A few hours before the ceremony...
"Before I choose a suitor for King, I'll like to visit the tombs." Morganna told her guard, Randolph, who was now walking out of her room to inform the stable boy to ready a horse for her journey. This day came a lot faster than she had bargained for and now, she was going to choose a potential King for her family's Kingdom. A sigh came over her and escaped over her lips as she waved her handmaidens away then stood up from her vanity, waltzing over towards her window and her eyes situated at the suitors below.
She scoffed to herself after thinking if this was a good idea or not. Morganna just shrugged her shoulders and just decided to go along with the process. When she was finished, it seemed like someone was watching her because a knock had came over her door and it was her guard, Randolph. "Your majesty, the horse and carriage is ready." Randolph, her most trusted guard spoke as Morganna responded. "Thank you, Randolph." She stood up now and grabbed her crown as she placed it onto her head.
Morganna walked to the door and turned the knob, looking up at Randolph as she lead the way and Randolph trailed behind her. She went through the secret passageway, so that way no one would see her before the ceremony and feast. When she got to her carriage, she turned heel to face Randolph and could not help but smile up towards him. "Cover for me." Morganna spoke as Randolph nodded his head and helped Morganna up into her carriage.
The ride over towards the tombs was bumpy and she could hear the gravel crumbling beneath her. The tombs weren't that far from the castle so she really had nothing to worry about but when the carriage stopped, she was frozen. "We're here, your majesty." The rider mentioned as he hopped down from his seated position and opened the carriage door, holding his hand out for her to take. She eventually grasped his hand into hers then walked out of the carriage, eyes scrolled up to the double doors of the tomb.
Inside, she rubbed her hand over her father's and brother's tomb and felt her eyes tearing up. "I will find the people that did this and make them suffer." Morganna muttered as she turned heel and walked out of the tombs now and wiped the tears away from her eyes as the rider helped her back into the carriage now.
At the ceremony...
Her carriage had made it back to the Kingdom and walked into the grand dining hall to a fanfare as her announcer announced her to her suitors. Morganna waltzed with slight elegance and grace, trying to hide her true feelings after visiting the tombs. She made it to her the seat at the end of the table and sat down, motioning her hand for everyone else to sit down after her. Morganna really had no words right now as she wanted to eat before making her announcement.
Morganna motioned for her suitors to go ahead and dig right on in as her plate was tasted before she did the same. Eat first, speech second. She repeatedly said in her mind as she continued eating and looking at the suitors before her mingle with each other. She had someone already picked out and she hoped that he was going to make a fantastic King.
