With their area of the rafters now collapsing under the combined weight of Xerxes, Ajax, and Odysseus, the archer leaped off to one of the beams that were still intact. After all, his other option was to be skewered by the skeletons and their spears below. Using the blade of his ax, he hooked the edge of it onto the girder and used the momentum to fling himself to the side of the gym that the other masters had mostly cleared of undead soldiers. Odysseus rolled on his shoulder, and in the most fluid of motions, pulled up his bow from behind him.

Alright, that was pretty cool.

Odysseus stoic and neutral expression shifted into a small smirk upon hearing his card holder's praise. With Xerxes hopefully now taken care of after falling onto his skeleton army's raised spears, the archer would decide to test out the new arrival's resistance to arrows just as he had with the Persian king. Releasing the missile, the projectile should have embedded itself between Flamma's eyes unless something stopped it.

This just keeps getting worse. Rebecca thought as she countered a skeleton's attack, diverting the sword away then delivering the blow that broke the skeleton warrior. After the skeleton was slain was when she noticed that the "Immortals" were backing off, the servant Flamma having appeared.

I don't like this at all. A smile like that means he is very confident..

Or he has a plan in mind. Perhaps he is good at counter-attacking?

Guess we will find out.

Rebecca spotted Maggie throwing herself at Flamma, by this point an expected action. However, she Rebecca decided to stand back, allowing Maggie to strike first then striking while Flamma was distracted, but prioritized parrying blows that would come for either her, the newly arrived Tsukiya or Maggie first, letting her Revelation skill guide her against particularly nasty blows.

"You think you're clever!?" Xerxes said as he plummeted, his skeletons breaking their spear formation in order to catch him. How they didn't suspect that his skeletons weren't brain dead was beyond him, but he was clearly irate as he brandished his axe once again. Foolish didn't even begin to describe how he thought of the two Greek Heroes, before her charged at Ajax, since Hal had leapt to the other rafters to shoot at Flamma. His golden axe sparked against the shining shield of Ajax, Xerxes attempted to push him back, skeletons surrounding him. "Even the greatest of your kind isn't worth the dirt beneath my feet! The Athanaton are undefeatable, and I will NOT allow such disrespect to my name! You. Will. FALL!" Xerxes roared with a fury, before the ground quivered, the clatter of various bones ringing loud and clear as roughly 300 skeletons formed a circle and charged at Ajax. Escape seemed impossible, but to defend...a simple task, for the legendary hero.

Flamma barely flinched from the arrows pelting his skin, in spite of the crimson blood that flowed down his back and soaked into the leather of his rather minimal armor. To him, the fight that raged before him was all that mattered. Rebecca would soon find that blows she parried carried an impossible weight behind them, each strike only avoidable and parryable due to her Revelation skill. Flamma was utterly lost in the fight at hand, salivating uncontrollably as he matched Maggie strike for strike, skillfully managing to get a few hits in exchange for the many he received in spite of Rebecca's Revelation parries. Dodging a nearly fatal blow by leaning back, Flamma whipped his upper body forward and slammed his forehead into Maggie's skull, knocking her into the ground with a dull thud.

Smirking, Flamma turned to Rebecca. "You...are not one who loves The Fight." he said, uncharacteristically quiet as he did it, giving her a cold glance. "One who never once enjoyed the bloodbath, who danced about as if it could be avoided." he said, before his smile cracked into a mad grin. "BUT SHE...SHE LIVES FOR IT! EXISTS FOR NOTHING BUT IT! THAT'S ALL THERE IS, AND ALL THERE EVER WILL BE!" he said, before a spear of rock impacted his face, right through his eye. Staggering for a moment, he tried to say something before the earthen javelin lit up, and exploded in a small cloud around his head, which promptly disintegrated. In spite of this, his skin flashed red, and the underlying musculature beneath his stretched skin swelled up a bit, before regressing to its original size. The wooden sword he had held shattered, then came back together again, this time as a deep, rich red.

Rubbing the back of his head, Makoto tensed up as the Card Holder behind him spoke. A chill ran up his spine as he spoke his name, gulping as he realized that his identity was compromised. Zosimos in his mind however spoke up quickly.

"Garrish!? My attire? Why...I never! As if a man parading around in a skirt THAT short has any right to talk! Makoto, tell him his fashion sense is as poor as his attitude!" Zosimos demanded, only to be ignored by Makoto.

"...My best kind of trick, huh?" he said, getting to his feet and pondering for a moment, before snapping his fingers together, and forming the Cheirokmeta once more in his hands, the novice alchemist closed his eyes and mentally recited: "The passage of stone through stone, rock breaking rock; Here material is made manifest, and here, will is made clear. My flesh is your breaker, and my mind your shaper." he recited quickly to himself, before laying a hand on the ground, causing a pillar of concrete and underlying stone to emerge, sharpened to a fine point. "My class may not be lancer, but this'll work," he said confidently, before, without even getting into any sort of stance or making any motions, the spear flew from his hand and into the eye of Flamma as he stood over Maggie. Clenching his hand, Makoto's right eye shone with an otherworldly light. "...'Iitlaq sarah!" he said loudly, the spell on the spear activating and causing it to detonate. Smiling confidently, he watched as Flamma's head exploded from the force. He seemed to have no resistance to magic, so thankfully that was the end of tha-

Hurriedly turning his body into a gray material thicker than steel, Makoto barely kept himself from flying back from the sheer pressure as Flamma regenerated himself, sword shattering to replace the life he had just lost. It was as if a Noble Phantasm had activated, and immediately reversed his death entirely. Was he...just undefeatable!?

Now seeming...entirely unamused, Flamma sighed. "...Cowards. Pacifists. And, fools that talk too big." Flamma said, looking at Xerxes as he said that, looking at the almost completely destroyed clock on the wall. "Five Minutes have passed." he said, walking away with an incredibly bored expression on his face. "Little girl, if you seek to die, then come find me. I will accept your challenge any time." He said to Maggie, simply...walking away, he seemed to care little for damage done to him.

"...What...kind of monster IS he?" Makoto questioned, falling onto his behind and staring in horror as Flamma just walked away, completely unharmed. Glancing back at them, Flamma's eyes seemed far less red with rage, as he regarded Maggie with a sort of pity due to being unable to finish her off.

Tsukiya

"I am tired of all this!" Astolfo exclaimed as yet more skeletons were knocked down. This was becoming a battle of attrition and Tsukiya was on the losing side not only was keeping Astolfo included was starting to drain her both physically and mentally. "Worry not master I have just the solution!" Astolfo cheered taking out his black horn once more "La Black Luna: Magic Flute that calls panic!" A sound echoed that caused the area around her to shake from the sound the roar of phantasmal beasts, the cry of birds of prey and the neighs of large horses. Was heard as the skeletons collapsed from the force of the sound. As the wall of the gym shook from the force as it caused part of the wall to collapse some beams falling down from the force of the horn's bellow.

Outside the school proper

Suits walked in tandem as they heard the sonorous cry birds nesting fleed from the sound and the very ground seemed to shake from the noise. A young female was in the lead wearing black as she leads the others towards the school. "Careful master there is a large number of servants and a few rouge ones as well." Nodding to the words her servant said she walked forward her hand placed on a golden colored card labeled Rider with the name Aife embroidered below. "Aife do you sense what caused this chaos?" The woman asked quietly as she saw the ruins of the gym and ran ahead. "A noble phantasm of sorts I believe master a sound that possibly invokes the cry of phantasmal beasts going by the earlier cry." The servant replied right away though her voice was laced with uncertainty.

Everything. Everything is going wrong. Everything.’ Maggie thought to herself, as she smashed into the gym floor. ‘I wanted to be brave. I wanted his bravery. I wanted it for my own.’ she stared at the ceiling, as her vision desperate sought to resynchronize with reality and the headbash. ‘He was so strong. I could have been that strong. But, everything is going wrong. Everyone got in the way.’ Maggie blinked her eyes, ‘My cheeks are wet. How angry am I? How sad am I? How pathetic am I? Why am I crying?

[Because, my little flower, you have no allies in this garden. All are naught but weeds, hindering your standalone beauty with their ugliness.] Maggie sniffled, as she groaned; crying from how much of a failure everything had become. [He gave you five minutes. You, and you alone. And, yet, all these weeds entangled themselves. He left, because of them. They wasted your glorious change to bloom.] Maggie drew a strangled sob, drown out beneath the rumble of the building and the cacophony of the magical horn.

[They ruined it all. So ruin them, in return.]

For a moment, the Assassin-keeper was posed to congratulate the Makoto on his success, but, the regeneration of Flamma’s head had nullified that impulse. ‘How strong. Frighteningly so. I thought that would be able to handle him.’ thought the skirted teen, as he shifted his posture. Flamma was not heading to them, but he could not be off-guard in case of someone new. However, his guard didn’t need be applied to his awareness, but his fortitude, as the magical horn trumpeted into the world. ‘Hell is that!?

[Some form of magic, if I had to access, McQueen-dono.] answered his Class Card, [Designed for massive crowd control, or perhaps, siege against masonry and woodwork.] Gritting his teeth, the Assassin-keeper held his hand flushed his ears, and braced against the pain. [Something is wrong, McQueen-dono. I can feel a spike in magical pressure, but, it’s not like a Noble Phantasm. Not like the one deployed, but -- Virgil! Get in there, now!] Narrowing his eyes, the Assassin-keeper, Virgil McQueen, dashed beyond Mokoto without a word, and into the collapsing gym.

I hate when you are right, Hanzo-chan.

It was with a scream of anguish and madness that Maggie surged off the floor; her hair glowing, as if made of magma. Madness had overtaken her faculties from tip to toe, as she flung herself at Tsukiya; smashing through the skeletons that were yet to fall apart. “Nnnrrr!!” she growled, throwing her fist against Tsukiya’s cheek, listening to the bone shatter into pieces and bit, before her eyes turned into empty, black space, and she burst apart into a nothing. Tsukiya would fit herself relocated to the bleachers, while Maggie threw herself to the next target of her undying rage.

Blindly, she lashed out with strikes that were increasingly becoming harder to predict, until her fist smashed into Rebecca’s chest; the twisted brick of flesh and bone caving in her rib, and lashing them across her heart. “Raaaah!!!” Maggie roared, as she was treated to the same trick as before; Rebecca poofing into nothingness. Nothing was dying! Everyone that hindered her was not dying! Angrily, she screamed, and threw herself at at Makoto.

She had to destroy him, the most interfering of all.

Virgil formed his left hand into a fist, pressing his curled pointer at the base of his balled right hand, before extending his right pointer and middle fingers skyward. “Noble Phantasm,” he says, “My lonely shadow; Fans out like branches on trees; Through which I reach all.” As he completed his haiku prayer, his shadow whipped up and off him; forming into a copy of Makoto that took his place, as Maggie killed “Rebecca”. ‘This is a tough one. Usually, they only look like me. Fortunately, if I let you do it, then it works out much better.’ he sighed.

He didn’t receive an immediate answer. ‘Are you mad at me, Hattori-san, because I called you Hanzo-chan, by accident? To be fair, you called me Virgil, first.’ His Class Card huffed in annoyance. [You weren’t being aware of the situation.] Virgil scoffed, and rolled his eyes, before looking at Tsukiya, Rebecca, and Makoto. ‘I think, I’m doing alright. Now, if anything, these bozos will trust me.’ he says. ‘But, before that, need to claim down the Beast, and only the Beauty can do that.

Virgil drew Hanzo’s tanto, and ran out the hole; meeting Maggie’s rush back in with a lancing trust.

Maggie froze, as the tip of a sword bit into her throat. It didn’t send her to her ass, but, he brought back memories. Memories brought back anger. Anger called forth retribution. “NNNNRRR!!!” she growled, raising her fist to hammer Virgil into the earth. However, the skirted boy skipped backward, and she smashed the earth, alone. “Catch me, if you can, Beast. Let this Beauty lead you to the roses you seek,” he offered, pressing his tanto against her jugular.

Maggie screamed, and whirled around with an arm extended. Virgil ducked it, and hopped back, as she brought a knee to bare against his crouch. “....rrrrr...” she snarled, before tossing her fist at her sky, and roaring to the sky. “UUURRRR!!! ” Virgil grinned at her, and hopped backward, as she, savagely, charged forwards. He didn’t have a plan beyond keeping her far away from people, but he did had the rein to this wild beast.

All he need to do was find a way to leash her.

Zeus damn you all. What's the point of being an archer if everything seems to be resistant to arrows? As this thought crossed Odysseus' mind, he fired several more arrows toward Flamma, who's reaction to them was more akin to an ox surrounded by flies than a man being struck by dozens of projectiles, each going at speeds that even a bullet couldn't hope to reach. Upon seeing Makoto's exploding spear trick though and the results, or lack there of, it produced, the man decided to switch targets. I was having better luck against the Persian than this monster.

So if we're going back up against Xerxes, what's the new plan?

Well since he's so distracted by Ajax, I was thinking of stabbing him in the back. The archer let out a sigh as he returned his bow to his back. Athena, why couldn't you have sent me here in my Assassin form?

That still doesn't sound like much of a plan.

Fine. Step two is improvise. Step three is to win.

I'm not very confident in this strategy.

Tough luck. You granted me the use of your body, so I'm using it as I see fit.

Watching as the skeletons fell before the piercing sound of Astolfo's horn, Odysseus used the opportunity to finally leave the collapsing rafters and descended to the gym floor, leaping down with two axes raised above his head and bringing them down upon both of Xerxes' shoulders. "It may not be gold or jewelry, but why don't you accept this offering your highness," he told the king as his weapons embedded themselves between the joints. "Yes, I believe my gift looks quiet well on you."

With great effort and full use of the Revelation skill, Rebecca just barely survived against Flamma. What happened next, however, surprised her: he just left after saying harsh words to her, something about being a pacifist. But Rebecca didn't care what a second man, even a gladiator of old, had to say to her. Though shaky, she survived and that was all that mattered for now. After all, she wouldn't want to face an opponent like that again until she was better.

However, she had a bigger problem in the name of a berserk Maggie, who seemed to be getting more and more insane by the second. With the sudden switch between a clone of herself and a spot on the bleachers that solved that issue quickly, Rebecca was disoriented for a few moments but managed to recover. Witnessing the new assassin who showed up and started to get Maggie's attention combined with the sound of a horn that shattered the skeletons into pieces from relative safety, she could reassess what was going on beside her companions. It seemed there was a servant with a shield and Xerxes fighting on the ground.

Looks like at least things got better. And it looks like that guy and Mr. Sutherland wi-

I know what you are thinking and I will stop you right there. We help finish him off.

But I-

The sooner Xerxes is defeated the better off we all will be. Don't overthink it, just do it!

After a good reminder of how impatient and decisive the younger saint can sometimes be in a moment that allowed Odysseus to grant Xerxes a "gift," Rebecca sidestepped until she could see Xerxes' exposed side. With the new friendly servant on one side and Odysseus, or Hal, on the other side, the only option to attack from was the flank, and so Rebecca charged towards Xerxes intending on running him through and delivering a killing blow to the king of Persia.

END OF SIMPLE SCHOOL DAYS ARC: COMPLETE

-Ratatoskr-

“It seems the battle has ended master” Aife said her voice calm as she stopped sensing the battle going on. “Very well go secure the area no one enters or leaves without my permission” the Lone female said as she commanded the others around her. “Yes Mam!” They acknowledged in Unison as they spread out securing the area each one of them was no match for a servant but she was more than willing to bet on them surviving. “Aife let us go you said the main source of the presences was in the gymnasium correct” “Yes master” Without another word the woman walked up to the gym in a brisk march. Looking at the chaos that has occured she couldn’t help but sigh this was going to be a mess to explain.

“Those who stand tall lend me your ears! My name is Maria Hotsuin I am the leader of a group known as Ratatoskr. I come to ask of you to listen to my words. We of Ratatoskr has been tasked with the guarding the secrecy of the Servants and the “class cards”. We are more than just secret keepers we are that which protects humanity! The shield that guards those remain unknowing of the midnight world! We are that which hides in secret to protect those around us! WE ARE RATATOSKR AND WE ARE THE GUARDIANS OF HUMANITY!” She yelled out giving a probably what in her head sounded like a emboldened speech but came off way different. “Master you are going a bit overboard again.” Aife said with a sigh her master often got carried away with her speeches but she meant well most of the time. Ignoring her Servant Maria wrapped up her speech a few nearby soldiers politely clapping as she wrapped things up. “In the end we ask of you that you follow us so we can explain things in full if you don’t mind. I promise to explain everything to you.”

Outside a couple of Ratatoskr soldiers wasn’t having a good time in fact they were having a very bad time at it. One spotting the fight called in for backup which two more complied to and gathered up. “May I ask you that you lay down your weapon… please.” He added at the end his voice full of fear he was not paid enough to deal with this crap yet here he was dealing with it. “I am a member of a organization known as Ratatoskr and if you would please stop your fighting and follow us.” Another replied this one a bit more brave as he walked up to the combatants his arms spread to prevent the fighting. Though the third one stood there his uniform dirty and put on in a rush but he had his hands out as his gloves sparked with a bit of electricity ready to punch someone though it would probably lead to his death.

... What the fuck is happening?

The gym was in complete chaos. New servants were appearing and servants that had been in the fight for hours were suddenly leaving. Hal had never seen anything like it before in his life. It was like watching a train crash and being unable to look away from the explosions and metal bending in on itself. Hal waited for Odysseus' answer, hoping that this veteran of the Trojan War would be able to explain what the two of them were currently witnessing.

... I don't have a clue either.

Well that helped. What do you think we should do?

Well I doubt we could take on all of these on our own. I'm no Rider class after all. I say we go along with them. At the very least, if they do mean us harm, gaining their trust will allow me to more easily use my Doúreios íppos on them without them noticing, increasing our chances to escape.

Alright. Until I'm sure we're out of danger than, you can remain in control. Don't get too used to it however.

"I'll follow you, newcomers. Though I hope you don't expect me to disarm myself. I appreciate the support, but I apologize for remaining cautious until I get to know you more, Odysseus said with Hal's body, collecting his axes that had fallen off of Xerxes when the Persian King had melted to goop.

.... What?

After all of the crazy events that happened in such a short time-span, that was all that Rebecca could think as they finally defeated Xerxes. Stepping back to let Makoto do his work and nodding, Rebecca's silence slowly turned into the girl feeling very exhausted from the events. It was finally over aside from the cat fight that was happening between Virgil and Maggie, to which Rebecca still couldn't put any logic to.

After listening to the woman, who introduced herself as a part of the organization Ratatoskr, Rebecca was officially even more confused. What made it even worse is that the woman went slightly overboard.

So uh, is this how you gave your speeches?

...No, not necessarily.

...Interesting.

Somehow I feel like you are doubting me... Rebecca couldn't help but be amused by the saint's response.

A-Anyway, I suggest going along with this for now. We have little information of what is exactly going on here. However, stay on guard until we know what their true intentions are.

R-Right.I really hope they really mean to help. I'm exhausted! Rebecca took a deep breath, keeping herself installed for now since she didn't know who any of these people were. "Alright, I'll come." Rebecca said with an exhausted breath as she cleaned her sword and put it in its sheath, walking to follow this Maria.

Makoto listened to this Maria lady for a few minutes, before suspiciously narrowing his eyes at her. 'She's nuts.' he thought to himself, holding his face in his palm. She had all the speech giving abilities of the 3rd place runner in an election, and a whole lot of delusions about...saving the world? Putting his hands at his side, Makoto's installed Caster class card re-materialized in his right hand, and his appearance reverted back to normal. Running a hand through his hair to make it a little more presentable, he beamed at Maria. "Mhm, sounds good to me. Servant Class: Caster. I'm Makoto. Let's all try to get along with this world saving business, or whatever."

'This seems like a good chance to get cozy with some mages. You said they wouldn't like me practicing alchemy, right?'

'Yes...it seems that, despite being an institute founded on education and knowledge, they keep their practices, and existence secret. You would most certainly not be welcomed warmly. They bear a strong aversion for the Caster class as well, due to their enhanced magical abilities.'

'Alright...so, no doing alchemical party tricks in front of scary looking wizard men. Got it. ...Zosimos, if you and me fought a mage...'

Before he could finish his question, Zosimos flatly said: 'Fifty-Fifty. Depends entirely on their specialization. Despite being a caster class, I only have resistance to electrical mana. A death curse, or a sufficiently strong curse of any kind would destroy us both.'

Scratching his head, Makoto figured his plan was still decent enough. Even if it was relatively short-sighted, it wouldn't do him any good to make an enemy of someone with the resources to hire goons, and run cleanup. Glancing outside, Makoto silently crushed the card in his hand. "Include." he said, as an incredibly thick leather-bound book materialized itself into the hand leaving his pocket. "Juuuust a second." he said, slowly approaching Maggie and Virgil, as well as the personnel outside. His posture was relaxed as he flipped through the book, the contents looking like utter gibberish to anybody not well versed in Egyptian...consequently, that made it all gibberish to Makoto as well. Approaching the three Ratatoskr men who were outside, he waved at them passively. "Yo." he said, before standing between them, Virgil, and Maggie. "Let's see here...Oh, this'll work." he said, before crouching down. His eyes were trained on Maggie and Virgil, and his breathing slowed.

'Visualize the immaterial. Breath in. Breath out. Empty yourself, then fill with the other. ...Okay. Magic Circuits, on.' he said in his mind, as the image of wave splashing against a rock surfaced in his mind. The Magic Circuits within his body, having been activated from his contact with Zosimos, sprang to life. Though low in quality and quantity, he made up for it by having the mind of a master guiding him through every step of the process, every minute detail flawlessly perfected as he drew a circle in chalk before him. 'Material Composition: Primary Carbon...' a gargantuan list of materials swam through his mind, as dust from the ground gathered towards him, even rolling itself out from the bottom of the shoes of Ratatoskr's agents. Atoms reshaped themselves, bonded, divided, changed state entirely, until materials interwove to create...

...A...plush replica...of Xerxes?

Picking up his six foot tall plush, Makoto unceremoniously chucked it right over Maggie, the plush suddenly booming the pompous Persian king's laughter. "AHAHAHAHA!" it boomed out from a small voicebox within. Wiping a bit of sweat from his brow, Makoto waited to see if that'd work, erasing the circle he'd drawn with his shoe. He just hoped that Berserker was really, really easily distracted. At least, to buy that Assassin card holder enough time to escape.

Maggie and Virgil were absorbed in their catfight, as Makoto fashioned his Xerxes Plushie. Internally, each was struggling to maintain their overall control of their anger; being reduced to such crude combat, lacking elegance and flair, infuriated Virgil to the core, while being unable to simply end this melee in one strike and destroy her opponents was driving Maggie up the wall. However, as soon as the Xerxes Plushie gave his justifiably confident laugh, their anger snapped in a completely different direction.

His direction.

As intended, Maggie surged off her knees, and onto her feet; her hair glowing with a blinding intensity, as she gripped her jawbone club. Roaring, she kicked off the ground, and lunged at the Xerxes Plushie. However, as NOT intended, Virgil released a sharp snarl, and disappeared into the shadow. “My lonely shadow; Fans out like branches on trees; Through which I reach all...” his voice carried on the wind, before nine figured ripped out of the ethereal.

The Xerxes Plushie was wrecked all to hell, as its head was ripped off by a brutal swing, and its body was impaled by nine spears.

It took a minute, a full minute, to realized the Plushie was just that, a damn plushie that wasn’t a real being that was violently dead and/or brutally dying. Standing, Maggie tightened her hold on her club, and turned on her heel... however, time had finally taken its toll, and her hair stopped glowing, like a fire dying out. Forward, she pitched, as her form started to glow, before her Install Spiritrons came unwound, and reformed into her Class Card. “I’m not... falling...” she groaned, struggling to stand, before settling, “...sleepy...

I win...” Virgil grinned, as his form flattened out, Install coming undone, “Nn... me again...” Virgil grit his teeth, physical exhaustion rapidly catching up with the near absolute exhaustion of his mana. “Never been pressed that hard,” he inhaled, exhaled, and then got to his feet. “Include, Assassin...” Virgil huffed, lifting his Class Card, and crushing it; he’d enough mana remaining to wrap his arms in Hanzo’s arm-wear, forge her tanto, and handful of tools. “Now, what is going on here?

And, put that away, before I castrate you,” he says, looking at the Ratatoskr Soldier with the shock-gloves.

Arrival of Ratatoskr

Ratatoskr Soldiers

Seeing the situation was taken care of the lead one placed a hand on the shoulder of the one with the gloves giving a stern look that conveyed all of his intentions. It was clear now was not the time for it nor was it ever the time for violence they should protecting humanity not attacking those who don't comply like street thugs. With a pout on his face the one soldier put away the gloves but understood now was not the time not against these people who were above his abilities. One speaking up decided to state his purpose before things got out of hand further. "Look we mean no harm I am sorry for the actions of my comrades but we seek peace our leader would like to speak with all the card holders if you would please follow us it would be appreciated. However, if you don't wish to then you can go we are not able to hold you so the choice is completely up to you." He said his voice calm a bit shaky but a firm belief in avoiding conflict and wanting a peaceful solution clear.
@Enkryption

Ratatoskr Leader?

"I thank you for listening to me and once more thank you for obliging my requests all we want to do is ask questions and perhaps explain ourselves a bit more" Maria said with her best calming voice or so she hoped she wished them no harm, in fact, she didn't want to do anything to them then explain things and hopefully gain their help in their goal."If you please follow us then we got transportation waiting to take you and me to the headquarters if you will?" She asked once more it was the truth and the group spared no dime in making sure each was comfortable as a large limo was taken to carry everyone which carried all the comforts one could want from drinks and snacks and airconditioner.

Confused Valkyrie

"The messenger squirrel?" Brynhildr said which Tsukiya mimicked having picked up on the naming of the odd group. It was either a bold claim or one done in jest was Brynhildr's opinion one which Tsukiya almost shared the same opinion with but she was more confused than anything. Trouble was also a common and more frequent worry as Brynhildr warned her of the mud like substance was buried but Brynhildr saw it as a threat still but did relinquish control in the end. "What exactly was a dead warlord doing attacking us and the school" Tsukiya muttered a bit miffed that she had yet to gain any answers on anything. She wanted answers but knew that somethings you just had to wait for that was how journalism worked at times after all.

Enkryption & The Irish Tree Collaboration

Virgil snorted, as the de facto leader of the group before him spoke. “And, what,” he asks, as he sheathed his tanto into his right forearm sheath, “we're just supposed to fall in line; be good, little soldiers?” Virgil's eyes hardened, as hatred swelled around him; corrupting his effeminately beauty with explicit masculinity. “How dare you.” A statement, not a question. “How dare you even think.” A rhetorical repeat, not a question, either. “Do you honestly believe you can command an Empress,” Virgil asks, “as lowly among the gallows as you are?” Virgil clasped his hands, and gave them firm shake; unclasping them to reveal a quintet of three-inch tall bottles and a large egg-sized silver ball. “Potassium nitrate. Soluble carbohydrates. Sodium bicarbonate. Sulfur. Charcoal. Aluminum foil,” Virgil looked at Makoto, “Tell me, Caster-keeper, what could be made of these?

“A smoke bomb.” Makoto said plainly, looking at Virgil with a wry look in his eye. “So...why NOT help them out anyways? You really have anything better to do with super powers?” he asked, his fingers netted behind his head, palms pressed against the back of his head. It wasn’t any of his concern whether the assassin-card-holder joined up with them, but he figured he might as well see whether he’d be more likely to become an enemy or an ally later down the line. After all...he had to assume Ratatoskr wouldn’t be happy about a card holder being allowed to run free.

Virgil smirked, as the bottles and the foil fell into a swirl of Mana in his palms, and in a burst of light became a handful of alchemized pellets in a jar of glass. “Do I? Do you? Does anyone? As smart of your Servant must be, it’s burdened by your utter lack of empirical oversight,” he says, bouncing the jar. “Do you think anyone would simply bow to the request of a stranger? Are we dogs? Do we roll when order, present our bellies to foreign sword, and close our eyes in ignorance?” Virgil hefted the jar into the air, “I am no dog. I am a wolf. An Alpha.

Makoto just put his hands in his pockets and walked away. ...This guy was a douche. No doubt about it. Still, maybe he’d have to work with him sometime. He seemed more independant rather than hostile...and running alone ran you head first into problems. He hadn’t expected him to be an alchemist...and boy, did Zosimos have trash to talk about his technique and word choice, but Makoto just strolled away, tapping the Zappy Gloves Ratatoskr agent on the shoulder. ”Don’t bother. Let’s just get going, ‘kay?” he said, seeming not all that bummed out about Virgil not wanting to join. In fact...thinking about it, he just might try and work with him after this Ratatoskr business blows over. Not like he had a formal contract drawn up or anything. Just some people asking him to help save the world...because, reasons, he supposed.

Virgil squatted, as the jar crashed into the ground; a massive cloud of smoke billowing into the air. He inhaled, and drew whatever power he’d left to spare. “Install, Assassin,” he said. “A shadow swoops low... Shifts silently among the reeds... A crane strikes unseen...” he envisioned the battlefield, stretching to the horizon itself, and slung his spear into the air. Overcast, the sky became, before the ethereal weapons rained down, and the smoke spread thin.

Neither Assassin nor Berserker remaining.

Makoto watched the spear fly away, but lost track of it amidst all the others that followed. Walking back to the gym, he figured it was about time to go anyways. Strolling off, he seemed like he couldn’t care less about the two that had just up and left. He didn't make enemies with them, at least. So, future options existed in case Ratatoskr didn’t work out. Putting his eager smile on once again, Makoto went back into the gym through the hole Flamma made slamming him into the wall, and waved at Maria. “The Assassin and Berserker holders left, Ms. Hotsuin!” he said. Now...to negotiate pay. And maybe even a workshop space.
