The day starts out like any other. Lucas Knight gets up early and puts on his work out clothes. But first, he mixes up a protein drink and swallows it down before he begins his intense work out that takes hours to complete. Once a week, he mixes things up a little by taking a six mile jog if he can fit in the time. This morning, he skips the jog and when he finishes his workout he hops in the shower.
Lucas cooks himself a simple breakfast, keeping it small to help maintain his weight. He’s strict, preferring a low fat and low carb diet. He rarely eats out, even with what few friends he happens to have. On the rare occasions he does end up eating out, it’s always a salad for him or something that isn’t high in fat and high in carbs as they do nothing for his body.
Days before, Lucas applied for a position as a body guard for some upcoming singer and sent in his application along with his resume and references. Now he waits for a call either for an interview or to say he’s hired. Most people choose to interview him face to face but a few have been known to take one look at his application and resume before immediately hiring him. If he gets this job, the pay is good. At least, in his own opinion.
Lucas doesn’t really have an opinion on the singer herself. Before the applying for the job, he’s never even heard of her, which isn’t very surprising. He deduces she must be on the rise as a singer and a possible High School graduate. Of course, he guesses, she might still be in High School. Either way, it doesn’t matter. A job is a job and even though he hopes they get along he prepares himself for the possibility they might not. But all of this is assuming he even gets the job. He might not, it really depends on any number of factors.
As Lucas waits for the phone call, he begins to pull apart a rifle before putting it back to together again. Before he puts it back together, he cleans it and does the same to every weapon he owns. He checks his other equipment to make sure everything is working properly. When he is satisfied he finally sits down and begins reading a book about military history as he waits for the phone call.
