Yoko, while small as hell, carries one impressive ass aura around herself. She's around four-nine but she makes up for it by having one hell of a bite and a bark. She constantly gives off the aura of resting bitch face and makes herself hard to approach as possible. One probably wouldn't approach her anyway given her horrendous body odor and the fact that she's very unladylike. Now to get to the meat: yes, Yoko is East-Asian, pureblooded Japanese. Her skin is a golden yellowish tone, her eyes are slanted, and her hair is pretty straight (and also a black color). Back onto her traits; yes, Yoko is a tomboy and a humongous one. Her black hair is cut short into a pseudo-pixie cut, she usually wears dresses or anything, and she's very well built. Seriously, she goes to the gym and works out in her spare time so she's very very cut. Her attire covers up her body well given that she usually wears clothes a few sizes too big... and is very unfashionable. Though, she hides a bust of around 38H behind all of her heavy clothing, except no butt.

"Oi!"
▼ | PERSONALITY : |
Confident but also an enormous pain in the ass. Due to years of living out in a rural place with no one around her but a bunch of men and boys... her personality matches it. Yoko is a loud, rude, outspoken young girl that isn't afraid to mince words. That's because of the way she is, she's innately impatient. She wants to get to the point and has no time dancing around subjects. Unfortunately, this can earn her the ire of the people around her and unfortunately for them: she doesn't give a shit. She's very passionate and kind, however, and interactions with her will show that, despite her confidence, she is very humble. She likes and breathes self-improvement and loves her family no matter what.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Bōjutsu A skill her grandfather taught her as he was a master at the staff. Not exactly something that Yoko can use in a fight, but it's something she's passionate about.
Cook Yoko was taught by her mom how to cook and she also works as a cook in her family restaurant.
Trilingual Yoko is fluent in Japanese (naturally), English, and French, due to attending an international school.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Yoko was born in very rural Japan. It was a very strange place, but it was at home. It was a special kind of rustic that Yoko pines for, but moving on. The Hatanaka family was a simple one: there was a wife, a husband, a daughter, and a son. Yoko was the daughter. Given that it was rural Japan, technology and other stuff were a rare commodity so she went playing outside along with her brother, Goro. Goro and Yoko were two of the closet friends out there! They had all sorts of fun, but death struck the Hatanaka family when their mother died of cancer. That was the first major change in their life which lead her to be super close with her older brother. He was into sports and working out, so Yoko joined him and also had a heavy presence of her grandfather in her life. So... in other words: Yoko didn't have a whole lot of ladies in her life. Which lead to her taking after the men in her life - not that was a bad thing but it was rather unusual.
Yoko went to a normal school out in their small town - but eventually, their father and grandfather had other bigger ideas. They felt like Yoko and Goro wouldn't get the education they wanted out in the sticks, so her father arranged for her to attend an international school. The Bordeaux International School in France. Once they were both of age they were shipped there. France was definitely a change of pace but Yoko learned excellent skills there, and she also picked up on English and French while in the international school.
However, she met her best friend there... the first female friend she ever had: Nakamura Aiko. The two were quite alike... both were Japanese tomboys that were shunted to France. Except, Aiko was from Los Angeles and Yoko was from Japan. Despite that minor difference Yoko and Aiko became the two best of friends and they shared their common interests. They both graduated school and went home... which for Yoko ended up being Los Angeles, which was where their friendship continued.
They lived on completely separate ends of the city but they would still make time for each other. Yoko went to University in LA while also working at a Japanese restaurant her aunt worked at. However, there was an incident that changed everything for Yoko, Aiko, and Goro. Yoko finally met Aiko's family and after some chatting, she realized that there was some bad blood between the Hatanakas and the Nakamura's (Or at least that's what Aiko told her). They forbade Yoko from ever seeing Aiko again and never to come near them. However, Yoko had nary a clue as to why... nor a plan to follow the Nakamura's wishes because screw them.
The two talked however they could and eventually they met in person. That was where things fell apart... Aiko made a confession to Yoko that shook up their entire dynamic. Things didn't go as planned and Aiko underwent an explosive Manifestation-Event... which in term also caused Goro and Yoko to manifest their powers as well. Except, Goro was injured during the chaos and ended up in a coma - while Aiko fled into the night being chased by FAMA. She got away but Yoko vowed to get Aiko to pay for her actions... in blood if she has to. Thus has been tracking Aiko down... except for the fact that her power is a pain in the tits. In fact, she wondered how in the hell she became a Deltahuman in the first place? Unless Goro or Aiko were exposed to the energies she had no clue because she never even seen a crystal.
Nonetheless, Yoko has been searching for Aiko... except until the incident occurred and LA got destroyed. Now her new goals are survival at any cost and trying to protect her family in the chaos. Maybe finding that bitch Aiko.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Yoko's arc could involve Aiko and the antics that she's up to at the moment. It could also involve her family as well and her brother in a coma.

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Chromatic (Yellow & Red)
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : | Wyvern-Transformation.
Yoko was exposed to both the type-yellow and type-red energies and she is thus a chromatic-type Metahuman. She is, primarily a type-yellow with her ability allowing her to transform into a completely different form. Yoko doesn't have control over this ability, but when her emotions are elevated, or sometimes at complete random, she will trigger a transformation into a powerful two-winged, two-legged dragon-like creature. This isn't an instant transformation, it's a gradual transformation that means that she'll change over time. She'll start a wyvern no bigger than herself and she could get enormous, the largest size that Yoko has reached was the body of a minivan and wings that are thirty-feet long. This means that the longer that Yoko is transformed, the more powerful that she'll become. Her skin will be covered in durable scales that make it tough for blades to slice her and can only be impaled with significant force, and her bones will become a lot more durable. Naturally, Yoko will be capable of flight the second that she develops wings with massively strong wings, and the rest of her body will be incredibly strong being able to toss people around with ease with raw bestial strength. Yoko will get the ability of a super sense of smell... like a snake she can taste the air for scents and use that to track her targets. Her hearing will also increase to the point where she can hear a needle drop. Yoko will be one powerhouse on the battlefield if she gets to that point.
Minor-Pyrokinesis.
If I were to divide Yoko's power into percentages, her wyvern ability is 85% of her ability, with pyrokinesis being the remaining 15%. Yoko, even in human form, is capable of producing flames, though while human her flames are incredibly weak being able to create a baseball-sized fireball at most. However when Yoko transforms her ability to produce flames scales with her wyvern form (and it changes to mere firebreathing). She'll be able to fire a jet of flames like a flamethrower and be able to shoot massive fireballs that'll scorch people on contact. Her body, in wyvern form, is a lot more resistant to fire than her human form.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
As stated before it's not exactly an ability that Yoko has control over. When she gets a bit too stressed or emotional, she'll trigger a transformation. This can be inconvenient depending on what she's doing and she could transform into her wyvern form at an inconvenient time. Now, as for the transformation itself: it ain't a pleasant one. To put it bluntly: It fucking hurts. Imagine some external force forcing your skeleton to adjust to that of a dragon? It'll sting like a bitch and Yoko will be bleeding a ton. Now as for the Wyvern form itself, it starts weak but gets stronger and it'd probably be easier to just kill Yoko when she first transforms because she'll be weakened. As it gets bigger she well; gets bigger. She becomes a bigger and harder target to shoot along with her speed going down. Along with the fact that her mental processes will slow down and become more bestial. She'll go off instinct and less of sense the further into the transformation she is and will have a harder time controlling herself. If her transformation is emotional enough; then she'll end up being a mindless beast. Now, in her wyvern form, she'll reach a point where she's more or less immune to fire. Only in her wyvern form, however. In her human form, she's still vulnerable to it like everyone else and will try not to use her pyrokinesis. In her wyvern form, her vision will gradually decrease the stronger she gets until she has no choice but to rely on her hearing and sense of smell. Unfortunately, that can play against her with extreme sensory attacks. If she's incapacitated or she calms down she'll revert to human form, unconscious. And naked. That'd suck too.

Jack thinks of himself as a smooth pretty boy, and he acts like it, too. Usually, he has a coy smile on his face as he projects confidence with every step. Though, he usually keeps a cool and casual demeanor around himself that he always constantly contradicts by acting loud, excitable, and flippant. Jack is concerned with keeping up appearances and the one image that he wants to project is the "edgy guy" aura. Jack Stauber takes a lot of pride in his appearance and would have a fit if there was one scuff-mark on his outfit. Which is why you'd probably see him brushing off his outfit (or carrying alcohol wipes to clean off stains on his outfit). So, Jack builds wise is a pretty skinny kid, mildly athletic and has somewhat toned legs and arms from all the exercise he inadvertently ends up getting from his "extracurricular activities". Jack isn't exactly super tall, in fact, he's under the male average by about two inches, not that most people would notice it unless they compared him to somebody taller.
Jack's a mess of different kinds of European countries, his father said that he came from a line of Irish immigrants and mixed from there, and his mother came from Ukraine. Jack doesn't think too hard about it and just says that he's white. He's got relatively healthy skin, just that it's covered in a variety of scars from his old criminal days. From scars, he got from his gadgets literally exploding in his hands, to scars from misjudging a jump and falling. He has green eyes and not so striking brown hair he keeps combed upwards but wild looking.

▼ | PERSONALITY : |
Jack is definitely a contentious one. He's not exactly an easy person to get along with and that's just by his nature. He's cocky, takes nothing seriously, always has something to say, and is sarcastic as all hell. After one conversation with the sleaze most people want to punch him in the face - but a lot of people end up going through it with it and punching his teeth out. Jack Stauber is defined by his inability to take anything seriously and even though he's in the middle of the worst disaster in the world; he sees it as a means to an end. He wants revenge against his old boss and working with a bunch of chicks is "means to an end" those are means he digs. Jack is definitely a lady's man and he loves to hang around with and flirt with women - but it's all superficial. Jack isn't the type that likes long walks on the beach and wants a marriage - no he just wants to bury his bone and move onto the next one. If a girl doesn't return his feelings and drops their panties then they're no good to him. Jack Stauber is very easily impressed and also likes to show off... but what a lot of people find weird is that he's a huge neat freak. Everything in his workshop has to be neat and proper or he'll freak and if someone messes him up he'll flip. Though, deep down, Jack is really fucking pissed off because his old crew betrayed himf.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Criminal Knowledge ⫻ Whether or not FAMA likes it, Jack is a crook. He's been initiated into a criminal organization and he knows a lot of different things. From being sneaky, knowing how to pick locks, being agile enough to climb a fence with a heavy weight on his back, and most of all he has a very keen instinct. These skills bleed into how Jack thinks and interacts with other people regardless of whether or not he's aware of it.
Aim ⫻ Given that Jack's power allows him to create a variety of different guns, he needs to know how to shoot straight to make good of any of it. After hours of practice and whatnot, he learned to actually shoot straight and can actually shoot pretty well. He's no army sniper... more of a redneck that shoots a lot of cans.
Improvisation ⫻ While things like "long-term planning" go completely over his head, Jack fond of winging it. He's great at coming up with things on the fly.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Jack was born in Tampa Florida lived in the poorer neighborhoods and since their father's job was annihilated by a Delta-Human the best he could end up with was a warehouse somewhere. They lived in a trailer park and that wasn't the least comfortable place to live in, and a lot of the time was spent with his parents arguing. To pass the time, Jack found his grandfather's old guitar and learned how to use it. It was crucial in drowning out the infuriating sounds of his parents constantly fighting. However, things took a turn that Jack wasn't expecting when his father was killed in a robbery gone wrong.
The family was shocked and did everything they could to cope with the situation. His mother fell into a pit of depression and became a heavy drinker, while the rest of the siblings fell to their vices. Jack, on the other hand, was exposed to the Delta-Point energy (Specifically Blue and Green energies) and the sheer grief of his father's death forced his power to develop and spontaneously manifest. He didn't notice that he had power at first, but he started getting these "ideas" in his head about stuff he can build. He ignored it, but then he experimented, he didn't know how he got this knowledge but he built the simplest invention that came to mind: a lamp. It didn't work at first before he had to charge it with his Metahuman energy and then it functioned. Jack realized the possibilities were endless. However, with the death of his father, that meant the breadwinner was gone, and since mommy was an alcoholic she was spending what little money they had. So that meant it came down to the rest of the Stauber siblings to keep a roof over their head... while also trying to stay in school and commit to other endeavors.
Jack himself contributed, but the best he could accomplish was getting a part-time job at a local fast-food restaurant. He did a bit of everything; cooking, cashiering, cleaning, and felt like he could become a manager. However, it just wasn't enough money, from a mixture of very shitty pay and a lack of hours he could only kind of contribution. The rest of his siblings weren't doing any better (some were doing worse) and they were only able to keep their house because Jack took drastic measures. He started creating trinkets and tools and began to sell them to gangs, the highest bidder, and managed to get a bit of money. However due to how they were inherently designed they were worthless to the average person. All it ended up doing was putting a target on his back as many gangs wanted their money back.
... So Jack went to even more drastic measures. After months of planning and creating tools out of whatever he could, he made a disguise for himself and robbed his own job. After all, he knows a lot about the place and it'd be the easiest to rob. He came out of the ordeal with a few hundred dollars which were a boon that the Stauber household desperately needed - and best of all, he could pay back some of the gangs. However, they needed more money and the gangs wanted their money, so Jack kind of made a habit out of the endeavor. At night, he put on the costume and would go around robbing businesses from convenience stores to restaurants, he even engaged in a little bit of house invasion. As he stopped going to school, he put hundreds, if not thousands of dollars towards the family's bills - they stopped wondering where he was getting all this money from after a while. The money started piling up and Jack managed to pay off the gangs, so that kept them off his back. He, however, realized that he would have to go even bigger if he was going to keep the money flowing for his family. There were only so many times he could rob the same two places before they caught on, and they would have even less to steal the second time. He had more money to buy gadgets, so he could afford it.
He started stealing from bigger businesses, and he wasn't going for money anymore. Oh no, Jack was going for whatever he could sell on the streets because in his eyes it was still money. The many police organizations in the city were starting to catch on, and eventually, they laid out a trap for Jack that he walked right into. He was surrounded by police officers, caught and went peacefully. He was shoved into the back of a police cruiser and it drove off, and he realized that it was the end for him... before the "police officer" that was driving transformed into a woman that smiled at him, telling him words that stuck with him to this very day:
"You're a smart cookie, kid, but you should have stayed in the kiddie pool."
The woman introduced herself as Megan Jervious, and said that she was following Jack, hoping that she would get to him before the police would. They beat her to the punch but she pulled the rug from under them. They abandoned the police cruiser and then she introduced them to a group of Deltahuman thieves that she was assembling, and wanted Jack in their ranks. He didn't know what to think, but she promised him money, gear, and more if she joined him... and just to sweeten the deal she gave him a huge sum of money right up front. That was all Jack needed to join them. They didn't even have a name, as Megan wasn't fond of such names so they simply referred to themselves as "The Group". However what she was fond of was covering her tracks, and thus she advised that they keep their distance from each other and strictly know each other by codenames. Jack himself settled on Neutron after Megan telling him that Jimmy Neutron going to fly. They had no headquarters, and where ever there was a mission they would just meet up somewhere - organized by Megan via text message.
At first, he thought that it'd be difficult being on a team with technopaths, but their powers worked well together, Jack and Gear made many amazing tools. The Group was responsible for a lot of different heists from robbing gangs, stealing from shipping boats to even robbing banks. Long as Jack got a cut, he was down for it. He helped whenever necessary, but they largely kept him out of the way reasoning that he was too young and impulsive to play with the big boys. His devices were instrumental to half of these heists going well, but he also played a part when they didn't. Over time, Jack noticed that they were going after specific groups - mainly businesses and groups under the ISD. It wasn't something he thought too hard about, he just wanted the money as he was finally able to leave his shitty day job behind and kept a roof over his family's head. Over time he was able to accumulate a huge selection of gadgets as he built them with what little free time and money that he had available and it shows.
The Group was known for their speed; they went in from places nobody expects, his them hard and vanishes without a trace while everyone figured out just what in the hell happened. However, after one mission he was approached by a member of the group named Flashbang who formally introduced herself to him by finally taking off her mask;a teenaged girl around Jack's age. She told him her name was Emily G. Reed, a girl that had a bone to pick with a lot of people. Jack feeling confident, revealed himself as well, and the two started talking about a lot of different things. About their past, their goals, and most importantly of all; who's going to come out on top and who's going to be the sore one. Emily told Jack that Megan was hiding something and there was something bigger going on here than just stealing stuff, Jack agreed. After all, she was having the group steal confidential research and evidence of under the table dealing - he felt like she knew something that she wasn't sharing with the group.
Because of this mutual suspicion, they both chose to do some "side-jobs" independent of the group. She heard of a deal between some gang and somebody else that was selling one of the last few Delta-Crystals out there. They both, naturally, crashed it and managed to cause a huge ruckus and snatch the crystals from underneath everyone's noses. Emily and Jack were torn on what to actually do with them - as the crystal painted such a target on their back than trying to sell it would have been completely suicidal. Jack wanted to split the crystals against Emily's wishes, eventually, they conceded and then Jack left with half the crystal. Now, this crystal was the thing that Jack really needed to make his inventions great. He broke the crystal into pieces and then used those shards to fuel his inventions before he came up with his magnum opus: TBFLG (The Big Fucking Laser Gun).
This was something that he showed off during an overnight bank heist - powered by the crystal the beam completely annihilated the vault door... and everything inside of it. Megan was furious at Jack but the spectacle of the vault being destroyed more than made up for all the money they lost. She was also curious as to how the kid got his hands on a Delta-Crystal and was even angrier for them getting one and not telling her. It was no skin off his back, he went home that night and took a rest; he figured that he would take the day off and save up his energy for the next mission. FAMA raided the house in the middle of the night and then they attacked him with such speed and precision that by the time he awoke he was cuffed, collared, and thrown into a van. He was taken to FAMA headquarters where they explained that they had received an "anonymous tip" and followed through on it (which Jack thought was total bullshit). They confiscated his gadgets, his phone, his gear... but they didn't find a Delta Crystal, which he thought was impossible because if they got his gear, then they got at the crystal. Above all else the feds wanted to know who was organizing The Group, so he told them what they wanted to hear; it was Megan Jervious organizing them and he had no idea who the others were - they thought that was total bullshit because Megan Jervious doesn't exist.
While being transported to a prison for Deltahumans in southern California shit hit the fan and Jack was one of the few people that managed to escape. Now he got himself a change of clothes and decided that... he was gonna have some fun here in LA.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Jack definitely has some unfinished business with The Group. He has a high suspicion that they sold him out and it's hard to blame him. If any member of The Group moves into town; well, he'd shove his laser rifle directly up their ass. Either he'd take it up with Megan or Emily G. Reed, but the past always has a habit of catching up with him. However his old boss knows some stuff.

He's honestly confused as to how to make this crap, he just knows! After seeing other Metahumans in action he just gets "ideas" in his head, and he replicates it to the best of his ability. These devices are limited to energy-based constructions along the lines of said laser guns, force-fields, jet-packs, etc - however, his specialty dictates that it has to be powered by the Delta-Point energy. He usually uses his own Delta-Point energy as he specifically designs his gadgets to absorb the Delta-Energy of whoever is holding it. However, if he gets his hand on a Delta-Crystal the device would functionally be overclocked with so much power that it may explode. He'd have to specially design a device to use the Delta-Crystals. He can repurpose seemingly any other piece of technology and repurpose it in this manner and create tools to protect himself and his allies. He usually sticks with the good old laser gun, because you can't go wrong with lasers! He's not sure what's the limit on stuff he can create - though he seemingly gets ideas from observing other Deltahumans, and he can't explain it but calls this effect "inspiration". As a majority of his laser weaponry was gotten from observing a friend of his in The Group. Other Deltahumans can donate a bit of their energy to fuel his devices if they choose to.
Upon getting arrested by FAMA a majority of his tools were confiscated (and used as evidence against him), so most of his powerful weaponry is sitting in a locker in Florida. However, he made new stuff
■ Laser Rifle.
Called "Ol' Reliable" by Jack, it's easily his staple weaponry. It's a laser rifle that's around the length of an assault rifle and is constructed out of a microwave, a car, and a PlayStation. It fires high-heat laser beams that incinerate anything it comes in contact with if he wants to and the weapon is fully automatic like an assault rifle. He can choose wether it shoots a solid concussive round or a hot one. It can fire for a minute straight before overheating, and since it uses Jack's Delta-Energy there's no need to reload. He can with the turn of a dial adjust the intensity of the rifle (aka. how hard it hits) and change from hurting feeling like a pinch to a paintball gun to getting hit by a baseball full force. From a light burn to needing some serious medical attention.
■ The Shield.
The second most important tool in Jack's arsenal (and the one thing that they didn't make him change). It's a device that runs up the majority of his right arm - and at will, he can charge it with his Delta-Point energy and create a large rectangle barrier that covers him. This barrier has helped him survive situations that he normally wouldn't have. Jack states that it can take quite a bit of gunfire or about one punch from a super-strong Deltahuman before going down.
■ Force-Field Grenades.
Back in his old days in The Group, there were plenty of situations where he needed to protect allies, but he either wasn't there or couldn't there. A lightbulb went off in his head and he created a series of orbs that he charges with his Delta-Point energy and deploys into a barrier that lasts a short time before disappearing. He doesn't recall how strong they are off the top of his head, but he remembers one taking a couple of shots from pistols and another... slowing down a rampaging Type-Yellow for about two seconds.
■ Jet Boots.
There's one thing that Jack fucking loves; it's his jet boots. He puts these suckers on and he can fly like Starlord! They're boots that shoot fire to the point where he can fly in the air, and he has devised a way to activate them without clasping down and pressing the buttons.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Jack is limited to technology powered by the Delta-Point energy, and if a design isn't powered by it then it simply will not work. This may not seem like a huge limit but it largely limits him to electronics or energy-based devices. Now, Jack's ability could be amazingly versatile and probably could be the strongest among all the Deltahuman. However, it's limited hard by a variety of different factors. For starters, he needs time and resources to build his devices and that makes it impossible for him to even create things on the fly. Thus, he needs to prepare... which could go wrong as he has a habit of horribly misinterpreting situations. In order to make the really advanced gadgets he's going to need high-end stuff and after the Incident that shit's hard to come by. Jack's power needs fuel of course, and that comes from himself a majority of the time since he doesn't have anymore Delta Crystals. His body only has a limited amount of Delta-Point energy that he can use up before it's empty and he has to wait to replenish it. It should be fine if his power usage is kept limited, but if he goes further beyond that he's going to be in trouble. The mere act of draining his Deltapoint energy drains his stamina so he'll eventually be wearing down.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Using his gadgets offensive is a double-edged sword. On one hand, he'll cause damage but on the other hand the Delta-Point energy will (if they're a Metahuman) boost the power of the opponent. So the longer the fight goes on, the most powerful his foe will get, and they'll have a lower chance of ashing. Jack's technological feats aren't exactly expertly put together - they're put together on the fly with what he has on hand. Which means they aren't exactly the most durable in the world, in fact even regular people could probably easily break them. Or if they don't break by themselves - his gadgets are very prone to overheating and then they'll probably end up inoperable over time. Or they'll explode in his hands, which sometimes happens. In addition, he's extra-prone to ashing if he draws on Delta-Energy faster than it can be replenished.

Nakala, as much as she hates the concept, usually draws attention to herself the very minute she walks into a room for a variety of reasons. For starters, the fact that she's tall. She has inherited her height from her mother - along with a variety of other things. She stands tall even above the boys at six-three and even has a deeper than average voice. Along with the fact that she's a bit more muscular than average, she can be quite intimidating. The girl carries herself with weight and confidence and makes every action of her matter. What sucks for her is that she's nowhere near as feminine as she wishes she was. However the girl is curvy, and she still hits the gym and her time in the dance studio has done wonders for her. Usually, she has her hand on her hips or her waist as she walks. The girl is African-American and proud of it, she has extremely dark skin, thick lips, and afro-textured hair that she keeps in braids.

▼ | PERSONALITY : |
Nakala is a very strong-willed and determined human being. She takes a lot after her mother and the way that she was raised, and she was raised to be a strong woman, full of spirit that takes nothing from nothing. However, one difference that she has from her mother is that she has far better social skills, and is not ridiculously prideful as she was. Nakala herself is a very caring and loving human being who sometimes lets her pride cloud her judgment at times. Nakala herself only focuses on what's in front of her and hardly has time for distractions. She's less concerned with putting on fronts as she is with her immediate friend group and advancing herself. So rarely you'll see Nakala drawing unnecessary attention to herself or dressing flashy. However that isn't to say the girl is completely anti-social, she's perfectly fine talking to people. However, Nakala is extremely impatient and at times and that leads to her saying and doing things that alienate herself from friends or something rash.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Dancing ⫻ One thing Nakala has had a talent in is dancing. Since she was young she always took dance lessons that have evolved into being the assistant instructor for a dance studio and competing against other schools. She aspires to be in music videos and do it professionally.
Mechanic ⫻ Nakala's father was an auto mechanic, not the best job but it was something. However, the girl picked up a lot from her father because of her interest in it and also works part-time there now and then. She knows how to fix most cars better than men! All the looks she has received were hilarious when upstages the men!
FAMA Agent ⫻ Nakala is a former FAMA agent and while she's out all that training and knowledge is still fresh on her mind. She knows a lot about Deltahumans and how they function, hand to hand combat, and marksmanship. Most of all, she knows how to take on many different types of Deltahumans.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Nakala's mother was quite interesting, her name was Michelle Gallus and she was a Floridian woman born in Tampa that, after manifesting at a young age drifted into the woods. After a few weeks, she was picked up by a traveling circus which she lived with for a while until she eventually joined FAMA in its prime. She took the callsign, Scary Monster, and preformed numerous raids against the likes of REAPER and other Deltahuman threats. On the side, she met a man named Bryan Phillips and the two eloped, got married and soon enough Nakala was born. Bryan wasn't anything impressive, he owned an auto-garage, while Michelle worked as pretty much the primary breadwinner. There a slight bit of tension between the two because Michelle was more or less making way more than Bryan.
Well, Nakala was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. She wasn't the overtly social kind of gal at first, she kept to herself growing up. Her mother taught her how to be independent of a young age, and taught her how dangerous the world was and how tough she had to be. She taught her skills she needed to be self-sufficient, including socially. Often the girl was responsible for getting herself to and from school and staying home by herself until one of the Phillips got one. However, she had one friend that she stuck through from kindergarten onwards; Olivia Clarke. This girl was her best friend and the two had more experiences together than anyone else because the two were inseparable. Nakala, throughout school, made friends with many people from all over. This was enough for Nakala, personally, but she found herself making more friends incidentally by taking up her interest in dancing. It, at first, was an after school thing eventually it evolved into a passion. She became so skilled at dancing throughout her younger years that it became a competitive thing for her - even going to different cities for the weekend just to compete!
Soon enough, Olivia manifested a type-blue power. It was the ability that gave her instinctive knowledge of biology that puts her above even the top minds in the field. The girl went insane with power as she created a new life, made cures for diseases, and other such things. Nakala thought that she should slow down... but then Olivia made her imp
Things changed for Nakala when REAPER attempted to kidnap the president and all hell broke loose and Michelle was sent there for backup. It was a nasty stressful time for the Phillips family as Bryan wanted Michelle to come back before she gets killed or something. They lost contact with Michelle and they assumed the worse... until it all blew over and it was revealed that Michelle survived. Except for the fact that she had lost her arm, and the insane amounts of PTSD she had from the incident. All the rampant violence and murder that took place took a toll on Michelle and she became an alcoholic wreck.
That hurt the Phillips family in more ways than one given their primary breadwinner was taken out of the picture. She got a huge check for losing her arm, but it wasn't long before the money was starting to dry up and Nakala had to take up odd jobs to help support the family. She had less time to hang out with her friends and live her passion but she managed to get a job at the dance studio. It was a small job as an "assistant instructor", which was the owner of the studio throwing her a bone.
Then the punches kept coming as Nakala eventually lost her closest friend, her emotional support. Nakala cleared her schedule and they went to a house party and Olivia went missing. At first, Nakala thought she went home, but eventually, she wasn't home and everyone was getting suspicious. Nobody knew where she was and there were several police reports put out but nobody could track Olivia Clarke. Things felt a little strange to Nakala as Livvy was only separated from her for only a short period and nobody knew where she was? Well, she launched her investigation into what had happened and it turned up no leads, and it seems the police were content with giving up. After all, Deltahumans disappear all the time? What makes Olivia anymore special than them?
Nakala eventually suspected REAPER was involved, but she didn't have a clue about how to go about it. Eventually, Nakala decided to join FAMA, it was hard leaving her dance studio behind but this was what she needed to find her friend. Nakala went through the six-month training program and came out as a special agent - and came out one of the best. For the next few years, Nakala rose through the ranks of FAMA, but she didn't give up on Olivia Clarke. No matter how many clearances she got she couldn't find. Eventually, while following reports of some Deltahuman kids causing trouble in Virginia... she found out that one of them had a red delta-crystal. Apparently one of them found the tiny crystal and used it to give their friends powers.
It gave her an idea. A stupid idea but one she was going to go through with nonetheless. She cut the kids a deal; if they give her the crystal, they get registered and she'll leave out all the crime they committed. That was when she went through with her plan. She scoured the dark web for information, she eventually found someone who'd get her in contact with REAPER, and arranged a meeting. She arranged for it to go down in the dead of the night - it was tense, but she showed up nonetheless. Nakala met with a REAPER agent who introduced herself as Davis... then he came.
Abel.
She was terrified of the tyrant, being REAPER's boogyman and the one responsible for the bloodshed that scarred her mother. However, she tried to stay strong and stand her ground. They had known who Nakala was and was expecting a trap but she stood strong and demanded to know information on Olivia Clarke. The information they insisted they didn't have, she tried to press them on it but Abel simply demanded the crystal. Against all logic Nakala refused and Abel moved to take it from her and her power manifested at that exact moment. Sparks of green lightning hit Abel and covered him in plants which... did nothing to stop him as he simply tore out of it.
However... another FAMA agent, named Maximilian Cornell, had his eye on her and launched a surprise attack against his arch-nemesis. They forced Abel to retreat but after he was gone Maximilian slapped cuffs on Nakala. They took her into the interrogation room and he personally interrogated her. That was when she broke down into tears and told him everything. She knew it was over for her - it was going to be a life of crime. However, Maximilian, out of the kindness of his heart apparently, decided to keep it off the books. Nakala knew it was only because he was close friends with her mother. However, he had one stipulation: Nakala resigns immediately or he'll tell them everything.
Forced with no other option, Nakala packed up her office and resigned. To clear her head, she visited some friends in LA to talk about what happened... then the incident happened. Fortunately, Nakala was able to save herself. Unfortunately, she's trapped in LA.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Nakala really wants to find her friend Livvy... and maybe she'd find the clue that she's looking for here in LA. Then she also has unfinished business with REAPER and Abel.

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Red
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : | Botanical-Lightning
Nakala has a strange power that seems to be a mixture of plant manipulation and electrical manipulation. She can produce dark-green electricity like energy that looks and moves much like actual electricity but does not shock or burn on contact. It travels the speed of lightning and will more or less instantly reach its destination, but does not conduct whatsoever. What it does instead produces plant life when it comes in contact with any unplanted surface and causes an explosion of random plant life (From fruit-producing plants to bushes) that'll continuously grow as long as Nakala keeps pumping energy into it. She can also produce a continuous stream of electricity and can also charge up for a massive thunder-bolt that'll cause a huge explosion of plant-life if it comes in contact with a surface. If it comes in contact with existing plant matter, however, it'll cause explosive growth of that plant and only that plant. She can make a tree grow dozens of branches in a few moments and cause the grass to be obscuring. If the lightning strikes a seed it'll cause it to suddenly sprout and grow. Naturally, she can influence the direction it grows and in addition, she has a more traditional elemental ability to manipulate plants.
This power doesn't have too many direct uses, but she can produce plenty of this botanical-lightning and can drastically change the environment of an area given time. She can turn an area into a raging jungle if she has time, and this will allow her to produce barriers, bridges, and perhaps even food. If the lightning strikes a person it won't cause any damage to them other than causing plant growth on their being that can probably easily be torn off. The ability has a side-effect of putting insane amounts of oxygen into the air just by creating the lightning. Nakala has a secondary ability to support her primary, and it's a more direct plant manipulation. Nakala is unaware of the fact yet but she subconsciously produces small amounts of the energy where ever she goes and that gives her a connection to all plant life in the area. This means she can sense plants and communicate with them subconsciously... of course, plants can't talk, but she can detect their health state.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Nakala can create as much energy as her stamina allows her. Besides, it has a range of around eight meters and going past that range will cause it to immediately disperse. However, her power has two catches to function at its maximum; sunshine and environment. Nakala needs the sun to be touching her skin or else the plant growth will be stunted, which cuts her effectiveness in half indoors or at night. Also, she has trouble producing plant life on artificial surfaces such as concrete and metal.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
First things first, the plants are weak against anything that'd normally damage plants such as ice, fire, toxins, etc, etc. The primary weakness of the power comes from the oxygen-producing quality, it fills the air with so much oxygen that even a slight spark can cause a huge flame. A huge flame that'd most likely set Nakala on fire because she's in the center of it. The other problem is that excessive amounts of oxygen is toxic and will cause nausea at best.

▼ | PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : |
Hana puts a lot of care in her appearance. While she admits a likely contributing factor to this behaviour is her own vanity, she places part of the blame on the influence of South Korean culture, having spent three years there in her youth. Beauty is a highly valued currency in that country - being beautiful equated to success. After learning this growing up, Hana placed a lot of value in maintaining a good image in public. Her morning routine wouldn’t be complete without a skincare routine, an application of makeup, and a hairstyle of some kind.
Hana’s biggest pride is her skin. She sports a milky complexion, free of blemishes, though two moles dot her face - one under her eye, another on the opposing cheek. Hundreds of dollars had been invested in skincare for its upkeep, and it seemed to be doing the trick. More was spent on Hana’s round, slightly down-turned eyes, to surgically correct the uneven eyelids she was born with. Plastic surgery was as common in Los Angeles as in South Korea, the two places she grew up in. As a result, it was never a difficult decision to go through with it.
At 5’5”, Hana is average height, though on the taller end by asian standards. She’s rather slim, a weight she maintains by trying trending crash diets every now and then despite being aware of how unhealthy they are. Her long pink hair, slightly dry and frizzy from the chemical processing, grazes the middle of her back. She has a medium-sized tattoo of peonies that wraps around her upper right arm.
▼ | ATTIRE : |
Hana’s fashion has two moods, and occasionally, they mix. The more favoured half of her closet has a monochromatic palette - mostly black fabrics, with some variety of greys sprinkled in. Her darker clothes are mostly in a streetwear style, with some professional attire included as well. In contrast, the remainder of Hana’s closet displays a girly aesthetic. This part of her closet is dominated by white, beige, and pale pink fabrics, with ruffles and lace to boot.

▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS : |
On the surface, Hana is cheerful and animated, with a dimpled smile on her face on most days. She appears extroverted and friendly, and makes an effort to be kind to people. Though Hana believes she’s a good person, a small part of her is aware that her kindness is not completely altruistic - she has a deep-rooted desire for others to like her. Hana is selfish, though she isn’t self-aware enough to notice, or prefers not to admit it, and ultimately acts for her own benefit before anything else. This trait surfaces in subtle ways; for example, she probably wouldn’t take sides in a conflict between two friends, even if one was more in the wrong, to avoid being antagonised by the other. In another scenario, Hana might ask how someone’s day went with the intention that they’d reflect the question back to her.
Underneath the smiles and enthusiasm, Hana is emotional, to say the least. She’s easily angered if something doesn’t go her way, though she’s in no way vengeful. Her habit is to internalize the conflicts in her life and bottle it up, which ends up affecting her overall mood. She generally doesn’t outwardly display internal distress, but when she’s upset, she becomes more distant and apathetic towards other people.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Bilingual: Having grown up in two different countries, Hana can speak English and Korean.
Finance: As a finance major, Hana knows her way around a spreadsheet - well, to the extent of any other university student.
Personal Care: It’s a skill completely useless to the Deltahuman-related crisis in LA right now, but Hana knows her way around skincare, makeup, and taking care of her appearance.
Anti-Chef: If you ask Hana to cook something, she can somehow inexplicably make food taste bad, and leave a mess behind while doing so.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
(very mundane, civilian backstory up ahead)
Hana was born in Los Angeles, to two immigrant parents. They had migrated to the states for work, after some convincing from relatives who had moved there some years before them. Though they struggled initially learning English, Hana’s parents eventually settled down and decided to have children once their finances were more stable. After some effort, Hana was born. Three years later, the Kims’ gave birth to her younger sister, Yoona.
For a while, Hana’s childhood was normal. She grew up on Disney movies and sugary cereal, attended a local elementary school, and felt like becoming a princess when she grew up. Sure, she was a little spoiled, even though her family was in no means living in the lap of luxury. Evidence of her lavish childhood could easily be seen in her bedroom - its walls were painted pink, and a fairytale-esque canopy hovered above her bed, covered in stuffed animals. Yoona’s bedroom was styled in a similar fashion. Their rooms were the envy of her friends at school, a fact Hana took pride in.
When Hana was seven years old, her parents had a divorce. It was messy, from what she can remember. The roar of her parents’ arguments shook the house at night, and oftentimes, one of them would leave the house and not return for days. There was a lot of confusion in this chapter of Hana’s life, and she found that a lot more responsibility was being placed on her shoulders. Chores were being neglected, and home cooked meals were replaced with twenty dollar bills for takeout or pizza. Hana became a little more independent during this time, albeit much more temperamental.
Hana and her sister were split up once their parents finalized the divorce. Hana stayed with mom, and Yoona stayed with dad, and they swapped places every weekend, for a time. Their lives were a lot different now - the dreamlike, pink-themed bedroom was sold along with the home they grew up in, and Hana’s parents could no longer support giving her whatever she wanted. Learning to be rejected from time to time took its toll on Hana - she threw a lot of temper tantrums before realizing being angry wasn’t getting her anywhere. At some point, her dad decided to return to South Korea, taking Yoona with him, since she was young and likely more able to adapt to a new culture. The distance had created a physical and emotional rift between the siblings, and they haven’t been close since.
From age eleven to fourteen, Hana lived in South Korea as well. Her parents, though antagonistic toward each other, found value in having their children learn about their roots. However, as an insecure preteen, Hana felt discarded - first by her father who moved away, and now by her mother who shipped her halfway across the world, to an unfamiliar place. This is perhaps the origin of Hana’s self-serving personality now, and why she feels a need for attention.
Hana used social media and a string of terrible relationships to get the attention she sought so deeply. In high school, she began to amass a small following on Instagram - not enough to generate an income, but companies sent her free stuff to review every now and then. Needless to say, she became a little obsessive over her page’s statistics and numbers, and felt validated when her posts received an increasing amount of likes. You can say she had a similar attitude towards relationships in her high school years - she quickly fell for anyone who showered her with affection.
Hana discovered her powers unwittingly one day, in a fight an ex. He was a Deltahuman with a simple ability - he could manipulate the temperature of things he touched to drop and frost over. Occasionally, however, he used his ability on Hana, when they’d argue, when he’d get angry at her, or disagreed with something she did. Eventually, Hana had enough of her limbs freezing and wanted it to stop - and somehow, it did, for a moment, much to her ex’s confusion. She could feel that she was the cause - maybe it was the feeling of Delta-Point Energy flowing through her. As far as she knew, up until that moment, she wasn’t a Deltahuman. It occured to Hana that she was likely exposed to type-green energy as a child, and the power manifested over time.
Hana kept her ability a secret as much as she could, and figured out the extent of what she could do on her own, or with a trusted friend. She didn’t see much value in using her powers - they didn’t seem to have any useful purpose, and exposing herself as a Deltahuman could only invite negativity. Public opinion about Deltahumans was mixed, and Hana didn’t want it to tarnish the crafted appearance she presented of herself on social media. By all means, Hana lived her life like a regular human. She attended UCLA for their finance program, and was close to finishing her degree before shit hit the fan.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Hana’s arc will likely be personal development for the most part. With everything that’s happened, Hana is mostly confused and listless, now that her rather mundane plans of graduating college and finding a job have been thrown off-track. She wants to figure out what she wants to do.

"Really? Of all the superpowers I could’ve had, I get this?!"
▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Green
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Hana’s power is simple, and doesn’t have too many uses. When she touches another Deltahuman with the intention to use her ability, she can nullify their powers for the time that she remains in physical contact with them, and the effect gradually wears off once contact is lost. So, for example, someone with fire manipulation abilities may find that they can only conjure a small flame equivalent to a lighter immediately after Hana lets go of them, and then a baseball-sized flame ten minutes later. From Hana’s own experimentation, the debuff effect seems to last about half an hour on average, before the affected Deltahuman regains their full strength. This ability also works on physical transformations, meaning it can force a transformed superhuman to their untransformed state, and cause a delay until they can transform again. In Hana’s opinion, the debuffing aftereffect is the only silver lining to her ability.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Hana must remain in physical contact for the nullification ability to take effect, after which is a delay of about half an hour before the affected Deltahuman is able to regain full power. Upon Hana coming in contact with someone, it takes about 1-2 seconds for the nullification to kick in. Her ability does not work on permanent transformations.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
While Hana’s ability is a potential inconvenience for many, she’s rather bitter that the invention of Suppressant-Collars have essentially rendered her abilities redundant. There isn’t much use for her to use her powers when a manufactured item can essentially do the same thing, packaged in a portable, wearable form.
The biggest limitation of Hana’s power is that she has to be in physical contact with someone for it to take effect. One look at Hana, and most people would chuckle at how laughably easy it would be to run away from her. She isn’t the most physically fit of Deltahumans, or humans in general, and staying away from her nullifying touch is a walk in the park. What seems to be more effective, in Hana’s experience, is using it on people who are unaware of her abilities. Half of the time, people don’t connect Hana’s playful pat on the back as the reason why they’ve temporarily lost their abilities.

His personal assortment of clothing only includes pieces from the World’s foremost fashion designers. The only thing he hates more than wearing the same item twice in a row is wearing the same thing as somebody else, he is known to pay designers heftily for one-a-kind outfits. His fashion sense to average person would come off as exorbitantly priced and needlessly flamboyant. Esmé also controversially prefers real animal fur in his clothing, he also is a proponent of using alligator/crocodile leather in boots or handbags.

▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS : |
Esmé lives a lavish lifestyle on his parent’s dime and isn’t afraid to flaunt it; humility and humbleness are virtues unknown to him. He finds humor and pleasure in his cruelty towards others. The vastness of his parents’ coffers only fuels his persistent lack of ambition. He is not above feigning progress or lying to his parents to secure his monthly stipend. People in general are disposable to Esmé, even those he is initially attracted to, there exists plenty of spurned lovers of his whom he rid himself of when the initial thrill of relationship subsided. Being as narcissistic and self-centered as he is, he is intrinsically afraid of failure and cannot accept even the slightest piece of constructive criticism.; he exclusively surrounds himself with flatterers and bootlickers in order to never be challenged. If he happens to not get his way, is upstaged, or loses he is prone to throw a tantrum.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Proficiency with a Sabre – Esmé was trained in the art of fencing at starting at a young age, specifically he specialized in using a sabre as opposed to a foil or epee. He was surprisingly competent and in boarding school he even earned accommodations for competing in regional tournaments. Had he further applied himself to the craft and grew out of his immature views on losing, he could have potentially made France’s Olympic Team later in life. However, at eighteen he decided to study abroad in America and lost any passion he had for the sport. For nostalgia purposes, he will sporadically pick up a sabre and spar with an opponent, but only if he is guaranteed a victory over them.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Esmé was born into a life of wealth and privilege; the only son of a wealthy French shipping magnate he was dotted on by his parents. Due to their problems convincing a child his birth was considered a miracle to his devote Roman-Catholic parents; it is said he simply sparkled when he emerged from his mother’s womb. He spent his early years on his parents’ estate nestled in the heights of Roucas Blanc overlooking the harbor of Marseille; his every whim was catered to by an army of servants. It was here he was instilled with the belief he was better than those around him and others existed to serve him. His parents’ influence enrolled him in the best boarding schools in Europe where he mingled with the upper crust of society. As was a long-standing tradition in his family he was trained in the art of fencing, but Esmé had no love of the sport outside of it being a way to inflict sanctioned violence on others. Esmé manifested a tentative grasp around his powers around this time; he exerted little control over light, but he certainly felt a connection to it. Esmé had of course heard of delta-humans, but from what was circulated about them at the time he considered them to be a mixture of circus freaks and lepers. His fears of being part of the undesirables were dissuaded when he indirectly brought his concerns to Father McDonagh in confession. While far from a devout Catholic as Esmé was quite proud of his sins and vices, he was always respected the majesty and supernatural authority of the church could grant someone. Father McDonagh while confirming Esmé’s suppositions that the large percentage of delta-humans were abominations, also mentioned that God could certainly bestow powers as a sign of His divine favor like He supposedly did with certain characters in the Bible and even members of the pre-revolution nobility. That was all the justification Esmé needed regarding his mysterious powers. He came to the United States at age eighteen to pursue a business degree at Yale on the insistence of his father, but immediately dropped out to pursue a relationship with a male singer in a local punk band that caught his affections. When the relationship ended a year later in a bitter breakup, Esmé who was that point cut off from his parents’ money re-enrolled in order to return to their good graces. His re-enrollment was short lived needless to say as he left to pursue other fleeting passions. At twenty-one he arrived in Los Angeles and convinced his parents to buy him a nightclub to run. While, he shortly became bored of the operations side of his nightclub ‘Versailles’ and passed managerial duties to someone else, he quite enjoyed the social aspect of it. It became a local hotspot for the city’s well-to-dos and in four years Esmé gathered a devoted following of hangers-on, groupies, gold-diggers, and toadies. In certain circles he was relatively famous and Esmé loved the attention. When the buildings began to fall Esmé was predisposed with wooing a prospective future employee of his fine establishment. The naïve thing came all this way to Los Angeles from some fly-over state to pursue his dreams of being a famous moviestar, how quaint. Esmé would be more than happy to offer employment to this future star of stage and screen in the meantime provided the man was able to satisfy his desires. When he relayed his proposition to the starving actor it clearly flustered him. Esmé bit his bottom lip in anticipation. Then the ground began to violently shake.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Esmé will have to come with terms that post-disaster despite his wealth and privilege there is no special bailout waiting exclusively for him. No special rescue operation is being mounted. His parents’ money cannot buy him reprieve this time. He is the same situation as everyone else stuck in the city, perhaps he is slightly worse off than some as the little social-bonds he had pre-disaster have dissipated; those that were his allies either abandoned him in their own quest for survival or were just unable to adapt to the new order and perished. No one is holding his hand through this crisis.

▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Light Manipulation - Esmé can use and influence visible light to his own benefits. He is able to use pre-existing light to create blinding strobes, flashes, or disorienting displays that are detrimental to other people's equilibrium. He mainly influences ambient lighting to make himself more attractive or create an impromptu spotlight on himself. His powers only further reinforce his delusions that he is superior to the rest of the world.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Esmé can only control existing light as he is unable to spontaneously generate light of his own. He would theoretically be most effective outside in direct sunlight or in well-lit areas. Outside of temporary blinding someone as a prank or manipulating the light in a room to make himself seem more photogenic he has never used his powers in an offensive capacity, so most of his boasts about mastery over light are unproven to say the least. He does not actively practice improving his powerset. He once managed to create a sabre out of light, but the process required intense concentration and the construct lasted for only a brief instant.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Esmé’s powers are a double edged sword as if he happens to be looking directly at the light he is manipulating when making strobes, flashes, or disorienting displays he would be suffer the ill efects as well, such as temporary blindness. His narcissism juxtaposed with his hubris are potentially fatal weaknesses psychologically speaking. He is prone to underestimating those around him as he sees most people as inferiors. Flattery even insincere flattery will endear one to him. He loves to have his ego stroked. He is generally paranoid of those around him, but his regular use of cocaine only heightens this paranoia. He foolishly puts undue trust in those he finds attractive.

At full height, Henry stands at a gargantuan 9'8, making him easily one of the tallest people alive. Henry is still distinctly humanoid in appearance though, and has scales are a dirty white coloration, with black, puma like splotches and stripes that liter his his body giving him a very interesting, Tegu-like coloration. His scales are thick and leathery in one direction but rough like sandpaper and sharp in the other, his skin being like that of a shark's- made of tiny teeth.
Henry's body proportions are off compared to a normal person, and are closer to that of a lemur or other old world simian with longer limbs relative to body size. Unlike these primates however, he is extremely muscular: every inch of Henry's frame is taut and reinforced with muscle; he is visibly the strongest person around- if you were to call him a person at this point. He has a long, thick tail, which is prehensile, and extremely strong, made up almost entirely of muscle. It can curl up like chameleons or drag along the ground like an iguana’s, most often it comes up and off the ground helping his massive frame balance more easily. Henry's hands have mutated heavily, his fingers elongating and growing huge six-inch sickle claws. With one, his pinky, becoming a rough nub, is degraded away leaving him with only four usable fingers. His feet have already warped, having lost his pinkie toe and all of his nails, instead having thick, heavily padded feet and massive claws. All of his toe claws are capable of extending like that of a cat's claw and releasing a huge sickle claws nine inches in total length.
Henry's mouth and jaw have extended outwards as his head warped with his transformation, his nose and face broadening outwards into a very saurian snout, with his ears and nose and other cartilage structures degrading away. He is entirely unrecognizable as the man once known as Henry Olin.

"If I show them that they can get to me, that they can make me lash out, they win."
▼ | PERSONALITY : |
Henry is, despite what you might expect from a grizzled and military trained professional, a pretty cool guy with many stories to tell. Over the years he has gone from a greenhorn with something to prove to a mellowed out and good-natured man who tries his best to see the best in people. Because of his condition, Henry has developed thick skin and seemingly endless patience. He has heard every insult under the sun thrown his way, and is almost impossible to visibly phase even if certain comments do get to him deep down. At the end of the day, he has spent his life trying to compensate for being inhuman by being the better person, as convoluted as that may seem. Growing up what most would think a monster has led him to develop a strong sense of justice and empathy- especially for the downtrodden. Henry can be extremely charming, and outwardly friendly when a person is receptive towards him. He is particularly good at making connections to people and his strong sense of empathy and wealth of experience grants him intuition where many fall short- often picking up quickly when someone is uncomfortable around him, scared of something, or is feeling something that they are unable or unwilling to communicate for whatever reason.
Henry has a powerful voice and coupled with his large presence, he tends to command attention wherever he goes and to whomever he talks to. To a certain extent, Henry revels in this, enjoying the attention. On the flip side, he also dislikes the attention he inevitably receives simply by existing within the general vicinity of someone who doesn't like his organization, or what he is. Deep down, Henry wants to be accepted as one of the good guys. The world is, after all, a very judgmental place when you're a beast.
On the inside, Henry is an exceedingly lonely individual. He has been all his life- oftentimes feeling and being told that he is ugly or undesirable, and has developed quite a case of body dysphoria. People like him were exceedingly rare, and people like him even more so. He has felt different his entire life in a terrible way, understandably so. While so many of his peers were granted superpowers that did nothing but raise them up, his life was torn away and apart in front of him. He watched his peers go to dances with dates and find love where he found none- and coming home to an empty home day in and day out has extracted a heavy toll on his heart. He firmly believes that he will never find love or be loved in that way. Desperation has led him down many paths of embarrassment, and some that he is particularly ashamed of. On days where he is reminded of his position, he teeters on the edge far more than he will ever admit to those that are close to him.
Henry does find limited solace in those that do give him a chance, though. He is an extremely good friend to those that he cares about, and because he has so few ‘friends’ his kindness has been abused time and time again in the past. He’s a bit of a doormat in that sense- too afraid to stand up for himself to the people he cares about because he thinks that if he does they’ll leave- even if he knows deep down that they don't care about him. At least not in any genuine or meaningful way. In this sense he prefers empty company to crushing isolation- anything to not be alone. He tries too hard, picks up tabs where he shouldn't, desperately tries to stay in contact, overextends, and becomes protective or jealous where he shouldn't- and his true friends stop him or forgive him for it. At this point in his life, those friends, that rhythm of separation and closeness is what he lives for. The reminders that they aren’t him, which is good since he's not a very good friend to him. If it came down to their life or his, he wouldn't even have to think- it wouldn't even be much of a choice at all.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Henry is a highly trained and experienced officer, having operated in the FAMA organization and RAVEN before it. An expert tactician- another product of his service, Olin underwent the Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) course, which teaches its students effective techniques when fighting in urban or other condensed environments against unseen enemies, including how to identify traps and likely ambush points. Extensive qualifications and use of firearms has given Olin an extremely broad understanding of how to utilize firearms in most environments and conditions, and his FAMA training has taught him a plethora of hand-to-hand, knife, and rifle fighting techniques to instill discipline and ready them for service. As a result of his intimidating size and the raw power and resistance he readily possesses, he oftentimes is relegated to specialized enforcer teams, bomb defusal units, or security jobs when not on standard patrol. So for the most part, his days as an active combatant are behind him.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Henry was born in 1978.
When Henry was born, he was average weight, and had a full head of hair and looked like a little old man. He did nothing but scream and shit for three days after that.
And for a while, Henry was a normal boy. He attended normal school, was normal height, had the same issues and problems as a normal person from a middle class Canadian family.
Then, when he turned twelve in secondary school, puberty hit him like a freight train. Unlike most, his awkward phase was extremely short. Also unlike most, he was exposed to a delta event and turned into a lizard monster.
Within the span of a week he had literally eaten all the food in the house, undergone excruciating pain, and became literally the most pissed off kid you will ever meet (brooding teenagers have nothing on him). He quite literally nearly took his sister's hand off for trying to swipe away a spare meatball. If this was Oregon trail everyone's diets were set to bare bones for about eight days for sheer survival purposes as he literally ate everything (there are still bite makes on the dinner table for evidence). Henry's mother took him to the hospital, and too many forms of therapists and none of which had ever seen something like him before.
Henry was taken out of school, and as he regained control over himself and his body calmed down, he wasn't anywhere near what he was when the transformation began eight days before. Standing at a staggering 6'5 from his previous 4'11, and weighing in at a gaunt 210lbs, Henry was unhealthy, and overall sick, but still much larger and stronger than his own father. His body was still suffering the effects of the chemical changes and metabolism shift from warm blooded to lukewarm. His awkward stage continued for another week or so as his body adapted, and gained weight. He ate as much as before, but he wasn't as violent in doing so. Eventually he calmed down over the next two weeks, being a solid 401 lbs. At the weight of 411, he was actually capable of passing urine and passed his first stool since he began the change two and a half weeks before. When school started up again he did online school, and when the 8th grade year ended, Henry's family was contacted by the Academy program. When Henry entered ninth grade Henry was enrolled at the prestigious Academy 3, and excelled. Despite his inhuman appearance Henry's social life boomed at the Academy and it was the first time since his seventh grade that he interacted with people that weren't part of his immediate family. It is the sole reason why Henry is capable of functioning in society. No relationships though, as you can probably imagine.
Upon graduation, Henry became an officer in the now defunct RAVEN organization. Henry served for several years without leave, working many times with Adam Blackmore and the like against REAPER and other terrorist organizations. When the Verthaven Disaster occurred, Henry was a field agent with Adam Blackmore in the city.
Adam and Henry, among a few other agents were trapped in the dome and had to survive then onslaught that followed. In a grand battle against the Devil itself, Adam succumbed to his injuries despite being a man of resiliency, grit, and experience to match Henry's own. The only thing Adam lacked following the battle was the ability to heal.
Henry was one of very few to walk out of that city alive. He attended many funerals, gave many speeches, and even started a charity called the Verthaven Foundation to finance the educations of metahumans with similar debilitating abilities like his own. After RAVEN became defunct, Henry was homeless for a time, but was found and quickly hired by the new organization FAMA in 2004. Henry has been serving vigilantly ever since, and has recently been stationed in LA to assist with the rise in metahuman related crime.

▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : YELLOW|
Henry is a large, and very, very physically imposing Meta human, if not due to his sheer size, then to his power. Reptiles are extremely resilient for their sizes. His size and powerful build grants him incredible strength- Enough to damage structures, bend steel, and resist inordinate amounts physical punishment. Like most reptiles, Henry is covered in scales and while he is not armored like a crocodile, the thick interlocking scales produce a coat of dermal armor that is as puncture and tear proof as Kevlar.
His front limbs are longer than the average humans, allowing him to move on all fours with no discomfort, and his torso is slightly elongated, allowing him to almost prowl like a large cat. Coupled with a leg structure that is very different to the usual humans (with his ankle joint extending out and giving him a second leg joint to work with) and his strength and the m. caudofemoralis muscles (the ones that attach his legs to his body and tail), he can effectively sprint at forty miles an hour. His legs are extremely strong and with the propulsion of his arms he can effectively lunge over ten meters forward. Mobile joints and powerful muscle attachments in his arms and legs allow him to be surprisingly agile for a creature his size.
Henry has an extremely powerful set of senses (hearing, sight, and smell, etc). Especially smell. He has two ways of smelling the air, which is through his nose and then through his tongue like a snake. Also like a snake, he has two pits right in front of his eyes that allow him to heat-seek, and like a gecko has color night vision. Along his snout there are tiny pores that allow him to actually sense mild electrical pulses that come from muscle movement and the heart beating. His blood also has displayed a much lower pH than that of regular blood, making it un-survivable for most diseases, and will denature protein based compounds such as venom to the point where they function at a less potent effect, or simply do not function at all depending on the lethality. Henry also has several other less superpowered abilities in common with several species of reptiles, amphibians, and birds: A bacteria infested bite, claws, a nasty set of triple rowed teeth (some shark like, others more crocodilian), the ability to breathe underwater through his skin, and some other weird things thrown in there.
He has a regenerative healing factor that allows him to regrow full limbs if they are lost, not just his tail, within a relatively short period of time. This healing factor is extremely potent, and while it does not have the speed of say, Wolverine, it does have the ability to redirect and reroute the flow of blood in his body with a complex set of muscles that close off and contract upon separation or damage. Because of this ability he has displayed the ability to continue performing and functioning even when an alarmingly large portion of his body has been damaged. In theory, Henry could have his skull blown off, but fully recover from the encounter if his body is recovered and stabilized. Small cuts and bruises heal within minutes, but things like crushing trauma or puncture wounds from high caliber firearms take much longer and will likely put him out of a fight.
Henry is a survivor. Like all reptiles he is incredibly resilient by nature, often not showing signs of illness or pain until it's either too late or he's gotten over it that, in combination with a natural accelerated healing rate, can make him very hard to kill. In times of trial and dire need for food and sustenance Henry has shown that he has ‘lukewarm blood’. His body temperature normally hovers around 76-81 F at any given time, as he is warm blooded. However, he can change his metabolism style to cold blooded, and can hibernate in this stage for a very long time, to the point where liver failure is the cause of death before he actually starves.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Different levels of injury require different amounts of time to bounce back from. Being hit by a car might result in a few fractures, which would mend within the hour. Being shot in the lung, if the bullet is high enough caliber to penetrate his hide, or falling debris could put Henry out of the fight. He might be a juggernaut of a person, but he is not invincible. On the note of bullets, while his body might be resistant to low calibre firearms, he is not resistant anymore than a regular man is to the major bruising and internal damage that the force of the bullet carries.
This ability to heal so efficiently and quickly has eroded Henry's instinctual urge to hold himself back in strength related activities. Under normal conditions most beings use only 20-30% of their potential muscle usage. Archie is very capable of using 100%- resulting in muscle fiber damage and other issues that would be crippling. lifting and throwing vehicles, while possible, is taxing on his body. Sometimes too taxing. If he is subject to enough physical strain in a short time frame that his ability to heal cannot keep up with it, he is very likely to collapse and hurt himself further or, depending on the situation, become a sitting duck.
Henry is a very big creature. This means that he has difficulty squeezing into some areas and do no befit him with the gift of endurance as his frame's size and his genetic abilities make him naturally lack locomotion stamina. He can only maintain a 40 mph sprint for a short period of time. Long periods of extended movement are not his forte because he's just not mechanically built for that- no matter how large his lungs are. He is heavy, and it puts a monumental toll on his body to keep up a fast pace. This however, is not nearly as much of a problem in the water.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Because his senses are so powerful, sensory overload can be a big problem for him. He literally cant handle large amounts of bright light and loud sounds because they can cause him a lot of pain and confusion. His vision also gets fucked up when stuff gets into the heat sensing pits, he's pretty blind in those cases because that tends to give him a pretty trippy experience. Imagine your eyesight being flooded with nothing but blurs of red and yellow and being unable to see anything but that mix.
Henry has thick, strong bones. While stronger than a human’s, they are not invincible. If Henry put his full strength into throwing a punch at a steel wall, he'd smash the steel alright. But he'd probably break all of his knuckles and give his arm about six fractures. He needs to be careful. He was a human once, as hard as that may be to believe and humans were not built to be as big as he is. The only reason he's able to survive and thrive is because his body changed with his size- but he cant throw himself around without seriously injuring himself. Impacts become more and more dangerous the larger the body gets, and Henry is a very large person. Because he is so large, Henry is also almost impossible to miss. He demands attention, and while he is quite a bruiser, focus fire and a lack of proper cover can quickly wear him down.
If he goes into a hibernation like state to last as long as he does, he will most likely do nothing but breathe once and hour for a very long time. It is an emergency thing to do and it really isn’t good for his body to do it for long.
I’d also like to point out once again that Henry’s regenerative ability is NOT like that of Wolverine’s. It’s several times as fast as a human’s, but he will NOT bounce back from any wound unless it’s minor, much like a normal human. It can take him months to grow back a limb, and weeks to recover from various other injuries (The average stab wound recovery time is the two to three weeks. Henry would recover fully over the course of a better part of a week).

▼ | PERSONALITY : |
First and foremost, Sierra is an inherently curious individual with far too much energy for her own good. From a young age she could never sit still, which only worsened when her power manifested at the age of five. From then on, she would simply send copies of herself to school, while others would wreck havoc on the neighborhood, house, and home. Her years of experience and literal lifetimes of study have made her an expert in hundreds of skills from cooking to engineering, and yet despite this she carries herself with modesty and no shortage of humility. Her people skills are top notch, and she has found that she far prefers being quietly intelligent rather than a mouthy know it all. She abides by the rule of spreading knowledge wherever she goes, but speaking only when necessary.
Sierra, thus, is kind. She has reached the far end of the Dunning-Kruger curve and knows that even if she knows as much as she does, she still knows nothing. A firm believer that every person she'll ever meet knows something that she doesn't. Her excitement is infectious in nature, her antics and passion often swallowing other people up whole in her energy to do something. Everything she does, she goes with gusto, laughing a full bellied and unladylike laugh, smiling with all teeth, and moving with a flow that is both childishly passionate and wisely experienced, as if she is a master craftsman excitedly creating their magnum opus. This weird combination has often landed her with a few demeaning insults thrown her way about being ADHD or hyperactive. She can be a lot at times, especially to introverts, and has difficulty reigning her ever buzzing mind and energy in- especially when it is alight with many conversations at once. Some people are threatened by her intelligence, or skill set, and the child in her that just wants to be accepted aches with unease and desire to be liked- often resulting in her overcompensation (which therein usually results in her making things worse). She is still not quite sure how to deal with challenges like these, but if there is one thing that has been driven home in her life, it's that there's nothing she cant do if she sets her mind to it. After all... better busy than bored.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Due to her power, Sierra is an extremely diversely skilled and well rounded individual. She has so much time during the day that her opportunity cost for doing things is far lower than most.
Media- Sierra is extremely well versed in all forms of media- movies, books, magazines, video games, comics, you name it and she has almost definitely seen it, read it, or played it and will understand the reference. She is also a massive history and sports buff. If you go up against her on trivia night, she is incredibly sorry for the massive ass whooping you are about to receive.
Languages- Sierra is proficient in reading and writing in eight languages to an advanced degree: English, French, Spanish, German, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and Arabic. She is capable of reading dozens others to a fairly basic degree, but cannot speak them having dedicated more time to the other aforementioned languages that she found more intuitive to her.
Music- Sierra is quite literally her own band, and she is capable of reading, writing, arranging, and performing with several instruments such as the keyboard, electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums, all sorts of brass and wind instruments, and other stringed instruments. She is also a vocalist- being an alto, and while she's good she is not particularly show stopping or abnormally good.
Art- Sierra is an exceptionally well practiced artist with both pen and pencil as well as paintbrush. She regularly does paintings or sketches of various people, places, and things preferring to draw what she sees instead of what she imagines. Other forms of art she regularly partakes in as well, such as photography and dancing.
Cooking- Sierra is a master chef.
Chess- Chess, and other strategy games are some of Sierra's favorite pastimes. She regularly plays against herself and other people if they are willing to go up against her.
Technology- While not quite as common a skill for young women in her age bracket, Sierra's ever inquisitive brain has taken a liking to anything relating to computers and software. She can build computers, solder electronics, and code entire websites. She is certified for Microsoft Office, the Adobe suit, and is an excellent video editor. While she is not certified, she is extremely experienced in IT and often finds herself diagnosing and solving advanced and simple technical problems.
Well Studied- Years of reading has led Sierra to be extremely knowledgeable in a plethora of subjects such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, history, zoology, astronomy, physics, pathology, psychology, among many other subjects. She is by no means certified and doesn't regard herself as a substitute for a licensed and practiced individual, but she does possess bachelors degrees in several of the aforementioned subjects.
Naturalist- Years of curiosity has landed her in the wild and in some fairly compromising positions. She's fairly adept as an outdoorswoman. Years of camping, bird watching, hiking, fishing, and generally exploring has made her an excellent survivalist. She is very familiar with most species of animals and plants in all areas of the USA and knows all of the constellations and other celestial objects in the sky. In edition to this, she is also experienced with bow hunting- although she is far from an expert huntswoman.
List may be expanded.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Most of Sierra's life before the age of five was fairly standard, all things considered. She was a normal child, who did normal things. She was smart, sure, but she wasn't abnormally so for her age. She slept, ate, socialized and went to school just like many of her other friends.
Life changed when her father, an esteemed chemist, brought home a delta crystal that resulted in Sierra becoming the metahuman she is today. The results weren't immediately apparent, instead her abilities manifested a day or so later when she needed to the bathroom but didn't want to miss out on cake at a friend's birthday party. Life was... well, never quite the same after that.
This first use of her abilities resulted in quite a madhouse at first, with her family not knowing quite what to do with her and her being a terrified, traumatized mess of a little girl who suddenly lost her entire friend group in the span of an afternoon. Eventually though, life fell into a sort of rhythm. She was, and always had been an only child in a fairly well off family. She went to school again, this time her mother placing her in an boarding school while she also was home doing a variety of other activities from reading to horse riding. Life was eventful, and exhausting for her family, ultimately resulting in a divorce between her mother and father that was neither her fault nor theirs. Life was suddenly just too weird and too stressful. It's been years now, and she has worked through the feelings of grief and self blame for the most part, and has come to accept her parent's choice.
She bounced between the families for a while initially- mostly as a result of law. She tried stay at both their homes at once, but found that this often worsened the situation as it was her power that had caused the rift in her previously happy family. She took up quieter, smaller, and much less expensive hobbies for a time, with her now being close to fourteen years old, in an effort to not exacerbate the problem.
The day she turned fifteen, she joined the workforce- finding any and every possible job that would take her early so she could earn some extra cash to further her immense list of hobbies without driving a greater rift between herself and her parents. Working many jobs, and often, resulted in other more work related hobbies such as starting a small time law and garden care business in her neighborhood. This was her first introduction to gardening, and more importantly, finances. Naturally, she dove head first in to satisfy her ever prying mind. Day and night, rain or shine- often earning the nickname "Miracle Girl" for her seemingly incredible work ethic and regular use of miracle grow.
Turning sixteen only broadened her horizons further, and since she did not have space in her driveway for more than a few cars she often found herself carpooling or ubering with herself to various jobs- oftentimes playing it off as a case of twins or triplets if anyone happened to notice that she was dropping herself off at work. Her resume was beginning to seem more like a laundry list than an actual resume at this point, and that's when big brother started paying attention. She graduated university in just under three years, taking her typical 'divide and conquer' strategy to college and finishing with... several degrees. Since leaving university for the time being, Sierra has relocated to LA in an effort to job search for a more long term career(s).

▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Sierra has the ability to clone herself to an unprecedented degree and is able to split and re-merge at a fast pace similar to mitosis. Each version of Sierra operates independently, but harbors a rudimentary hive mind that allows clones to send directives to one another. Each clone is indistinguishable from the others. This allows Sierra to do multiple tasks simultaneously or to cover a large area.
Sierra has no original or main copy, and killing or injuring one single copy does not harm or impede other copies. If one copy is dismembered but still alive, it can recombine with another copy without issue. A copy that is killed or dies cannot be recombined, and acts like a regular corpse. Because of this, while individual copies of her can be drugged or damaged in the grand scheme of things Sierra is technically immune to the effects of drugs, both medicinal and otherwise, and alcohol so long as another copy of her is present. Sierra is intuitively able to locate and coordinate with her copies, but in an event where Sierra is unable to locate or recombine with a copy, she can send a directive that removes its survival instincts, and the clone usually expires shortly after.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Recombination requires physical touch.
Sierra is limited to a maximum of sixty copies at a time, and can only produce sixty copies in a 24 hour period.
An injured or impeded copy cannot duplicate itself.
Cloned copies cannot share their memories remotely with one another, they must recombine to share anything other than directives.
Sierra's body, blood, and organs are extremely similar, genetically, to a human's, but different significantly enough to disqualify her from organ or blood donation.
Cloning only clones the body. Clothing not included. Because of this she almost exclusively clones herself in private.
Sierra and all of her copies are completely sterile.
All clones must be within a 100 mile distance of one another, otherwise losing their survival instincts and usually perish shortly after. She instinctually knows when she is approaching this threshold and maintains appropriate proximity from her other selves.
Sierra does not have any advanced understanding of where or how her other clones are. She must recombine to inherit the information of a clones previous whereabouts.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
All of Sierra's clones are completely human and aside from being clones and capable of cloning themselves have absolutely no standout features or traits. No super strength, no shitting lasers, no blood manipulation- nothing. They are as durable as normal people and are mostly canon fodder in any form of combat.

▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS : |
As an agent, Elise is extremely practical and determined to prove her worth at FAMA. She struggles with her loyalty to the agency and also to her people, which can often lead to issues between herself and her mentor. Her goal to succeed at FAMA is based upon her drive to protect as many innocents as possible. She is aware of the grey area between non-violent and dangerous deltahumans, but she also knows that humans and also FAMA have a gray area of morals too. She is still on the path to discovering where exactly her morals lie. Elise is also unafraid to speak her mind and is often reminded of the FAMA's list of rules and regulations. She's a young agent, but that also means that she can bring fresh ideas to the table and rely on her own wit and charm to get the job done.
With the temperament of a volcano, Elise is usually calm and dormant until things start heating up. It isn't wise to get in her way unless you want to deal with the consequences of her eruption. This happens rarely, and Elise is usually a cool individual that cares for everyone around her in a secret way. She doesn't make it obvious and usually shows her affection through acts of service and words of affirmation.
In her normal life outside of FAMA, Elise is an artistic and open person. She is driven by her own wishes and desires, but is willing to compromise if the other has different ideas. Elise has only a few close friends outside of FAMA because she has devoted most of her time to her work. In her free time she paints, goes on runs or walks around the city, and pays close attention to any news sources that still function in LA.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Elise was trained by FAMA and has learned skills such as:
Basic Self-Defense and Hand-to-Hand Combat, and the use of weapons such as guns, tasers, or sleep darts. She has briefly been trained how to use nullification collars and containment foam, but she hasn't had to use them in the field yet.
Attention to Detail: Elise must be able to remember important details about a target when presented with their file or discover them on her own in what could be a second worth of contact with the target.
Surveillance: Eli may be able to do this with her ability, but she must be able to track or follow a target without being discovered. If she is to tap into a person's perception that may be doing illegal activity in a building or designated area, Eli must keep them within her range without detection and without losing her connection to them.
Adaptation: Elise must be able to adapt to certain situations lest she fail her assignment. Adaptation can also include adapting to a certain "character" when she is undercover. Elise often has to use this skill to dress appropriately so that the target does not catch onto her.
Self Reliance: While Eli adheres to the orders of her FAMA mentors, she also has to be able to work independently to get results.
Lock Picking: Eli may use this more than she is instructed to.

▼ | BACK STORY : |
Elise's father and mother were born and raised in LA. Her father became a policeman that worked closely with FAMA agents to secure the peace. Her mother was a deltahuman whose powers manifested when she was twenty She was a type blue that could sense and alter the emotions of another. While she used her empathy to understand the emotions of those around her, she never once used abilities for the wrong purposes. Which is why Eli'se father fell in love with her. Not because she made him, but because he trusted her not to.
The two met, married, and settled down with a modest life in the San Fernando Valley. Soon enough, Elise was born. Her childhood was fairly normal. Despite the whispers from her classmates and neighbors that her mother was a type-blue Elise was able to have many friends and succeed in school. The mix of having a cop for a father and a deltahuman for a mother meant that Eli was aware of the dangers but also felt empathy for her mother's kind. She was aware that at some point she may manifest, but the years went on and nothing happened. So, Eli continued to live a carefree life.
Somewhere in the summer between sophomore and junior year of high school, her father began to change. He spent a lot of time at work, and when he came home her mother could instantly tell that something was stressing him. He never gave a reason, and instead just told the two to not worry and that everything was okay. Her mother didn't believe him, but Eli trusted and admired her father too much to go against his wishes. He was her role model. She even planned to follow in his footsteps and become a policewoman after she graduated school. Little did she know that the next two years would send her on a different path. Life happens, people are lost, and things change. That's the way it goes.
Except her entire life changed in one single night. The Wessex home was quiet. Eli was fast asleep after a long day at Santa Monica with her friends. Her father had gotten home in time for dinner. A delicious meal of shrimp and crab slathered in Old Bay. Afterwards the family enjoyed an unconventional game night of poker until it was time for bed. Eli was in the midst of a dream that she finally beat her father in the game, when the sound of gunfire interrupted her victory speech.
Her powers manifested that night under the extreme stress of hiding from the men that broke into her home and murdered her parents. She barely got herself out alive, and she ran until her feet were bloody and she'd eluded them. She didn't even return home until morning, where she was instantly greeted by the police and FAMA agents. To this day it remains unknown who targeted her family, but Eli is convinced that it was not just a simple robbery. It had something to do with her father and what he'd been doing for the last few months. What she did know was that one of the men was a deltahuman.
From that day, Eli was a ward of the state and a known deltahuman. She moved in with a foster family, and while she couldn't sense emotions like her mother she knew that deep down they feared her. Almost everyone did now. So, she focused her attention towards her future career. Instead of a policewoman, Eli now set her sights on becoming a FAMA agent so that no other person would have to suffer at the hands of human or deltahuman again. She was aware that her inheritance from her mother would cause a challenge, but she pushed herself harder and harder to prove herself trustworthy and capable. With no one else to turn to, FAMA was her only goal.
A few years went by, and Elise was finally accepted at FAMA. She now works in the field as an undercover agent. She's secretly been a part of the acquisition of dangerous criminals, but her name is only mentioned once in the files. She simply is assigned a target, finds them, and gathers as much incriminating evidence she can until FAMA has enough information to take them down. On the side she still regularly sees a therapist, and paints to relieve herself of any stress or worries. The earthquakes that shook LA battered the city, and Eli sympathizes for those affected by it. In her opinion, now is the time that she should take on a larger role at FAMA. With the city in chaos and numerous gangs causing it, Eli is determined to step up to the challenge.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
While Elise did become an agent of FAMA, her work within the organization is heavily monitored and restricted. Eli feels like she can do more than what they've allowed her, but they just won't listen. Now that the city has descended into chaos, will Eli accept her place at FAMA, or will she step up to the challenge to protect all people within LA? Can she really prove herself? A question that she has wanted answered since the day she manifested is: who was responsible for the attack on her family?

▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Elise's ability has been deemed perception manipulation by the government officials tasked with categorizing deltahuman abilities, but under the surface Eli's ability uses two separate functions of the mind to form one coherent ability:
Sensation Manipulation: With every second, our brains are receiving stimuli for sensations such as sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Those sensations are then sent to the brain, where the mind processes these sensations and determines how they will be perceived. Every sensation must pass a threshold limit in order for the mind to notice it. Eli's ability allows her to access these sensations and manipulate the threshold limit for those stimuli by either raising or lowering it. For Example: She could lower the threshold of someone with a paper cut to feel stronger pain, or increase the threshold of someone's photo-receptors to blind them.
While this method is effective, there are limits to the amount a threshold can be manipulated. This is where Eli's ability affects the perception of this stimuli as well.
Perception Manipulation: In theory, the mind tends to group the senses together so that it is easier to process. This allows the mind to interpret similarity, proximity, and continuity, of the size, shape, brightness, and distance of an object. This can affect balance, depth perception, and the awareness of the subject's surroundings. In terms of pain and the sensation of touch, the brain receives the stimuli from the nerves in varying amounts. The effect of these sensations can be altered by the mind's perception of them. For example, if heat was applied to a subject's arm the mind could translate that heat as pain if it thinks the arm is burning, or the mind can perceive it as a warm welcome on a winter day. Likewise, touch can be perceived as pain or pleasure as well. It all depends on the mind's interpretation of these stimuli. By manipulating the perception of another's senses, Eli is able to create auditory and optical illusions as well as illusions of pain.
Potential Uses Include:
Auditory, sensory, and optical illusions
Affect the mind's perception of balance, which could induce dizziness or nausea
Pain Reduction/Enhancement
Tapping into the vision or physical feelings of another
▼ | LIMITS : |
While Eli's ability has many different uses, Eli is only able to create one to two illusions at a time without putting a large amount of strain on her physical and mental state. She is also unable to affect a subject unless they are within a 40 meter range. In terms of how many subject's she can affect at once without duress, Eli's lower limit is set at two subjects and her upper limit is at most five subjects. To stretch into the upper limits of her powers will send Eli into a heavy state of exhaustion like any other deltahuman. To simplify, Eli is able to produce a much stronger, longer lasting illusion over fewer subjects than she can with a larger group.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Like any illusion, there is no actual physical damage inflicted upon a subject. Convincing a subject's mind that the illusions are real depends on the will and strength of a person's mind as well. Subtle errors in illusions may give them away if Elise is under stress or multitasking.
If Elise is using her ability to tap into the perception of an individual, she is unable to see through her own eyes as well. This means that she is open to any potential attack, and must remain in place or she'll get herself hurt.
If Elise is tapping into the sensation of an individual, she will also feel whatever they do. This means that if someone is hit or shot by a bullet, Eli will feel as if it has happened to her as well. Any pain she may experience will linger for a few minutes until her energy has dispersed from the individual's mind. The stronger the pain, the longer it will last.
While this has only happened once so far, Eli will begin to have troubles discerning reality from fantasy if she has used her ability too much. She may convince her own mind that certain illusions or sensations are present if she has reached her limits too often.

Tall and slim, Frankie has the look about her of someone that used to work out a lot, and has since let themselves go. ▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS : |
Frankie Morrow's greatest flaw is pride. She was raised in a military family, and the fact that she has since been expelled from FAMA is a source of shame. As such, she is unlikely to ever admit weakness. As such she often feels the need to prove herself to new people, whether that be through hostility or just being a general bitch to those around her. Though those that she doesn't perceive as a threat to her pride she will be relatively personable with, up to and including sharing her high as long as she doesn't feel they are representative of authority.
▼ | SKILLS : |
FAMA Agent: She may be an ex-FAMA agent, but she served for nearly a decade, that means much of the training and knowledge is still second-nature to her. She is relatively skilled in hand to hand combat and marksmanship (though a little rusty) and has experience in dealing with a variety of Deltahumans.
Connoisseur of Highs: With several years of access to the FAMA evidence locker and a thirst for knowledge, Frankie has developed a great deal of knowledge and understanding when it comes to legal and illegal highs. She may not be a chemist, but if you're looking for advice on the perfect combination of uppers and downers, Frankie's your girl.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Frances Morrow was, to all intents and purposes, a normal human when she joined FAMA. Having grown up in a police family, it was only a matter of time before she joined a law enforcement agency. Beginning with a brief career as a beat cop then detective, she applied for a transfer to FAMA after an altercation with a senior officer. Eager to avoid the inevitable bad press should the truth come out, the LAPD brass pulled strings in the agency and her transfer was approved on short notice.
It was at some point during her years at the agency that she manifested as a Deltahuman, even Frances is not quite sure when. All she knows is the first time she successfully triggered her ability. Unlike many Deltahumans Frances is not able to call on her abilities at will, requiring a specific trigger. In this case it seemed that her trigger, or indeed, triggers, are various controlled substances.
Frances probably wasn't cut out to be a FAMA agent, struggling with the pressures and stress of the job. She somehow coped, mostly through alcohol, until her partner was killed in a confrontation with a hostile Deltahuman. That night, while drunk, she went looking for something stronger than alcohol, and found it in the form of a small yellow pill. It was the first time her ability had triggered, and she experienced a sensation of almost unfathomable power.
She went searching for the same dealer again the next day but she'd been so drunk . When she found neither hide nor hair of him she tuned into the news to discover there had been several Deltahuman related deaths in that neighbourhood. She managed several weeks clean, touching nothing stronger than wine or beer, before bringing in a Deltahuman dealer. Several packets went missing from his stash on its trip to the evidence locker. In sampling them during a weekend long bender Frances realised that her powers were triggered by almost any recreational drug she could get her hands on.
This went on for several years with Frances being regarded by her superiors as an excellent agent, almost fanatical in her dedication. Nobody seemed to detect the subtle signs that gave her away as a high-functioning addict for a long time. That was until a year before the Incident. Discrepancies were noted in evidence turned into the locker and several reports turned in by Frances and her partner. The investigation dragged on for nearly six months until Frances was summarily dismissed from FAMA in disgrace, though fortunately avoided serious jail time.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Frankie is already well on her way to being a full on junkie, so I want her to fall all the way down to rock bottom before she manages to turn things around and start recovering. There are also a lot of drugs she hasn't tried yet, so can always explore some other possible effects as well.
⫸ P O W E R I N F O R M A T I O N ⫷

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Green.
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Frances has a rather unique ability that requires a specific trigger to activate at all. Upon ingesting, injecting or inhaling recreational substances she undergoes a change, her body using the substance in question as fuel for a variety of Deltahuman abilities. These abilities seem to be mostly stable, depending on the drug in question, and she can manifest abilities from any of the Deltahuman classifications. It is possible to combine the effects of multiple substances at once, but comes with the double risk of both overdose, and ashing. She has some degree of resistance to the effects of the drugs while using her abilities, but still experiences all of the effects, albeit to a slightly more limited degree than a normal human.
Marijuana: Frances can envelop herself in a cloud of thick smoke, anyone entering that smoke will discover it is in effect the smoke from a joint, but thick enough to at least partially obscure vision. Anyone breathing in this smoke will discover themselves experiencing the effects of marijuana very quickly. Anabolic Steroids: Taking any sort of anabolic steroids has a noticeable effect upon Frances, firstly she grows six inches and bulks out considerably. Secondly she gains increased muscle mass and density which has the effect of increasing her strength and resilience to roughly four times that of the average Olympic weightlifter. She is tough enough to shrug off punches and even small calibre bullets that hit at an angle. Unfortunately this increased mass means she moves much slower, she might hit a lot harder, but it's easier to avoid her blows. She also suffers from increased aggression and a difficulty in moderating her anger while under the effects of this particular ability.
Amphetamines: Most amphetamines enhance France's senses and reaction speed by a factor of five. She can hear a whisper across a football stadium and move fast enough to dodge a bullet. On the other hand, she is not particularly accustomed to these hyperactive senses and can suffer from overload very easily in this state.
Cocaine: Frances gains the ability to generate and control white flames while high on cocaine. She is immune to these flames, and is able to project them from her hands in streams of fire or as fireballs. However, once the fire has caught somewhere she has no control over it. These white flames will then slowly become normal fire, to which she has no immunity.
Opiates:Opiate's such as heroin or morphine allow Frances to project her mind out of her body and travel up to a mile away as a mental projection. This projection can be visible or invisible, but has no way to physically interact with the world, though she can speak in this form. Her body is left effectively defenceless while she is mentally projecting.
Ecstasy: Taking ecstasy grants Frances notable empathic abilities, she can sense the emotions of those around her and even influence them to a certain extent. She is capable of affecting an area up to thirty feet in diameter, though the more people in that area the more dilute her effect. Thirty people would barely feel any difference at all, while one might well have their emotions forcibly changed. Unfortunately Frances is often unable to differentiate the emotions coming in from her own, and can quickly grow confused and agitated from the conflicting emotions.
Ketamine: Frances gains a limited ability to distort space, allowing her to increase or decrease distances, walk on walls and make eternal corridors. The more drastic the changes the more time she needs to spend in an area or the more ketamine she needs to have taken.
LSD: Tripping on LSD is always fun, it's more fun if you can share those illusions at will. While Frances will be unable to control what hallucinations are appearing to her, she will be able to share those hallucinations with others. The more potent the LSD, or the more she takes, then the more real these illusions become until they have an actual physical presence. Unfortunately Frances has only limited control of these hallucinations, it is almost as likely that they will hurt her as anyone else. They must also always stay within her field of view, once she cannot see them, they simply blink out of existence, though they may simply reappear when she looks in that direction again.
▼ | LIMITS : |
France' ability is entirely dependent on the drug she has taken, the effects of each will last for no more than an hour. On top of that, without a supply of recreational substances she is effectively a normal human being. That is in addition to the limits of each individual ability.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Frances' abilities only last as long as her supply does, and for a maximum of one hour. She also has the disadvantage that she's often dealing with the effects of being high while using her powers, which makes her far less effective as a combatant as a rule.

Her nose is straight and narrow with a stud piercing and her make up is glitter eyeshadow in a variety of colors with a gloss lip.
In-Ah is generally angry at herself, at her family, at the world, and at anyone that looks at her the wrong way. It doesn't take a lot to set her off. She's confrontational, has a hairline trigger, isn't afraid to say whatever she wants at the top of her head. If that includes telling someone to kill themselves she'll say it. She's the first in a fight, because she starts them, whether with her words or with anything she can swing. Her anger is a defense mechanism. She can't help feeling like the everyone is out to get her, since she's been dealt a shit hand at life. Fuck anyone else that might have it worse. What she's feeling is more important. She's deeply insecure about who she is and feels unlovable, because her father couldn't love her, her mother didn't think she was important enough to save her own life, and her grandmother thought of her as a test subject, so why would anyone find her worth loving. Can't disappoint anyone when what they see is what they get, so she intentionally makes others see her in a negative light. She's kept up this act for so long that she doesn't know who she is anymore.

▼ | BACK STORY : |
In-Ah's story starts before she's born, like sixty-three years, but that can wait. Instead, let's start when she's six years old and her mother slapped her father out of frustration. See their marriage was an arrangement between her grandfathers when they were newly married to their wives, drunk, happy, and making a new life for themselves in America. Problem with arranged marriages is that man and wife may or may not fall in love with each other. Her mother tried, but her father wasn't into her. In-Ah thinks it's cause he's a psychopath that can't feel anything and if she wasn't angry all the time she'd be inclined to believe she's the same way, since she looks like him. But she's getting ahead of herself. Back to when she was six. Her parents got a divorce and she wanted to live with her father. Sweet little girl thought he'd be lonely without her. Her mother left her there and so began In-Ah's lonely desperation for her father's attention. She got good grades, excelled in softball, learned to cook and clean, pressed his suits for every day of the week, things her mother used to do, but nothing she did got an ounce of praise from him.
He was the owner of an upstart technology company that made bank before he got divorced. New money brought the attention of gold diggers, cause no one else would want her father for any other reason. He remarried three times in three years. Each woman didn't want her around and either flat out ignored her like her father or treated her like Cinderella. His last wife was the one that stuck around, because she was just like him. Ambitious, emotionless, and cared less about intimacy and relationships that weren't business oriented. Children weren't in her plan, so she convinced her father to give her to her mother. In-Ah came home from school with her stuff packed and her mother waiting for her in the driveway. She didn't want to go, but when her father barely said a word when she begged and screamed to let her stay, her heart broke.
For the next four years, In-Ah grew close to her mother. She felt freer than ever, softball became her life, she didn't have to act mature for her mother's attention, because she always had it. If there was a problem, she could talk about it. If she had questions, she could ask almost anything. The only questions she wouldn't answer was anything pertaining to Deltahumans. In-Ah found a fascination with them, because she thought they were badass and had lingering thoughts about if her father would've love her if she could do cool things like they could. But her mother wasn't having any of it. She didn't discuss what Deltahuman related injuries that came through the ER. In-Ah tried to do her own research, but her mother blocked sites related to Deltahumans and she didn't have internet on her phone. She could only use the computers at school for a limited time and lord forbid she borrowed books about them. Her mother's irrational avoidance of Deltahumans made her afraid to continue research lest she get sent away again.
When she was thirteen, her mother was mugged and killed at a bus stop early in the morning after her twelve hour nurse shift at the hospital. After that nothing mattered. She quit softball and became numb, though her rage simmered beneath the surface. Her father didn't take her in, turns out he moved from Koreatown to Beverly Hills and had another kid. So she was sent to her maternal grandmother, whom she'd never met for whatever reason her mother had kept her away. She lived in the rough part of Koreatown, lived off her retirement funds and the left over insurance money from her grandfather. Her grandmother was sweet, but a little weird. She was forbidden from going in the basement and she always wrote in a worn leather notebook. In-Ah tried to be around her, but she couldn't bring herself to connect with someone new. Her last year in middle school was spent with friends trying to talk to her and be supportive, but she wasn't receptive at all. Every time she was invited out, she kept to herself and kind of killed the mood. She stopped being invited out and her friends withdrew from her. Thoughts of not being likable came and went, until they didn't go away. She was unlikable, horrible, her father didn't even want her and someone took her mother from her for the twenty in her wallet. God had jokes, but He wasn't done laughing yet.
In high school she fell in with the wrong crowd. Kids that ditched class, drank and did drugs under the bleachers, and got into petty fights. They were just as shitty as her. Her grandmother scolded her once out of obligation, but didn't bother after the first time she was called for a fight like she was waiting for something to happen. In-Ah went to a party thrown by one of her "friends" and got into the worst fight she's ever been in. It started in the kitchen and traveled out to the lawn where she was chilling with her friends and toking up. Some dude fell on top of her, she and her friends jumped on him and the person that the guy was fighting. Dude's friends jumped them and it was brawl in the middle of the neighborhood. Lightweight that she was it took nothing for her to get knocked over and trampled on. Creatures that were her carbon copy sprung out of her fingers and took on the people brawling with her friends. She passed out after a clone threw the last punch. She came to in a hospital, bruised, and aching. Her grandmother at her side with the proudest look she'd ever seen. She barely got a word out before she explained how she was third generation Type-Blue Deltahuman. Her mother never understood the importance of it, she said. That this was a gift to praise, she said. In-Ah barely kept up. After she was discharged from the hospital, she got a more cohesive explanation.
Her grandmother was a first generation Deltahuman in 1963. She got her abilities while working in a lab in South Korea experimenting on the crystals. Her abilities were to cast small illusions. Like hide small objects she didn't want anyone to see, or make them see small things that weren't there. She and her husband, with their best friends, her paternal grandparents, moved to America where there were better testing facilities. They had her mother and they were excited to see if she had inherited a power. Her mother spent afternoons after school taking test after test, so they could learn how powers manifested in children. Nothing came until she was fifteen and was able to create objects from her imagination. Apparently her mother hated her powers, horrified by what she could do and didn't want to be a lab rat anymore. Not that she had to worry about it, when the lab was shut down and the crystals were taken. Her grandmother managed to sneak out a blue crystal. When her mother graduated high school, she nearly ran away from home, never mind that she didn't have anywhere else to go, but her parents stopped her by making a deal. If she married their friends' son, then they'd get out of her life for good. Her grandmother revealed that they kept track of her mother through In-Ah's father and told him to keep tabs on whatever children they had for abilities. They lost track when she moved in with her mother. Her grandmother was happy she came to live with her, because she was there for her power manifesting. In-Ah didn't know what she was talking about. What power? Turns out she knocked out everyone between the front lawn and house. The doctor that saw to her in the hospital was one of her grandmother's colleagues and tested her blood. The results came back positive. What? So all this time her grandmother didn't care about her, and let her do all the shit she did in hopes that her power would come through?
God finally got to the punchline. In-Ah's rage boiled over. Did anyone want her? Her father didn't give a shit, her mother would rather die than use the one thing that could save her life, and her grandmother was just as shitty now as she was back then when her mother dipped out. Fuck it. If no one wants to give a shit, then she'll make sure no one ever gets the chance. In-Ah didn't stick around after that. She was sixteen when she ran away and stayed with one of her "friends" whose parents were too strung out on drugs to realize there was someone else squatting in their house. She dropped out of high school too and got a job at McDonald's to save money for her own place. That job didn't last long, so she moved from on job to the next, until she was eighteen when she got a job working as a phone sex operator. She never got her own place either. She just moved from "friend" to "friend", toxic relationship to toxic relationship, and spent her money on clothes. When LA got fucked up she was on her way home after a rave the night before.

▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : | Phantasm Puppetry.
In-Ah's hair and eyes change color when she uses her power. She has the ability to create translucent copies of herself that mimic her current appearance down to the clothes. These Puppets are capable of a wide range of feats and she can control them to do whatever she wants them to do. They're connected to her by a tether, a near-invisible cable that connects to her hands, and she can create one puppet for each finger. They're nearly impossible to see. When people look at them they'll appear like vaguely shaped masses of blurry air, except under certain kinds of lights, then they appear white. They can interact with the environment like a person - they can attack, grab stuff, etc - using a telekinesis. They're no stronger than In-Ah, however when people touch them and they touch people in turn they feel like glass. They also have flight; they can float freely in In-Ah's range and she can see, hear, and feel what they do.
Levitation.
In-Ah has a limited self telekinetic ability that allows her to float up to twelve feet into the air. It's not Superman flight; she won't be able to travel any faster than she normally could run, but it's still a useful ability.
▼ | LIMITS : |
The Puppets are attached to In-Ah by a string, and can travel up to one hundred feet away from her. If they try to go further they won't be able to go any faster and will yank In-Ah. The Puppets aren't completely invisible, just hard to see. Any type of UV light will reveal them, and they are easier to see up close than a mile away where they'd be impossible to see. In-Ah can only create ten at a time, but if one gets destroyed she'd have to wait an hour before she can summon them again. If she tries to go beyond her limit they'll instantly shatter and it'll hurt. The Puppets' max speed is as fast as In-Ah can normally run.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
The primary weakness of the Puppets is the tether that connects them to In-Ah. If it's severed the puppets will disappear, but she can instantly remake them. The tether is one aspect of her ability that she cannot alter and will follow the Puppets where ever they go. The Puppets are as durable as glass - regardless of what size they are - all it'll take is one solid hit to shatter them instantly. She feels a phantom pain whenever they get damaged. She also sees through their eyes, but she can't see through her own eyes and her senses are dead if she uses the ability too long.

Mason exhibits an aura of stillness and calm; he walks with his shoulders relaxed, arms hung out of the pockets of his loose, comfy jacket, and a serene, almost sleepy expression worn on his face. He’s fairly tall at 6’ 2”, with a half-decent build (somewhat fit with a bit of a gut because of his desk job), and is covered in piercings and tattoos that he makes no effort to hide. In spite of that, his presence in a room is barely above that of furniture, and he’s happy to keep it that way.
He has naturally tanned skin - owing to his half filipino background. His face is semi-sharp in frame, completed with an unremarkable nose and mouth, eyebrows thick and dense, and a strong jawline lightly peppered with a bit of facial hair. Dark circles permanently sit below slightly thin, upward slanted eyes thanks to a harsh combination of working late nights and insomnia. His hair is styled in an undercut and unkempt textured top with a bit at the front having grown long enough to brush just above his non-prescription black rimmed glasses. Behind his left ear is a scar that runs down his neck from a surgical operation due to a skin defect at birth.
Apart from basic hygiene, he’s not one to care too much about his appearance on a day-to-day basis, though it’s mainly because it’s too much extra work for him to be bothered with rather than a lack of interest. Coloured contacts are the one exception for him. He enjoys sporting a pair of glasses or sunglasses for their look, so he’s willing to put in a bit of effort for that by regularly wearing contacts.
▼ | ATTIRE : |
Mason prioritizes comfort and convenience above all else, but he makes an effort to look decently presentable, if not a bit too casual. His workplace being a tech startup, this isn’t a problem.
His typical outfit consists of a slightly loose t-shirt or sleeveless, a light puffy jacket (air conditioning at work is unreasonably strong), cargo pants, and a pair of sneakers, each of which he has about 2-3 of at home that he cycles between.

▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS : |
On the outset, Mason has a bit of a ghostly disposition that he likes to embellish for fun; calm, secretive, and has a tendency to walk in and out of people’s presence without them noticing. In spite of that, he’s quite friendly; his relaxed and patient temperament make him easy to talk to, given that his enigmatic nature doesn’t scare you off. However, while he is amicable, he’s not exactly a smooth talker. He can only speak in an articulate manner when he’s making a conscious effort to do so. When he lets loose a bit , he’s much more emotive and bumbling - almost childlike - and is easily flustered.
His secretive behaviour is rarely intended to be malicious or deceptive however. Apart from the comfort in having his motives under wraps, he’s thoroughly uncomfortable with other people - even those he’s closest to - knowing about his internal problems. In contrast to how he presents himself to others, he is far more prone to negative emotions than he lets on, but chooses to suppress and bottle them up. He’s well aware of his problems but will at most, use them to joke about himself.
Mason has a strange but close affinity for unnecessary complexity; he loves fiction with layers of symbolism, and much of the tattoos on his body reflects that. He sees this affinity as a representation of himself as well, best illustrated in his tendency to overthink his actions in even the simplest of social interactions. Mason is deeply perceptive of other people’s behaviour, but he can’t apply his observations without a plan; forced improvisation will cause him to overwhelm himself with his own thoughts.
On the upside, when he does have to put this to strategic use and has the preparation time to do so, he can be very effective at subtly getting others to do what he wants. Unfortunately, this natural inclination for manipulation bleeds into his behaviour with people he’s close to as well, the guilt of which weighs heavily on him.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Programming: He taught himself programming at the age of 15 as a hobby, continued his education of it through a Computer Science program in college, and currently has had a total of 3 years of professional experience as a developer (please ask to see his resume). He specializes in backend and his favorite programming language is Python.
Housework & Cooking: He’s had to manage the household and take care of his siblings since he was a child so it comes naturally to him.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Mason was born in Brooklyn, New York, in a family of 6: mother, father, a younger sister, and two younger brothers. Both his parents had 9-5s, so he and his siblings were latchkey kids since they started school. On an average weekday, his parents would leave before their children woke up. Mason would get up before the others to make breakfast and help get his siblings ready to head out. Their neighborhood wasn’t particularly dangerous and their school was only a few blocks away, but as a small child walking to school with no one but several smaller children he was responsible for, he couldn’t help but be scared and anxious. By 7, his parents would be back home with takeout for dinner, though it was sometimes only their mother.
Their mom, who worked as a waitress at a local diner, felt guilty about having to leave her children alone for so many hours of the day, and did her best to spend every hour of her freetime with them. Unfortunately, this gradually takes a toll on her health - not helped by her history of heart problems, but she refused to tell her children in her efforts to not worry them. Their father was cold and emotionally distant from what Mason could remember, but loved his wife. When their mom grew too sick to work, their father started to resent the children, but kept it internal.
Mason slowly learned to read his parents from their faces and body language; he was still a child so his observations weren’t very concrete, but the way they acted made him extremely uneasy. He had his own share of issues (stress and anxiety from school and having to take care of his siblings), but he refused to overburden his mom, he wasn’t close to his father, and he couldn’t relate to his peers at school. Everyone was tired and depressed, but nobody said a word, and that was how they lived for years, until their mom died.
Ever since then, their father would start coming home later, then, for days, and sometimes, weeks at a time. They had to move into a smaller apartment. Mason assumed the role of the guardian in the family, managing the household, helping out his siblings, and working part-time to help pay for living expenses. Fortunately, as they grew older his siblings were empathetic to the responsibility he had and a lot of work was taken off his shoulders. His father was incredibly neglectful, but at the very least, he kept paying the rent until the youngest child turned 18.
Mason had his first serious relationship in his first year as a Computer Science student at community college, but it wasn’t a healthy one. His partner had a worse life at home than he had, which he let be the excuse for her toxic behaviour as he allowed himself to be gaslighted and emotionally abused. Thankfully, he broke up with her after a year with support from his newly made friends in college.
After graduation, he realized that his experiences in his hometown had made the place seem bleak and depressing, so he decided to apply for a full-time job in other states and countries. One of his old bosses was acquainted with the owner of a startup in Los Angeles, who was hiring a backend developer; they got in touch the next day. Pay was suboptimal, but the two got along well, and he was more than willing to accept a low but manageable salary if he liked the people and environment.
Mason never knew of the existence of his Delta power until a few months after his move to LA. The Delta-Point energy in his body slowly built up over time, helped in part by the amount of stress he endured since childhood. One of his co-workers was a Type-Blue Deltahuman with moderate telekinetic abilities. He kept it a secret from those he wasn’t close with so nobody at work knew about it at first. One night, when him and Mason were walking to a bar, a drunk driver was about to run his car into them, but his co-worker stopped it with his Delta power, a feat he was previously far from capable of. He divulged his secret to Mason that night and after a bit of experimenting, realized that Mason’s presence doubled the weight limit his telekinetic ability would’ve allowed otherwise. The panic during the moment the car was about to hit them had activated Mason’s Manifestation Event.
Turns out, their boss witnessed them in action; in fact, he was a Deltahuman too - a Type-Red low-level pyrokinetic. Mason explored and developed his control over his abilities with the two during his years working at the startup. He often wondered how and when he was exposed to Delta-Point energy. Neither of his parents were Deltahumans as far as he knew; it could have been kept a secret from them but he couldn’t identify a reason why they would do that. Perhaps one of his parents weren’t biologically related to them, though he didn’t care enough to clarify that theory*.
*This isn’t relevant to his arc (because he never finds out the truth nor does he care to), but to clarify, his biological father is a Deltahuman and he’s not the same one he grew up with. He was also a Type-Green Deltahuman whose energy was left in the house Mason was born in, allowing him to be further exposed at a young age even when he wasn’t around.
▼ | PERSONAL ARC : |
Mason doesn’t have any external goals for now; his siblings live on the other side of the world, so the most he can do at the moment is try to contact them.
His main arc will be primarily an internal battle, where his facade of unending patience and calm is repeatedly challenged and worn thin over time, and his emotional suppression and passive hero complex grow more and more self-destructive. This could end tragically for him if he doesn’t have the willpower to pick himself back up at his lowest moment, but it’ll depend on how the story goes.

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Green
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Power Buffing Mason’s power is being able to temporarily loan others some of his Delta-Point energy, in order to boost their own Delta power. What this does to different Deltahumans changes from person to person as it depends on how a boost in energy will affect their abilities.
In order to exert his buff on someone he has to be able to see them. His irises will emit a subtle lime-green light when it’s in effect, only really visible in the dark so it’s generally easy to hide (especially with sunglasses). The glow does grow brighter the stronger the buff is however, and if he is straining himself, veins on his body will bulge through the skin and emit the same light. Once he loses eye contact with the person for 10 seconds, their borrowed energy will return back to him. This makes it much harder to buff multiple Deltahumans with this particular function.
The target of his energy loan isn’t limited to Deltahumans; he is also able to infuse objects with them, but instead of eye contact, he simply has to touch and hold onto the object (he refers to this as charging the object). When an object is charged, it acts as an extension of Mason himself. When held by another Deltahuman, the buff will activate like an external battery. Its strength and duration of buff is fixed depending on how Mason charged it and the amount of energy will only decrease when in contact with a Deltahuman (it runs out much slower if the Deltahuman isn’t using their powers). This ability consumes much more time than regular buffing, but it covers the limitations of eye contact. He keeps this a secret from others until the situation calls for it.
A currently unknown function of his power is the ability to transfer some of his energy to another Deltahuman and give them a permanent boost in power. He’ll discover this ability during the story.
▼ | LIMITS : |
How his power works pertaining to Delta-Point energy is as such:
His energy is divided into 2 parts: energy to loan for the buff (strength energy), and energy used up during the buff (duration energy).
E.g. If he loans 80% of his Delta-Point energy (strength energy) to someone, this will nearly double their abilities. However, the rest of his energy (duration energy) is used to keep this effect going, and with 20% left, he’d only be able to hold the buff for about 30 seconds before he risks ashing. The difference in strength of buff + duration given the amount of input is closer to exponential.
Short, heavy buff: 80:20 => about 2x power, 30 sec duration max Average buff: 50:50 => about 1.5x power, 10 min duration max Long, light buff: 20:80 => about 1.125x power, 1 h duration max
If these buffs are used beyond his time limit, he’ll risk ashing, in addition to a few other side effects (see weaknesses below).
This isn’t mathematically calculated because I want there to be a degree of flexibility and quantifying it to such an extent may not be fun. I’ll let the writer decide what each buff means for your character’s powers given the approximation above.
His buff will have no effect on permanent transformations, but the Deltahuman will still gain a boost in the amount of energy they have stored.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Mason needs a moderate level of concentration to be able to buff someone. If he’s aggressively interrupted (e.g. being attacked), he will likely experience a side effect called "leakage" in which his Delta-Point energy will overreact and start slowly seeping out of his body. This will not only reduce the maximum strength and duration of his buffs, but blur his vision, rendering his power much less effective overall. Continued use of his power in this state will also worsen it. This state will gradually lessen and go away within 3-6 hours, depending on how much he worsens it, and his Delta-Point energy will then return to his body.
Leakage can also occur if he overexerts himself, but it’s less likely. Apart from ashing, what’s more likely to happen if he uses over 97% of the energy in his body is that he may not be able to take back all the energy he loaned. A unique characteristic of his Delta-Point energy is the ability to adapt to other Deltahumans while retaining its connection with him. However, this characteristic will weaken exponentially when he has less than 3% of the energy left in his body, causing a small amount of it to be stolen by the Deltahuman being buffed. Naturally, he keeps this a secret.

▼ | PERSONALITY TRAITS : |
Hyperactive would probably be the first word that springs to mind when considering Cesar. He almost never seems to stop talking and certainly doesn't stop moving. If he's not fidgeting with something then it usually means something is very wrong. Well meaning, he's usually trying to do the right thing, even if he's annoying in the way he goes about it.
Seeing the best in everyone, it's pretty hard to get under this idealistic, naïve young man's skin. He tends to brush past other's faults and acts as though it is his personal mission to be everyone's best friend. With this comes an eagerness to help, he'll follow instructions to the letter, and beyond, probably getting under people's feet until they set him another task.
▼ | SKILLS : |
Medical Training: Cesar is a medical school graduate, which means he has an excellent grasp of human anatomy, medical procedure and the theory of how to treat a whole variety of maladies and injuries. Unfortunately the Incident occurred at the beginning of his internship, leaving him with virtually no practical experience of any of this.
Bilingual: As a proud Hispanic, it's only natural that Cesar would speak Spanish along with English.
Speed Chess: While Cesar's hyperactive nature meant he rarely sit's down for something so sedate as a board game, he was introduced to Chess by his grandfather. Cesar is an able player, though tends to rush headlong into it, relying on instinct rather than strategy.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Cesar was been born into a successful family, albeit a success that lasted . His grandfather was a respected surgeon, his parents successful entrepreneurs. Unfortunately misfortune only seemed to follow misfortune. The dot com bubble burst, destroying his parent's investments, followed by the revelation that his grandfather had been falsifying records in order to treat patients without the appropriate insurance. Noble perhaps, but enough to destroy the old man's career.
A gifted young man, Cesar could easily have been held back in school due to his hyperactivity, but somehow managed to parlay his boundless energy into ever more boundless achievement at school and College. Graduating a year early from High School, he had already made it clear that he intended to follow in his grandfather's once respected footsteps and become a doctor.
Though there was little hope of financial support from his family, Cesar managed to gain a scholarship that paid for his full ride through College and medical school, especially considering he managed to move a further year ahead when he graduated from College early. Medical school was a challenge for him, especially considering his youth and relative immaturity compared to many of the other candidates, but he did well there, thrived even.
It's just unfortunate that the Incident occurred on the day that it did. Caught up in the chaos, Cesar was one of many who missed the evacuation, though in his case he wanted to stay and help. Field hospitals wanted people with more experience, at least at first, and when they pulled out they went without him, leaving him stranded in the warzone LA seemed to have become.

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-White.
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Hole-Maker. Caesar's Type-White ability manifests in the form of a spatial warping power. It's hard to describe how his power actually functions because it ignores most laws of physics entirely - they're actually holes in reality itself. At will, Caesar can make space-warping holes appear in his environment (mainly on all inorganic objects). These holes are merely ordinary holes in the shape of a circle which gives the idea that a cleanly cut hole has been made into the object and will always lead to the other end of the object. This ability affects a wide range instantly (about eleven meters) and if he remains in one area while the effect persists it'll stretch out to about fifty-five meters. He can focus the effect on one area or object by touching it and channeling his power. These holes are seemingly harmless as, when Caesar drops the effect, they return to normal. Theses holes start out the size of a penny but they'll grow to be six feet in diameter - about wide enough for a person to fit through. If he touches the environment and channels his power he can instantly create a singular hole wide and deep enough for him to fit through. Caesar can bifurcate something if they're through the hole and he closes it.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Caesar's power can't affect organic matter, so that means people and trees and stuff are out of the question. While he can instantly create holes in the environment, they start out the size of a penny and he needs about thirty seconds to make them wide enough for him to fit through. Other than by touch, there's a distinct lack of control behind this ability. It'll instantly create holes in eleven meters that'll grow wide enough for him to fit through quickly. Unless he touches it of course and he can instantly create a hole wide enough for him to fit through.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Caesar has to be careful if he's hurt or weakened in any way the holes will become unstable and close. And, unfortunately, friendly fire wasn't turned on so he or a friend can lose a limb. In addition, it'll create holes in all objects in the area if he activates his area of effect ability - and he can inconvenience a friend this way.
