Short description of the Jedi.
Orange skinned Togruta female with white and gray striped montrals and headtails. Athletic in build and maintains a high level of fitness as a Jedi Padawan. Her eyes are a deep orange that can appear gold in the right light. She doesn't smile as much as she used to when she was an Initiate, few can remember the last time they heard her laugh. Nyx is most often clothed in the robes of a Jedi Padawan, although she is noted to be fond of unusual outfits. Dresses, jumpsuits, etc, depending on the setting and circumstances.

Simplified report on other known skills and estimated levels, including lightsaber training.
She is intermediately skilled with a single lightsaber trained in Djem So by both Masters Orgus Din to survive in the lower levels of Coruscant and by Sinjyn Geord, himself a noted master of the form during the war. She is well versed in Shii-Cho and Makashi on a basic level. Though she has not been a Padawan for long, her experience on Coruscant has her ahead of where most Padawans are with lightsaber skill in this stage of training though she is no natural duelist.
Quick report on political influence, associates and rivals.
Gilsah Iri - Former fellow Initiate of the Jedi Order. Gilsah was taken by a violent swoop gang on Coruscant not long after the sacking of the planet by the Sith. Though Master Orgus Din and she were able to find Gilsah, the girl felt she was more secure with the swoop gang than with the Jedi survivors. Marei nearly refused to leave Gilsah, resulting in a combat that would leave Gilsah wounded and more than a few gang members dead. Marei would later meet Gilsah again, after the swoop gang dissolved and it's remaining members joining with the Justicars as vigilantes.
Gilsah would fight Marei in single combat as a young Justicar. Marei would win the fight, but Gilsah would swear revenge.
Has several contacts within organized crime because of contacts she developed with Master Orgus Din in the lower levels of Coruscant. Has a few contacts inside law enforcement.
Psychological evaluation of Jedi Order member.
List and description of known and suspected flaws. To be put into restricted database.
She is where she should be on her skills at this level in training, but she simply meets expectations on many physical talents despite her dedication to physical training.
As is sometimes the case with those with unusual natural talents, she cannot always control her knack for Force Illusions.
She was introduced to the dark underbelly of society the day Coruscant fell. She has endured a Master losing faith in the Jedi Order. She has witnessed some real, true, darkness. How has so much darkness at such a young age influenced her? A concern.
Major achievements and failures on record.
Survived the Sack of Coruscant.
Helped lead her clan of Initiates to survive the aftermath of the Sacking long enough for Master Orgus Din to find them; in part by creating a large illusion with the Force.
Was unable to prevent her Master from losing Faith in the Jedi Code. Was able to talk him into returning himself to the Jedi Council.
Constructed her own orange bladed lightsaber; a hilt with a very slight curve in it's design.

We got a new batch of Temple survivors today. These were the Initiates who were visiting Coruscant Security Force regional headquarters when Malgus made his attack. It was no an easy story to hear the young Jedi tell: the chaos after the Sith attack, being hunted, hiding in the undercity only to be persecuted and blamed for the ills of war by the undercity natives. At one point a gang threatens the hiding group, only for one of them, Marei Nyx, to scare the angry mob off with an impressive illusion of many other Jedi suddenly coming out of the abandoned warehouse the young Jedi were holed up in.
The theatrics got the attention of others in the lower levels of the capital, including Master Orgus Din. According to Din of the group of Initiates that Zakka Anyana and Marei Nyx were the most impressive. Both kept their heads despite having to witness and survive everything from riots to assassins to dirty security services and much more. Master Orgus Din and Marei Nyx assisted several criminal organizations off one another throughout their time to supply the survivors of Coruscant and defend the lower levels from any one organization becoming too large.
Master Orgus Din has admitted their actions likely only helped the group known as the Black Sun expand on the planet, and that he had to leave Marei Nyx in the company of criminals (and criminals alone) for far longer than he would have liked. Despite this the young Jedi seems to have weathered the bad company well enough, despite some extreme moments in their company. She did admit to me that she made some friends in the ruins of the lower levels. She would like to return and assist with the rebuilding efforts. I have declined the request; it would do her good to get away from Coruscant and heal and reflect so that she can began again on her path. End Grand Master supplemental log."
"Start log. Day 2, Week 3, Month 5. 6 ATC.
The Jedi High Council has been informed of Master Sinjyn Geord's self-exile. His Padawan, Marei Nyx, has been returned to Tython for questioning and reassignment. Of Sinjyn I know not what to say: I understand his path. The Jedi Code has it's failings, as does any Code, and the reports of Sinjyn's erratic behavior has worried us for the last few years. We almost didn't allow him to take on a Padawan, but that it was Marei Nyx certainly helped ease the decision. Despite her own past trauma she had processed it and moved forward. Mature past her years and emotionally tough, if distant.
They were both tough exteriors and nothing but Light on the inside. We thought in each other they would find a common bond. For a while, according to both, they seemed to. Padawan Nyx tells us of her Master going on long diatribes about how lost the Jedi had become, how the Sacking of Coruscant was the fault of every Master in the Order, of his regrets from the war. She reported night terrors, she reported sensing small disturbances in the Force around the man. He spoke highly of her, though the longer he talked the more critical he got. By the end of it he appraised her as full of promise, but just as full of vanity and ego.
Seconds after he said this he stared off. I tried to snap him out of it. I said his name once, twice. Louder, and louder still. Only then did he look at him. Instantly he admitted he failed her, as he broke down in front of me in my quarters, asking my forgiveness. The war had exposed him, he said, that he was falling to the Dark Side. Though we have not informed the Padawan, the Council and I agreed to severe his connection to the Force and exile him from Tython and the Order as a whole. He was a gifted healer, and there were few better with animals than he. His dueling had sharpened to true master levels with all the fighting he saw during the war...but it was that fighting, that war, that lead him so far from the Light. The Order will miss who he was, we can only hope for who he will become, that he may one day return to us.
As for Padawan Nyx...we have tested her extensively. Coruscant was no one-off trick, the girl has a talent for illusions and the connection between mind and Force. As far as we can tell she was a good Padawan, even an extra ordinarily good Padawan for dealing with her former Master's growing darkness and being a big reason he returned himself to the Jedi Council on Tython for guidance, while still achieving their missions together.
What do we do with a Masterless Padawan? Maybe it's time to let her help with Coruscant. Maybe she will get a Master that will be much better for her than her last. Time will tell. End Grand Master supplemental log."
