THE GRIFFIN RIDERS OF WESTEROS
Centuries before the Dragonriders of Old Valyria united Westeros under one banner, they were splintered and fragmented. Numerous large and small Petty Kingdoms alike claimed vast lands across the continent. All were first men who worshipped old trees and whispering winds. It wasn't until the Andals came over with their true gods and civilized technologies that the Kingdoms finally begun to take shape.
A large Andal fleet now sailed into the mouth of the blackwater. A large swathe of land sat unpopulated, according to scouting reports. A true and promising new start for the fleeing refugees of Andalos. The first ship landed and boots fell heavy into the wet sand as men hopped from the boat with ropes to pull it onto the beach. Another leapt out from the ship, but carried no rope.
Instead, his hands were free as he climbed the shore line to lay eyes on the vast green fields that lay before him on both sides of the wide, winding river. This would be a good sport to begin laying the foundations of, not only their new city, but their new kingdom. The Lord knelt down and grabbed a handful of fertile soul, letting it spill through his fingers. He had a red and white shield emblazoned on his shoulders, parted by two opposing Griffins. On his chest was fastened a golden trinket in the shape of a hand, a signet of his office.
A dark shadow passed overhead, causing the Lord to look up. Dark wings spread wide across the blue sky as a large eagle soared past. A large eagle, with the body and hind legs of a lion. The Hand smiled as the large creature fell from the sky in a dive, and landed before him with a ground shaking thud. The behemoth beast stood proud and elegant. And atop it's black feathers sat a warrior clad in armor. "Lord Connington," the warrior called down. "What are your thoughts on our new home?"
Connington smiled up at his King. "We will be able to forge a massive Kingdom this continent has never dreamed of, your grace. And you will bring these savages the blessings of the Seven."
So, this is the story I am currently craving. It will be a massive, plot heavy story set centuries before the story of A Game of Thrones takes place. Westeros is splintered into many petty Kingdoms with no strong Houses holding a majority of power over the others, though the main Houses will of course be prevalent and strong in their own rights.
This is a roleplay that will be plot and story heavy, but I of course really enjoy adult themes, romance, and smut. So if that is not your thing, no hard feelings of course, but we won't make good partners. Please be over 18 and please be prepared to write lots of smut as well as heavy story.
So with this story we will explore the formation and growth of the new Andal kingdom at the mouth of the Blackwater Bay centuries before it became seat to the Dragon Conquerer. We will also introduce Griffin riders and Demigriff Knights. Through warfare, diplomacy and intrigue, our characters will forget a grand empire.
Speaking of characters, I am willing to play any gender, though I would prefer to play the Male King of this story. And his lineage. I intend for this to be long-term and as it is a Song of Ice and Fire story I am prepared to kill my character at a point I feel benefits the story. And play as his heir.
For romance pairings, I am okay with any combination. MxM, MxF, MxMtF. Totally open to whatever.
And please have a deep knowledge of ASoIaF lore, or at least be prepared to read the wiki and Google any and all lore pertaining to the current houses and topics we are discussing in the roleplay. I am not crazy picky over needing to know every bit of lore in the story, especially since it is our own alt-history. But I do appreciate for my partner to at least grasp the basics of the geography and layout of the castles and houses of Westeros. It is quite immersion breaking when you don't.
So if any of this interests you and you would like to discuss this prompt further, please message me in a PM. Thank you.
