Just making the first post for where I'll be putting down sheets for characters of mine, both pre-the site(unless an issue arises with that), present(any I have elsewhere or will be making for rps). I know this isn't as fancy as many of the other starter posts for folks here, but uh, as I learn the site better, I'll come back and beautify it. Probably won't be posting any of my characters right away, least not ones being made for concurrent rps. Not until they get approved. Old ones...well, that's whenever I get over stage fright, and can figure out how to format their base sheets(since I'm used to G+ formatting and Google document formatting, its been years since my old forum days) without it looking ugly. If its not apparent yet, I'm hella nervous about my own work.
Update 12/18/18: Just as a headsup, but some sheets may have links to google documents, in the event that a specific segment is too long for whatever reason. I've yet to test this, but my "main" has several google document links due to how some segments were quite long, and I wanted to reduce the core sheet's length to avoid eyestrain on readers, or lag, or just making it smoother. That and Google documents had some features that forums here have built in. Probably going to test with the core document for my main. Feedback on formatting is welcome, and for each character, I'll note the length of time I've been x character, and what series they draw from(as some were the product of multifandom rping, while some are their own work, but were written into the expanded universe of something).
Notes: This is a direct translation from another roleplay off the site, and will be fixed up another day, probably when I have the patience to get super detailed beyond what's here, adjust off site references, and fancy with formatting.
Stella Rock, The First Grand Master
“Grandmaster Stella, engaging enemy forces now.”
Name: Stella Rock
Titles: Firstborn First Rockroid Grandmaster Stella The Successor Rockwoman Rockwoman
Age: DoC unknown Appears to be a young adult, has a mental age of an adult in their late twenties
Gender: Female
Race/Species: First Generation Rockroid(Originally) Rune Rockroid(Current)
Appearance: Nashi(Kantai Collection)
Personality: A stoic, yet easy going Rockroid, who is emotionless for the most part in battle, but cheerful and outgoing around her own kind. She holds a sort of big sister mentality, due to being the oldest creation of the Doctor, but is well aware of how this may drive others to annoyance, and as such, responds as is proper to a given situation. She does however, admit to occasional nerves, in part due to her status as the Second Rockwoman.
Equipment: MKIII Rock Cannon - A drastically improved version of the Rock Cannon originally wielded by Serene Selphia, the Rock Cannon can take on a variety of forms, to best suit the given situation. Through the Variable Weapons System, the cannon can channel a variety of Special Weapons, from robotic and organic foes alike. Stella’s is the default model, rather than a specialized design centric to a given series model. Standard: The Cannon’s default form, resembles a large, one handed cannon, with a trio of flared prongs at the end of the gun barrel, and a cover to provide protection to the user’s arm, and a hand grip with trigger inside of the gun itself. Shots are about a foot high, and are comprised generally of solar energy, but can also be switched out for other energy based ammo. Sniper: A long range, silent mode, designed for quiet operations where stealth is key. Resembles a sniper rifle, bullets are much smaller, but due to being of a higher density, have a great penetration power. Due to the length of the barrel, requires the user to be resting, to produce better accuracy. Machine Gun: A close range, more destructive weapon, designed for crowds. Fires a hail of energy shots, that while shots are smaller and weaker than the standard variant, flow faster, allowing for crowd suppression. Requires two hands. Less accurate, but makes up for it with fire rate. Mortar: A specialized form that allows the user to lob shots at a target, generally used when terrain makes it hard to get close or a clear shot otherwise. Or if you’re trying to avoid damaging people around. Shots are bigger, and cause more damage, resembling shells. Low fire rate, low accuracy, but generally hits within the given area. Flamethrower: A specialized variant that despite the name, produces a stream of various elements in a continuous flow. Generally fire, but can also produce a steady flow of other elements as needed. Laser Cannon: A solid beam of energy fires out from the source, constantly firing, but lacks as much power as other weapons. Decent fire rate, but slow to turn due to the constant fire. Grapple Shot: Fires an energy projectile that allows the user to grapple to a point, and swing around. Basically like the Metroid weapon. Missile Launcher: Fires a variety of missile types, can be charged to fire stronger missiles. Somewhat okay rate of fire, missiles can be stopped easily if one knows how. Naval Guns: Functions exactly like most naval weapons, this form is mounted to the user’s back, and can fire independently due to being able to swivel. Best used during sea battles, due to the unwieldiness.
MKIII Rock Katana - The primary bladed weapon of the Rock Army, generally used when in close quarters, or when cannons are useless. Despite the name, can take a variety of design choices. Stella’s variant most resembles the classic Rock Saber, and can take on several forms. Standard: Just resembles a nice katana with a notch in one part. Best used for cutting foes. Cleaver: A larger blade, that gives up accuracy for pure power. Very sharp. High Frequency: Vibrates at high frequency, to slice through molecular bonds. Doesn’t work well against shields, but has a high cutting power due to the material its made from being decently strong. Electro: Sword becomes covered in an electrical field, that shocks anyone it comes into contact to. Basically a dangerous taser, as it can cause nervous system damage. Flame Saber: Just a blade coated in fire, designed for medical action, since it burns a cut.
Bio-Data Capture Unit(Rock Scanner) - A powerful scanning device that allows the user(if robotic), to capture and apply the bio-data of scanned opponents. Bio-data involves many factors, such as powers, abilities, stats, and appearance, as well as other unspecified factors, but means more than just organic foes, any type of foe can be scanned. While not necessarily able to replicate a user’s degree of skill at once, it does allow the copier to grow more proficient over time. Additionally, there is a passive jamming function that prevents equal or lower tech levels to copy the owner. At present, Stella appears to lack any Bio-Data, and thus has nothing to bring to bear.
Variable Weapon System - A copying variant that works on contact with a fallen robotic target, or via other means, and turns their data into power. Weapons created in this manner are known as Special Weapons. Special Weapons may be weaker than their original self, or have different manners of usage. Stella has access to several, which will be written down later.
MKIII Warp Core - A powerful energy core that is located inside the chest, and provides both immense speed, and immense power. Reaches around Transwarp 20 for speed, and allows a user to fight for days, if not weeks on end without needing to rest.
Black Shield - A powerful barrier that upon activation, forms a sort of prism around the user, deflecting attacks. Doesn’t prevent the user from either being moved, or continuing to move while active. Prevents damage from below a certain threshold, generally equal to the users durablity.
Powers: Rune Energy Generation and Manipulation - All Runemons possess the power to generate Runic Energy inside their body, then turn it into power. As a Rune Android, Stella possesses the elemental alignment of wind, due to the electrical energy that surges through her body, and can thus manipulate both Wind and Electric, to varying degrees. In turn, she is healed by wind and electrical attacks, overheal causing her defense and speed, respectively, to increase in equal amounts to said overheal, and wear off either by the end of a current engagement, or one hour after application, whichever comes first, unless new attacks are absorbed, which restart the counter. She can also generate Rune Gates, tears in space-time that allow her to move from one point to another. Summoning Runemons are also possible, but none have been done yet.
Item Absorption - Runemons can absorb items that are thrown at them, or given to them, gaining boosts accordingly. Though this can also work against them, via items that harm, rather than help.
History: The first Rockroid ever created. When Stella was made is unknown, but as the oldest, Stella has often operated in Serene’s stead as needed. Standing at her creator’s side, she has done what she can to fight well. Her life prior to the events of Rapture are, as of yet, unknown. Arriving in Pendrago shortly after Serene took over, she took up her place at her mother’s side. Keeping out of sight, to avoid causing undo distress to the population.
Stats/Feats: To be implemented later
Weaknesses: Earth - Earth impedes air, so the element of Earth does more damage to her, but not much.
Technopathy - Stella currently lacks defenses against technology manipulation.
Power Copying - While Rockroids possess innate defenses against most forms of power copying, purely organic means, or on contact copying may work, if preparations aren’t made.
Trivia: Stella likes heavy metal music and classical rock, surprisingly enough.
First draft of a character I'd been toying with. AU of my big main. Its a pretty half assed attempt, but it grew out of a quote that while not the one currently listed, was similar.
”Stop, have a drink, I can tell you’ve been traveling awhile, tell me your story. There’s good food, good drink here. I record memories, so they live on. I’m a traveler myself, a sailor of the stars you could say.”
Name: The Traveler(Real Name Unknown)
Age: Unknown, galactic records note her or someone like her appearing countless times over the span of several eras.
Gender: Presumably female, judging by appearance
Race: Unknown Humanoid
Personality: A cosmic traveler, who is calm, kind, polite, always eager to hear the stories of another, to share her tales of others. She loves a good time, and is always quick to offer assistence. And yet, there is a pain in her eyes, as if she knows something the other doesn’t. But whenever asked about herself, she becomes silent, sometimes sullen, indicating a desire to not discuss beyond what is needed. Perhaps that sadness...is the eternal loneliness that is her existence.
Appearance:
Relationships: None applicable(unless you count the support crew of her worldship)
Equipment/Arsenal: Treasury of the Domain/Rocktropolis - A pocket dimension tied to her worldship, containing her vast collection of items, ranging from weapons, to utility items, to mecha, to transports, to just about anything. Each item has a place, and contains memories attached to it.
The World Ship - Her transport, a massive tube shaped object with hemispheres at both ends. Contains a mini-world inside, and enough supplies to last for generations between star systems. Contains weapons and defenses believed to be far beyond current galactic capacities. About the size of Earth’s sun length wise. Uses engines of an unknown time for movement. Contains bays for shuttle craft and larger ship to dock.
Hovercraft - Resembles the Egg-Mobile from Sonic 06, her personal transport craft when on surface of worlds.
Androids - Highly advanced artificial lifeforms that act to maintain the systems of her ship, call themselves Rockroids. Resemble various types of lifeforms, and can perform a variety of tasks.
Power Suit - A high tech biomechanical suit that can encase her body as needed, seems to be created via data or matter manipulators located on her hands and back. An undersuit of a latex like material is always present when the suit is worn. Has a variety of weapons and applications.
Powers: Undocumented, but she appears to possess some degree of control over elements, as well as immense power over technology in many forms. May use this to levitate.
Skills/Abilities: Unknown as to the extent, but presumed to be very knowledgeable in many areas.
Background: Many civilizations describe a cometary body in the heavens that while far off, clearly exerted some sort of force that prevented it from interfering with the orbital mechanics of other worlds. Often when observed, a mysterious figure comes to the world, always with the same appearance, seeking knowledge, information, and cultural treasures. Sometimes they are said to herald a new era of knowledge in turn, by giving those deemed worthy marvelous wonders to advance their civilization, other times, they are seen as a herald of the world’s end, as sometimes she arrives shortly before some sort of disaster that wipes out a large amount of life. In other words, this mysterious woman is seen as both a promise of prosperity, and as a harbinger of the end. As the galaxy advanced, it became easier to confirm that all the legends were indeed true. There was a cosmic traveler out there, who wandered from system to system, sometimes with a massive star sized space ship, sometimes in smaller ships. But always the same woman, and with the ages, as civilizations achieved space travel and began to spread, her approaches changed. Instead of a figure descending from the heavens dramatically, or a wandering sage, she might be found buying something, or sitting at a bar stool, conversing with those around. No one knows where she came from, no one knows what her end goals are, but it is said that she walks alone, that none who have ever been plucked by her ever return, for some times it is said she takes people when she descends, but this is often associated with disasters that come after.
What is known is that she is the Traveler, a collector of memories, a recorder of lost and existing civilizations. More than one fool has stated a desire to rob the great ship, only to meet his end. But never has she struck back in anger, only to defend what is hers. She is as mysterious as any other cosmic mystery, but perhaps, one day, she will reveal her purpose. Until then, she is an urban legend, a story to be told by a fire late at night, never knowing if the mysterious figure is already there, watching and listening. The lone wanderer, the pioneer of the stars...
From the one thing that Ruler did that was shutdown. I haven't touched it up since December 30th, so information here may not be up to date. Found it when digging through files for something else.
Dark Rockverse
▼ DESCRIPTION ▼
[Genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Grimdark(?)(Might not be right), Space Opera-esque, insert other genres(as world setting allows)] Inspirations: Mega Man, Metroid, Star Wars, Rune Factory, Sonic the Hedgehog, assorted science fiction series
A Universe on the brink of disaster, as a machine empire engulfs existence.
The Dark Rockverse. A twisted image of what should and could have been. Long ago, an alien race of machines, led by their creator, a figure referred to as the Divine Mechromancer, ascended into the stars from their forgotten home world, on a quest to unify the cosmos. At first, they were peaceful, aiding other civilizations, raising those that were seen as ready to the status of vassal states, and conquering worlds who were decided to either pose a threat to them, or a greater threat to the peace of the galaxy. Led by the Goddess, the endless armadas expanded outward, engulfing space in their flags, until tragedy struck. Everything changed when the fire nation struck their goddess vanished, around five thousand years ago. What was once a dream of peace, became a dream of conquest, as factions erupted within the Empire. The Rock Imperium remained united, as all factions seeked to honor their creator's dreams, but with her disappearance, different factions took different views of how to achieve this.
To the hapless worlds that remained outside the hold of the Rock Imperium, five factions arose that would become the stuff of galactic terror.
Star of Justice - A faction that believes that in order for peace to exist, that which is evil must be purged. Their ships are white in color, and they see themselves as bringers of the cure. Worlds brought under their direct control exist in police state like environments. While rebellion is possible, it is not advised unless one has good reasons for rebelling, as otherwise, the Star will bring down what is referred to divine judgement. In some worlds, they style themselves as divine beings, in order to better enforce their rule.
Rock Tyrants - A faction that believes peace can only be achieved with an iron fist(literally in their case, or whatever material makes up their hands). Like tyrants they conquer worlds, quelling all forms of rebellion, but rule justly, so long as their ire is not incurred. Rebellion is useless without great power and careful planning.
The Fakers - A faction who believes that trickery is the route to peace, that if the people believe that their own leaders are still in charge, and willing making the decisions to join the Rock Imperium, all is well. Worlds under their control are often false utopias, or distopias. They replace the world leaders with doubles, or put in puppets. Rebellion is possible, but risky, for they are not afraid to employ tactics to undermine rebellions, even resorting to "reprogramming" captives.
The Diplomats - The most peaceful faction. They are the ones who seek to annex peacefully, speaking truthfully. Rebellion here is less likely to succeed due to how respectful the interlopers are. Think of it as...being invited to join a galactic federation. So long as they remain clueless of what other factions are doing, so shall they remain safe.
Total Annihilation - The most dangerous and yet also easiest to repel faction at first. They believe that only the chosen are fit to live, and fit to lead. So worlds that do not bend the knee from the outset are put to the torch, and the people, if not wiped out, are turned into slaves to serve their new masters, brainwashed to think that this is how it has always been. Rebellion can only work if those who wish to fight are smart, for the faction of annihilation believes that once they have subdued a world, resistance is impossible, but will still crush it if it appears, making examples of innocents to break the backs of those who resist. But if an armed resistance is ready and smart, they can impress their conquerors, making it possible to gain independence.
And these are merely the known factions that seek to expand the interest of the Imperium outside of their own lands. Some whisper of other factions that assassinate targets and use civil unrest to achieve annexation, but these are merely stories.
In the wake of conquest, if a system is lifeless(either from the start or from antics involved in conquest), massive resource gathering ships are sent out, to consume dwarf planets, to drain water worlds, to strip rocky planets to the core, to suck up the gases of gas giants, and in some cases, take the stars to fuel massive installations. If a system is alive, bio-data will gathered from all lifeforms, to be delivered to processing facilities, the new data used to create or modify existing machinery, to be ready for future actions.
But of course, there must be a "glimmer" of hope amid the stars. For while many worlds have come under the yoke of galactic control, some have thrown it off, or held it off long enough, or have seen the threat approaching, and have joined others to prepare. And so was born the resistance.
The Resistance - A collection of star systems, banding together to stand against the metal menace. Some have lost their homes, being forced to travel on world ships, permitted to leave by the invaders, others who have spent generations in space and refuse to bend the knee, and still others who hold out on their worlds. And those as of yet who have yet to see the threat. And yet, despite this light of hope, the resistance is on the defensive, as they act the part of merely a dam, holding back development along some parts of the cosmic axis. Some worlds still holding out are encircled by the tendrils of the invaders, to one day be overwhelmed and consumed. And some systems have been wiped out completely, rendered unable to be used by either side, for one reason or another.
▼ SPECIES ▼
While the universe is vast, there are four "recongized" races by the Imperium, which will be used for ease of discussion(but future exploration will allow for some sandbox antics).
Dragonkin(Draconians in Light Rockverse) - Space Dragons that originated from a lost world, even longer before the Rock Imperium rose, some even dared suggest that the reason this race is considered above even the Rock Imperium's primary race is because their goddess is one of this race. But due to the ages past, it cannot be said for sure. While Dragonkin can be found both amid the Rock Imperium's ranks, often commanding fleets, just as many live free, or fight for the rebellion. For many worlds in the main galaxy house dragonkin. Whether or not they all came from the same stock or not is unknown. Many Dragonkin possess human characteristics, and bare little to no sign of their dragon side, but some may have traits such as visible scales, or wings. All possess a power known as a Signature Skill. Think of it as a skill tree, but with a simple concept. A power, that they start with, and expand from. For example, a fire user starting with the power to barely control fire, to perhaps, tens of thousands years later, control heat on a galactic scale. Those who have Signature Skills of interest to the Imperium may end up being kidnapped from their homes if their parents do not give their children up for examination, and may be turned into willing agents of chaos. Who knows... Notes: The Draconians are from a work me and some friends in another time and place worked on together, felt only fair to give them a bit of tribute, since the Rockverse draws elements from that multiversal adventure.
Rock Androids(Children of the Goddess) - Highly advanced artificial lifeforms who form the bulk of the Imperium. They come in all shapes and sizes, but all have one trait in common, they possess a soul, artificial in origin, but a soul nonetheless. For some, the type is unclear, but for others, the soul is borne of cosmic energy from another dimension, a realm of monsters. Possessing a partial hivemind, they are yet all themselves, all their own person. There are multiple sub-races, perhaps hundreds, if not thousands, for a variety of tasks. There are soldier units, police units, berserkers, pilots, drivers, leaders, commanders, gunners, farmers, miners, divers, so on and so forth. If a task requires specialization beyond what an existing unit has, changes may be made to accommodate this, in part why the bio-data of enslaved worlds are deemed so valuable. They seek knowledge, they seek power, and above all else...they seek to find their goddess, and beg for an explanation as to what went wrong. It is said that are a set of Androids who stand above all the rest, who were the ones first made by the Goddess, but who they are is unknown to outsiders, and forgotten to most. Notes: The original Rock Androids were the result of crossover antics, and thus are the reason I note Sonic and Mega Man, as you may see some wielding weapons that look akin to Mega Man stuff. Also BRS, since the earlier FCs I used for them were from that series. If anyone does want to make OCs from here once approved, I'm working on a "cheat" sheet for all versions of the Rockroids, since I use them in other places. It'll help you pick a model type, and while any FC works, it'll also help figure out where your picked FC fits. They don't all look like robots.
Monsters of the Forest - Creatures from a dimension directly on top of the primary one. They resemble mutated Earth life, but also all sorts of fantasy creatures, from slimes to living suits of armor, to even giant golems who block out the sun. Seen in a degree of awe by the Rock Androids, they are often seen alongside the Androids, battling their foes. The energy they emit from their bodies, while beneficial to the environment, and to the people, as worlds with their energy are generally healthier and better than those without, can in large dosages beyond what a person can handle, corrupt, and drive mortals mad with power, and eventually, tear their soul away into the Forest if not treated properly. There they are reborn as monsters, and thus live anew. They are most commonly found in Rock Imperium held lands, where terraforming has already begun. Notes: Literally the Runemons from Rune Factory, gotta give a tip of the hat to the series that started me off on serious rping yo. Mention of this one is the most optional, as they probably won't appear in immediate narrative.
The Annexed and the To Be Annexed - A catchall term for all races that fit none of the above three, and either are under the rule, or still live free. The lucky who submit early get good treatment, and the rest...get fitting treatment. You can be a slave working in the mines, a farmer slave, or any number of other roles. And some get turned into gladiators to fight for the amusement of their overlords. Its a hard knock life.
▼ OTHER ▼
Stuff here is, of course, subject to change as needed. A lot of this is derived from an ongoing narrative involving the "main" I've spoken of in the past. If enough folks want to see her, I'll post her sheet from outside the forum. The Rockroids are, for the most part, my personal work, as while they are the result of crossover rps, they're also the one thing that I've put the most time into, or into their creator. The difference between this and the "Good" Rockverse is that their goddess is still around, and are a much nicer, more peaceful group. For those who want, I can provide images in private of some older designs, or the more common stuff. A few things to note, that I'll expand on later as needed, is how they travel FtL from system to system. Probably going to use a hyper-space type deal, or Star Trek Warp Travel(since there's some irl scientific research pointing to it being a possibility, but don't quote me). Feedback is, of course, always welcome. The broken star is another stable of Dark Rockverse, symbolizing the factional nature that sprang up after their creator vanished. And another note to BRS, since I loved the weapons in that series.
I also apologize for any bad formatting, I'm still learning the forum, been here only three days so yeah.
Additionally, beyond this setting, I may turn either Dark Rockverse into a larger sandbox story as folks want, or go back to Light Rockverse for stuff. The setting is such that we can go back and forth in the war, with the smaller worlds being their own thread focus or whatever, and the larger story being a nation tale, who knows, eh? If folks penetrate deep enough into the Imperium, it'll let me play around with dungeon master stuff.
