Oof, how do I even begin? This is an idea I've been trying to make a thing for a long time, and my previous attempts always flopped, due to life being...life, and having to pay bills and get a job and all that awful nonsense, but whatever, you don't care about that. What you do care about though is what this thing is ABOUT!
The Idris Protective Force, you see, is a military. A very big military, containing exactly two point three million troops, all encompassed within a fort the size of New York City. Their mission? To fight off the hordes of demons and other beings attempting to upset the balance of light and dark. Due to being so big, executing missions on a small, but still very important scale, is somewhat difficult. Therefore, the Commander of the force, a man by the name of Isaac, has greenlit the creation of a special task force exclusively for the purposes of nipping potential problems in the bud. They will be composed of people from various walks of life, and even worlds, all who show enormous potential for power.
I'll toss more details into this as I dredge them up from the old trash I wrote in the past. Also some notes. One, I've gotten into FFXIV a ton recently(can you call 2400 hours recent though?) So, expect lots of references to that. At the very least, you'll see races from it(albeit, not exactly adhering to FFXIV lore. I get to exercise some artistic license don't I?) You're also going to see plot twists galore, big beasties, maybe a big robot or two, demons by the dozen, a trap, and maybe even a trip to Dunkin Donuts!(?)
Also, I like to make lore, a lot. When/if the OOC goes up, I'll be putting up a sizeable amount of it, and will of course be expecting any entering characters to adhere to it. I will tell you this right now though. Crazy robotic cyborgs and demons are excluded from the Idris recruitment flyers. Also excluded is godmodders, auto-hitters, people going awol for more than two days from post to post, people getting too kissy kiss with other characters(not to say there won't be romance, but cmon guys lets at least start the first mission!), people killing important npcs or other characters without my/their express permission, and wall-hacks(?). I want to make this an epic journey with everybody, and I feel those are all things that can kinda kill the mood(in the case of romance, I feel like small dollops of it spice up a story, too much just drowns it out. You feel me?)
As I said earlier, I'm still dredging up and creating the lore, so I welcome any assistance, since this'll be as much your story as mine. As the RP goes on, events that occur during it will obviously also become lore, and will be recorded by me of course. This will hold through future mission RPs, even should the characters in said events come to a disastrous end.
I did post this in the Casual section, so I am of course expecting at least one to two paragraphs(although the more is better!) A fundamental understanding of the english language as far as spelling and grammar goes is required. And if at any point a member of the rp struggles with putting together a post, I encourage them to shoot me a PM so I can assist them.
Lastly, I will be beginning the RP with a max of seven characters, four minimum(this is including myself). As the RP(s) go on, I will open more spots in the roster, likely maxing out at twelve.
