MsMorningstar's 1x1 Interest Check! [UPDATED 2/08/20]

Welcome to my 1x1 interest check! Before we can begin writing together, there are a few things to go over. Let's get into it.



Hello! I'm MsMorningstar, but you can call me what you'd like. I joined the Guild about four months ago, but I've been RPing on and off for about six years. I'm trying to stick with it this time around, and hope to find some partners that'll keep me happy here. I'm based in the Western United States, meaning I'm on Pacific Standard time. I'm a college student with a part-time job, but since I take my college courses online I'm on the Guild most afternoons. I can usually respond to my partners once a day, but there will be times when I can't get a response written up for a week. Not because I'm uninterested -though, if I am I'll tell you- but because life gets busy sometimes. If I know that I'll be busy, I'll make sure to tell you. Now, onto the next section!



I know, rules are boring and they're usually all very similar, however, I just want to lay down a foundation for our future 1x1.
Be 18+: I'm over the age of eighteen, so I'd like my partner to be as well. I'm also a fan of writing out dark themes, but if you're not interested in that please just tell me and I won't push you to write it out.
Write In The Third Person POV: I prefer writing in the third person POV. It's a personal preference because I find it a lot easier to read. If you insist on writing in a different POV, then maybe you can convince me.
Write Passionately: If you're forcing yourself to respond, then take a break or drop me entirely. I'll do my best not to flop, but if you find my writing lackluster please tell me. I enjoy constructive criticism.

Disclaimer: These plots are going to be pretty basic, as I'd like to develop them with my partner!
Muse A returns to their hometown for a week/month due to a family tragedy/high school reunion. While back in town, they stumble across their old friend, Muse B. We'll be writing about their time together. 

Many things can happen in this plot. Hell, we can even turn this into a murder mystery.


Two high school seniors enjoy their final summer together before going their separate ways and experiencing the world.

Again, very open-ended. I'm sure we can make this fun, though!


In a world of magic and politics, mage families are always trying to one-up each other. They do this by developing new types of magic, as well as making political alliances for the greater good. Our characters can be older generation mages who are part of different clans and constantly trying to defeat each other, they can be two mages who are used as pawns in an arranged marriage, or they can be part of their own clan who wishes to stay out of the political realm. The possibilities are endless here! 

Of course, I'd also love to do this plot without the magical aspect.


Muse A is a mental patient. Muse B has been assigned to them as a caretaker, and each day they come in to check on Muse A, they find themselves lured in by their madness. Will Muse B succumb?

This plot can have fantastical elements. For instance, Muse A could be a siren of sorts who ended up in the mental hospital somehow. Lots of possibilities.


A chatroom scenario where we'd play as two people who hop online each day to chat. We can talk about events going on IRL, or make up different scenes just for some drama. Play a character or be yourself! We can even do this on discord, to make it easier and more realistic.


A school for failures. That was the unspoken tagline for _______ Academy. Despite the student body being comprised entirely of formerly troubled youth, this Academy has become recognized over the past few years for its surprising track record of rehabilitation and success stories. 

Our story can follow two students who are resisting the Academy's methods, two students who are learning to cope with their pasts, or any other archetype. The academy can have some unsavory methods of teaching, or it can be a genuine place where people send their kids as a last resort before jail.
