Hello people, as said in the title I am brand new on this site, though I'm not a newbie when it comes to roleplay. I've been playing with friends for a good few years now, mainly with homebrew systems, as well as some D&D 5th edition and Legend of the Five Rings. I'm interested in text-based stuff and I've been curious about trying it. I spend an awful lot of time creating worlds or pieces of worlds, so I thought I might as well give it a try.

I'm more interested in dark and gritty realism, which is one of the reasons why I'm a huge Warhammer Fantasy and 40k fan, but I'm not necessarily interested in only grimdark stuff. I can do just fine with more light-hearted fantasy stuff, though omnipresent magic and unexplained crazy tech everywhere (in the case of sci-fi) is not my cup of tea. I also have a soft spot for steampunk and dieselpunk imagery and technology.

All in all, I'm here for exploring, digging around and hopefully finding some gold in the sand. See you around!

Thanks for the welcome. I've started snooping around in the nation roleplay section, I think I've already found my rabbit hole from which I'll never escape again. I have plenty of time on my hands anyway, since I'll be stuck at home for a good while.
