*nods* I know. And we're communicating better. Its just, he says about 10% of him wants to give up on us so he can try new things. While 90% still wants things to be the same. Its a big difference, but, regardless, I'm worried the little bit will win and I'll lose my husband. If its what he wants, I can't say no, but that doesn't mean I won't break in the process.

Understandable. Self-doubt, not uncommon in a situation like this. I won't lie to you, if he truly wants to leave, he will, depending on how strongly he agrees with that 10% of himself. If he loves you more than he wants to leave, then he'll stay. It really is ultimately up to him to decide. It likely won't be instant, you'll be able to catch things here and there if he's really starting to get serious about leaving. Until that actually happens, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I'm trying to remind him about the little things that made him fall in love with me to begin with, in hopes of helping him do it again. Plus improving on the little things I do that annoy him...

I'm trying to be hopeful. But I'm a woman, my mind wanders and I blow things up to more than what they are.

Cara: my two cents, then I will go back to not commenting on the matter: I dunno. I hope he's trying as hard as you are. One thing I don't like hearing, and don't want to be around, is hearing the tone of a defeatist. But then I don't know the guy,nor do I know the important details of this whole thing, and I'm sure you two are doing what you can. But I just hope this whole thing isn't one-sided.

Don't think of it as taking advantage of my situation, I don't. When someone needs advice from me, I have no problem giving it out, especially if it's something as serious as this. If I can help someone in some way, that's good enough for me.

Mich: I'm pretty sure he's not giving up. It hopefully isn't one sided. But he's just in a spot where he's not sure if he wants to remain in a marriage or split up and live wild. I think its a pretty common reaction to a terminal-ish diagnosis from a doctor. He loves me, he's just not sure he's /in/ love. He's not sure about anything, even about his job, or where he wants to settle... anything. So its not only me.
When we FINALLY (fucking military) get stateside and settle in a house wherever we are sent, I think it will be easier on him to decide. So basically, its just a waiting game for now.

Krin. Really, thank you. You are a huge help. I'd give you a giant hug and cook you a huge feast if I could.

it was joyous.
Except the neighbors dog that picked a fight with mine. I normally don't mind keeping your dog on a leash at all times like the housing laws demand, because I keep Papa unleashed while I'm in the yard with him, but this chick just tosses her dogs out front, and they go chasing anything or one down. I'm tired of it.
