Ok, so, here are some ideas as to the general direction of the RP.
There are currently three of us here in this thread, I can get at least two more friends to join. That makes five of us. We can start off as a squad in any random village. Thats just the starting point, unless you guys
@Tsukai@sassy1085 have different ideas on where you would want your character to start.
After that is sorted, we can start taking missions. We can all come up with missions, so not even the GMs know what exactly is supposed to happen all the time. This, in my opinion, promotes character and plot development. Of course, the GMs can come with up the first couple of missions just to get the RP rolling. Then, after that, if certain players want to develop their characters a certain way, they can even potentially take their characters on a solo "journey" where the player would submit the idea and potential end result to the GM for approval then ask for partners or characters to partake in their mission. Otherwise the GMs (Or players) can come up with ways to further promote character growth.
We can also do things in arcs. The main story teller for that arc (Be it the GM or another player) would then drive the story. Playing major NPCs or villains and other important characters besides their own. I, and the other potential GM, are typically pretty open to players driving their own development after obtaining approval for the general direction of the aforementioned development. I won't ask for details too often as long as the end result is in line with the current state of the RP, i.e. we're two weeks into the RP and you want your character to become a Jonin, that will most likely be shot down unless we are provided with a very sound and convincing reason as to why that should be ok. All I, and I think I can safely speak for the other potential GM as well, want is for the RP to progress at a healthy, and realistic, pace.
Otherwise please feel free to comment and provide feedback on my thoughts as to how the RP would go. If all is agreed, I can have the RP up tonight or in the next couple of days. For timezone purposes, I'm in the Midwest of the United States so CST.
