It happened in an instant a flash from a book, and the world changing around four individual normal folks from different worlds. As if they were fish pulled into an ocean the three heroes now sit in the middle of a magical ritual circle surrounded by a large group of men. Some of them in priest outfits, other ones in suits of armor carrying weapons from times past of their world. Of course none of them exactly knew what had just happened but for the individuals in the room they were met by a cheer of happiness from the clerics in the room who excitedly congratulated each other. In the hands of the heroes were weapons they hadn't used before. Strange objects: A sword, a spear, a bow, and a shield. Too the more nerdy among the group it was clear that they were now in some sort of isekai scenario, kind of like some of the MMO's they had played before except this time it was clearly real enough as the weapons attached to them felt alien in their hands. And their sight was obscured by a menu of sorts if they focused hard enough.

"I'm so glad it worked! Thank Grand Master Eric for his instruction! Inform the king, and queen immediately that the heroes are here!" a young man in brown robes stated quickly as a soldier nodded, and ran off quickly. The young man spread his arms wide in welcome, and quickly pressed his glasses up his nose. He had messy brown hair, and wasn't particularly handsome. He seemed genuinely happy to see all of them here. "Welcome brave heroes! Welcome to our world! I'm sorry if you did not wish this but we have called you here for good reason. My name is Hans Copper, and I request that you assist us in saving the world!" The boy named Hans stated as he quickly spoke up again before questions arose, "You are the successors of the former Four Great Cardinal Heroes! Heirs to a legacy of great men, and women!"
---
Cole looked around his blade clung to his hand insistently he couldn't seem to let go of his weapon. Not that he'd want to but the initial shock of the area almost made him lose his focus. Heroes? Were the people gathered around him apart of this new group? The last thing he remember...he remembered grabbing a book off a shelf in the library of his college. His eccentric librarian had recommended he look there for something he needed for class. He looked at the golden blade in his hand as the man in front of him talked, and he admired it it was well made, and seemed to fit perfectly in his hand. It was nothing like he felt before but it felt right in his hands as if it was made for him. And judging by the speech it was meant to be his. "I see? I can't say I'm any sort of great hero...nor do I know how I even got chosen out of all the people out there but...I don't see any other way forward. I'll help you if I can." Cole said calmly but somewhat shaken as he still was adjusting to everything here. 'This seems a lot like those dumb cheesy animes Mike watches after class...he'd love it if he were here. Whatever gotta play it cool...if this is really real than I can't loose face.' Cole stated as he waited to hear what the others around him had to say.

"Hmph, what is taking them so long? I'm getting tired of waiting here."

Myrila huffed as she looked around the crowd for what felt like a millionth time. She had been called here by the king himself, and she assumed that the others were the same. It was an official request, so she couldn't just refuse.

Besides, this whole "legendary hero" business certainly had piqued her interest.

Everybody knew about the legend. About how the four heroes saved the world from destruction. And now, the kingdom had decided to call upon them again.

She wasn't told why. But knowing about the rise in the monster threat lately, she got her hands full of them certainly, she could very well guess why.

That this world once again is heading to its destruction. The so-called "waves" are coming.

She couldn't just accept such a fact however. There must be some kind of mistake, she told herself.

But if it were true, and please gods let it not be true, then she would want to fight, even if she wasn't one of the legendary heroes.

That's why she had no problem chosen as being one of the heroes' companions. She got to choose which hero too.

I'm sure all of them would be courageous and honorable so anyone should do.

But still, I would prefer serving the best amongst them to be sure.

She crossed her legs as she stood slouched with her back pushing to the wall behind her. She preferred to keep to herself, especially around strangers. None of the people here really interested her enough for her to start a chat with them.

"Hmm? Is that girl... a demihuman? How rare to see one that is not a slave. And she's actually invited as well?"

She saw a glimpse of her ears under her cloak. And it made her stare at her really closely as her nature attracted her attention.

“Ughh…” Garret lets out a groan as he finds himself landing on the ground. Not that that was unexpected given what he had just done. But… there was one thing that did catch his attention right away. The excruciating pain from being hit by the car seemed to have disappeared. For a moment, he was afraid that he had been crippled, but his arms responding to lift him up dispelled that thought, much to his relief. In rising up however, he noticed that the ground wasn’t the wet road he was just on. Rather, it was dry stone, much to his confusion.

His attention shifted as what looked like a hud interface flashed across his vision as he tried to focus on the strange surroundings. Garret waved his right arm in front of him, which didn’t do much to remove it from his vision. It did seem to clear up as something else caught his attention upon the same arm. Instead of his bare arm, a sliver shield now seems to take up residence there. It seemed pretty simple in its design, with only some black lines and what looked like an emerald smooth gem in the center to adorn it. ‘What in the world? When did this get here?’ His thoughts were snapped as he hears someone speaking in front of him. Even more astounding was how they were dressed. As one of the priests began to speak to them, calling them ‘Brave Heroes’ and mentioning of ‘New World’, he fell sweat drift off his brow as a realization came to him. One that he had seen many times in anime he had seen over the years.

Garret had just been Isekai’d. And via the cliche being hit by a vehicle too. Garret couldn’t tell if that was irony or not.

With a glance to his side, it seems he wasn’t the only one. Three others stood there, looking towards the priest as he speaks. They too seemed to have someone in their hands similar to his shield. ‘Let’s see here… A sword. A spear. And a bow huh?’ They certainly looked like weapons of a hero. Then he looked at the shield on his arm, scratching his head as he looks between it and the others. ‘Wait… is my weapon this shield? Isn’t a shield more like armor or something?’

Seeing as another one of the guys summoned here was asking questions, he figured he may as well. “You say you want us to save the world. What exactly are you needing saving from that you summoned a bunch of strangers like us?”

Griffon sat in the great hall, awaiting the legendary hero's to show up... But he'd been sitting there for quite some time and was growing more bored by the minute. He looked around the room... he'd done it a few times. There were some other adventurers and knights that had come to be the companions of the hero's, but he wasn't really interested in all that. "Hm? A sword? Not very good quality. Looks like the leather is fraying already. Judging by the wear on the steel it can't be more than a few weeks in his possession... he went to a shoddy black smith." He walked around the room, mostly leaning down and inspecting swords and other weapons...

Many of the people there gave him strange looks. Was it his behavior? Or perhaps it was the massive war scythe he carried on his back... A weapon that no one else could wield, though why would they want to. Some here had decent weaponry, though the most interesting so far was a staff wielded by a barely dressed young woman. "Looks high quality." He thought to himself, placing his face rather close to the staffs large crystal. "The craftsmanship's good. Flowers a nice touch." He put his hand on his chin and examined the weapon closer... ignoring the young woman it was attached too. "Hmm. Are these ridges just decorative or was the smith in a rush... Maybe they serve a purpose... personal aesthetic?"

Myrila's thoughts were rudely interrupted when some random man suddenly came up to her and began asking questions about the staff she was wielding. His attention was fully invested on the staff, not even bothering to look at the owner before he began investigating it all over.

W-what, who is this guy?

She was so taken aback that she was late to reply. Only after he spoke and commented about her staff some more that she retaliated. She lifted her staff and pointed it towards him.

"W-who are you? A-and what do you want? Don't you ever heard of private space?" She glared at him. It wouldn't be the first that some creep decided it would be a good idea to flirt with her out of nowhere.

"Hm?" Griffon crossed his arms and tiled his head as the young woman pointed her staff at him. "Ah, the gem's pretty high quality. Was it mined? Did a monster drop it?" He tilted his head the other way, ignoring the woman for now. "Hey." He said, finally looking her way. "How much did you pay for this? Who made it? Do you know where the materials came from?" He had ignored her previous questions... after all, he wasn't really paying much attention to the conversation at hand. He was far more interested in the handiwork that went into crafting this weapon... and what it could do...

...What is wrong with this guy?

She now realized that he was far more interested in her staff than her own personage since he continued asking more and more questions about it.

"Hey, you're some sort of a staff enthusiast or something? I see now that you seem to be only interested in my staff. It's not for sale, by the way, if you're thinking about going that route."

"As for your questions, as you might have expected, this was custom-made, specially ordered and crafted according to my specifications. The gem is a rare teal emerald, a wonderful material that could conduct magic really well. It's a mineral mined from the Earth, I believe, if I remember it correctly."

She paused for a bit, giving the large gem a slight rub with her free right hand.

"As for who made it, his name was Abraham, and he apparently is supposed to be one of the best craftsman in the kingdom. Paid quite the generous sum for him to make it."

Griffon rubbed his chin and pondered for a moment.... Abraham? Do I know that name? Doesn't sound too familiar... He thought to himself, though it's no surprise, despite being an apprentice blacksmith he never really bothered to learn much about the other smiths in the kingdom... he was a bit too focused on his own studies and the creation of his scythe. That's probably why his master kept calling him rock for brains, Or was it because I was so in tune with smith work he called me that? Doesn't really matter much anymore I guess.

"I see."
He spoke to the young woman, rubbed his chin some more. "Teal emerald's are very rare, you must have had a very good smith indeed." He nodded a bit. "Though, I think the design of the staff itself could use a bit of an aesthetic upgrade, but the work is solid, I give it that." He nodded once more. "Oh, My apologies, I never introduced myself!" He grinned a bit.

"I'm the man commonly referred to as The Fifth Hero!"
-He's not- "I've saved countless villages!" -if you don't know how to count, one is countless- "I'm a master smith!" -compared to a newbie- "The names Griffon." -the one true thing he said- He smirked, putting his thumb up to his chest. "Nice to meet you."

"Hmph, I think the aesthetic is just fine," she rejected his opinion with a huff.

When she heard him introduce himself like that, her lips curled into a frown. She clearly didn't appreciate his attempt at... whatever that was. Certainly not humor, she held that opinion.

"If you're going to lie, then I suggest doing a better job at it. If you're trying to make a joke, then don't. Clearly, you're not that talented at it," she told him loud and clear.

She couldn't be bothered to introduce herself in kind. She never was fond of being associated with fools.

“Fu-” as Frederick slams his tailbone against the hard floors. Before Freferick begins to stand he quickly looks for his chair to see if the reason he fell was the fault of him leaning too far back. But as he looks around not only his chair is gone, his desk, lamp, and in fact his entire room is gone. As he is trying to adjust to his new surroundings he notices the bow in his possession I haven’t held a bow in almost 6 years The idea of holding what use to be a cherished hobby in his had warmed his heart a little as he remembered his father taking him hunting as a child. But enough of this why do I have a bow and why am I in … He begins to look around and stand up as he notices some people decorated in some sort of religious garbs and others in knight armour and the 3 next to him who are also holding weapons. It is then at this point he notices the one in the brown robe greeting them

Frederick turns to face the brown robed man directly Frederick followed the old homage if you don’t know where you are to just make yourself look tall and big. The one with blonde hair and a sword seems to be asking some questions then he just says he’ll help. No information there to gain. The one with with the soul patch and the buckler seems to me in the same headspace as me and be wondering what in hell could a bunch of strangers do to help your world when I’m not at the very least am just a teacher who hunted for fun as a kid.

It was at this time the words of the soul patched man hit Frederick, he had come to realize that they were summoned and what that meant. He was no longer in his world, his family and friends he knew were no longer part of his reality. He no longer was a teacher who graded papers and collected antiques on the side. No he was supposed to be a hero now to save their world. As these feelings of dread started to take over Frederick’s mind he let out one last shout to save him from wallowing. “Is there a way to our world?”

OK, she successfully made it in. Elysia roamed around the great hall trying her best to seem inconspicuous. She kept catching herself admiring the interior though. Everything was grander and more beautiful than anything she had ever seen. However, she needed to stay focused. If anyone figured out she wasn't suppose to be here let alone that she was a demi-human it'd probably be over for her. So far though no one seemed to pay much attention to her. They probably thought she had been brought by one of the older adventurers as some sort of trainee. She was walking around lifting a coin or two as she went. She had to be careful. Removing to much weight from their pouches and they'd easily notice. She also wasn't entirely sure how aware of things adventurers were. This was the first real time she had been around any.

Everything was going well until she felt a shiver run down her spine. Over time working with Teacher she had gotten to where she had like a sixth sense for anytime someone got a look at her ears. It was ingrained into her by Teacher to keep her ears out of sight at all times. She knew that the majority of people in this kingdom weren't exactly the friendliest to her kind. Frantically she looked around until her eyes locked onto a woman who was looking right at her. Did she see my ears?! Elysia watched the lady out of the corner of her eyes trying to determine what to do. She seemed to be staying put, so maybe she didn't notice. Just to be safe, Elysia tugged on the front of the hood to try and better cover the top of her head. Unfortunately, by doing so she tugged the back of the cloak up a bit to high and just at the bottom her tail barely poked out so if anyone was looking down at her they had a chance of noticing such.

Elysia was still watching the woman when some guy just walked up to her looking at her staff. She couldn't hear them but it seemed as if they were talking to each other. I need to figure out if she knows. Elysia walked near them trying to figure out what they were talking about. It seemed as if they were just meeting and talking about her staff. She listened to the mans introduction of himself. Huh, if that's true then maybe he has some good coin on him. But if he's that good I can't just do a simple lift. I'd have to switch his coin with something about the same size and weight. She checked her own personal belongings to see if she had anything that may work so she missed out on hearing how all of that nonsense was an obvious lie.

All I have is bread and a rag. That wouldn't work. Either way that lady is looking right at him. If she saw my ears she obviously wouldn't miss me doing a switch if it was in her line of sight. I'll just have to get close to them and wait for a good opening. It'll help me see what that lady knows as well. Elysia thought over her options and decided that acting like a child lost in the beauty of the great hall would be a good way to get in on their conversation.

She turned her back to them and began backing up towards them holding her head high looking at the inside with an awestruck look on her face. She made sure that they could see her face but not her ears and kept backpedaling until she 'bumped' into one of them. She quickly stepped forward and spun around, "Oh, I'm sorry. I was told not to bother anyone but this place is beautiful I kinda just forgot to watch where I was going. Sorry."

Griffon's eye twitched a little as the woman spoke to him... she couldn't know it was fake, He felt insulted... Well it's not as though he really did those things, but he has saved people and he has been on adventures! And he was a damn good blacksmith if he did say so himself, which he mostly did. But that was beside the point, "You should be a bit more polite with others Miss. When someone introduces themselves you're supposed to-" He was cut off however, when a little girl bumped into them. "Oh, I'm sorry. I was told not to bother anyone but this place is beautiful I kinda just forgot to watch where I was going. Sorry."

"Ah. It's no problem."
Griffon sighed and rubbed the back of his head. "Sheesh even little kids huh? I guess the kingdom is pretty desperate... makes me wonder how strong these waves are." He got down to eye level with the little kid before him. "You sure you should be here? It's pretty dangerous." He smiled looking at the little kid before him. "Or did you maybe get lost looking for your parents? I can help you find them if you'd like. My name's Griffon."

Hearing he criticized her of being impolite just made her even madder towards him. "How dare you to say that when you're the one approaching me uninvited. You didn't even bother to ask for my permission before you started to examine my staff. That is far more rude than merely refusing to give one's name to an ill-mannered complete stranger like you," she retorted. It was in her personality to always be frank about such matters, especially when her opponent was someone below her stature.

Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by a cloaked young girl bumping into them. As she apologized, Myrila quickly recognized her as the demi-human girl she noticed earlier.

"Hey you, little girl, wait," she told her with a stern expression. "You're a demihuman, aren't you?"

Elysia looked at the man as he spoke. So, far so good. Sure he thought it was weird for a child to be here but he wasn't going off to tell anyone about her and was talking to her. "I'm Elysia. I am allowed to be here. I'm an adventurer in training and my teacher is here to join with a hero." Any lie was a risk, but so far, despite this guy supposedly being a great adventurer, seemed like he wasn't too bright. How would a lost child end up in this place anyway? Maybe all the talk about adventurers being so amazing was just exaggeration.

She was beginning to think that it would be very easy to get away with this until the lady spoke up. Elysia had the hunch that she might know but she never expected the lady would just blurt it out. Upon hearing the question her eyes had gone wide for a moment and her faux-smile dropped but it didn't last long. She switched to a nervous smile and looked down to the ground, "Umm, I was told not to tell anyone but I don't feel comfortable lying. Uhh, yes I'm a demi-human. I'm not from Melromarc and my teacher told me as long as I was in this country I should try and keep it a secret." Elysia looked up at the lady clasping her hands together. "Please, don't tell anyone. I don't like to believe in prejudice but I've heard scary things about what this country does to my kind." It was certainly dangerous to outright admit to them what she was but trying to deny it could've ended worse. May as well play the sweet innocent girl for now.

@dragonpiece@Spectral "Well I can't say I know everything about this ritual. I am still just an acolyte all things considered. However I know enough about you too answer those questions. First off Mister Shield Hero. It would seem that you are wondering why we choose you? Well we didn't choose you; fate, or the magic of this ritual did. I don't know what your world is like but I can only assume that you have stories about heroes from another world in yours? Its similar to those except the ritual picks at random heroes, and we work with what we have. Only people that are summoned by those rituals we do like this one allow us to get heroes to use those weapons in your hands. The Spear, Sword, Shield and Bow." Hans explained quickly as he turned to the Bow Hero and his face became a bit more serious, "Well you can try killing yourself but that is something I don't recommend. You're here like it or not. The only way to return home is to defeat the waves. The first one hasn't hit yet but it will soon about two weeks if I remember correctly. There will be many of them spread out across god knows how long. You either defeat them, or you die. Its as bad as it sounds but we're also backed into a wall so blame this world if you must but this is your allotted fate. As I said to the Shield Hero, we did not choose you specifically." Hans stated as the spear hero finally spoke up, her voice loud, and very angry.

"What a load of fucking horse shit. Fucking nerds think you can just rip people from their worlds?! What a load of bullshit! From whatever I don't know how to use this stupid pointy stick so I don't got many options in the matter but don't expect me to just help you because I'm some destined 'hero. I expect to be rewarded for my work! You got me? Rin Matsunaga DOESN'T do charity work." growled the spear hero as she slammed the hilt of her spear onto the ground. Hans stepped back slightly and smiled apologetically, "I am in no place to barter. I am not a member of the royal house. The King will see too you if you would follow the guards to your destination." Hans stated as he gestured with his left arm to the door.

Cole sighed, and looked over to the spear hero, he wondered just exactly what life would be like from now on...if what they said was true they had no choice but to fight this war for these people. "Guys if what he is saying is true we have no reason to badger him much more. It would be for the best that we just simply meet with the 'King' of the land. We may as well be blowing smoke if we keep going forward." Cole recommended as he chose to lead the way taking the first steps out towards the door to the hall. The soldiers nodded and moved to escort the Sword Hero. The Spear Hero spit on the floor and glared at the two still near her, "Come on you micro virgins you better not waste my time by arguing. Don't know you pricks but I don't see any options other than meeting this king so come on." Rin Matsunaga growled as she moved forward quickly in a very brisk walk.

Hearing the little girl's response immediately made Myrila feel sorry for her. She very well knew how prejudiced some of the kingdom could be against demihumans. She found it to be a foolish notion herself, judging an entire race of people just from their physical form. She had met more unpleasant humans over demihumans, though that might just be because the latter was rare in this country altogether.

"It's alright, little one," she said as she bent over slightly, resting her hand on the demihuman's shoulder with a smile. "I wouldn't tell if you don't want to. Your secret is safe with me. With us," she added, giving a 'Don't you dare telling' glare towards Griffon.

As the two other heroes start heading towards the stairs, Garret finds himself scratching at the back of his head, sighing at the little information that was given to them. Not to mention the rather… colorful commentary from the spear hero girl. Turning to the older man still standing beside him, he lets out a small sigh before lightly clasping a hand on his shoulder and giving him a small grin. “Well, she seems fun, eh?” Garret says to him, with an obvious bit of sarcasm in his tone. “But anyway, the other two are right in that I think we need to go and see this king. We won’t learn anything else if we stay down here, after all.” Letting go of his shoulder, Garret then too makes for the stairs after their other two.

Thinking back on what the acolyte said about their choosing, he looks to the shield on his arm once more. ‘Was me being summoned truly just a random chance?’ He thinks to himself, tracing a finger along one of the shields edges as he ponders this thought. ‘Or was there more to it?’

So the little one was actually a demi-human huh? That explained why she was here all alone, but it still didn't feel right to make a little girl take place in the waves like this... they were supposed to be incredibly dangerous and it would be better if she could grow up and live a normal life... His thoughts were interrupted by the woman giving him a death glare. "I'm not the one who called her out." He said, slowly standing up and patting his thighs. "Wellp." He folded his arms across his chest. "There's no helping it I guess." He let out a breathe and shook his head. "From this day forward, we'll all be taking part in the waves right? We're here to follow the hero's. As long as you don't prevent me from accomplishing my task, I have no problems with either of you."

Frederick was in shock, although he could potentially return home he would have to fight a wave. He had heard of many stories throughout his studies where people were summoned to a different world to save them from all sorts of catastrophes. But why me? I'm nothing special, sure I know how to use a bow but that's it. Hell I've never even been in a serious fight. What am I supposed to do. How am I suppose to survive? Thoughts began to race Frederick's mind and they were getting worst by the second. He was then suddenly clasped on the shoulder

“Well, she seems fun, eh? But anyway, the other two are right in that I think we need to go and see this king. We won’t learn anything else if we stay down here, after all.”

This got Frederick back into the mindset he needed to be in to deal with this situation. So Frederick chuckled "She seems like if she is a whole load of fun. I'm just wondering what a microvirgin is?" As the man was walking toward the others "My name is Frederick by the way." As I began a quickened pace to catch up to the others.

As the new group of heroes were led through the castle it quickly became clear whatever their own world was like this was nothing like this one. The narrow corridors, and the large open areas that peaked up into a smog free sky with fresh air that reminded even Cole of the wilder parts of his home. It really did seem like technology here was far behind in things...in exchange they had magic...weird. However as the group came into the main section of the castle they were brought into a large opulent throne room facing two large chairs. One of them was empty but a young man with short cut, and well trimmed blonde hair sat on a large red, and gold throne. He had a crown on his head signifying his place as king more than likely. What was more than odd about this particular young king...was well his age. He looked younger than all of the heroes assembled in his mid teens about sixteen years old it would seem.

"Greetings I assume you're the Four Cardinal Heroes? I am King Sanson Vincent Melromarc First of My Name. I am Lord of this country, and am one of the last surviving members of my blood line. Welcome I greet you in the name of this whole continent." King Sanson said as he spoke with a clear, and fearless tone as he looked over the group. Cole looked up towards the king from his spot in the main hall. Rin looked at him with disinterest, and boredom clearly not happy with what this was likely going to entail. More than likely she hated politicians, or their craft, or even both. "Would you mind Introducing yourselves to me brave heroes?" he asked with a smile as Cole introduced himself quickly placing his sword on the floor point to the ground, and hands on the pommel like he saw some of his uncle's old friends do in their DnD games. "Cole Smith I'm from the Country of the United States of America. Age twenty one, and I am a college student studying business, or I was at least." Cole stated professionally as he awaited the next one up. Rin spoke with a brash pride, and a self important stance as she slammed the hilt of her spear on the ground, "Stand in awe of me! I am Captain of the Rough Riders of Kansai! Rin Matsunaga! I'm 18 years old, and the baddest bitch you'll ever know! No gang in my part of Japan even has the sack to even try and fight me! Consider you pissy little demons dead on arrival!" Rin proclaimed loudly as the king gripped his chair a little tightly as Rin gave her proclamation of ability. Either it was fear, or he was internally cringing at the Spear Hero's self importance.

As the other two heroes gave their introduction the King nodded and once again said it was a pleasure to see them. "Now then for why you are here. You see there is an ancient prophecy that was given to us long ago that an apocalyptic event would strike this continent of ours long ago. This prophecy speaks of a series of incursions by monsters from a different world, or land that would seek to destroy everything about this world. It will bring upon us unending fear, and destruction. We have come to call them 'The Waves' in the past similar events have happened that would require the need to summon heroes the same ones who would wield weapons like yours, or possibly even the ones that you're wielding right now. Every country in our world has something called a Dragon Hourglass. These creations of ours can predict the exact, or near exact time of the arrival of the waves. The first wave shall be upon us in two weeks. We have taken it upon ourselves to summon you four. We didn't want to risk summoning you too sooner, or later for it may be disastrous either way. The sands in these hourglasses will triple with each wave, and arguably the danger level of these waves as well. The first is likely to be the easiest but we don't know what to expect. Some said we could get by without summoning you four heroes. However both my wife, and I disagreed and so did Guild Leader of The Colosseum of Zeltoble, Argyle Sundermark, recommended we call you. And he was a man who was said to have been able to take on twenty men at once during his prime." exposited the King as he looked down upon the heroes from his throne. A man in well made finery stepped forward.

"Of course you will not be expected to do this without pay. Melromarc itself intends to reward you handsomely between waves to keep you going, and to give you better lives. If this is an agreeable arrangement I would ask that you all check your statuses." The man said as he told them to take a look at the lower right corner of their vision which if they hadn't noticed before would be a button of a sort that would bring up a menu of their current health, and party options as well as gear, and other assorted things. "That is your status magic, and is exclusive to you all. You may thank your predecessors for allowing us the knowledge of this." the king told the group quickly. "The first order of business is to set out to upgrade those weapons of yours. The Spear Hero's predecessor left behind the knowledge that you may only use the weapons your given. I feel that should be helpful information."

"Lastly if you will please line up in a horizontal line in front of the throne, and please space yourselves." The King said as he gestured to the guards at the door once the heroes did so. A man with silver armor, and a large black bow trapped to his back stepped in front of the heroes. He had graying brown hair, and an eye patch over his left eye. A bunch of wicked claw marks, and scars were shown on his well tanned, almost leathery, skin. His hair was gelled back, and tied into a pony tail. The armor was only a chest piece with a leather protector underneath it, and his legs were similarly garbed. His arms were left open showing off his well toned body, and muscular features. He looked at them with his eye and laughed. "Now listen here heroes, I am Quentin Marcino. Also known as The Tiger's Claw. I am a Sniper, an advanced class. I'll be your pseudo mentor. I'll help you learn what you need to but don't expect me to baby sit you. This is all for my old rival Argyle's sake he would prefer you don't die in the back alley the first day here. You don't want my help then do it yourself I don't care. I'll tell you everything you need to know, and somethings maybe you shouldn't you need to know what to ask I ain't tellin' you without you first having some sorta clue. But don't worry you ain't in this alone." commented Quentin as the door opened, and a large group of adventurers walked in. They had been ushered in by the soldiers outside in the halls while the King had explained the heroes' their duties, and the worlds happenings.

"Brave Heroes these a volunteers from the land who wished to join you on your journey, they are free to join you as you please. Be it they choose your party by choice, or they're convinced into yours you may do as you please. Fear not if you receive additional payments from the kingdom to make up for it. And Quentin of course is here to help you. Volunteers you may choose your heroes now."" King Sanson stated as he held his hand up into the air.
