Physical description :Mastema is a Demon-Angel hybrid, so his body appears as so. His skin is very pale and hair is a silver-ish white (.5 on the RCW color wheel). Often times it is long but not long enough to cover his eyes. His eyes, are that match well with his chalky skin and silver-white hair. He has black markings right under both of his eyes as well, he, himself, doesn’t know where they come from. His clothing is very neat, fancy and most importantly, reflecting his intelligence. His chest is covered by a darker teal shirt with black lining (Darker teal: 25.5 on the RCW color wheel). His legs and groin are covered by a nice pair of dress pants that are matching his shirt with a pure black color. His small horns are in a 90 degree angle, protruding from the side of his head. These are sharp as knives and as black as the midnight sky. He has a pair of black wings that can be retracted from his back; these wings are black as the night sky and often aren’t used for anything but gliding

Personality: Mastema is a person who respects a wise person; but doesn’t completely hate the ignorant. Mastema would rather teach someone through discipline but also teach them through pleasure of how the world works. Does this mean fighting them? Sometimes yes, but sometimes no. He loves to play games with people, often times these games can be deadly but he doesn’t really care because of a few reasons. First is that life is life and it isn’t hard to imagine someone dying because that’s the way it is. You can see that Mastema is a strong believer in the natural order of things and it is 100% natural for things to die because their skills aren’t good enough. While he does love to teach people he can have moments of both masochism and sadism. This is shown through when he gets really mad and uses his Cryomancy against you in many different. You never thought that ice could be as deadly as it is when Mastema uses it.
Family: Mastema has had three families, his own and his other families. Mastema’s parents did try to kill him via abandonment. This doesn’t affect him much so he doesn’t really know them. When he was twenty, he had a wife who was pregnant, die in a fire before he could save them, they died in front of him. Their names were Kaia and Viana. Mastema then had another wife and a child- the child actually being alive. The Wife, Elaine, died in childbirth whilst the child was killed by what was left of Mastema’s father. His father was killed by Mastema without any mercy.

Echo Usage: it’s not really an attack but whilst he is in an area, it will drop to a very cold temperature. Sometimes it can drop to -56 degrees if it is a medium temperature but most of the times it will only drop it to the higher 40’s
Weaponry:
God's Papyrus: This, is something that may be very powerful. Emphasis on the may be. It all depends on how you use this seemingly fragile weapon. This weapon is a form of Paper! Of course the Paper is Papyrus which was first made with the egyptians but is still used today, in present time, as paper with some form of metal lining through it. This is what God’s Papyrus is, but it has some effects that make it incredibly deadly and powerful. The God’s Papyrus is almost indestructible, even if the amount he started with is destroyed, he can sacrifice his five percent of one stat to create that amount of Papyrus. The Papyrus is mostly hidden in his sleeve, like bandages, white with a tint (hue + different shades of grey). This Papyrus can absorb water and freeze it to make it harder. The main purpose of this weapon is to trap people, or defend the person. It is not made for offense but it can be used in offense in the terms of traps. The main trap that this can create is called the paper trap. Mastema will create ice pillars of which the papyrus will wrap itself around and send the other end to another spot. While it does this, pieces of the papyrus will split off and create an entire field of Papyrus that, with a single touch, will attempt to completely wrap them up, excluding the face. It can also be layered to form an ultra-thick shield that lasts a total of one turn before being destroyed. To add onto it, it can be used as a bandage or to avoid attacks by gas. If it is grabbed by an enemy it can inject a small cone of ice into them that will create a DOT effect, 25% of their health will go down for every two turns. This is only if they GRAB it, not if they touch it. It can also detach itself and try to wrap itself around an opponent to completely stop them.

The Twin Blades of Grief: The Twin Blades of Grief were made by a friend of Mastema’s after Kaia and their son died. The friend spent 2 years crafting the delicate blades to show the cruel story of Mastema’s loss. The blades have always had a special connection with Mastema- they had been enchanted by the souls that they were based off of. ( The friend was not a Necromancy or a soulmancer, he was a shaman, well versed with the land of spirits as well bladesmithing.) The spirits granted the blades something that a Cryomancer like Mastema does not have on his own...Water. The blades weep fresh water from a well designed face’s eyes. For now the blades barely produce water, only ¾ a cup each turn that they are used. These blades are made from an alloy of steel and iron of which allows the metal to breath easily and allow water to seep through without damage. The blades are able to increase their length and strength by freezing condensed ice. But instead of being as sharp as steel, the condensed ice will be the same sharpness and durability of steel.

Activated Abilities:
Living Masterpiece: Mastema can make several adaptable replica of himself with ice. They don’t look like ice though (as in- ice sculpture), they look like perfect clones- even in color- with Mastema himself. Although they look like Mastema they are about four times as durable as the skin on Mastema himself. These clones, that at most can be up to 5 of themselves and be recreated each turn, can change size, strength and also density depending on what or who they’re fighting. They also can observe and learn physical abilities and attack while fighting someone. For example: if a person is talented in using swords then one of the clones will take sufficient damage to them while any other clone that is created will know the fighting pattern of the person and use that same fighting pattern against them. If there is a specific physical ability that they use against the clones, the clones will go through trial and error until they have been programmed to know how to fluently use that ability. If a magical ability isn’t strictly based on an element then the clones can adapt and use that ability as well. The adaptability of these clones does stack on all clones summoned in a fight. It is also worthy to note that each one of his clones can perform his abilities plus what I previously stated.

Any of Mastema’s clones, from Allan’s fight have access to the perfect data to create replicas of .300 Winchester Magnum cartridge that has an effective range of up to 800 meters that had the velocity of 480 m/s. This is not all because the clones do not need the gun type to be able to fire these bullets- due to this lack of knowledge they have no reason not to fire them at the rate that a mini-gun can shoot its bullets AT the same speed that the original gun can

Any of Mastema’s clones has the ability to summon screws out of the ground made from a mixture of dirt and ice to have the density of steel while coming up. They can be broken off from the ground a shot at a person just like the last uploaded ability, same speed and same yardage. It is also worthy to note that these screws can be summoned at any sized in a large area. They can be combined with the Frozen Trap Rune ability to act as a trap or just be created under a person to try and stab their feet to lock them in place. It is worthy to mention that these screws can be as long as five foot while at minimum width having a radius of 4 inches and at max being the radius of 6 inches. While they burst up from the ground they have to be in eyesight, this doesn't include when they are placed as traps. But when they are fired at somebody they can go around 450 meters at the speed of an average screw. The largest screws can only move at 44.7 m/s although they aren't used for large ranges most of the time. This will also put a Slowing effect (if hit) on the person if they get hit as well as having a DOT that slowly does damage from the inside out. Mastema can use this ability but it is more effective when him and his clones do it.

Remorseless Winter: Mastema will create large blades of ice above him that he will slowly start to spin and as soon as it reaches high speeds, around 450 RPM, they will start to slowly shred from poles of ice to particles of ice. This ice will be taken by the air that is affected by the spinning poles and create an almost blizzard-ask field around his area, which is from 4-8 feet. This ability will act defensively as it can force ranged physical attacks and some physical magics to be pushed/thrown away from himself and back at the person trying to hurt him. It also prevents people from getting too close to him because of one thing: the ice particles. The ice particles that make the air so cold are not soft as pillows! They are as sharp as a steel blade so anyone who tries to walk in without any substantial armor will be cut with the sharp ice particles. Remorseful Winter also has an offensive mode as the blades do not have to be directly above him. He can create them to be directed at someone. The blades will spin which will cause the wind to blow directly at someone with the sharp ice particles going directly at their person. He can create multiple of these blades to spin faster to make the wind faster too. The wind can drop into hyperthermic temperatures in a single turn and after 2 turns, if the opponent is hit by an ice particle , they will experience 2 things. An effect that will slow down their blood pressure and also slow there movement speed and attack speed, the other effect will continually damage them from the inside out. The first effect will last 3 turns per hit and the second one will last 2 turns per hit.

Frozen Trap Rune: This ability will create at the most, 5 runes that have a diameter of 4 foot, all around Mastema. These runes can range from being 20 foot away or just being 3 foot away. While it is made to entrap anyone within 5 foot of the rune with icy chains stronger than steel. It will not trap Mastema, his allies and his clones but actually give them a boost in their speed, (from the average human running speed x3), giving them a healing factor and also giving them all of his passive abilities. But while that goes for all of his allies/clones he can use them as if they were transporters. If he attacks one of the runes, the attack will be sent through the rest of the runes so they have a greater chance of hitting the opponent.

Fingers of Frost: This ability will allow him to make perfect gloves of ice around his hands. These gloves are stronger than most metals, one of them being steel. The glove, after initially forming, can be changed and adapted for each enemy they use in a matter of seconds . This means if he needs a slashing type weapon he can transform the glove into say, a glove with several razor sharp claws and such. These can only be active for 3 turns before they start to damage his skin and muscles. These gloves can also be detached from his hand and be used as an independent set of hands that float around his body. While they float beside him they are not bound by turns and can change (grow/shrink) in size. It all depends on how Mastema wishes them to be. But while the hands float around they do not need to be hands because they aren’t bound to him. They can become many things from swords, guns and even a few cannons that launch the Frozen Foley bombs at the opponent.

Frozen Foley: Mastema will create a small puzzle of ice in his hand and play with it for on turn. After the single turn is complete, the puzzle will be armed in a small sphere with many moving plates on it. When it reaches this stage he can throw it towards the enemy, causing it to explode. The explosion will cover the an area of 800 square meters in snow, ice and frost. This will increase the strength of all of his attacks by twice the normal amount, increase all abilities that take more than one turn by adding one turn onto how long they can last. With this, the speed of which abilities are used will be cut in half. This is a pure environmental boost so it cannot stack but if he is in an area that is colder his stats will be increased as well. Although it cannot stack, if it directly hits someone it will attempt to stab a needle-like ice shard into them that will slow their attacks and movement speed down by 25%. This shard will also act as a drill and work its way into the nerves of areas that help them move (legs arms, muscles etc) but not be deadly. The main purpose this affect is to either slow down or completely stop a person by pressing on a nerve or making a muscle lock up.

Machine of Frost: In order for this ability to even work there must be a number of his past abilities active: Frozen Foley, Frozen Trap Rune, Remorseless Winter and Living Masterpiece. If these are not activated at the same time this ability cannot happen or even the chance of happening. Two of the trap runes will form parallel from each other and Mastema will force a pillar of ice through one of the,- which will send a pillar of ice through all of the runes. This means the one that was parallel to it will force a pillar of ice up out of it, making both the original and the copied pillar touch each other. The rest of the runes will disappear, including the ones under the pillars but that won’t affect them. Another rune, a separate rune, will form atop the two pillars, dropping a chain from Frozen Trap Rune onto the pillars and tying itself around the meeting point. After this, two of the large blades will form above it and start to spin (taking 1 turn to speed up), creating a dome of wind and ice particles around the Machine of Frost. Once this has taken place ice will build up around the chain until it forms a human-sized, engine-like machine that that will transfer all of the energy that he used in the fight, that is doubled, will reenter Mastema. While the machine is being built, clones will be generated around it automatically to defend it to the best of their possibility. The machine is about as strong as refined iron while it is forming, this does not include the difficulty it will be to actually get to it. All stat boosts and environmental changes that were directly created by Mastema will be withdrawn back into the machine. This means all stat boosts previously added onto him will be removed but can be enabled again through using the abilities afterword This is then directly returned to Mastema and doubled and If the energy is given back to Mastema and doubled successfully, the entire formation of the Machine of frost will combust into a large explosion of ice shards. Mastema will stand in the middle of this, holding a large, one handed runeblade with the hilt-blade area (where they meet) being a skull with horns very similar to his own. The sword’s double blade is made up of steel and then a frosted steel alloy at the top- being made to withstand high temperatures. He is unsure why he made this because it is the same strength as the entire blade and the entire blade is made from this allow but the tip of it is almost always an icy blue color. His fancy dress clothing will also have changed from mere cloth toa mixed iron-steel plate armor that is a dark blue, matching his dark, blue dull eyes. This is made from the same alloy of the blade but doesn’t glow in an icy blue. It didn’t just give him armor and a sword but gave him three new accessible ability and three new passive traits. The Machine of Frost ability will last until the fight ends

Frost Strike: This ability, only accessible when the Machine of Frost ability is in effect, is a very strong ability. Mastema will raise his runeblade into the sky, granting the coordinates to where the strike will hit by then pointing it at the opponent. Soon a large beam of ice particles would shoot from the sky at the designated area. The beam has a diameter of 4-6 meters at the largest. Once the beam hits, the ice particles will shoot out in all directions and will have the same slowing and DOT effect as all of the ice particles have on the person they are hit by.

Wraith Walk: This ability is strictly an ability that will work after the ability Frozen Foley because it makes him completely become one with either ice or snow. Almost becoming a spirit of the cold. He becomes extremely fast and also extremely stealthy while this ability is in use. You can see him moving in the snow quickly and this gives you the opportunity to attack him, which will make him come out of the ice or snow but it can also be a clone. It can only be used while the Machine of Frost is in use.

Ice Nova: Mastema, while having the Machine of Frost ability active, can stab his runeblade into the ground (If it cannot be stabbed into the ground it can also if he just hits the ground with the runeblade). There will be a large rune (diameter 8’2) to appear on the ground and quickly a large, thick shell of ice and snow will build up around Mastema. This can act defensively but offensively when he lifts the blade from inside the ground, or just hits the ground again, it’ll light up and combust in an icy shrapnel explosion. It can also be used to entrap an opponent by entrapment them inside of the shell and making it implode instead of explode. The maximum range of the explosion is 75 yards.

Icy soul: Mastema isn’t one to believe in religion or anything really based on faith. That is, if you exclude the faith he has for his students. But Mastema has Created a way to posses his body’s energy. All of his energy will be collected in a particle of ice. The ice will be able to manipulated like most ice under Mastema’s control. The ice can be created in forms of giant golems to flying birds! The uses of Icy soul Is practically endless. Although it does have several weaknesses that make it extremely risky to use in any form of fight. If the ice is completely destroyed and is directly turned into a gas then Mastema will return to his normal body with his own health cut in half and a quarter of his strength will be gone, only to be recovered after 2 turns.

Waxing ice: Candles are mostly known for being hot, lit by a singular flame that slowly melts the wax that puts off a smell, usually refreshing, while the wic burns through it. Well this may be a surprise but this ability has nothing to do with fire. Mastema can cover any piece of ice in, at the most 5 inches of wax. This wax can be controlled to do various things. He can create Wax clones and waxlings that have a resistance to blunt force attacks but are weak to fire. If, in so fact that any of this wax manages to melt then the area will become filled with a toxic gas that Mastema himself is immune to. The gas is a purple like color and can be controlled by mastema to follow somebody or even surround them. The liquid that is left behind will coat mastema’s weapons, If it is coated over his swords, they can create giant ice bombs and if it is over the Papyrus it’ll become resistant to heat and also water. This wax, when actually formed into a candle, will be placed on Mastema’s body and attached to him. While this candle is on him, every turn that passes he will become stronger Magically, most limits will be doubled which can mean some terrible trouble if your caught in the crosshairs. If this candle is managed to be placed atop of Mastema’s horns or head it will do nothing except when it is knocked off, which the doubling effects of it will last for 3 turns after the candle has been knocked off of Mastema’s head. In this he will try to get it knocked off of his head. The wax can also be coated around his body to give him a one time piece of armor. It blocks an attack completely but gets rid of the layer of wax. This part of the wax can only be used once every odd-numbered fight.

Frozen Deflectors: Whilst Mastema is a demon and used to be human his body is still partially angelic. This is the few things that Mastema has that can be considered holy. Although it is holy it is bound to the restraints of being made out of ice. Whilst using this ability, photons will react normally whilst the formation is being made out of ice. This formation has to be a circle that has an almost runic design on the front. These tunes will begin to Draw photons to the center of it and once they hit the glass-like center of it, they will be reflected across many surfaces and be able to collect them over 1 turn, after one turn is over these photons are released and shot out of the ice reflector. This is not all it could do though, once the light is released into a yellow and/or white the light can be manipulated further with ice. If he wishes to he could use it offensively or defensively. When it is used offensively, Mastema can create multiple of the reflectors and have the light be directed to them, each time it goes through one of these reflectors, the size and strength of it is increase by 1.5 times their original size and strength. (When the light by one, would hit a person with the diameter of the sillender being at 6 inches, would start two effects: Radiation burning and the starting of frostbite. While the strength increases, it merely increases in potency.) But the light may only move through one other active reflector and travel through any more to go through and change direction. The size of the reflectors can vary in size from a meter to 6 inches. The larger it is, the more ability it has to reflect. A maximum size Frozen light can shoot 3, small (radius being 2 inches each) to only be reflected back to three others around him to create an offensive but defensive barrier of light. But instead of actually being a barrier, it is a series of 3’s turning into 3’s and such, with another one of the reflectors he could turn all of the light it one or multiple beams of offensive light, it is also possible, if the opponent is still enough, for Mastema to trap them in the beams of fast moving light beams, anything that goes through it will suffer from both extreme radiation burning and also frostbite. While this is active, the light can be easily transported from any piece of ice that mastema has. This can be used for mostly offensive tactics but if the light is put into anything except a deflector, it will have one turn to be used before the light randomly shoots out of the ice. (Half to the opponent, half to Mastema)

The Teacher: This ability can only work in a non combat sense- that or in a spar that is meant to train a person who is severely loosing. Mastema is a natural born teacher, he loves teaching people strategy and attack methods and when he sees it he will try and help fix it. With a simple touch of any force Mastema can know the ability that the student or pupil is trying to do. This helps him understand how they are meant to work and how he can use it properly and point out the problems in their way of using it. Unlike the side ability that the living masterpiece ability has- this cannot be used in fighting- only in teaching (this goes over into friendly sparing where he can easily stop and show them how to do it properly). If he tries to use this ability on anyone who is not his student, pupil, or anything in between- he will suffer from a heavy burning pain all over his body. This can only copy the latest ability that is used against him though.

Grasping Hands Mastema will stomp his feet on the ground and inject up to four drills into the ground below him. These will drill themselves under the opponent and one of them will explode into several pieces and go upward and then down in the shape of giant hands made out of ice to attempt to crush or grab the person that they targeted. These can go one at a time or go all out at once, that simply depends on the situation though.

Icy Mask: A mask of ice will appear in front of Mastema, the mask will have no identifying features as it’ll grow quickly, enough to cover him and act like a shield, absorbing the damage that would hit Mastema. It can withstand a physical attack up to the force of a wrecking ball but it is weak to magical attacks- only having one use before breaking to magical attacks. If the Icy Mask ability is combined with Frozen Foley the mask will wrap around the puzzle and when it explodes it will create four masks that will surround Mastema and take a single physical blow but will use two of the four masks to defend against magical attacks. These masks, when combines with Frozen Folley of course, can create four masks for every ally the Mastemaa has in combat.

Frostfire Insanity: Mastema has a lover and the lover isn’t exactly the most sane person on Gaia, but he still loves her! The brains of Mastema and the madness of her has had an effect on him! He will take his two daggers and slash them into an X pattern with extreme speed. The water that is created from the dagger will be frozen and attached to Mastema! Instead of melting like most of the ice attacks do, the ice gets colder and becomes red on the inside! This is a frostfire stringer and it can be used in several ways. Mastema could keep on creating the frost fire stringers to be used as a trap at his command, to be used to grab an opponent, burning them with it while Mastema uses the stringer to throw them or pull them to him. It can also be created into a bolt which can be channeled into a spell-casting attack towards his opponent. They can fire at the maximum range of 219 meters with 120 m/s.

Soul Illusion: A brand new ability learned the second when Elaine’s genetic coding merged with his own! This ability will only work with Mastema and at least one of his clones present.The illusion will copy him and the clone and make as many as fifty pf these illusions at ones. The illusions can replicate any ability that Mastema knows and after seeing the abilities that others can use, they can replicate that. Please note that the illusion’s replications of any attack has no effect on people but the illusions have an affect on the area around them- in illusions of course.

Passive Abilities:
Ice walking: This passive allows him to walk on any surface weather it be water, a wall or even the roof!

Flight: He is a demon angel hybrid, how is he not going to have wings? Mastema has black wings on his back that can be stretched out to ~12 foot long wingspan. Although that is long, it is rather short compared to most angels. They are very compact though and can easily fit inside his shirt and half of the time not noticeable to normal people. He can fly at the minimum speed of 240 Mph and 300 mph maximum

Resistance to the cold: He has high resistance to the cold as well as having a high resistance to cryomancy as well.

Heat resistance + Hardness: Due to the scales that have developed onto his body, they can store heat as if they were insulation. This prevents some damage that comes his way in the terms of heat- which is a big help due to him being weak to said fire. He also has a natural hardness because the scales appeared in spots like his knees, feet, etc- where the body usually lands on. This doesn’t prevent him from breaking any bones when he falls off a building but it prevents from some scratches and cuts.

Passives (that are always active after using the machine of Frost ability)
Icebound Fortitude: During the process of returning his energy and doubling it, Mastema will freeze his blood, therefore making him almost immune to stunning effects. Of course there are a few exceptions to this like blinding blinding effects.

Cold Bone and Steel: This is the armor and runeblade that Mastema is given when the magical energy from the area that he effected is given back to him and doubled. He doesn’t really know how he gets the armor but he has it. This armor is only made when he has the ability active but he doesn’t actively create it so it can be classified as a passive ability.

Splitting Ice: This will make three of every attack that Mastema or any of his Clones do. This passive abilities will only work on his abilities if the Machine of Frost ability is active.
Speed: Variable
Fighting Style: Mastema’s style is quite unknown, he seems very adaptive as most other people can say he dodges and observes. But who knows!

Other Items: Mastema carries a burnt picture of himself and his first late wife, Kaia, then a bloodied locket of his second late wife and child.
