Description: Lavender is tall for her age. Her long black hair and pale complexion gives her the look of a Hollywood Vampire, and she plays into this look big time. Goth kid squared, basically. She wears a lot of black, often with deep red, blue or purple accents, but very little make up. She also does not sport the religious symbols most Goth kids sports, but opts for stars, dragons and the occasional Celtic knot instead. No permanent tattoos or piercings, Lavender’s look is literally worn as an armor.
Personality: Lavender is used to keeping people at arm’s length. She knows she’s different, and has learned that by standing out, she can actually become almost invisible. All people see is her image, and they often keep their distance because of it. Who Lavender really is, and what she might be capable of, remain invisible to the naked eye. She’s not openly hostile, she just doesn’t invite you in. Deep down, Lavender is really curious about magic and all she is going to learn at school. She’s also eager to make friends and meet more people like her, but shedding her habit of hiding will take time. Lavender is kind, honest and friendly, even on the surface. Once you’ve made the connection, however, you’ll find a friend for live. Few people will stand by you and defend even your worst mistakes like Lavender will.

Skills: Lavender can make herself become invisible for short periods, and can take beloved items with her. She once managed to make a bully sick when he wouldn’t stop twisting her arm behind her back, but has not been able to recreate what she did.
Weaknesses: Lavender has little to no combat experience, and is very inexperienced in her magical abilities in general. Combined with her tendency to isolate herself, her insecurities can be used against her.
Brief History: Lavender was adopted by non-magical parents. Her birthparents are among those who died in the war, and Lavender is not aware of any details. She was told her parents died, and that her adoptive parents do not know what happened to them. Lavender loves her adoptive parents, considers them her mom and dad, and has so far displayed little interest in her biological family. Lavender is capable of some instinctive trickery, she made her teddy invisible when her mom decided it was time to toss it, and has a knack for disappearing when the dishes need doing, but she’s never felt free to explore these talents. Lavender’s adoptive parents have always known that they are incapable of teaching Lavender how to control her abilities. They have always been open with Lavender about the adoption, her abilities and everything else. The decision to send Lavender to Marchand was the result of a long series of discussions, and something the entire family supports.

Dark, thick locks of hair cascade down Mina's back and curls around her youthful face. Her skin is the color of peanut butter, and speckling her nose are freckles that are a darker brown than her skin. She'll usually cover these freckles, as well as any other blemishes, with a thin layer of concealer and foundation. She has a prominent nose and full lips that always look poised to speak something important. But her most compelling feature is her piercing brown eyes that can change from affection to aversion without notice. Mina stands at five feet and six inches tall, and weighs in at around one hundred-sixty five pounds. She is also very toned and athletic, thanks to spending a good portion of her time exercising.
Mina carries herself elegantly with good posture, long confident strides, and her head held high. Due to this and her love of high heels, she often looks taller than she really is. When smiling, you can see that she has two rows of perfectly white teeth, a slight overbite present. When it comes to her fashion sense, Mina surprisingly likes to keep it simple. When out and about, you'll usually see her wearing pants or jeans, a plain T-shirt, and a pair of sneakers or heels. When it's cold, she'll swap the T-shirt out for a solid colored sweater or wear a black, leather jacket over top of it. Mina does not have any visible scarring, but does have one that does down the length of her thigh from a childhood incident.
Personality:
It is very clear that Mina is a genuinely friendly young woman. On the surface, she proves to be a very energetic and lively person. When she's with her friends she is rarely seen without a goofy grin on her face. She can be described as the bright ray of sunshine in a group, always trying her best to make others happy whether it be by giving them authentic compliments or cracking jokes. Many of her friends also describe her as adventurous and spontaneous; she's usually the one trying to get people to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. What most people don't realize, however, is how little they actually know about Mina. She has a tendency to be a bit "two-faced," and is great at socially accommodating when around different groups of people in an attempt to be liked by everyone. Some call it "fake," while Mina just calls it adapting.
Mina's intelligence is mostly based on her determination to succeed; all throughout grade school, she has studied more than the average student in order to "stay ahead of the game," as she likes to say. She's very articulate and observant, tending to notice things about people that they may not even be consciously aware of themselves. With the aid of her eloquence, Mina is very manipulative, like her mother, and finds joy in getting others to do as she pleases. Another trait she inherited from her mother is her love for the finer things such as flashy jewelry and expensive shoes. As a result, she is a bit of a kleptomaniac and takes things without thinking. She does not like to talk about her own personal life, instead preferring to hear about the lives of everyone else. She's very blunt and straightforward, and doesn't hesitate to put someone in their place. She also has anger issues and a bunch of pent up frustration; when pushed to her limit, she will blow up at whoever is nearby.

✣ Holographic Projection | Thanks to a few years of training from her mother under her belt, Mina has grown to be very adept at holographic projection. She can create, shape and manipulate holograms, fully three-dimensional images. As such they are based on sight only and have no effect to other senses or have physical presence.
✣ Physical Ability | Mina has been very physically active since she was a child; she's always been a part of some sort of sports team that requires a great deal of strenuous conditioning and training. Even during off season she'd be found jogging around or doing other exercises in order to stay in shape.

✣ Details | Mina, despite being very observant, often forgets to add little details when she creates these projections; She'll sometimes make mistakes such as creating things that don't exist or situations that would never happen in a million years. One common mistake is misplacing a feature on a person, or forgetting to add shadows to their forms.
✣ Reckless Risk-Taking | Mina takes a lot of risks, whether they are dangerous and life-threatening or not. She has never been one to back down from a challenge and is an overall adventurous person. Although her risk-taking sometimes leads to disaster, she always hopes for the best possible outcome.
Brief History:
The Thomas bloodline is fairly new compared to others, only being able to be traced back to the African slaves that had been transported to Jamaica in the early 1500's. Though not being a particularly prominent family, the Thomases did play a significant role, behind closed doors, in the abolition of slavery in the small island as well as the eventual independence of Jamaica within the British Commonwealth. The family kept a low profile ever since Jamaica gained its independence, living among the "normal" people of the island and continuing to pull strings behind the scenes. Those who know of the Thomas family know them to be a bloodline of noble, unrelenting activists and gifted illusionists.
Mina herself was born in the bustling city of Chicago as the only daughter of Jamaican immigrants Dionne and Martin Thomas, two very powerful illusionists. Throughout her childhood years, Mina grew to be very knowledgeable about her family's history and their extraordinary abilities. In fact, when her own abilities began to manifest, her parents took it upon themselves to teach her as much as they could about how to control them. She was constantly instructed by her parents to keep her abilities under wraps so that she could live the "normal life" that they'd envisioned, but this all changed when she received an offer to attend a school where she could learn more about harnessing and controlling her magic without worrying about staying hidden. It took a great deal of convincing, but her parents eventually gave in.

Primary Trickery Liana uses the element of trickery in order to aid her in her line of work as an assassin and a mercenary. Over the years, she's been using this type of magic to make herself one of the sneakiest and deadliest out there, through a variety of ways.
One of her most commonly used magical feats is the ability to conceal larger weapons and a large number of tools. Most assassins often resort to the use of knives or handguns due to their concealability, and often have to sacrifice power and range for it. However, Liana can conceal any kind of weapon and tool she pleases through the method of teleporting objects through concealable areas into places only she knows about. The weapons and tools she has is almost innumerable, ranging from knives to sniper rifles, whatever she needs for the job. However, while she can get any kind of weapon she has stored beforehand, she normally relies on a Type 56 (AK, listed below in Equipment) that she can augment to be silenced. Normally she carries it around openly so she can react quicker in an emergency, but when she has to, she can easily conceal it through concealment teleportation.
One of her other go-tos with trickery magic is the forgery of just about anything. She carries a wallet full of blank cards so she can easily forge whatever she needs at a moment's notice, whether it would be a driver's license for that state, counterfeit cash, a permit for the AK she has slung to her side, or a badge for a government agency. This was her primary method of escaping from the authorities, as well as infiltrating them. Being an assassin with a moral code not to harm innocents, she's often pulling out fake IDs much more often than she pulls out her firearms. The forgery that she creates on something can only last for 24 hours, so while she can easily create huge stacks of counterfeit cash to pay for things, her enemies won't know that they got scammed until it is too late (she pays people she likes with real money she rightfully stole). She can forge other things, ranging from documents to checks, as well as entire signs.
Liana can cast other illusions, often times adding or removing features of herself in order to suit whatever situation she is in. She casts other illusions too, such as making herself appear different when infiltrating enemies that know her, or making her face blur with every camera she passes. She can make herself and others invisible as well, but that takes a bit of mental effort. Sometimes, whenever she is fighting in open battle, she likes to cast a spell to make her look like she's wearing 'war paint' on her face, as to make herself look more intimidating in battle. She can also cast an illusion spell on her weapons to add proper red-dot sights that only she can see in order to assist in long-range aiming with them. Among other things, she can completely silence her steps and her weapons, to remain absolutely silent and stealthy as possible. She can cast other minor spells in the trickery field, but those mentioned here are what she's pretty good at through lots of practice.
Secondaries Healing Liana has the ability to heal herself and others. This is one of the first magical abilities that Liana learned during her time as a muggle, and it was something that she developed over time. She used this ability and practiced it on herself any time she got herself into a bad scrape. By the time she went to Iraq to join the ISC, she had already learned how to (slowly) heal bullet wounds, and used her magical healing ability to keep her comrades alive and well through the hellish Iraqi warzone. She can heal broken bones and help people recover from something as big as explosions, but it takes some time and energy for her to do.
Shadow Step Liana's ability to step through shadows was something she learned in her early days of her career from an assassin who was quite good at it. However, while she uses it often to get around and infiltrate enemy areas, she is still intermediate at it, often having a little trouble getting through, and falling from ceilings. She can travel through the shadows to pass through walls and go through different floors, but she can only move through the shadow space for a certain amount of time before she would have to leave again (as she will be feeling quite sick if she moved around in there for too long). She often uses the shadow space to hide from the enemy, but again, can only remain in there for a short amount of time, up to about three minutes before she would need to take a breath again. She normally uses this ability defensively, or simply as a form of traversal. While Liana cannot use it to chase someone, all too often she uses the shadows to hide bodies and kill her marks, leaving them there to never be discovered again.
Equipment Liana normally carries a Modernized Kalashnikov Folding Automatic Rifle (AKMS) almost at all times, with the ability to conceal it whenever necessary. When her AK is concealed, it is kept in a separate, buried safe full of spare AKs and other weapons that she can access at any time through her trickery magic. She has a separate ammo dump for magazines that can fire just about any kind of round she has prepared beforehand. Many of the rounds she fires are pre-enchanted rounds she purchased herself (such as armor-piercing, anti-magic, silver, non-lethal rubbershock, incendiary, explosive, electric, acidic, nerf foam). However, these rounds are pre-enchanted, so Liana would have to reload her weapon with the correct magazine in order to fire them. All of Liana's weapons she uses can be rendered completely silent at will, or reduce the sound to make it loud but not deafening.
Liana has a depot of other things she can summon at will from underneath any piece of clothing, ranging from firearms to explosives. She often has a variety of tools on hand needed for just about anything, which could be cutters, flares, gas masks, oxygen, screwdrivers, or whatever someone like her would need on the field. Over the years, she's prepared a massive cache in an undisclosed bunker of things she might possibly need at some point, but she is limited only in what she can conceivably need. For example, she can pull out and distribute gas masks to herself and everyone else in an event of a chemical attack, but if someone asks for a special type of sword, she cannot summon it as she didn't even conceive it, and thus didn't get it and put it in her bunker.
A personal rifle that was issued to her when she was contracted to work for the Iraqi Security Coalition 6 years ago. It's her personal rifle that she holds very dear to her, complete with a heart carved on the left side of the wooden butt stock (with Arabic written inside of it) and around 192 small inked tallies on the right, all of them inked in black with 4 inked in red. It shows clear signs of wear, having been used for years. There's also an emblem stamped on the base of the butt stock, an emblem of an Arab-Kurdish coalition that fought against terrorists in Northern Iraq. Unlike all of her other weapons, this is kept in a personal display case with a picture of a woman named Sukaina in it.
Description Liana can best be described as an African American woman with darker skin, but with the facial inflections of an Asian. She has some defined muscles that make her look a little tougher than most women her size, being at 5'6". However, the only muscles on display are often her arms as she wears basic grey T-shirts and skinny cargo pants that match whatever environment she is in (they aren't enchanted, she changes them everywhere she goes with her trickery). On top of the T-shirts she wears, she often wears a tactical vest with ballistic plates that match whatever environment she is in, often containing pouches that she can pull whatever she needs from. She wears combat boots at almost all times, and when needed, she can summon a Kevlar helmet or a baseball cap of any color pertaining to whatever environment she is in. She normally has her hair in braided pigtails (as pictured above), but she can change her black hair to whatever suits the occasion. She is often seen with an AK slung by her side, with an empty pouch or two to pull out whatever she needs.
Personality Liana's a rather casual person, and thanks to her magical abilities she's accrued over her long career, she can afford to be. While she's casual in regards to herself, she still values the lives of others, and takes them and her particular line of work very seriously. Liana hasn't been around too many people, so she might act casual in the face of authorities as well. She might be quite cold (emotionally and literally) when on the job against enemies, any friend she does make she's absolutely loyal to. She has a soft spot for children too, and doesn't mind being around them at all. And despite her cold ways, she absolutely loves light-hearted stuff, and will gladly balance the darkness of her life with a little light, like song and dance. While she loves a good fight as anyone else, she's not the type to kill unnecessarily. She targets her marks and her marks only, and tries to minimize damage to others as much as possible. She will also go out of her way to help others, and has proven time and time again that while she has no room for enemies in her heart, it's because that room is reserved for those she cares about. However, thanks to her casting of forbidden magic in the past, Liana's murderous tendencies tend to be a little more pronounced these days.
Relationship Liana once had a lover during her tour in Iraq, but this lover, Sukaina, was killed by intolerant group of Muslims who weren't particular to her homosexual relationship with Liana. While Liana does believe that Sukaina awaits Liana to come join her in the afterlife, she believes that Sukaina would've wanted Liana to move on, and find someone else to make her happy. As such, she's single, DTF and pretty lonely.

Weaknesses Liana is just as human as anyone else, and has no magical defenses. She normally wears a tactical vest with ballistic SAPI plates that protect her from all kinds of kinetic damage, but other than that, she has every other shortcoming a human being would. She is completely reluctant to hurt innocents, and will probably rebel against those who order her to do so. (She has a history of doing that.) No one really knows what her real name is, as Liana Washington is a name she gave herself when she began her career as an assassin. Knowing who she is and displaying it would be shocking, at the very least. Liana loves animals (especially cute ones), and will probably lose her shit if she sees someone harming any. Liana also has a soft spot for children, and will try to make sure they stay out of harm's way. Liana often acts in self interest, and while she would totally help out friends if she can, she hasn't made any so far so it will be easy to persuade her to do things for herself. While she tries to take time to analyze a situation, pressure for time often puts her at a disadvantage where she makes a lot of mistakes, and can often lead her to use her more mundane abilities rather than powers she can consciously use to her advantage. Having grown up in the "Muggle World", she doesn't have much respect nor does she have much knowledge of the mage world at all. She will often underestimate the abilities her enemies, and treat them as the muggle targets she killed by the hundreds. She will also underestimate the ability of her allies, and treat them as the muggles she's fought alongside and protected during her tour in Iraq. She can often over-analyze a situation, and become paranoid after put at a huge disadvantage. Having been the apex predator in her world, she doesn't react well to being dominated by a (metaphorically speaking) bigger fish. And will certainly not react well to being dominated by an actual fish.
Brief History Born and raised in New York City, Liana grew up in a rough environment that really screwed up with her mind, as well as her sense of morality. When she was 6 years old, she watched as her mother and brother were killed by a drive-by shooting, one that turned out to be sent to the wrong address. She grew up in a run-down foster home after that, and growing up, she worked towards her fantasy and dream of killing those responsible of murdering her family. No amount of therapists could stop her, and by the time she turned 14, she had made her first kill, on the driver of that car. It made her sick at first, but, she also enjoyed it. The satisfaction if killing a man of evil was fun for her, and she didn't stop killing since then. However, after killing everyone responsible for the death of her own blood, she decided that she wanted more. As psychotic as she became, she still had a head on her shoulders, and knew right from wrong, knowing that spilling the blood of the good or the innocent will only cause more pain in the world that needed less, having experienced it first hand. From that, she dedicated her life to removing evil from the world the only way she knew how, and began her journey as an assassin when she turned 16. Since then, she has killed a variety of marks. Gang leaders, mafiosos, sicarios, criminals, the like. During her time in between jobs, she went under a strict training regimen, having learned from books and other assassins. The other assassins she worked under didn't last very long, for when she learned that they had murdered innocents, she used the skills they taught her against them. She learned her first magical techiniques from these assassins, and started to perfect them and learn her own as well. At one point, she was hired by a criminal gang to kill an NYPD police chief and his entire family, to which she responded by eliminating every single armed member of the group, and torturing their boss to death. Those who survived encounters with her named her Valkyrie..., after the women of Odin who brought the souls of the dead to Valhalla. But instead, it had its own twisted meaning in New York, for a woman who brought the souls of dead criminals to hell.
Liana couldn't stay in New York forever, and the NYPD was starting to get a little tired of these 'unexplained killings' of the criminals that they were trying to put behind bars. From that, she decided to leave New York and go to Northern Iraq to work as a mercenary. She was quickly contracted by the Iraqi Security Coalition (a coalition of Arab and Kurdish militias in Northern Iraq) in fighting the Al-Saif terrorist group that has been plaguing the area, and Liana was more than happy to work with them. Liana found herself at home pretty quickly, and made many new friends, finding that Arabs and Kurds are much nicer folk to be around than Americans were. Briefly after she first arrived, Liana entered a secret relationship with a woman named Sukaina, who gave her the Tabuk rifle that Liana keeps to this day. While she would've loved to have had an open relationship, violence against homosexuals in Iraq was a little too much a risk for Liana to put Sukaina in. From there, Liana remained there for four years, using her time there to lay low and practice her magic, normally by infiltrating terrorist strongholds and practicing her telekinesis. While she had been good with all kinds of guns in New York, Liana learned how to use the AK and SVD effectively, becoming a very skilled marksman with both having practiced on hundreds of terrorists. Her ability to dispatch evil men with ease and constantly save her comrades from the cold embrace of death earned her the title of "Wonder Woman" amongst her comrades in the ISC, to the point where she was sometimes used in allied propaganda, with magic abilities being stuff of legend. The war quickly shifted in the ISC's favor, and Al-Saif got desperate, targeting civilians rather than ISC personnel. Liana, rather than using the terrorists for fun target practice, decided to eliminate them all before they can hurt anyone again. Casting a spell to read a man's mind to learn of the final fortress, Al-Saif was killed to the last man, with Liana slaughtering almost everyone in the final fortress with only her lover's Tabuk AK rifle.
After the Al-Saif fortress was conquered by ISC personnel, she wanted to celebrate her victory with her lover Sukaina. However, someone very close to Liana in the ISC ran his mouth off to his friends regarding Liana and Sukaina's relationship, and word spread to the unsavory folk in the local area, who didn't take too kindly to the existence of homosexuals under the eyes of God. Sukaina was found in her apartment by a group of eight men, who filmed her getting tossed off the top of said apartment building. Sukaina fell to her death, and Liana saw the video shortly after. For the next month, Liana tracked down and painfully murdered every single man responsible for Sukaina's death, having casted forbidden mind magic on her first two targets before going on a gorey killing spree on the other six. Having felt no peace afterwards, Liana wanted to go to new places for a more emotional reason. She returned to the United States to use her newfound experience to gain some more contract work, going back to her roots as an assassin. She did some odd jobs for the CIA for the next two years, and by the time she was 29, she had been all across America taking out bad guys the CIA no longer wanted to use. Her schedule soon freed up, and she started looking for different jobs, wanting to try something easier and a little more legal this time around. Looking to give security a try, she hoped to score big bucks as a risk management specialist, since she would now how to get into places and get out. Due to her extensive contract background, her credentials with the ISC, as well as her strict code of ethics, she was hired by Montana as a contractor for Marchand High's Security Team. After a rough two days and a contract signed, only time will tell if this is one of the biggest mistakes of her life, or if this becomes one of her biggest life experiences ever.
Other Liana is bisexual, with a preference for women. However, she can and will make exceptions for men, provided that they meet certain criteria with her. She is a woman who sits snug in between the alignments of True Neutral and Chaotic Good. She likes to drive around in a stolen and modified black 1995 Dodge Stealth, because she likes the car, and loves how fitting the name is for her. She normally uses it to commute, but she uses whatever vehicle she can commandeer in emergencies.
