Quiet... that was the worse part, every single time it was always so quiet that one could hear the drop of a pin. For as many people that were moving through the small Delicatessen, no one was talking, their footsteps were even silenced as if their souls had a spell on them. But that was not the case, in fact the truth was that there was plenty of noise on that early autumn morning, but to the thirty one year old Auror he could hear nothing at all while he sat on his hunches before the corpse of the muggle. That was his way, his special gift, his curse, when he entered a crime scene, he did not enter as himself but rather he entered as the villain. They couldn't see it, none of them ever could, not like he could see it, this was a world that was special to him. Cassius took a slow deep breath, closing his eyes ever momentarily he slowly raised from his haunches. Opening them very slowly the room around him started to come alive, the various other Aurors around him disappearing.
The blood on the flow slowly began to flow from the old brown tiled floor moving towards the corpse of the grey haired muggle. The body seemed to come to life coming to its knee's, a large gash across the throat collecting the spilled blood from the floor. From the knee's the body than jerked upright in an unnatural way to a standing position. The arms moved out and and up across the cut on the throat, the blood dripped in reverse from the fingers back into the wound. The hands would than lowered down and the cut would close and the throat would close the wound disappearing. The man would move in reverse back around the counter as shards of glass raised off the floor and reassembled themselves to form a crystal vase on the counter. The vase would tip upright touching the mans shoulder before settling straight on the counter. The man would continue his backwards movement towards the register as Cassius slowly moved backwards himself towards the door of the delicatessen his wand raised up towards the man. Nearing the door he would lower his wand and placed it under his sleeve as he walked backwards out of the front door, the bell would ring in reverse as the door close before him. Finding himself on the sidewalk he closed his eyes again and took another deep breath, opening them slowly once more he stepped forward.
Cassius walked forward and back up the two stone steps to the door of the delicatessen, pushing the door open with his opposite hand he walked into the building as the bell rang against the door. Walking in he let the door close fully behind him as he saw an older man behind the counter, with a smile on his face he would welcome to new comer into his establishment. Cassius would than remove his hand from under he sleeve and point it at the man behind the counter. With a swish the man would suddenly find himself unable to control his own movement, Cassius moved up towards the counter his wand raised moving the man down the side of the counter haphazardly. The man would hit his shoulder into the crystal vase knocking it to the floor shattering it completely. Making his way around the counter the man stood five free from Cassius, with another swish of his wand, a decisive horizontal slash through the air, the mans throat open from side to side. His eyes would widen in shock as he would raise his hands up now free to move and grab his throat, the blood would drop through his fingers. Than his life leaving him he would fall to his knee's, his arms dropping to his sides his body would fall forward and hit the ground as blood pooled from his opened throat forming a puddle beneath him.
Letting his wand drop down a nasty smirk would settle on Cassius's face before replacing his wand and casually walking to the door of the shop disappearing back outside into greater London leaving the older man to slowly die on the floor. Walking forward to the body he would slowly bend back down to his haunches, back to his original starting position, the silent world around him would begin to to grow louder and before long he could hear the other Aurors working in the background. Looking up he saw a pair of trainee Aurors eyeing him with uncertainty betrayed in their eyes, his movements throughout the crime scene no doubt their source of confusion. He said nothing though turning his attention back to the muggle that lay on the ground. Reaching forward he placed his hand on the mans shoulder and his other on his thigh and turned him over onto his back. Cassius saw the vacant stare of one who had passed beyond looking through him and to the ceiling, reaching forward he would unbutton the older mans shirt down the front of the chest revealing the aged dull white skin beneath to reveal what he was searching for.
On the center of the chest was marking that to an untrained eye would merely appear to be a birthmark. Cassius knew better though, the mark of the blood curse, a mark that only appears after death. "I was hoping not to see that" an Albanian accented voice spoke suddenly from behind Cassius. "I hoped that myself, but you know better than anyone what hope gets you in this job." Cassius spoke simply without turning to face the red haired man. Cassius reached his hand out and placed his hand over the mans still half open eyes and moved it down closing his eyes to the world for the final time. Cassius sighed deeply pulling his fingers through his short brown hair raising himself to back to his feet. There was not much else they would learn here, all that was left now was to get this place cleaned up. Looking outside the shops front window, muggles were walking by casually in their own little world, unaware that the shop front with the closed sign in the window was in fact not empty as the spell suggested but full of wizards and a dead man. "Did he have any family?" Cassius asked the question not taking his eyes of the muggles outside going on with their daily lives.
"No, his wife passed on five years ago and they had no children." That at least was small comfort, horrible as that seemed, when a muggle is killed by magic folk, it turns into a complicated matter. Often times they would be the ones to notify the next of kin, and they would usually have to lie to them to shield them from the world, that to them, did not exist. It seemed simple enough, but when you look them in the eye and you see them break down, no matter solid you are, your heart does go out to them, and you want them to know the truth because it is a insult to their loved ones memory. That is just the reality though, one that you had to live with when it came to deaths like these. "All right, have them sweep the building one more time just in case there is anything missed. Than transport the body back to the Ministry. I am going to return to the department and update Mr. Potter." The red head gave a knowing nod to Cassius as he motioned a couple of the other Auror's over giving them the orders. Cassius pulled his wand to apparate as the red head said one more thing just before: "I saw the new arrivals this morning, I suppose one of them will be your new partner. Try to give them a chance, will ya?" Cassius grunted as he raised his wand speaking one last time before disappearing in a loud snap: "No promises."
Hello there!
Welcome to my first 1x1 interest check, cue the inspirational music! Than again... scratch that, too much work. Any who, if your reading this than hopefully your interested in joining me on this new magical adventure. First and foremost this will be taking place in the Harry Potter universe, secondly, while it will have the original characters in it, this will be an OC oriented RP.Meaning the OG characters mainly take a backseat to our story. The current story is taking place in the current year of 2019, so it will be a modern day setting. Now what I have in mind here is not just simply a one shot story, my hopes for this is that this can be a continuing story with different arcs/chapters, new villians, new situations, basically a continuous story that goes as long as we can keep it going. That said the main pairing for this roleplay will be Auror x Auror and it plays out like this. You are a new transfer to the Ministry, you come from M.A.C.U.S.A which is located in the United States, you were hand selected among a group of other talented Aurors to come join the Ministry. Secretly, unknown to you, one of you will be joining a specialized unit known as the Hit Wizards. A unit that specializes in the worst of the worst, the Marines of the Wizarding world, incredibly talented individuals who takes the most dangerous work. Your character along with the other transfers will undergo a set of special tests where in the one who does the best will become my characters new partner.
Now I am looking for a male or a female, either or can work for this story. I am looking for someone who is willing to put in work on this story and stick with it. I really don't want someone who will just quit out of nowhere or just disappear on me. I really want someone who is willing to not only play a part in the story but to also make it their own, add to it, not just follow my lead and make this the great story I know it can be. If this happens to be you than please PM me and we can discuss the story further. Please do click the link in my signature if you want to get to know a bit more about me and who I am when it comes to roleplaying, get an idea about who you will be roleplaying with before you commit. Thanks for reading, hope to hear from you soon!
