The city was buzzing with the hype for the Meteor Shower forecast for tonight.
The streets were flooded with people, everyone getting everything ready- Making detours from the center to they can get everything set up for the Meteor Ball.
Each hour towards Sunset the city got busier and busier, everyone seemed to leave their house to head into town. There were several centers set up for people to enjoy the showers at several different spots.

The sun slowly started to set, as the sky darkened the stars slowly started to glisten into view. The hours til the meteor fall became minutes...
As the sky fully darkened to a deep black, the stars glistening brightly; the shower started.

It started slowly at first, every five minutes a flash of light would flood through the sky, shooting across the sky, before it got more frequent...

God, he hated these people. They were always so wild- So out there and willing to try and see about the meteors. His eyes glance up at the roof, as he groaned, taking another sip of the beer in his hand.

Nobody believed him. After all, why would they? Aliens? Absolutely ridiculous. Even if he did have all the facts to back it up, he'd given up some time ago on the idea that anyone would even give a crap about his ideas, let alone care about what his studies. So, he turned back to what he was best at. Boozing up and smoking. It wasn't a great thing to do, but to be quite honest, he didn't really care.

Live fast, die young. So when the flashes of light got more frequent, he didn't really seem to pay them any notice. Sitting on his patio with his laptop and a 40 oz., he calmly went through his images as he prepared a rather awful presentation for his friends college assignment.

A boring day.

The shower started to die off after less than an hour, when the sky seemed to darken and settle, everyone started to head home and head to bed.
There was a settled silence over the city now...

A light flickered into view momentarily, zooming fast towards the planet. It broke through the Ozone without effort. It span quickly, lighting up from the flames of entry before it whizzed towards a house.
There was a large flash before it smashed into the ground, the smoke flooding into the air before slowly clearing.

A figure seemed to stir from inside the capsule. The landing shook her from her slumber and she felt the cold air from the outside drift into the air around her.
"Mmm.." She hummed quietly. She opened her slightly glowing Orange eyes, and focused on the outside world for a hazed moment.
