Every world has its problems, but not all can be fixed with a strong will or friendly smile. Jace, a 14-year-old boy from Halden, lost everything when his town was ravaged by a passing group of travelers, wanting nothing more than supplies for their next adventure. The world he grew up in was one of chaos, a land where only the strong thrived, and everyone else was at their mercy. He believed there was no way out, until he found the alter, or rather, it found him.
Hidden within the mountains where Jace fled, rested a shrine lost to time, housing artifacts of long-passed civilizations. He dared not touch a thing, fearing their power, until he discovered the most powerful of the artifacts, a gleaming gem that had become known over time as the oblivion stone. Instinctively, he knew what the gem was for, its presence calling him, asking him a single question that penetrating his mind; Is this world worth saving? He looked down his hands, blood soaked from the efforts of his family, of everyone, and gave his answer with a grasp of determination. An eerie light enveloped him, accepting his sacrifice to cleanse the world of the evils he knew.

The boy vanished, his light spilling into the walls and illuminating hidden passages to unknown lands. It was here that the Apocalypse began, awakening the lost heroes that were the only one that could now bring these broken lands to their rightful end.

Welcome to the RP! This is a story about a group of antiheroes that are tasked with bringing the world to its rightful end. Good things can't last forever, and when they go rotten, sometimes extra steps need to be taken. Each player will control a "hero" from a distant time, who either directly, or indirectly had a hand at the downfall of their civilization. How they see the world in its current state, and what their culture brought to the present, what was corrupted, and how they choose to deal with that, is all up to the player. The goal will be to bring about the end of the world, but not everyone has to agree on the how and why of it all. Depending on the story, I am open to, and have a few ideas on how this story can end. Remember, each civilization has to contain a certain theme, or even sin that gets carried over into our current era, so be creative. Also, contact with the oblivion stone, or influence, is recommend. If you can't figure how you want the stone to show up, just ask for ideas. Think of it as a dark fairy, that has a flavor for destruction of everything.
Also, as the end of the story nears, these characters will be on a very high level, but please don't start out as an unbeatable god type character, that is no fun, and we will not accept you/kill you off!! Interesting characters have flaws and backstories, so remember that when applying.
