Richard brushed his hands together to remove bits of dirt and grass from his gloves and said the activation word to the totem. The second totem planting was significantly less exciting than the first. Looking around the area, he scans for visitors, groundskeepers, and even for earth-bound souls. Seeing none, he heads to the west corner of the graveyard to meet up with Argus. It took longer than he had liked to reach the corner but soon he saw the dijin's reptilian face sniffing the air. "There were no visitors in the East of the grave yard, most likely too early for visitors to go here." Looking around the immediate area there was no sign of undead...yet. The uneasiness he felt just by being in this corner of the graveyard, was a tell tale sign that there was something that actively refused his presence. "Argus, mana surges don't normally feel like this. Nor do bio-hazards...is it what I think it is?"

"If this was wild magic the only thing I would smell is decaying flesh and residual mana."the Djinn growled, his face quickly shifting back to the human form in a burst of flame, "Virus would smell toxic, like meat that's gone rancid from bacterial growth. This... the magic here stinks of corruption -black magic. We're definitely dealing with a necromancer." he concluded, pulling a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it up without thinking, "Lich or not I can't tell for sure, the smells have mingled too much for me to make out the conjurer from the undead. But, if we can find some material evidence, I should be able to pick up the trail. I've got that in common with bloodhounds." Argus offered humorously, crouching down to examine the soil, "Could take awhile to find but I think it's safe to say this is definitely the area to be looking. Although..."

The redhead looked around for a vantage point, spotting a tall, pillar-like gravestone a short distance away. "Necromancy is complicated stuff, you need a ritual circle to get things started." Argus observed, walking over to the stone and pushing on it gently to ensure it was stable. "Give me a boost, I need a higher angle. And yes, I'm pretty sure this counts as grave desecration; but it's easier than finding a ladder."

"I was hoping it was just an odd wild magic surge...Oh well. Lets go find this necromancer's trail." Richard said while drawing out his runed truncheon. Approaching the pillar like tomb, he had second thoughts regarding the usage of this person's memorial as an improvised ladder. He turns to face his partner and suggests something. "Rather than desecrating the gravestone, how about we use it as a balance but you just stand on my shoulders? I am pretty tall and quite strong."

"Think of it this way, we get to protect the public, AND make sure the sick bastard doesn't do it again."
The Djinn stated matter-of-factly before letting out a fake sigh, "Fine, we can do it the safe and logical way." he agreed, waiting for Richard to give him the boost, "By the way, I'm not actually as heavy as I look. Biologically speaking I have more in common with an oil lamp than with a human." Argus swallowed his cigrette whole rather than spit it out, clearly an effort to avoid sullying the graveyard any further.

"Gods, I hope there's a circle here." the red haired djinn already suspected this wasn't a normal necromancer, something just felt fundamentally wrong about the whole situation. If the necromancer had used a proper ritual, this would be easy, just some idiot with too much free time. But if they hadn't prepared a circle, it was definitely the worst case scenario.

The man smirks at the faux complaint of the dijin. The man then walks near the pillar-esque gravestone and mutters a quiet apology to the owner before going to a knee and nodding to his partner that he was ready to boost him up. The dijin had mentioned that he wasn't that heavy and Richard took note that he ought not to put too much power behind the upward force. Lest he send his partner flying a short distance.

Now standing on Richard's shoulders, the Djinn rested his hands against the top of the grave marker for balance and began to survey the area. "Let's see. Old flowers, some graves in desperate need of repair... weeds." as Argus continued to list off his observations, his voice become increasingly nervous, "There's no circle here." he let out an audible sigh,, "Alright Rich, you can put me down. This is definitely worst case scenario. No ritual circle, that can only mean one thing; a necromancer powerful and experienced enough to raise the dead without one. We're either dealing with a Lich, or somebody pretty god damned close to becoming one."

"Missing child case, believed to have been abducted by a witch." Rost reiterated, quoting the case file,
"Reasons why are impossible to say. There's too many variables, too many possible motives. We should focus on the how and where rather than the why, just for the time being." he explained as he lead Amaya and Mason towards his car. Given how pressing this matter was, the scribe elected to worry about updating Mason's seal later. "We shall be following protocol properly for this mission, you two. You are not to use any supernatural abilities without my express permission; unless loss of life is imminent or civilians are in danger. If anyone sees your powers, round them up and flash their memory immediately; there's neuralyzers in the car.

Rost's car was about as far as one could expect from the vehicle of a secret agent in his line of work. The best word for it would be, in short underwhelming; a dark blue Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser with wood-grain paneling and black, faux-leather seats. Superficially, the only thing out of the ordinary was that a wall of bullet proof glass had been installed, dividing the front and rear seats entirely.
"I'm afraid the two of you will have to squeeze into the front with me. The rear is not currently functional."

"Honestly, I never needed a car or figure the need to drive when i can form with any water source and being this city has a vast sewer system. I can get anywhere I need to in most cities."She Replied to Rost following him and mason. She looked at the vehicle before tilting her head "interesting...I guess I will take middle."She said shrugging before she moved to the vehicle opening the passenger door climbing into the middle column waiting for both of them as she was curious how this mission was going to go since both all she and mason knew were to use their abilities and now have to not use them. What a interesting mission indeed

The man let the dijin off his shoulders and back onto the ground. The worst case scenario was at hand and the two were dealing with an experienced necromancer or, God forbid, an actual lich. "Christ almighty. Why would an experienced necromancer or lich choose this place? If they wanted to amass an army of undead, there were far larger cemeteries near the city outskirts." The man tried to find reason to this act when he saw a stumbling figure fifty meters away from their position. Not breaking eye contact with the figure, he gently taps his hand on Argus' arm. "Argus, I think I found our first zombie..." The man then draws his runed truncheon, ready to engage.

Essie watched the golem exit and return to the vehicle, her glassy eyes were focused on the sigil she etched atop the spell sheet, noting its intricacies though nothing more. Her headed nodded in understanding once, then twice as she set the parchment onto her lap. 'I will be very careful, although I worry this spell will dissipate once I activate my abilities. Nonetheless this is quite useful, thank you.'

Her creativity wasn't too broad, however she had a vague idea in mind of how she'd prefer to present herself. Resting one hand on top the sigil sheet she enacted the glamour and shrouded herself in a... Humanoid illusion of her current appearance. The light blonde ringlets and pale skin remained, she lacked her jointed and porcelain features and overall appeared acceptable in terms of human societal standards.

She slipped out of the passenger side and waited for Astra before they met Griffin.

"Worry not, Essie. Glamour spells are quite resilient, though if that would be an issue to you, I will obtain spare spell sheets." The golem woman then leaves Essie and moves back to the car to obtain spare scrolls. "Feel free to obtain any spare equipment and gear before we leave to rendezvous with Griffin." Astra states to Essie while she tucks away three spare scroll sheets and keeps a look out for any curious civilians.

Downtown wasn't his favorite places to go. There were too many people around. There were so many smells and sounds that tracking was almost impossible. That was one of the reasons finding this shapeshifter wouldn't be difficult. Shifters were smart. It was rare they got caught. Their only lead was the disappearance of an old man. But there were many logical reasons for the man to have simply move away. He had been retiring because he couldn't handle his store any more. There was no signs of foul play.

When he saw the girls he moved from the shaded spot he had been waiting in. Despite the agency's protection he felt more comfortable in the shadows. "I thought we start in the business of the old man. It's our only real indicator that a shifter might be in the area." He told the girls. It wasn't much but there was never a lot when a shifter knew how to hide their presence and most of them were taught how to blend in with human. Supernatural beings had had to learn how to in order to survive. Luckily humans had become more open over the years but it wasn't likely that they would be accepted supernatural creatures being their neighbors anytime soon. Until humans more humans were open to people being different it was better if they blended in.

"well where is it then or do we Not know that?" Mason said walking along side Rost before seeing the car. "um do the police know of the organization or will we be on our own with this?" Mason said before sliding in beside Amaya trying to not take up much room. He looked around the interior of the car noting it looked relatively normal besides the bullet proof glass.

Argus

@Searat
"Maybe they're trying to kickstart an apocalypse but want to start small, try to avoid notice?" Argus suggested, "Let's just try to keep a level head for now." The Djinn tensed up as the stench of corruption and decay suddenly intensified, and he felt Richard tap on his shoulder. Turning slowly, the senior agent followed Richard's gaze and locked his eyes into the undead, "Yep, that's a shambler if ever I've seen one." Argus' fingertips ignited and the fire spread slowly up them, peeling away his human form to reveal the Djinn claws beneath. The red haired man flexed his hands, signaling a trickle of orange and red flames to take form around the sharp bone protruding from his fingertips.

Rost

@Blueflame@LightningMaiden
"Well, Miss Yashika, I would advise you grow accustomed to motor vehicles promptly. They are essential in our line of work, for reasons you will soon understand." Rost dismissed, climbing into the driver's seat and closing the door behind him. "We will be starting with the child's family. As far as they are concerned, we are federal investigators who have been summoned to assist in the investigation. We tell them that cover, get the information we need, then neuralyze them on the way out; make them forget we were ever here."

The scribe had forgotten, briefly, that his associate had not yet received any training, "Now, Young Mason. We are alone on this mission, as with every other. We answer to no government agency domestic or otherwise. We have direct ties to only one other organization, the Men In Black; think of us as two sides of the same coin. The MIB deal with the extraterrestrial. We, the supernatural."

"Just call me Amaya Rost. As well as driving, I have had no one to teach me much of anything other then what I learn from books and found on the basic television in the old manor I lived in nearly all my life before the director found me."Said Amaya folding her arms as she listened "There is a lot I need to learn but the memories of my father says don't trust anything or Anyone, my memories of my mother says to trust..."She said to Amaya "So I know much of nothing of this world or what to really do of it."She added listening to him and mason as she decided being quiet the rest of the way would be best.

"Understood Griffin. Head to the store owned by the suspect and locate evidence." Astra said as she updated her current objectives. She then notes that the sun was already steadily rising from the east. "There is now a significant amount of sunlight. Would this inhibit your abilities, Griffin?"

@Phantomlink959
The prospect of the apocalypse did not sit well with Richard. Despite it's flaws and dark corners, He liked living in this world. Gripping his weapon tightly in his hand, he observed how the senior agent would act. Richard was no stranger to fighting lesser undead but walking up to the reanimated corpse and clocking it on the head until it stopped being reanimated seemed the most direct and effective method but also the least discreet.

@Phantomlink959@LightningMaiden "Who would take over if it was an extraterrestrial supernatural being" Mason said with noticible amounts of curiousity. Mason listened to Amaya explain how her life has been and how she got information before saying "So you were an impartial jury then you have the info but you need to decide what to do with it "

Argus

Argus rushed forward once he knew Richard was ready, Try not to destroy it completely, I can ue this one to track the others -and their master." the Djinn requested, taking an offensive stance once he was within range of the zombie, And keep your eyes peeled

Rost

@Blueflame@LightningMaiden
"As you wish, Amaya." the scribe gave his respectful acknowledgement, "If you would like, I could tutor you between missions. Mason, as well. I was a college professor for 12 years you know. archaeology. Have you ever seen the bones of a dragon?" he added curiously,

Rost fired the engine in the car, and rather than the sputtering one would expect from such an outdated model, the engine came to life with a gentle hum. "Indeed, there would be a short handover period where our agents work together to confirm the nature of the incident and our notes would be passed along, and then we would remove ourselves and allow the MIB to take over."

" I would love to learn more of this world and find my own way and opinion."She said to rost before speaking to mason" yeah I always been and memories and wants conflict of the two...gets annoying."She replied listening to them both as she looked forward deciding to let them speak as she took in the information she needed to. She closed her eyes allowing her mind to zone out of the real world, allowing it to flow through the mix of memories as they drove
