Name: Orin Goldtunel
Alias: Halfling, Boy
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Species: Tallfellow Halfling
Class: Rouge
Appearance: Orin is short fellow with tan skin that is reddening with the sun and near white hair. His eyes are an emerald green that are clear. Even as a slave he is fairly neat, easy to do when you are down to having just a loin cloth. He is thin and many have passed by him as in the larger world, due to his size and importance in the world. In the world of the bigs, halfling like himself are weak.
In the boards of the wall where he is chained is the face of half-elven girl scratched in from the edge of a stone not beaten and bruised by the slavers. In Orin's drawing, she looks like a princess. Orin has been passing time by throws stones into a ring about the size of a human fist hanging on a wall about four paces away while mindlessly singing a song in Draconic about the birth of a dragon then breaking it chains and rising on the morning air to freedom.
Personality:
Motivation:
Orin is motivated by knowledge, good food, a warm bed, and good friends.
History:
Orin was born in the depths of the Broton Mountains across the sea, years after the Second Dwarven War had ended and they had settled into a Dwarven city which had been abandoned. In the writings that were left by the dwarves, they called it a city. Orin thinks it is more of an outpost as there was no grand hall.
His mother was a healer and his father was a mage and both had studied, with of all things, the humans. Both of them had received their training in what they called a university. They talked about animals the size of twice a man that could carry people and things, horses they were called.
Now Orin was the fourth son in the family. The eldest was going to get the house, the second became part of the guard. The third child was a girl that was following in their mother's footsteps. The forth was learning to be a mage. Then Orin and his little brother. Orin wanted to be a scholar or an artist.
There were two problems that Orin saw with his life. The first is that there was not going to be a lot of opportunity for him within the small community and the second was there were not a lot of girls being born. So he packed a small bag and headed up into the world.
The human free city was no longer free. The university had also been closed. He spent a year in forced servitude. After stealing the keys and freeing the workers for the third time, he was chained and thrown into a ship and taken to the port to be sold as a slave. As he was being loaded, he saw his family in chains. His home had fallen.
The slave masters had taken all of Orin's stuff and clothing because he was trying another mass escape.
