Throwing her blankets off of her legs, Kejirah sat up slowly while raising her arms above her head in a large stretch before plopping back down with a loud sigh. She didn't really want to get up, but she knew that she was their only alarm clock, so reaching over, Kejirah grabbed her phone and clicked it on, squinting at the sudden bright light as the clock showed 7:03 and a picture of her and her cat, Satan, together. "Alright," she said, standing up and throwing her phone back onto her bed. "S'pose I have no choice then."

Walking over to the covered up window, Kejirah grabbed the curtains and began to repeatedly open and shut them, letting in the bright morning light in a blinking kind of fashion. She wasn't sure if Aulora was up yet, but in any case that she wasn't..she was now. "Are you up yet? You'd better be 'cause I have plans today and they happen to include you, but you can't be asleep to do them," Kejirah said in a singsong-y voice. "I'm gonna go wake the others now, though I'm kinda hoping that they're already up. I really just wanna annoy the hell out of 'em," she snickered, opening the door to leave. "So. You'd better be up by time I get back. I mean it.

Walking over to Damien and Quartz's room, Kejirah raised her hand to the door and began knocking loudly saying, well, almost yelling, "Damien! Quartz! You fools had better be up! If not, I swear I'll come in there and jump on your bed! Don't think I won't! She grabbed the doorknob and began rattling it until they answered. This was easily her favorite morning routine; she loved finding new ways to wake them up in the most extra way possible. "I'm going to Starbucks and you guys are coming with whether you like it or not! Leaving in thirty!"

Damien

Damien, quite unconsciously, rolled over in his bed as Kejirah started making racket and yelling at them through the door. It was only through her continued carrying on that he eventually opened his eyes, but even then, it was another few minutes before he could actually piece together what was going on.

"Could you tell her to knock it off already?" Damien grumbled at Quartz, his roommate.

"She's five hours too early. I'm not moving." Damien defiantly pulled up the blankets over his head to block out the noise as be curled back up. As far as he was concerned, he was going nowhere at this time of day.

Qษ„โ‚ณโฑคโ‚ฎโฑซ

It was early in the morning. The blissful time where nobody else was awake and the house was for once quiet. Quartz had been up since 5, and had showered and gotten dressed long since then. Now they were enjoying a lovely cup of earl gray tea as they checked on their houseplants, seeing if they needed water, and swapping the places of two plants, since one seemed now to be getting too much light and the other not quite enough. Just as they had watered their peace lily and finished their last sip of tea, they heard the telltale knocking of Kejirah. Calmly they finished what they were doing and set down their mug, and somehow in that time Damien had managed to rise from his eternal slumber and complain about the incessant noise from their housemate.

"It's actually a very nice time in the morning," They told him gently, pulling the blankets unceremoniously off of him. "I think you should stop being a lazy little bitch and just get up." They folded the blankets quickly, and tossed them out of easy reach of the bed, before opening up the door to the room to appease Kejirah.
"We'll be ready soon!" they informed her, "One of us just needs to be persuaded to get up. I bet you can guess who."

While she wasn't completely sure what time it was when Kejirah began to open and close the window curtains, Aulora did know that it was entirely too early for her to even begin thinking about leaving the comfort of her own bed. Aulora Wise had never been a morning person, much preferring to stay up all night and sleep away the daytime. In fact, the young woman had just managed to fall asleep less than five hours prior to her human alarm clock jolting her from her deep slumber; as always, she'd been laying in a heap under her comforter, watching old episodes of Martin and The Fresh Prince on her laptop until she could no longer keep her eyelids open. Her eyes were wide open now, though; the girl slowly turned over in bed and peered up at her roommate through narrowed eyes. Aulora could barely make out what the girl was saying at first, only holding onto words such as plans and include. And it was when the other woman said "you'd better be up by time I get back" as she exited the room that Aulora had to fight the urge to toss one of her potted plants directly at the girl's head.

"Who are you, my mother?" She wanted to yell back to her. But her throat was dry and she just couldn't manage to cough out the words in enough time. Instead, she laid on her back and stared at the white ceiling as she listened to her roommate pound her fist against the door of the next room over. It wasn't until after Kejirah mentioned taking a trip to the nearby Starbucks in thirty minutes that Aulora finally decided to get out of bed, pull her bonnet off her head, and begin her search for a clean outfit.

Less than two minutes later, Aulora was headed out of her bedroom and down the hall towards the bathroom; she held a hanger that contained her upcoming outfit and a shower caddy in one hand, and her makeup pouch in the other. The young woman shot Kejirah a quick glance as she strolled past where she was standing in the hall, flashing her a smirk when their eyes briefly met. "Guess I call first dibs on one of the bathrooms," Aulora said as she continued her walk down the hall, "I'll try not to take too long." But, as everyone in the house surely knew by now, that probably would not be the case; Aulora took much longer than the average person to get herself ready in the mornings.

Taking a few moments to rub her knuckles from continuously knocking on their door, Kejirah took a breath and went to knock again, but as she did so, Quartz had opened the door giving her obvious hints as to who wasn't up yet. "Well, I assumed that you were already up, so-," she leaned past Quartz a little, looking directly at Damien and hollered, "DAMIEN! Get your ass up! It's time to RISE AND SHINE HONEY!" Kejirah then straightened herself up, giving a small cough before smiling politely at Quartz. "Thanks a lot. Now I can get in the shower before-," she paused as Aulora strolled past her and smirling as they made eye contact.

"Wait, no, hold on just a sec," she quickly turned around and started making her way closer towards the woman. "I certainly did not agree to this. This-this is just blasphemy! It's unfair. I was up first, so if anyone should get first dibs, it should be me obviously," Kejirah then went on to make a "shoo-ing" motion, trying to move past Aulora to the bathroom. "And I already have my stuff in there, actually, soo," she lied, scooting ever so slightly to the bathroom. She regret not getting ready before waking them up, but no way was she gonna let Aulora best her to this. Nuh uh. Never.

Damien

Damien glowered at Quartz as his favorite cream microfiber plush throw, the linens, woven acrylics, and other layers of blankets were stripped away. His nostrils flared angrily but he was still feeling too groggy to think of a comeback yet. He wouldn't forget this though, no, he was certain that karma would enact it's justice on them in the near future.

He begrudgingly propped himself up to a sitting position when Kajirah leaned into the doorway and hollered at him. "I think this is a very inconsiderate way to be treating a friend right now, but whatever, that's fine. I'll play along with your little games." He rose up from his pull out bed, the light grey peusdo-matress frame making various squeaking noises as he got up. He lumbered over to the closet and unenthusiastically flipped through the clothing articles hanging up before picking a out a shirt that was probably Quartz's and a nice pair of black slim jeans (those were his).

He sat back down on the edge of his bed, not looking anymore awake than before, and messed with his hair. He could hear the commotion going on between Kejirah and Aulora. Maybe I should go turn off the water heating...no, that's not clever enough. I'll come up with something later.

Didi Sabello

As usual, Didi had been up the whole night doing some work in her laptop for a client she was seeing, very likely of the previous nights before. Pretty sure at this point, a few straight days without any proper sleep is surely not doing any good for her over all well being and mood but hey, bitches gotta earn to pay the rent, one way or another. She hadnt realized the hours that went by until the the idle chatter of her roomates started to fill the otherwise quiet apartment room. She could only roll her eyes at the petty argument over who gets to use the bathroom first. Mornings pretty much start in this type of manner more or less.

She set aside her laptop, next to her coffee cups, not before pushing the clutter aside to carefully, and lovingly put it down, then stood up from her bed slash sofa. While the commotion was still taking place, Didi, slid in her 'room' casually to get her essentials whilst the group outside the rooms was on with their little squabble, "You amateurs done with your little dust up?" she said idly as she stepped out, slinging her towel over her shoulders.

"I've been awake the whole night so technically, I was up first. Hence I get the honors of using the showers." she made a wily little bow at the group before striding towards the shower without a care, but the way she said it was not at all trying to be mean or spiteful. Though it wouldnt take her long to get herself ready either way, in a about 20 minutes or so she was done, rolling the towel over her head and headed towards the fridge to grab a some left over pizza and a jug of milk and sat at the kitchen counter fiddling with her phone, while she watched and waited for the others to go about the day.

The blankets rustled as the single occupant rolled over with a soft moan, blinking against the sunlight that filtered in through the thin curtains. A pale hand shot out from the cocoon of warmth to snag the digital clock off her small nightstand which caused genuine surprise to light up on Aria's delicate features when she read the time. It was quite unusual for her to sleep in even till around seven as she was an early bird by nature. On a normal day, the sun would have barely been showing before the copper-headed woman popped out of bed like a daisy out of snow. Aria had been working on the latest commission piece almost nonstop though which is what she would chalk the weird pattern of this morning too. She haphazardly placed the clock back into its position as she crawled out of the covers, stretching as soon as she was on the edge of the bed and forcing herself to join the world even if it was tempting to just stay there since she had somehow been lucky enough to avoid Kejirah wake up call, well....at least at her own door.

Her friend though had been blessed with a voice that carries and that was before hearing her harass Damien out of bed in a rather loud way. It was the word Starbucks which ultimately made a decision on what to do with her morning instead of debating with herself. Aria stood, planning on getting ready so she could see about getting in on the run to obtain some sweet sweet coffee but found herself hugging the floor with a hiss as the blankets decided to tangle around her legs causing her to trip. She glared at the offending material, kicking it away before pushing herself up with a huff. She carefully yanked open the bedroom door and leaned against the frame, her gaze meeting with the group gathered in the hallway.

She couldnโ€™t help but chuckle a bit at the sight of Kejirah scooting slowly around Aulora while making up half assed excuses on why she should be allowed to be first. In truth, she did know that Aulora usually took awhile in the bathroom and if they had a thirty minute deadline then maybe it was a bit better to let Kejirah to go first but that was for those two to duke it out. At least, that is what she thought would happen until Didi snagged it for her own without letting the other two have much of a say in the matter. โ€And this situation is exactly why I take my showers at night.โ€Aria teased lightly before slipping back into the room to get ready, simply throwing on a comfy grey T-shirt with faded jeans and a black pair of converse shoes. She didnโ€™t mind if her hair looked like a mess as she would just be placing a helmet on soon anyways and it wouldnโ€™t take long to brush her teeth or whatever once the other ladies and gents were done with the bathroom. Aria snagged her iPod, stuffing a set of headphones in before plopping on the couch with her tunes while waiting for the others to be ready.

Fuck your title names

Bradley sat upright on his bed, for god knows how long. He looked over at his blinds and saw the sun shined, "Aw shit. Here we go again." Said Bradley, mentioning a game he used to play.

He stood, reaching behind him and taking a spliff from his desk and lit it in the lighting in his sweatpants. He put it in his mouth and let it hand as he exited the room. He did intervals of inhaling, then exhaling off of the spliff. He fell onto the couch, and waited for Kejirah to get outside and start to wake up the group. Bradley laid in that awkward position, breathing in and out the smoke. As she did come out, and started to yell towards the room, he overheard what she said and raised his head. " Ooo! Starbucks? I'd like some of that Caro-machiato-double shot- twist- thingy." Bradley said loud enough. He then lowed his head back into the couch and twisted himself into a upright position.

Bradley waited for a few more to wake up and shuffle among the duplex. He looked over towards Aria, removing the spliff from his mouth, holding it with two fingers and offered it to her. Bradley hoped she would take a hit, maybe. Using his free hand, Bradley groaned and took the remote from a spot on the floor and turned on the television.

Crossing her arms as Didi made her way past her and into the bathroom, claiming to have been up first, Kejirah leaned against the wall and dramatically sighed before mumbling, "Well, you didn't sleep, so technically you weren't up first, but it's whatever." She then leaned her head back and shouted, "I'll remember that!" Kejirah groaned and straightened herself up again, knowing that by time she got in the shower, there wasn't going to be any hot water left, though they were lucky to be getting in the shower before her, since she often used up most of the hot water herself.

Seeing Aria chuckle at her competition for first dibs for the shower, Kejirah clicked her tongue and shook her head. "Well, not everyone has that luxury, Aria. Some of us have other things to do, like sleep, but I dunno, just listing stuff," she shrugged, slowly walking back to her room to get ready. "But apparently some of us don't sleep!" Kejirah yelled back toward the bathroom. She was going to say more to Aria, but she had already disappeared back into her room again.
--
Finally after some time, Kejirah had managed to zoom into the shower, making it quick because it had definitely been past 30 minutes. She had heard Bradley call out to her, but she didn't answer back until walking out into the living room, in the middle of putting her hair up. "If you want Starbucks, then you're gonna have to get off your ass and come with, hon. You're gonna have to get it yourself," she then sat down on the couch next to Aria, pulling her feet up amd crossing her legs. "And don't you think it's a bit early for that?" Kejirah asked, but motioned over for Aria for him to hand it to her.

Damien Chattaway

Done with reeling from being woken up so early, Damien stood up from his bed and gingerly walked out to the living room. He was still feeling groggy and didn't appreciate the rude awakening, but he decided to put it aside for now. He supposed he would have to get on with his day at some point. He also faced the fact he was probably going to have to go out to Starbucks before getting all his makeup done. Everyone wanted to use the restroom, Damien included, but he didn't have the energy right now to get tangled up in that mess. He saw that Bradley, Aria, and Kejirah were already in the living room.

"I just want to let you all know that I hate everyone here," he said sweetly, "Oh, except for Aria, Didi, Aulora, Sol and Bradley. You guys are great." He stood near the hallway entrance and casted a glance over his shoulder. "So when are we going? I don't want to wait too much longer." He fiddled with his silver earring.

(Please excuse the plain-ness of this post. Iโ€™m doing this on a tablet...)

Sol was up quite late the night before. He was messing around on an old laptop, running an old version of GarageBand. Hell no he didnโ€™t pay for it. He is too damn poor to pay for the premium instruments they offer in the program.

Waking up in the morning, Sol quietly walked down the stair, giving a half-assed greeting to anyone he would meet along the way. Peering into the fridge, he noticed that he had forgotten to make himself a coffee the night before and therefore he has no coffee in the morning. He doesnโ€™t like hot drinks. He would much rather take them cold. Sighing slightly, he looked around the room, seeing if anyone is up and about...

โ€œDid someone say Starbucks... Can we get going... I need caffeine....โ€ He said, in his usually charming, albeit slightly deeper, voice since he had quite literally just woken up not half an hour ago...

Aria was a bit startled by the movement on the other end of the couch and realized she actually wasnโ€™t alone when she decided to randomly plop down. Heck, she probably would have plopped into Bradleyโ€™s lap by accident had he chosen the wrong side. Fortunately, that hadnโ€™t occurred because she would have been completely embarrassed to have to admit just how much in her own world she had been. The brunette wasnโ€™t really one for smoking but it didnโ€™t mean she hadnโ€™t tried it before and she wasnโ€™t one to turn down an offer, especially when it was so nicely directed at her. Aria pushed herself up, no longer in a lounging position and moved to crawl forward when a body plopped in between them, causing her to readjust again to make room for the woman now sitting cris-cross on the couch.

She delicately pulled on of the headphones from her ear, catching Kejirah saying, "And don't you think it's a bit early for that?" Aria raised an eyebrow, thinking about it for a moment before shrugging softly and stating,โ€Itโ€™s got to be night somewhere and besides, time is an illusion. What one person defines as early could be quite late to another.โ€ It was in that exact moment that Damien decided to enter and sweetly declare,"I just want to let you all know that I hate everyone here," before continuing on to say,"Oh, except for Aria, Didi, Aulora, Sol and Bradley. You guys are great." This caused Aria to split out in a full blown grin, not only because what Damien had said was amusing but because he had also unknowingly just proven her point. She didnโ€™t feel the need to say anything more on that point but she had to agree with Damien that she was ready to get going.

Aria wasnโ€™t really a creature of habit per-say but she did enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning whether it was hot or cold. It was probably the only thing that she did that could be tracked since everything else was usually on a whim which is why she hoped the others would be ready soon. It was then that a thought came to mind, sure, she was planning on taking her bike since there was no way she was getting in a car but what did that mean for everyone else.โ€To add to that question, are you all taking separate cars or car pooling? I am taking my bike either way but I am curious if anyone is going to need a lift.โ€

As soon as Aulora's roommate tried to scoot past her and into the bathroom, Aulora quickly took a few steps over in order to block her path. "I call bullshit," the young woman said after hearing Kejirah's reasoning behind needing to use the bathroom first. "Maybe you should've handled your business before you decided to wake us all up." While Aulora's tone was serious, it was quite evident by her facial expression that she was just messing with the younger woman. She didn't get the chance to hear what else the girl had to say, though, because as soon as those words had left Aulora's mouth, Didi Sabello came strolling from her own bedroom, a towel thrown across her shoulder and a smug look plastered on her face.

"I've been awake the whole night so, technically, I was up first," the young woman said as she strolled towards the bathroom without a care in the world, "Hence I get the honors of using the showers." At that point, Aulora didn't even bother trying to argue with the woman; she simply rolled her eyes, let out a deep breath, and headed back to her bedroom. She figured that since she wouldn't get the amount of time she needed in the bathroom, she may as well attempt to fix her hair and makeup in the small mirror that she had mounted on her wall. It wouldn't be her best work, but after all, they were only going on a Starbucks run.

Thirty minutes later, Aulora was all primped and ready to go; her hair had been freshly flat ironed and her makeup was as decent as she could get it to look within the time frame she was given. The young woman came strolling into the living room right as Damien began to declare just how much he hated "everyone" in the house. Aulora flashed a quick smile at the boy right as he listed off her name as one of the many exceptions. "Love you too, dude." Then, Aria brought up the driving situation, and Aulora was the first to offer up a quick response. "I call shotgun... in the vehicle of whoever decides to drive," the young woman said as she grabbed her jacket from the rack, "I'd offer to drive myself, but you all know how that would go."

Bradley

"Well some faggot took my board, so maybe I might go with who ever's driving," Bradley added, taking back the spliff and inhaled from the butt. He exhaled and got up from the couch, tossing the remote towards Aria, "Speaking of," Bradley said, standing straight and clasping his hands. He took a deep breath, liking the silence, then broke it with a grin, "I'm throwing a rager tonight! It's going to be packed with friends, strangers from the school, hopefully attractive women. Who know,s I might score tonight. I've already got my stash in my closet, just going to check in with you all to see if it works. " He said this in a hole exhale, before walking towards the kitchen to get himself a shot of Reyka he had tucked into the fridge. Leaving the group to their thoughts and emotions about Bradley's sudden party announcement.

He came back, the shot glass on hand, finishing off the splint and flicking it away towards the trash can. Bradley dipped his head back and drank from the shot glass, turning it upside down and setting it on the nearest counter top. "There goes [i] one [/i person who can't drive.". Bradley took one of his sweaters and slung them on. He looked at Satan- that fucking cat! "The fuck you lookin' at?

"Oh don't worry hon, it's definitely mutual," Kejirah shrugged, smirking at Damien and his impatient ass, repositioning herself on the couch to make herself more comfortable, spreading out further as more people made their way into the living room, and in her opinion, rudely demanding to get a move on and leave. She wasn't one for waiting, but being ordered to do something that she was going to do in the first place, whether it was directly said or not, well...it made her just a smidge irritated, but she guessed she could let it slide. For now anyway. But as of now, sugar loaded coffee that could probably severely unbalance her blood sugar levels sounded like an amazing idea because she was a dangerous girl, and dangerous girls do dangerous things, also because it was summer and she honestly didn't give a fuck. Honestly.

Though as soon as Aria and Aulora brought up their mode of transportation, Kejirah quickly stood up and made a dramatic gasping noise, placing a hand on her hip. "I'm actually kind of offended! Like, of course I'm driving, I mean, who else is better suited than me, a responsible, law abiding citizen who obviously drives one mile under the speed limit and not anything above that? Can't think of anyone? Didn't think so. SO, on that note, lemme go grab my keys," the young woman said before quickly walking back to her room, feeling around on her bed for the familiar object as she had to toss up a few pillows before finding them. "FOUND 'EM," she hollered to the group, and while on her way out, she managed to catch something about a party Bradley was going to throw.

Poking her head around the corner just in time, she asked, "Hmm, a party? Attractive women? Count me in, I'm down. And you said it was tonight? Bet. Now I've got somethin' to look forward to." Sitting on the arm of the couch this time, she held up her keys and smiled.

"Y'all bitches ready to go to Starbucks? Oh, and don't disrespect Satan, he's a God, remember that, 'cause he will."

Damien Chattaway

Damien was waiting along with the other impeccable adolescents he was currently dormed with at this time. He wasn't waiting because he wanted too; but simply because there wasn't yet a consensus on who was driving. Now as a man made notable primarily for his vices and what have you, he didn't see much point in getting up so early without reason. What he had overlooked is that there was, in fact, a reason for getting up and leaving, he just hadn't quite seen it yet. He wouldn't be able to appreciate his fellow roommates badgering him to get up until much later, when he had a cold mocha firmly clasped in one hand and was caffeinated enough to string together reasonable logic in that sequestered head space of his.

Another thing Damien felt concerned with at the moment was the fact that without makeup covering every square inch of his face, he felt imperfect, deficient. The fact that he woke up so late was the main reason that he wasn't able to get to the restroom before the others and properly hide his face behind a mask of concealer. This, however, wasn't something that quite crossed his mind, as the general emotional volatility he was experiencing right now (which one could attribute to early morning crankiness) overrode any thought on causation and perspectives. The fact was that he was feeling insecure and didn't like it. It wasn't even that he was exceptionally poor looking (insert an obligatory "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" here) it was just the fact that he deemed himself to be plain without any sort of outrageous accentuation. He thought of himself as an extraordinary character, so he needed a matching extraordinary appearance to match. This incongruence along with other underlying insecurities, was the root of his unhappiness.

He didn't think about how wearing more makeup could possibly contribute to his eroding sense of esteem, only that he was currently feeling bad and the only way (the most direct one, anyways) to remedy this uncomfortable feeling was by lathering layers of foundation, concealer, blush, and fine mascara. In truth, it was only a temporary fix, but as an impetuous creature, Damien was only looking for a temporary solution anyways, so all was well.

"Well then by your definition of law abiding, I would be more than qualified to drive as well," Damien found Kejirah's sense of sarcasm amusing and decided to play along.
"The only problem is that I don't own a car. Otherwise I'd be golden." He folded his arms in front of him and looked off to the side while Kejirah searched for her keys.

Bradley's casual suggestion about throwing a party was what really caught Damien's attention. The opportunity to engage in sanctioned reckless activities was too good to resist. "A party? Well I'm certain you won't mind if I come along," He reached his hand into his pocket, probing for something. However, he couldn't find it, and a dawning realization manifested across his face for a split second before he curtly turned and walked back into his room.

He emerged a few minutes later taking a drag off his vape, seemingly satisfied.
