legendary metal mithril. It's many times stronger than steel, yet being as little cumbersome as any other piece of mundane garment.
Personality: Lydia is a quiet person, speaking little and on short sentences, preferring to be left alone when there's no business to be handled. She usually doesn't think that much of herself as a woman, preferring to focus on the other aspects that make her being. She has been a tool to others for most of her life, there's no point in ever wishing for any other lifestyle, especially when her current position came with so much latitude as long as she got her job done.
History: An orphan, born of the violation of her elven mother by a human mercenary, Lydia was always raised with indifference on the isolated community her mother used to live in. At best she was tolerated and, at worst, outright abused both physically and verbally. Had not her adaptability and aptitude for both the sword and the staff shown itself from an early age, the likelihood of Lydia starving to death would be high. Yet, she survived and thrived, joining the same mercenary band that once housed her father and pursuing a life of battle that would eventually get her to the position of Imperial Battle Mage.
Other:— Her only known pastimes are reading and training either her martial or arcane skills, she'll default to one of these automatically, when she has nothing to do.
— Thanks to being of elven heritage, Lydia has a few physiological advantages when compared to a normal human, even if they can't really catch up to the might of a pureblooded elf. Among these are the fact that she needs much less sleep and food, has sharper senses and the ability to see as well during the night as she would during the day as long as there's at least a minimal source of light.
— After spending her whole life running away from her cursed heritage and gender, lest she suffers the same fate of her mother, Lydia has no idea of how to react if someone were to properly treat her as a woman. Such a concept is completely alien to her.
