Name and Rank: Lieutenant-Commander Nalaar Jorel
Age: 34
Race/Species: Cardassian-Bajoran hybrid
Description: surprisingly enough, Jorel looks very much Cardassian. Whereas most of the Bajoran War Orphans look very much different. This is most likely due to his Mother being Cardassian, rather than the usual mother being Bajoran. His forehead "spoon" and ridges and neck look very much Cardassian, but he has a few telltale signs that give it away. Chief among these are the blotches of pink skin all over his body, and the wrinkles at the bridge of his nose.
He is approximately 6'3 with a fairly muscular build. He has crew-cut, black hair and a black muttonchop moustache.
Career History: All over Bajor, people talk about the Cardassian Occupation. When they do, they talk about the hundreds, if not thousands of women that were either raped and/or made into comfort girls for the soldiers based at Bajor. Most forget the female officers that took a number of men to be their consorts. Gul Takaar was one such officer. Indeed, this should have been of note. Women were scientists, achedemics, not warriors. They weren't actively discouraged or banned, but not exactly encouraged either. Naturally, she was a woman driven by a love for Cardassia, a true believer in "The Never-Ending Sacrifice" naturnaturally, this meant she had a strong instinct to produce Children. She already had a husband and several children back on Cardassian, but, like the men of her order, she felt the needs that the local Bajorand could scratch.
Nalaar Rebann, a hand from a farm under her jurisdiction, relatively young, strong and oh, so very helpless before the Gul's feminine wilds, quickly found himself a live-in servant to her. Of course, his oppression was just as severe as the others. Whilst pregnant, she only saw him, telling him that should he betray her, she would leave him begging for death. This isn't to say that she didn't have any feelings for him, because that wasn't true. She did, however, stand to lose everything should this come out in public. Jorel was born to a pair of happy parents, she quickly managed to spin this to her favour. The resistance had recently ambushed and killed a number of Cardassian soldiers. She picked one of the young officers from that group, one without a wife or children, and proclaimed Hotel to be his son with a Bajoran woman that had been at her compound, but had killed herself in an attempt on the Gul's life. She took Jorel out to the public and told them that she was here to help the people and to prove it, she would adopt the baby of the woman that had tried to kill her, rather than sending him to an orphanage, for she was no monster, but a friend to Bajor.
