Character image: Haven't found a good image yet, but will keep looking.
Name: Alexander "Alex" King
Age: 24
Gender: Male?
Sexuality: Bi, but with a fairly strong preference for women
Appearance:
Alex is 6'1" and 182 pounds. He has no tattoos, but does have an operation scar on his stomach from having his appendix removed some years back. He's quite fit, and though he does not have a proper six-pack, you can tell he's not far from it.
Alex has shoulder-length dark brown hair, that he keeps in a ponytail.
Alex mainly dresses in outfits like the leftmost picture in the reference (no idea what to call that, and honestly not even sure how to describe it), minus the lone sleeve. If the weather is not warm enough, he either pairs it with a jacket, which he often leaves open, or wears something else entierly. He does have and wear more normal clothes, typically either jeans, a shirt, and a patterned vest, or just jeans, a t, and maybe an open shirt. In unpleasant weather, he prefers just using a long coat but does have regular rainwear for windy, or particularly wet days.
Alex isn't really considered either pretty or not, having looks maybe a bit above average, but not much. His fairly good physique is a big plus for many, however, so he'd probably rate decently on most dating apps.
Personality: Alex is an upbeat guy most of the time. He loves games, particularly physical ones like football and volleyball, but doesn't really care about winning or losing, so long as he doesn't rack up too long of a losing streak. He dislikes when things get too competitive, or when discussions turn too private, which makes him shy away from joining sports teams or clubs, and from party games like truth or dare. He tries to take things at face value, even when he thinks there is a subtext because things are much simpler and more pleasant at the face value level. He hates intrigue and drama, especially in real life, but also in tv shows, books and the like. He tends to shy away from confrontations but will stand up for himself and his friends if needed. He gets a bit more open after a few drinks, but not enough to discuss private matters casually.
Biography:
Alex grew up in the midlands, fairly uneventfully. He did notice, however, that he was different from the others. He never quite felt at home, or comfortable, like something was wrong, somehow. Of course, this is not uncommon for the fragmented, so for a while, he just shrugged it off. But around 12, he noticed that it was not just the fragmented thing that was bothering him, it was more, too. He never felt whole, and felt a constant pull, as if part of him was missing, sure, but there was also a feeling of... Wrongness, about his own body.
It took him a couple of years to figure out and come to terms with, and even more to fully accept, but he realised he was also trans. Which made a lot of sense once he realised it, but also didn't. After all, on TV, most trans men, (or was it trans women? he always got confused by that part.), were very effeminate, and even after transitioning, they were typically the sorta girl to spend hours on their makeup, shopping, clothes and the like, while he himself never really had that. He'd always been a typical boy's boy, loving sports, action films and the like, so if he'd been born a girl, he'd definitely have been a tomboy, especially as a kid. And that was it really, he realised he had, in a way, always seen himself as exactly that, a tomboy.
The realisation didn't really change much for him, however. He decided fairly quickly that transitioning was not for him. He might not feel perfectly at home in his body, and though waking up one day, two inches shorter, with a b-cup and a different set of junk would be a dream come true for him, going through the transition itself seemed to be more trouble than it was worth, especially considering the less than ideal outcome. Besides, he liked having the option to have kids of his own one day, and functioning ovaries wasn't exactly a part of the trans op package deal. In regards to pronouns, he took no issue with being called "him", though he'd certainly not take offence at the opposite either. He does like the ambiguity of "Alex" however, and prefers that to his full name.
In the end, Alex decided to pretty much keep the entire thing to himself, and apart from a few very close friends and his doctor, no one really knows about it at all.
Alex was a fairly clever kid, though nothing special, getting lots of C's and B's, and very rarely an A. He attended a vocational school for electricians but found he quite liked the programming side of things, and, having always wanted to get some form of higher education, he started a bachelor in programming. However, he dropped out after two years because he figured it wasn't quite right for him. After dropping out he instead finished up his vocational schooling and started working as an electrician.
Alex is not really an artistic person, but like to draw simple sketches and doodles from time to time. He's not a huge fan of music, most of the time preferring simple silence, but when he does listen to music, he prefers it either be very vocal focused, or completely instrumental, or at least close to it. His favourite artists are "The Correspondents" "Art Brut" and "Parov Stelar", though he only really likes a couple of songs from each.
Alex plays some video games, mainly fighting and racing games, with his all-time favourites being Mario Cart and Lethal Leauge.
Alex watches some tv, and a fair bit of anime. All-time favourites are Violet Evergarden, Firefly, and Free!
Alex's favourite pass times are all physical though, he loves jogging in the park, playing ball games casually, frisbee golf, and really anything else both social and physical. He used to be into gymnastics but eventually stopped because he was really the only person his age still doing it without being particularly good at it. He knew how to do both front and backflips, but is unsure if he could do either now. He also had a short period where he was into wrestling, but he quickly grew tired of the competitive nature of his local club. These days he gets most his exercise from playing football (the soccer kind), with some colleagues from work, and some really basic weightlifting at home.
Lately, the feeling of being incomplete, that has been present throughout his life, had become increasingly bothersome, and Alex intentionally sought out other fragmented, having met two of them in the hope that they'd be the one. But even after holding hands with one, and doing... more, with the other, there was no sign of a connection. As such, the invitation from the twins was a very welcome surprise.
Other: ★ Alex doesn't really have a favourite colour, but slightly dislikes turquoise, though only to the degree on never buying anything that colour himself. color=f26522
The Helicopter ride up to the estate was both exciting and terrifying. The actual flying was the exciting bit, Alex had always wanted to fly in a helicopter, and the view and overall experience were just as exciting as he'd hoped. The terrifying part was sitting in a helicopter, in his finest outfit, next to people in even finer outfits that probably weren't even their finest, on route to one of the fanciest cocktail parties in the world. Some of the other passengers seemed comfortable with the situation, while others not so much. He knew he very much fell into the latter category. He'd tried starting a conversation with the girl next to him, but he deeply regretted it. They'd exchanged names, her name was Felicia, apparently, but she was clearly very nervous. It might be just the situation, she seemed shy and insecure and their conversation had just petered out into awkward silence. After that, Alex had focused on the view from the helicopter and was deeply looking forward to getting a drink or five.
Once they arrived at the mountaintop, Alex was awestruck, and it seemed even the wealthier guests in the helicopter were stunned, as all conversation in the helicopter stopped. By the time the initial shock was fading, they'd landed, and Alex had to get up, and out of the helicopter, half in a daze. After being searched with surprising efficiency and politeness, better in both ways by miles, compared to the treatment he'd gotten at the airport, he handed his stylish black and green coat, fully revealing his matching green and black robes, trimmed with actual silver (which, while expensive, had been much cheaper than he'd expected, increasing the price of his outfit only by 10% or so), over to one of the servants, and entered the main venue.
Alex seemed to be among the first to get there, as there were only around 15 guests about, most from the helicopter he'd come in. Still stunned by the grandeur of it all, he grabbed a drink of an offered tray absentmindedly, and just took in the scene. The floor was a piece of art, and he almost felt bad walking on it. No doubt it'd not take much of this floor to eclipse his house back home in value. Though there were a few people that, like him, looked uncomfortable, he still felt massively out of place. He'd emptied the first drink before he'd even really noticed. For his second, he tried to sip the champagne, not drink it, but that too went quite quickly. For the third one, I actually managed to do what he knew you were actually supposed to do, pretend to sip at it occasionally, but only really holding the drink in your hand to look fancy.
With a slight buss on, the situation was much more manageable, and people kept flooding into the foyer. Alex struck up conversations with few of them but hadn't had much luck so far, and the entire thing felt very awkward, which was part of the reason he'd struggled to not just get drunk. But he knew it was a bad idea to get actually drunk, at very least this early. He'd not come here to get thrown out for vomiting on a marble floor worth more than his house, after all. Though, the idea seemed tempting.
Around half an hour into the party, Alex finally got a bit lucky, as a fairly pretty woman roughly his age approached him. "Hello, fancy party, almost too fancy, no?" (That's an unused colour, right?) She said, with a clear French accent which probably meant she was speaking English herself, instead of using the translator. "Yea, bit fancier than what I'm used to, that's for sure. I'm Alex, by the way." "Pleased to meet you Alex. My name's Emile Bisset. What iss your last name, Alex?" "Oh, right sorry, umm, my name's Alexander King, but I umm, I usually just go by Alex. Oh, and nice to meet you too Emile. God, I'm making such a fool of myself, aren't I?" "Nono, not at all, it's refreshing, don't worry about it." The last part came in perfect English, which surprised Alex a bit before he realised she must have said that part in french, and the translator had kicked in. "So, umm, what do you do, Emile?" "I am a Doctor, what about you, Alex?" "Oh, I, um, I'm just an electrician. It's not much, but it's honest work." "Oh, a proper working man, always prefer that to paper pushers. Must say I did not expect it though. Your outfit does not exactly scream manual labour." "Haha, well, I'd certainly never wear it to work, that's for sure. Almost wish I'd just come in a suit though, leas then I'd blend in more with the, what do I say, umm, other wage workers? " "Oh, nonsense! You look great. Besides, a 'King' should not wish to fade into the masses, no?" "Hahaha, pretty sure there's plenty folk here that's much closer to being royalty than me, despite the name." So what? You should still-" Whatever Emile was about to say, was interrupted, as an Asian looking woman bumped into her. "Watch where you're going you-" Emile started, but as the two of them locked eyes, she turned silent, and after a few seconds of staring at each other, the two of them embraced each other and started aggressively making out. Since it looked like they'd be at it for a while, Alex said a quiet "See you later, Emile." though he doubted he heard or cared if she did, and walked away, finding a spot to stand that wasn't quite as awkward to stand at. Alex took to sipping his drink again, lost in thought about how it'd be when, if, he reminded himself, he found his soul mate, Like Emile just had.
Alex had just taken the first sip of his fourth drink when the twins made their entrance. And what an entrance it was. Alex was pretty sure he'd not even seen people in movies make one like that. Alex was almost too stunned by it to pay attention to their speech, but managed to pay at least some attention. Once they were done, and the people started talking again, Alex took a deep sip of his drink, and half-whispered "I am so out of place..."
The Heiratha, commonly known to humans as "harpies", are bipedal, humanoid birds. They live high in the peaks of the Iridian mountains, placing their nests and communities in places nearly unreachable by those without the gift of flight. They live mostly as scavengers and hunters, with no agriculture to speak of. Their location has very limited vegetation, forcing them to travel fairly far down the mountain to hunt. There they also gather resources for tools and house building. Their houses are little more than cliffside shacks but still protect well form wind and rain. As weapons, they typically make do with rocks, which they hurl onto their enemies or prey from on high, but they so also use spears and bows, but the materials to make them are hard to come by, the craft of making them time-consuming, and for most situations, a rock dropped from sufficient height is enough, so for hunting they simply don't bother.
Before the war, the Heiratha got most of their clothes, and all their knives and other metal tools by stealing from the nearby human settlements, and from travellers on the roads. As such, these items were very valuable to them, as acquiring them was dangerous and could risk causing the humans sending punitive forces to try to clear out the mountains. When food was short, they also stole livestock and other food from the humans, as the risk of retaliation means little when the alternative is starvation.
Despite all this, the Heiratha are not a stupid, or even uncultured race. They have their own written language, their own traditions and arts. But when survival is the main concern, it is hard to advance. In fact, before the humans expanded into their area, they had agriculture, and even metallurgy, but they were no match for the humans, and within two generations, they were forced to abandon all arable land, and all their mines. This happened centuries ago, before even the three-way war, according to the Heiratha legends, and since then, they have lived their current lives, hiding away in the mountains.
Their location lets them lead relatively safe lives, despite the food shortage. But also isolates them somewhat from the other races. As such, it took several years for the news of the end of the war to reach them. In fact, the event that made them aware of the fact, was when a joint force showed up at their mountains, after one of their raids on one of the human villages where taken as a violation of the Ending pact. Luckily, only a few lives were lost before the confusion was resolved. Once it became clear that the Heiratha had not yet signed the Ending Pact, and that they had only risked raiding the village because of a lack of food, the council decided to cancel the joint attack, and instead provide aid to the Heiratha.
For the first time in time immemorial, the Heiratha were able to leave their mountain homes freely, and without fear for their lives. Despite this, most of them stayed put, centuries of fearing the humans binding them. Agrha'ha'leigough Decreerhaachiii Crchacket, one of the few Heiratha who spoke the common tounge, and one of their most respected elders, was selected as their representative, and along with a few trusted warriors, left to join the council, and represent the Heiratha. For most of them, however, life remained largely unchanged, though with food being much less scarce, more time could be given to learning, and thus, many of the young of the Heiratha learned to speak the common tongue, some even learning how to read and write in it. But even amongst these young ones, fear of the humans is deeply ingrained, and it will probably be many years until they are fully integrated.

Race/Ethnicity/Species: Heiratha
Height: 5'5" when standing normally/crouched (also roughly how tall she would be with normal legs), 6'7" when stretching/standing straight.
Weight: 125 (her bones are lighter than human ones, though this only cuts off ~10-15 pounds, so she is still very light for her height, considering her wings)
Hair Color: Black

Hairstyle: Normally kept in a bun at the back of the head
Eye Color: Yellow
General Body Description: Hands and feet, from elbows and knees, are birdlike, and a pair of long wings extend from the back, just above the hip, but otherwise looks like a normal, if somewhat skinny, human girl.

Picture (link if available): tinyurl.com/y4glst5z (found on google) Personality: Eager to learn, but scared of the others, Quirks: A bit skittish, especially around humans. Often sits like in the picture. Strengths: Can fly. Quite clever. Weaknesses: A bit physically fragile, has not received any proper education before. Doesn't speaks or write the language fully fluently. Domicile: Princeps Aspirations: Wants to prove to herself and the world that the Heiratha are just as capable as the other races, and hopefully one day lead her people. Backstory: She's the grand-daughter of the Heiratha ambassador, both otherwise, she's much like any other Heirathian, and has lived a fairly secluded life, only very occasionally interacting with the other races. This won't be the first time she speaks to a human, but it won't be far of either. Extra Info: She is the first and so far only Heiratha to attend the academy or any other propper school, for that matter.
Leirha walked up to the airship, heart in her throat. She stole a nervous glance behind her, spotting her Grandfather, who game her a reassuring nod. Officially, he was here as one of the representatives of the council, but she'd had a few private words with him. It was nice to have him come to see her before she left, but she was still very nervous. Taking a deep breath, she straightened her posture, and walked forward confidently, though when that earned her several stares, as she was suddenly significantly taller than most in the ground, she quickly, hunched back over, embarrassed.
The flight over was uneventful, though she got a more than a few stares. Once they could see the school, however, she felt her heart race. Several conflicting motions surged, one one hand, it was nice to be in mountains, so much like those back home, at the same time, the airships being able to so easily fly up here, meant her home was much less safe than it had been before. She was along stunned by the school itself. Despite her family arranging for her to see some of the structures of the main races, so she'd not be overwhelmed, she'd not seen anything quite like this before.
The shriek of an eagle, though unlike any she'd heard before, woke her from her stunned state, and she scanned the air, trying to spot the creature, mostly out of habit. Eagle eggs were a delicacy after all, and finding eagles nests had become second nature. Soon she spotted the bird, but realised it was no eagle, but rather one of the phoenixes she'd been taught about. It seemed to be struggling to find a place to land in the crowd. Remembering her grandfather's advice to try to make friends, not only for her own sake but for her people, she steeled herself, then straightened herself, so she stood about the crowd, and beckoned for the bird, offering her shoulder. Just as she locked eyes with the Pheonix, the bell rang.
RP: You Too Can Become A Hero! || My Hero Academia RP
Full Name:Watanabe Yuno
Hero Name: Spice Dragon
Appearance: Yuno is of fairly average weight and height, though he has started to gain some good muscle definition. He has an unassuming and kind-looking face, which is a bit at odds with the persona he wants to build around his hero name. He's almost always smiling slightly, a sort of anti-"resting bitch face".
Age: 15
Class: 1-A
Quirk: Red Pepper Spray When Yuno eats peppers or other spicy food, he gets the temporary ability to breathe fire. The hotter the pepper, the hotter the fire, and the more he eats, the larger flame he can make, and the further he can blow it. Anyone hit by the fire will also find it contains capsaicin, though with most peppers, less of it than normal pepper spray. Getting it in your eyes or lungs still hurt though, and that can happen even if you avoided the fire, though mostly only if you were just out of reach.
It's possible his quirk might let him just do the pepper spray part of his quirk, or at least gain enough skill to stop the flames just before they reach someone, letting just the pepper part (which has slightly longer each), hit his target, but Juno has never really tried, finding the fire part much cooler.
Breathing fire, especially hot fire, does damage to his throat, though it does heal over time.
Strengths: Can breathe fire, making him good short and mid-range.
Weaknesses: He needs to eat very hot peppers to really be a threat, not just a nuisance, and he needs to eat a lot of peppers to get his reach into propper mid-range levels.
Has to physically eat peppers, meaning he has to bring a lot to the fight and needs the time to eat them.
His quirk also gets temporarily less and less effective as he uses it, taking a few days to recover fully, along with his taste buds.
He's bad at eating spicy food.
If he doesn't wear goggles, he can easily get his own pepper breath into his eyes.
Personality: He often complains, but still puts in his best efforts. He's becoming a hero mostly because he finds heroes really cool, especially Endeavour and Double, and wants to be like them. He does also want to help people, but the cool factor is very much the main driving force.
When he makes a blunder, he tends to get over it quite quickly, and he almost never holds a grudge. That's not to say he's an overly positive sort of person, sure he's quite forgivng, both towards himself and others, but his baseline is still closer to grumpy than it is upbeat.
He likes kids quite a lot and has considered becoming a children's entertainer, though it's never been much more than "might be fun to try one-day" type of thing.
He likes to work out, and despite complaining about homework and tests a fair bit, he does well in school.
He hates peppers, or even just raw onions or ginger, as he finds them too spicy and painful to eat, which is a real problem in combination with his quirk.
History/Bio: He's a fairly normal teenage boy.
It was really only in the last year that Yuno decided to actually try to be a hero. It'd always been a dream of his, but he'd always figured it was not for him. But once he was starting to look into which school to apply for, he kept coming back to UA, and eventually decided to go for it. So in the last year of middle school, he put in much more effort in both his classes and in working out than he previously had.
It was also at this point where he started to really train his quirk. A process which he hated, deeply. He's mainly focused on eating many weak peppers, to get larger (and therefore cooler) flames, but has tried to eat some gotter peppers too and really get the temperature going.
Before this, he'd only really used his quirk on accident, such as when his freinds pranked him with spicy food, or when eating nacho pizza with jalapenos, the only spicy food he likes (though the only reason he doesn't feel off the jalapenos is that his mother says it's rude, even if they do make you breathe fire, so he wasn't allowed to). His family, even while trying to get him used to spicy food, has stopped using peppers in their regular cooking, instead using horseradish, black pepper (which is not, in fact, a capsicum pepper), ginger and other similar alternatives as firebreathing by the dinner table is quite inconvenient.
Yuno was honestly a bit surprised he passed the test, as he'd made a mess of it. He felt a bit unlucky, having to deal with robots, as metal was very hard to damage with fire, but that was no excuse for the mess he'd made. At first, he'd been doing quite fine, his standard Jalapeño fire breath seemingly able to at least confuse the sensors of the robots, though not actually harm them. He'd been making fairly good time running away, but then he'd spotted a hostage. The smart thing to do would be to just keep running. But would Endeavour just run away? No, Endeavour would deal with it. Granted, Endeavour's quirk seemed much better than his own, but a Quirk was not everything there was to being a hero!
So, he'd rushed in without a plan, and quickly found himself cornered by three robots. His previous strategy of just breathing a "smokescreen"(or should he say firescreen?) wouldn't work, since he was both flanked, and had to carry the hostage. Furthermore, his mouth was starting to really hurt, even though he'd only been eating Jalapeños, and his stomach was rumbling threateningly. Luckily, his throat was fairly fine, as Jalapeños didn't hurt it much. But he had to so something, or he'd be forced to abandon the hostage. If he ate the ghost pepper he had with him, he might be able to at least take out one of the robots, maybe even two. Then he could just run from the last one. He'd convinced himself to do it, and had already swallowed the pepper, one of the most painful things he'd ever done, when he changed his mind. It was too risky. So instead, he ran into a deadend alley, and used his super hot breath to cut a small hole in the side of one of the buildings, and dived through the hole, just barely evading an attack from the robots.
Once inside, he rushed deeper inside the building, as the robots crashed through the wall, chasing him. His throat really hurt now, his mouth felt like hell on earth, he was sweating and shaking, and his stomach was cramping painfully. Still, he had to save the hostage. By this point, he'd almost forgotten that it was just a test and that the hostage was just a dummy.
Since the robots were now on one side of his, he figured his firescreen trick might work again, so he, very reluctantly, swallowed yet another fistful of Jalapeños, and breathed out a wide wave of fire, even hitting the robots, though doing no damage, then he opened the door leading outside, but dashes round the corner, deeper inside the building, as he stopped spitting fire. Luckily, just according to the plan,, the robot's sensors couldn't track him through the fire, and the basic logic they had for such situations bought his bluff and rushed back outside. Yuno had planned to just hide it out now, but his fire breath had set fire the building, so he was forced to leave after a short while, luckily, there were no robots just outside, and he managed to find a hiding spot. His body had been shaking badly by then, and he'd sat down the hostage, and slid down against the wall himself, after a few seconds, he vomited, the chilli hurting almost as much on the way out as it had on the way in. He'd chocked back tears and straightened himself. He'd made a mess, setting fire to a building, and the fire might even spread. But at least he'd saved the hostage. That's when he looked over the hostage dummy and noticed that it had several scorch marks. He'd even botched saving the hostage.
He'd been taken to see recovery girl after the test, as he'd seemed rather beat up, but she'd decided that he'd recover fine on his own, though she'd given him some pills and a glass of milk to help settle his stomach. He'd been absolutely sure he'd failed. But by seemingly sheer luck, he'd managed to scrape by. He'd apparently gotten a bunch of bonus points for prioritizing the hostage, despite how poor a job he'd done of it, allowing him to pass, albeit with the lowest score in the class.
So it was with mixed feelings he entered the school grounds on the first day. Was he really cut out for this, after all?
Name: Sumiko Quirk name: Quad Core Sumiko's quirk is twofold, the first part is that she can relatively easily connect herself to technology, and meaningfully interact with it. She does need surgery to do so, but her nerves easily connect to tech, and her body does not reject prosthetics. She's used this to install various pieces of tech directly onto her body, most notably, two robot arms on her back, replacements for her two arms, which she lost in a car accident when she was 15, a usb port like plug behind her right ear which she uses to connect to and control her headset and also allowing her to send sound messages through it and a voice synthesiser, a plug by her left ear, which she can use to receive video input, and a universal plug by the sockets for her left arm. She uses the universal socket mostly to connect with tech like computers, though it doesn't let her do anything more than simulate keyboard and mouse input. It does make such inputs much faster for her though. The second part of her quirk, is that her mind works four times in parallel, sort of like a computer, this allows her to work on up to four tasks at once, with the same ease and skill as a normal person fully dedicating themselves to just that thing. She can also work on the same problem four times faster than normal people, either by breaking it up into separate tasks, or by working at it from multiple angles at once. She can be using two of her arms to assemble one of her creations, her universal connector to write an essay, or documentation for the creation her arms are assembling, talking to someone using her headset, while acting like a normal human, frx by playing an online game and chatting with the people she's playing with., all at the same time. All four of her "minds" are fully aware of each other, so if one figures out a part of a problem, the three others can instantly make use of that information.
She also seems to have a strong knack for both programming, robotics, and bio-mechanical engineering, but whether this is an inherent part of her quirk, or just a by product of being able to think fast and study multiple subjects at once is unclear. the picture I drew inspiration from:
