As you all know, maybe, and what I'm probably just ever so slightly late in mentioning, Roo (AKA Meth Quokka) was a mod here.

As a fellow Aussie, I respected the hell out of that drunken, beer drinking and potbellied bastard. He was my secret go-to guy, the one I'd rely on to swiftly delete threads that I instantly regretted making, and other uncomfortable stuff like that, without feeling like I was being judged. I mean, I haven't even been here a year yet, so the relationship may not have been as long term I make it sound, and hell, I may even be exaggerating a little about the intimacy side of things. But still, you know what I mean, and even if you don't, that's fine too. But my point is... now I have to find some other poor bastard to take my discrete Guild issues to.

So there you have it, you've heard my piece, now how about a thought or two from some others here. Who was Kangaroo to you?

While I wouldn't say 'Roo was quite my "pocket mod" for getting things done, He is a few other things in my estimation.
- One of the last of a 'generation' of staff from a time where I think staff were at their best. This is from when he was active, mind you, before dropping and then returning.
- An approachable fellow with a fair personality and appropriate temperament to be a mod. Lax, but not necessarily passive, which is a key distinction I look for.
- a fairly good meme

And yep. Can't say more, as we never really did anything but have the once in a blue moon chat.

I've always liked the username? Very straightforward and easy for nicknames/shorten it. Improvement over the previous, in my two cents. (Yeah, this self-admittedly being one of my weaker usernames aside. Everyone's a critic.)
