Game Description:

Setting:
Fantasy world of my own creation (which is a mashup and add-ons of Forgotten Realms, Pathfinder, Drizzt, and a couple others most likely)

# of Characters per player:
If 1x1, then 2-4 main characters / If a small group then most will play 1, some can play 2. A total of 6-8 Characters is the desired destination.

Character creation:
Each Character should have a Character sheet (which will be sent over via PM). The process will rely on the choices made by the players taking part in this RP.

The plot:
The group will set upon searching the kidnapped sister of an NPC they shall meet. It will involve battling creatures, falling into ambushes, activating traps, chasing scenes, and perhaps some romance between the chars of the party (your call, for smut - PM only)
Imagine a dungeon if you will, but not necessarily in the form of a labyrinth of rooms and corridors.

So far, I've got you interested? Great!

Game Rules:

Age:
I would prefer our party to be above 18 / 18+, so no one would need to hesitate before writing any content they wish (allowed by the forums of course), but if you are not - let me know, and we can find a way to make this work.

Writing ability:
I would prefer our party to be casual - advanced in writing quantity and quality.
That means that each post should include all kinds of information - describing your character's actions, spoken words, and if you like the thoughts and inner aspects of your character. I will not count words, nor paragraphs, but unless there's a dialogue it means that each post should help get the story forward.

Writing style:
Please, only third person, past tense.

Writing content:
Each post, you will describe your character's actions, including any result that affects your own character.
For determining the results of attempted actions, such as in battle or the like, we will chose a mechanism that fits the players (Discord / PM's / Channels / other).

Language, spelling, grammar and the like:
I would very much like posts to be readable and understandable, while writing in English.
On the other hand, this is for fun. It doesn't matter to me if it's proper English or not. If I understand you, and the other players do - Its good enough for me!
Same applies in my direction. I am not an English native speaker, so sometimes my written language is slightly repetitive or transnational. I apologize in advance for that and hope to compensate with extra creative characters, and fun plot.

If you are still here, then great! Send me a PM, or reply here, whatever is more comfortable to you, and we can get this started.

I'd be interested. I've not played Pathfinder, but I use to play and DM 4th Ed., so I am familiar with D&D/tabletop/pen and paper roleplaying.

Greetings @DTHar, based upon this statement and that this is Pathfinder, I must ask the obvious question to anyone versed in its predecessor. Is this a so-called "3.P" thread you intend to create and play with, a mixture of Third Edition Dungeons and Dragons as well, or purely just that of Pathfinder? The former of those two I am highly versed in and the latter I have read over a handful of times and know the most basic of differences about from the parent d20 System.

It’s going to be pathfinder. Which is similar to 3.5. But the rules are according to pathfinder :)

That I understood but are you taking Pathfinder only content or are you accepting content from Third Edition as well, since Pathfinder technically includes that, @DTHar? I know the greater Pathfinder community is split on what is or isn't canon - only Paizo Publishing being sanctioned versus including all previous Wizards of the Coast print that has to be adapted but is still canon - so it bears asking.

Very well, I will begin researching it some further. From the start, are there any limitations on races or using the "race point system" to modify or build off of races, such as Standard, Advanced, Monstrous, et cetera? Continued, at what level is play being considered at starting?

Any particular way ability scores are being determined? Currently it does not seem possible, at least with the base "race point system" to engineer an actual animal or magical beast player character as well. So I am curious just how you would govern that as the Dungeon Master. As it stands I have a few alternatives at hand if the answer is a pure "No."

If you're willing to offer tickets to people who've never played Pathfinder before, I'll take a ride on this crazy train.

I've been curious about Pathfinder as the last time I played it was in 2014, had only two sessions, and I was completely new to the ttrpg. Now I've been playing D&D 5e for almost 2 years. Although Pathfinder have different rules and is more similar to D&D 3.5 than 5, I've been interested to give it a try. Would appreciate some links that could help with understanding the character creation process as I tried doing it myself just to get a better understand of the character sheet. But if there are still offering tickets for people who are relatively new to Pathfinder, I'll be interested to try.

Do you have need for a Fighter, Ranger or Paladin? I have a small but well fleshed out list of characters personalities to offer.
