Summer camp? What? Am I 10 years old? Xavier sighed heavily, his eyes watching the racing trees outside is passenger window. He fiddled a bit with the phone in his hand, skipping song after song until finding the right one. Damn his parents, they didn't even care enough to be the ones to 'drop him off'. Much like when he was a little kid, he was being dropped off by the family's personal servant rather than his own mother or father. Yet they were always the one asking what was wrong with him? Heh, yeah, he was the one fucked up. Xavier's hand reached for a button, lowering the window. With a quick motion, he extracted a cigarette, lit it with his metal flip lighter, and took a quick drag. "Master Xavier, your parents won't be pleased when I return with the lingering smell of a cigarette." But the music blasting in Xavier's ears was enough for him to tune out the old bat, and he just continued driving. Besides, at least he had the decency to roll down the windows.
Ugh, pine air. It smelt gross, and already Xavier was beginning to feel sick to his stomach. Get away for the summer, his parents said. Get some fresh air. Being shipped off to a summer camp like an unwanted child wasn't what Xavier had in mind. He more so envisioned himself on Miami beach, girls in both his arms, and smoking a Cuban than this little twerp of a cigarette. Then at night, when the real party started, he could see himself cruising the streets in his M4 BMW. His own pride and joy. But now his precious baby was hundreds of miles away, tucked away in a 12 car garage back home. Poor baby probably thought her master abandoned her, and it tore at Xavier's heartstrings as well. He craved for the smell of burnt rubber on asphalt, not this 'fresh air' bull. The car came to a halt at a large wooden cabin. There was nothing as far as his eyes could see. Only a giant lake, some trees, some open grass, and a few more cabins scattered here and there. A few other teens were walking around, talking and laughing. Some were even turning their attention towards the Model S Tesla that had just seemed to grace their presence. Xavier sank lower in his seat, as if his body could melt into a puddle and get soaked up into the carpet bellow him. All the maids in the Thorne's household wouldn't be able to scrub out the embarrassment that stained his father's car.
"You know I'm not leaving without you out of this car, Master Xavier. You and I would both rather not cause a scene among your peers." Peers? Jesus, they were just other dumb teenagers. Xavier grumbled and popped open his door, grabbing up his black Supreme duffle bag. His clothes screamed rich kid, as he fixed his Ray bands on his face, pushing his phone deep into his pocket. He felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb as his the car turned to abandon him here. Yep, unwanted child alright. Xavier sighed again, making his way to a table where some counselors were seated, going through paperwork. "Name?"
"Xavier Thorne." That seemed to turn a few more heads in his direction, and even caused the counselor to jump a little. "I see. Our resident troublemaker for the summer. We've already been in contact with your parents. You'll be in cabin 13. I suggest you get your things settled away and start socializing." Xavier scoffed and turned his back to the table and made his way to the 13th cabin. Socialize? With these barbarians? Right, get right on that. Xavier rolled his eyes so hard his head felt like it was going to pop off. "And put out that cigarette. They aren't allowed out here." Xavier turned his head, taking another long drag of the cigarette before walking off, keeping it in his hand. Oh yeah, they weren't going to have an easy time taming this beast.
Approaching cabin 13, Xavier stowed away his bag in a lock box at the end of one bed. These idiots would be thinking twice if he was going to have his items so easily of access to anyone. Besides, he packing a few things of his own for entertainment over the summer. A loud chiming sound rang through speakers attached to the old log cabin that Xavier arrived at, announcing that everyone meet out in the center field of all the cabins. Xavier, slamming the trunk closed and locking it, decided to entertain the โCamp Counselorsโ with his attentionโฆ but if they didnโt have anything interesting to say, he would direct his attention else where. Perhaps to some of the girls that were prancing around in short shorts. Sure, it was hot out, but come on. Girls only showed that much skin when they wanted a guyโs attention.
