my name's paige. i'm 22 years old. despite my name, i use he/they pronouns.
i've been roleplaying since i was 10 years old but i took a very long hiatus somewhere in between.
i study film in university with a concentration in cinematography, but i'm also taking as many writing electives as i can.
i do use capitalization and grammar and no textspeak in roleplay, btw. lmao.
as far as roleplaying goes, i am a quality over quantity person any day. i can write anywhere from ten paragraphs to three sentences, depending on the context. dialogue heavy scenes may only require a sentence or two to respond. as long as you give me something to reply to, i am happy. i prefer to think of roleplaying as co-writing, and think of scenes in novels where two characters are speaking. there are rarely pages of description between every line. it should flow naturally; it shouldn't feel forced.
my most preferred genres:
- apocalyptic, post-apoc, dystopian
- scifi, space age/space tech, cyberpunk
however, i'm a sucker for a good plot or an interesting setting. i'm also a sucker for darker themes, grit, horror, etc. you can probably talk me into anything if you're persuasive enough. i like to try new things and i'm all ears if you have a specific idea you want to try out! on that note, i very rarely ever have a plot in mind right off the bat, but i do enjoy brainstorming together! i also looove world-building and i'm always here for it. when it comes to roleplay, i want it to be something we build together and i want it to be something we're both invested in.
on the subject of fandoms: i do not roleplay any canon characters and i won't roleplay with any canon characters. i'm open to working within established universes (e.g. harry potter, fallout) but i'm uncomfortable playing or playing with any canon characters. ocs only. fallout i may be a little more lenient with NPCs since it is such an extensive world, but for the most part i'd like to avoid canon characters. i don't watch anime, but otherwise you're welcome to ask about specific fandoms if you're interested.
also this has been super long-winded and i apologize. i tend to ramble... a lot. and i'm very sorry.
