As the bell signalling the end of classes for the day started to ring, Delphine left her last class and stopped to the side of the doorway to contact Alex, letting other students push past her as they made their way out of classrooms and along the hallways. Overall, she was rather pleased with the situation. She had found someone to help her along with her first pair-work project at Silver Valley High, and she was given the opportunity to spend more time with Alex. It was highly likely that he would open up a little more when they were alone together, considering what he had told her before lunch, but then again, the fact that her family owned the restaurant chain that he worked at might stop him from doing so. Basically, she just could not relate to why he would choose to keep to himself all the time, and that intrigued her.

"Hey there love. So, I'll see you at the front gate?" She texted him.

Delphine was still quite unfamiliar with the area around Silver Valley High, as her old school was located on the other side of the city. She figured that Alex would not want to return to Starlight Flavors on his off day, so she would consult him about any other nearby eateries that were conducive for discussions. It would have been great if they could do some walking around so that she could get to know the place better, but she could tell that Alex was a responsible teenager, and a project meeting would mean a project meeting. Still, she was hoping that they would find the time to do a little off-topic chatting.

Alex's phone vibrated in his pocket as he exited his last class of the day. The feeling startled him a little. He was not accustomed to receiving messages, he only really used his phone for games and in case of emergencies. He read the text and smiled a little to himself. He quickly text back.

Sure, see you there.

He wasn't entirely sure what the protocol was for group projects, considering he had never actually done one. He wondered if Delphine would take charge, or if she would expect him to. Where would they meet up for discussions? How would they split the project? What would he do with the extra time he had by not doing all the work himself? He started to get a little dizzy and so took a deep breath. "First thing's first." He whispered to himself as he headed to the school gate.

Delphine had made a few stops on her way out, bumping into classmates and new friends. New students always had a chance to start over with making an impression on their schoolmates, and what had been happening so far told her that she had to be doing something right. She saw her project partner as she approached the gate and gave him a wave.

"So, I was wondering. Do you know any good places for a bite and a discussion? Other than Starlight Flavors, of course. No need to worry about my budget, I'm not on one. Ooh, and if the dessert there's like really great, it'll even by my treat," she finished off with a wink.

She figured it would be safe to suggest going to a nearby public place. She was not going to overstep possible boundaries by asking to go over to his house or inviting him to hers, at least not yet, though those options did cross her mind.
