It was good, thank you! Aside from almost melting ahaha, we went down to Wales for a day or so, so not super far (just one country over really XD) but it was still great!

Awww, now all I can imagine from reading that thought about getting a REAL dog is Yerbol bringing a puppy home one day, and Ari being totally confused about what to do with this fluffy potato with legs that's drooling on her pillow haha XD

A suggestion there on precisely how they could go about finding/tracking Revan once they land, but as always feel free to elaborate/switch it up! Wanted to leave an opening for your Elders to say their peace too before they approach Oddessen (:

There's always a spot on vacation where you don't seem to hit. I remember when I went to Hong Kong, there was SO much that I missed out on due to time. Hopefully you can visit that village again soon :)

Haha! I think the puppy thing kinda bled in from our own experience at the moment. My wife and I are anxiously awaiting news from our breeder about a corgi puppy. I can't wait.

Hey there! Apologies for the delay, but MAN did work kick me around this week. Worked until about 7:30 pm the past two nights and was doing all sorts of stuff the other days. Today is(THANKFULLY) a day to recover, so will be getting you something in the next couple of hours :)

Alright, so I imagine our trip of Odessen going one of two ways:

1. We can skip forward to Odessen and have the time gap be two months(or whatever we decide). We can summarize any events we want to include in the time skip and maybe detail one or two instances we really want to include. This way we can get to Odessen a bit faster.

OR

2. We can have posts where the crew arrives at each set of coordinates and discuss the kind of environment they find themselves in, maybe arriving at a planet or two to observe the differences in this part of wild space versus Zinuthra and Qunesu?

What say you?

Ohhhh, both very tempting options... It might be interesting to mess around with creating a couple more worlds in Wild Space, even if it's just for a post each? Then we can move them on to Oddessen and tracking down Revan? XD

This weekend has been absolutely AWFUL for me and my folks, I've got half a post done rn but I'm absolutely exhausted so I shall endeavour to have it finished for you by tomorrow :)

On to the post, it came out a bit longer than I intended so sorry about that :$ (I just love making up weird planets and creatures that may inhabit them, does it show? XD)
The idea of an all-nocturnal planet is one I've been wanting to play with FOREVER. I'm wondering if perhaps one or both of our planets could make a reappearance at some point, perhaps as future "proving grounds" for the Qyaari, like Quensu was for the Sith, or that place on Hoth (?) in the Clone Wars series was for the Jedi? :D

How have you been keeping? Any news about the puppy? =P

Glad to hear that things are stabilizing! Sorry about you having to get entangled in family drama. I've been there a few times myself and it's NEVER fun. I hope you can recharge not just physically, but mentally as well. Something about trying to dealing with difficult people you're related to(by law sometimes more than by blood) can be so taxing. I remember last year there was some nasty family stuff that I held onto for far too long and it just kinda...ate away at me? Anyway, point is, I played a crap ton of the Witcher 3 to help me destress, so I strongly recommend recreation to recover from ordeals like that.

No recent news as of yet! We know he's coming in December, but that's about it. Trust me, you'll get pictures. Everyone that I KNOW will be getting pictures xD.

Right, to business:
-That is a VERY cool concept in terms of the world you created. I dare say we could get that involved back into the picture a lot sooner. Your idea of a proving ground would be interesting, seeing as it wouldn't make sense for Qunesu to be the only training ground. Maybe they come across ruins of an enclave a la Dantooine?
-How long did it take for our party to reach the night world? Want to make sure I stay consistent with my time skip as well.
-Should I introduce my planet and THEN go to Odessen or do you want me lump both into one post?

Tell me about it, it's not fun at all XD I think I'm okay now, not so sure my mom is and that's what worries me more than anything but we can only do what we can and hopefully she'll realise that soon. I'm certainly going to be spamming some of my video games for my own personal therapy hahaha XD

Post wise, the points you addressed:
-Ooohh, I like the idea of a ruined enclave for sure. Something we will have to explore for sure o: I hadn't thought of that haha
-I think it was a week or so, right? Let's go with that XD I think Neta said it'd take them 3-4 weeks to reach Oddessen with their slipspace-jumping method? So a week between each planet and the last location and then 2 weeks from your world to Oddessen, maybe? (:
-That sounds good to me! I left Oddessen out of mine to give you some wiggle room with your planet you were going to put in, so feel free to transition them over there in your post, whatever seems best to you! :D

Ok, so my writing has just been...blech. I haven't been able to nail down a quality post in what feels like forever. Going to try and get into a rhythm, but can't promise anything juuust yet. Will try to get you something as soon as I can.

Any tips on how to break out of a writing funk? I could sure use them xD

Hey, no worries there! I totally know the feeling, don't feel pressured on my part to get anything done by a certain date.
Take all the time you need! :D

As for ways to get out of that funk, I can suggest a couple things which always work for me in some way or another! (It IS a bit long but I hope it IS helpful in some way haha XD) :
-#1 most definitely is to make a playlist of theme songs for the characters I'm trying to write for, songs which remind me of how they tick, what they're trying to do etc. Or even sometimes just some instrumental background music that would fit how I imagine the scene I'm trying to write, as if the music was playing in the background like in a movie (I know, its probably really silly but it works I swear! XD)

-Sometimes, random generators for stuff like scene settings have been useful for me whenever we've been creating a new area/world that our duo traverse into. I don't ever take what the generator spits out word for word, but usually it gives my creative juices enough of a jolt/kick-start that I can fill in the rest ;)

-Also, diving back into books and/or video games that remind me of the setting of an RP always helps keep me thinking about the characters and how they might react differently to certain points of the game if they were to come across it, or indeed if they were to meet characters FROM that game. I obsessively played KOTOR I start to finish for a while when we first discussed the possibility of them meeting Revan for instance, especially as a male version since I always played my Revan as female whenever I played the game so I was totally unfamiliar with the "Canon" Revan from that respect.
I'm also trying to work my way through KOTOR II again presently, since I'm unable to get my current laptop to cooperate with SWTOR RIGHT when I need it to ¬¬ XD

-Watching YouTube videos of other people's play through of SWTOR is also a good substitute since I can think about what option I/Ari would have picked if it had been her as the PC/whether I agreed with the persons choice and blah blah

-Not expecting yourself to sit down and write the whole thing straight away can also be helpful. Not sure how you normally approach them but since I started this approach I find I get stuck a lot less quickly XD: Just writing about what you've got in your head at that moment, even if it's just a jumble of notes that don't make up a comprehensible post. You can use the notes when you come back to it later to remind you of the ideas you had and then build on/flesh them out into a full post. Sometimes I write the dialogue first as if it were a movie script e.g.
Ari: (confused) speech speech
Cheriss: (unsure/worried) speech speech
And then go back and fill in the descriptors and so forth properly later, and once that bit is done I delete the "script" part. ;) or other times I'll just write out notes or ideas, e.g my notes for the last one were : "planet idea: entirely nocturnal planet, animals, plants etc are bio luminescent and use moonlight instead of sunlight to survive. Possible revisit, e.g. Qyaari "proving ground" for future Knights/Champions etc"
And I just wrote in bit by bit, encorporating the ideas said notes popped into my brain as and when it happened, then connect them all together and edit it into a comprehensible post =P
