Riley stared at the back of his left hand, confused. Rose quartz crystals had started to form on his hand. He didn't understand why this was happening. Riley grabbed his phone and searched up if crystals can grow on a person. He quickly discovered it wasn't a good thing. He became increasingly anxious as he read stories of people becoming fully crystallized and dying. He then discovered the causes and cures for it. Riley knew he had feelings for a girl named Winter but didn't know if she had feelings for him. He decided to wait a while before confessing to Winter since the crystals were still only on the back of his hand. He went about his life for a bit before realizing putting it off wasn't a good idea. About two weeks after the crystals formed, Riley's whole left arm and some of his torso was covered in rose quartz crystal. He trembled as the realization set in that he needed to confess to her soon. Two more weeks went by and he finally found Winter again. His whole left arm, all of his torso and almost all of his right arm was covered in rose quartz crystals. Riley trembled as he called out to her, "H-hey Winter! Can you come here real quick?" Winter nodded and ran over to Riley. "What's up, Riley?" Winter asked calmly. Riley suddenly become super nervous and asked a question instead of confessing to her, "W-wanna hang out at my place this weekend?" Winter smiled and nodded before speaking, "Sure, it'd be fun. I gotta get going now. See you this weekend!" Winter smiled and ran off, waving at Riley before turning the corner. The weekend came and Riley sighed slightly, "She's not going to love me back... I can tell... I'll just become crystal when she leaves..." There was a knock on his door, startling Riley. He sighed slightly, hoping his completely crystal covered arms weren't noticeable and the few crystals on his neck weren't visible. "Come in!" Riley exclaimed slightly knowing it was Winter. Winter walked in and smiled softly. "Hey Riley, what's up?" she asked with a smile. He looked down slightly. "I want to tell you something first..." He said nervously. "Hmm, what is it?" she asked slightly nervous. Riley took a deep breath before telling her, "I am in love with you, Winter..." Winter's cheeks turned flushed slightly as she replied, "I love you too, Riley." He looked up at her, surprised. Everything felt lighter now. He felt the crystals carefully crack away from his skin as he stared at Winter. Riley then got up and hugged her, as all the rose quartz crystals fell onto the ground.

Riley walked down the hallway, holding an axe Sophie gave him. Sophie's voice happily shattered the darkness, "Riley, come to the roof!" He quickly made his way to the roof where he saw Sophie in the closed doorway, waiting for him. "Come on, you need to shove her off of the roof for me," Sophie said in an oddly cheerful voice. Riley nodded and Sophie opened the door. Chloe was on the edge of the roof. Sophie put a finger to her lips telling him to keep quiet. She then urged Riley to lead which he did. Sophie's voice then calmly sung, "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall... Humpty Dumpty had a great fall..." Chloe turned around and was face-to-face with Riley, right as he shoved he off of the roof. He grinned a psychotic grin and sing in a soft voice, "And all the king's horses.... and all the king's men.... couldn't put Humpty together again..." Sophie smirked as Riley walked back towards the door. "Hey Sophie, think I could do the last few kills?" Riley asked with an odd expression. "Sure," Sophie replied before asking, "But why do you want to?" Riley's psychotic grin returned as he glanced over at Sophie. "I guess I fell in love with killing them this way," was Riley's response. Sophie smiled and spoke, "Very well. Glad someone else enjoys my way of dealing with people." Riley started to walk downstairs when he heard the voices of two people. They were known as the textbook highschool sweethearts. He readied his axe as he heard them giggling and chatting. He had always compared Claire and Daniel to Jack and Jill so it was only fair. Riley approached them, hiding the axe behind his back. "Any luck on finding an exit?" Riley asked, acting innocent. Both of them shook their heads. Riley glared at them before preparing his axe and softly singing, "Jack and Jill went up a hill to fetch a pail of water... Jack fell down and broke his crown..." He swung the axe beheading Daniel and causing Claire to recoil in terror. He swung his axe again and hit Claire in the chest. He then finished singing, "And Jill came tumbling after."

Damien kept looking for exits. He found an unlocked door. "Hmmm... I found the teachers' lounge..." He muttered under his breath. Damien noticed the rather big window and had an idea. He looked around the room a bit trying to find something small to break the window with. When he had no luck he grabbed a chair and slammed it into the window. Riley heard the glass shatter and went to the teachers' lounge where he saw Damien jump out the window. Damien landed into bushes with a soft thud. Riley began to take the long way down to let Damien believe he escaped. Damien ran a bit before trying to call Chloe's phone. He looked around before spotting Chloe's body with her left arm and left leg bending in ways they shouldn't. He trembled and ran for it. Once he was a block away from the school, he heard feet running after him. He turned to see who it was and he was suddenly pinned down to the ground by Riley. A psychotic grin spread across Riley's face as he readied his axe. Riley then sung softly, "Lizzie Borden took an axe... gave her mother 40 whacks..." He swung the axe down repeatedly onto Damien's chest and face. He sighed softly before continuing the song, "When she was what she had done... gave her father 41..." He started repeatedly swinging the axe into Damien's corpse again. By the time he finished swinging the axe, Damien was unrecognizable and Riley was covered in blood. Riley walked down the street and ran a hand through his blood stained hair, still wearing a psychotic grin.

A is for Aya who ran out of breath

Aya trembled and tried to get out of a casket that she was trapped in. She slammed her fists against the lid of the casket but she couldn't escape. She then started to panic as she felt the casket start to move. Aya suddenly felt the casket drop and she hit her head on the lid of it. She rubbed her head slightly while groaning a bit from the pain. She heard something falling onto the casket and she had an unfortunate realization. Aya realized she was being buried alive. She started screaming and crying, begging to be let out but whoever was burying her didn't listen or care at all. She kept screaming and crying for about a hour before quieting down. She was starting to feel woozy and lightheaded. Aya trembled weakly before passing out and running out of air.

B is for Babz who's love turned to death

Babz smiled softly, looking over the valley. He gently clasped his hand over a small box in his pocket. He turned around to look at his love. Babz smiled a bit wider and took the box out of his pocket. His love suddenly shoved him off the ledge and he felt his heart shatter from the reality of the situation. His love didn't really care for him. He trembled as he felt time slow down as he was falling. His grip on the small box for the ring loosened. Babz let off a heartwrenching scream of sorrow before he hit the ground. His body was weak as he laid at the bottom of the valley and his last breathes were drawn.

C is for Creatyll who was lost to The Darkness

Creatyll wandered nervously through the pitch blackness. They held tightly onto the wall and felt their way around. They stumbled upon a bit of flickering light down what seemed to be a staircase. Creatyll started to cautiously walk down the stairs. Suddenly they tripped over nothing and started falling down the dark staircase. When they landed at the bottom of the staircase, they groaned in pain and looked around. They saw the flickering light was a candle but there seemed to be no one around to light it. Creatyll tried to get up but something was keeping them down. They felt the cold metal of a knife blade against their neck. They trembled and panicked as the cold blade started to press against their neck. They started coughing violently and choking on their own blood. Soon, Creatyll fell still and blood dripped from their mouth and gushed from their neck as the blade was removed.

Riley walked through the halls with a slight smile. He was excited to see Winter as usual. When he saw Winter though, something was off. All the alarms in his head were ringing. Riley approached Winter and spoke softly, "Hey Winter, how are you doing?" Winter looked at him and smiled. She then replied "Oh hey, I'm doing good!" Something about her outfit and everything in general still felt off to Riley, despite Winter responding in her usual cheery way when she sees him. "Wanna meet after school? I got to hurry to class and you should too," Riley said. Winter nodded and walked away, "See you after school then!" The day went by faster to Riley but that was probably because he wasn't really paying attention. Before Riley realized it, it was the end of the school day. Riley walked outside where Winter was waiting for him. "Do you wanna talk about something?" Winter asked curiously. Riley nodded and gestures for her to follow him. Every now and again he'd glance back at Winter and spot what appear to be bright yellow cat eyes. They then finally stopped at a secluded place. Winter's smile immediately faded once they stopped and when Riley turned around she had those glowing, bright yellow cat eyes. Her voice also sounded different when she spoke, "You figured it out pretty quickly, tiny sapling." Riley glared at her, realizing it was definitely not his Winter. His voice was stern as he spoke, "Who are you and what did you do to Winter?" Whatever was controlling Winter's body reached into her pants pocket and took out a knife. "I'm not going to answer your questions yet... I kinda want to see you writhe in pain as the one you love starts tearing into your flesh," they said. Riley flinched and recoiled a bit in terror. He tried to keep a stern voice but it wavered a bit, "You aren't Winter..." They suddenly charged at Riley, knife in hand, knocked him over, and pinned him against the ground violently. Riley groaned as his back was now hurting. They pierced the knife into Riley's left shoulder causing him to wince loudly. They kept him pinned down and started to drag the knife down his left arm. Riley started squirming and writhing in pain but he couldn't fight them off. They removed the knife from his left arm before piercing into his right shoulder. He glanced up and saw a sick, sadistic grin spread wide across their face. "G-give me back Winter and tell me who you are..." Riley pleaded weakly. Their expression shifted and they spoke, "Very well. Name's Bill Cipher! I'll probably occasionally take control of this Winter girl or maybe even you, tiny sapling." Cipher grinned at Riley before pulling the knife out of Riley's right shoulder. "Anyway, guess I should probably give you back Lil Miss Darkness here. Adios and hope to see you again soon!" Winter's eyes closed and she collapsed right on top of Riley. Riley gasped softly and ran a hand through her hair. She weakly opened her eyes and looked up at Riley. When she spoke her voice sounded normal but groggy, "W-what hapened?" Riley sighed softly and spoke gently, "I'll explain it to you eventually..."

Riley hopped off the back of his pure white steed. He didn't understand why he had to save the princess since there were so many others suited for such a job. He lead his horse besides him but the horse seemed reluctant to move forward once they passed the demolished front gate. Riley's grip on the lead loosened and the horse took his opportunity to run away quickly. Riley gasped as his horse yanked away from him and ran. He stared after the horse but sighed and muttered something to himself. He walked past tons of demolished houses and markets as he made his way to the castle. Riley wondered to himself about what happened to this town. Soon, he was in front of a castle that was fairly intact. He opened the door to a darkened corridor and he saw a female figure laying in the middle of the corridor. Riley opened the door completely and ran towards the figure. It was the princess. When he approached her, he quickly realized that the princess was dead. She was extremely pale and skinny. There was no sign of color at all in her veins. Riley jumped as he heard the door slam shut and saw the corridor darken once again. He then heard a calm, eerie voice behind him, "Do you like what I did to her? I gave her the slow and painful death she deserved." Riley grabbed his sword and swung around to hit whoever was behind him. He heard metal clang and saw the figure who spoke. A psychotic grin spread wide across the opposing figure's face as his blood red eyes glistened at the sight of Riley. Riley was suddenly pulled close to the figure and the same calm and unnerving voice spoke again, "I think I am going to keep you and make you mine..." Riley's eyes widened in terror as he felt his body tremble. "Tell me your name, trespasser." "Prince Riley," he responded to the sudden change in tone. "Well, prince Riley. I am prince Virgil," he said in the unnerving yet calm voice. Riley stared up into Virgil's odd blood red eyes. Riley had so many questions racing in his head for Virgil to answer but before he could ask any, Virgil had picked the smaller prince up bridal style. Riley was confused but didn't question what Virgil was doing. Virgil carried Riley upstairs to a bedroom with a grand bed. "This was my parents' room but now it will be our room, Riley," Virgil said softly. "Your parents won't mind?" Riley asked, puzzled. Virgil's blood red eyes lost the glisten and his expression turn sorrowful. Virgil laid Riley on the bed and stood besides it, staring Riley down. "My parents... are gone..." Virgil said, his voice as sorrowful as his expression. Riley felt a twinge of guilt before speaking, "I'm sorry... I didn't know..." "It's quite alright. I sometimes forget they are gone myself," Virgil said. Riley looked down, that twinge of guilt already starting to eat away at his heart. Virgil laid down next to Riley and started to doze off a bit, his expression withholding a bit of sorrow. When Riley was sure Virgil was asleep, he started to get up. The moment Riley stood up from the bed, however, he felt something gripping tightly onto his arm. Virgil's voice was an eerie snarl, "What part of 'I am going to keep you and make you mine' don't you understand?" His grip tightened around Riley's arm, causing Riley to wince. Virgil's voice remained an eerie snarl, "Leave me and you will be dead..." Riley winced as the pain from his arm was radiating through his body. Riley meekly laid back down in bed and Virgil pulled him close, Riley's face slightly buried in Virgil's chest. Riley ended up falling fast asleep but he could feel Virgil's blood red eyes staring at him. He trembled as he had a nightmare where the princess had chained him down and was slowly draining him of all his blood. He woke up and held tightly onto Virgil's chest. Virgil was staring him down with an insane glint in his eyes. "Every time you try to escape, nightmares like that will happen... and if you successfully escape without me capturing you then I will bombard your mind with those nightmares until you come back pleading as your mind fills with insanity..." Virgil said in his unnerving and calm tone of voice, "Understand?" Riley nodded meekly, realizing that he was in for hell on earth.

Riley groaned, waking up a bit. He heard Virgil mutter something softly and Riley's mind felt hazy suddenly. Virgil smirked a bit before getting up and picking up the smaller prince once again. Virgil's eerily calm voice was as clear as the sky outside against Riley's hazy mind, "The corruption will take a while to take effect on you. If you manage to escape the castle even for a second, you will most likely be free from the corruption haze." Riley's eyes widened in panic and he opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. Virgil's blood red eyes glistened as a psychotic grin spread across his pale face. Virgil spoke in the same eerily calm voice, "Don't fear the darkness, my dear... embrace it and let it engulf your soul..." Riley meekly shook his head as he grabbed tightly onto Virgil's shirt. Riley noticed the hallway he was being carried through filled with covered up frames. Riley weakly asked Virgil, "What's under the covered frames?" Virgil glanced down at Riley and smirked slightly. Virgil then answered Riley's question, "Mirrors. I can't look in them because I have a horrific reflection no human should see... but your corrupting hazy mind might be able to handle it." Virgil walked towards one of the covered mirrors and took the white sheet off of it. The reflection was certainly horrific. Virgil's arms, neck and the entire left side of his face in the reflection was pitch black. Sharp claws were gripped around Riley's body in the reflection. Riley's eyes were clouded over and darker then they used to be. Virgil calmly covered the mirror back up. He continued carrying Riley down the hall before entering an empty dining room. Virgil gently sat Riley in one of the dining room chairs. Virgil's eerily calm voice turned stern suddenly, "Stay here or else." Riley knew better then to argue. He didn't want to run away anymore. He didn't know if the corruption was getting to him or if his feelings for Virgil had blossomed. Virgil walked out of the dining room. Riley said softly to himself, "I bet it's both my love for him appearing and the corruption..." Riley contemplated to himself on why he suddenly didn't want to run away anymore. Virgil soon came in with food for both of them. Virgil's voice was eerily calm again, "I made this for both of us." Riley smiled meekly at Virgil, his clouded over eyes had a slight glisten in them. There was an odd bottle of a blood red liquid on the tray as well as all the food. Virgil sat down at the table next to Riley and placed the tray on the table. Virgil glanced over at Riley and asked, "Am I going to need to feed you at all?" Riley shrugged slightly. Virgil sighed and spoke, "I'll feed you just in case." Virgil poured the blood red liquid into two cups before grabbing a fork. "I know you probably feel like a child, being fed and all, but I don't want to risk you spilling everywhere with your weak body and hazy mind." Virgil scooped up a bit of food on the fork. Virgil fed Riley until Riley started denying the food. Virgil sat down the fork and sighed, "Are you thirsty, Riley?" Riley nodded and Virgil grabbed one of the cups of the blood red liquid. Riley quickly realized after taking a few sips of the liquid that it was actually blood. Riley felt terror rise up inside of him but he kept drinking until he didn't want anymore. Virgil sat the half empty cup on the table before eating his half of the food. When Virgil finished eating, he chugged down his cup of blood. Riley stared, a bit afraid but mainly intrigued. "How can you handle drinking someone's blood?" Riley asked weakly. Virgil smiled a mysterious smile before answering, "My parents raised me to drink someone's blood. It's apparently tradition that the demonic child in a family has to drink nothing but blood." Riley had more questions but he was quickly picked up and carried back to the bedroom. Riley ended up dozing off in Virgil's arms, almost against his wishes. Virgil's voice was quiet and soft in Riley's ear as Riley was laid down on the bed, "It's alright, my dear... the corruption makes everyone tired..." Virgil gently kissed Riley on the cheek before laying down next to him and falling asleep.

Riley once again woke up with a slight gasp, he didn't feel as hazy as he did before the second time he fell asleep. Riley sat up and looked around to see Virgil staring out of the window with a concerned expression. Riley got up and went out into the hallway to get a better look himself. He uncovered one of the hallway mirrors and stared at his reflection, surprised. His eyes were still clouded over and dark but there were now these odd pitch black lines decorating his skin. Virgil walked out into the hallway and placed a hand on Riley's shoulder. "Only the reflection shows your corruption. Similar to how the reflection only shows the darkness of this form," Virgil said. Riley looked up at Virgil and noticed something troubling in those blood red eyes. "What's wrong, Virgil?" Riley asked in a soft tone. "I can hear tons of hooves hurrying to find us. We have to do something quickly before they arrive," Virgil said. Virgil suddenly grabbed Riley's arm and dragged him downstairs. Riley gasped nervously, caught off guard by this. When they were in the main corridor, Virgil grabbed both his and Riley's swords. Virgil handed Riley his sword before thing his own sword and sheath to his waist. Riley did the same and the moment he finished, Virgil grabbed him again and dragged him down a darkened staircase. At the bottom of the darkened staircase was a dimly lit room filled with satanic imagery and stained with years of blood. Virgil seemed genuinely worried as he looked up the staircase. "Virgil, what are you going to do here?" Riley asked. Virgil quickly dashed to one of the walls where a hidden compartment was. "Go to the center of the circle, Riley," Virgil commanded. Riley nodded and obeyed Virgil's command. Virgil opened the hidden compartment and took out an odd vial with a black and purple liquid. Virgil then approached Riley and handed Riley the odd vial. Virgil didn't need to say a word for Riley to understand what he had to do. Riley opened the vial and drank the odd liquid inside. Riley then collapsed to his knees, holding his hands over his chest. Virgil spoke gently and softly as he got down on his knees next to him, "It's okay, Riley. The burning sensation is common with it." Riley nodded, standing up straight and taking a deep breath. Virgil then dragged Riley back up the darkened staircase. "What did that liquid do to me?" Riley asked confused. "It finished up your corruption and transformed your mortal heart into a demon heart," Virgil explained. Virgil stopped in the dark main corridor and let go of Riley's arm. Virgil then walked toward the front door with Riley following behind him. Virgil stepped outside and saw around 6 white horses with knights on them. Riley walked out of the castle, past Virgil, to meet the knights. The knights approached and the one in the lead spoke, "Prince Riley, we have come to retrieve you." Riley glared before replying, "That is unnecessary. I am perfectly fine and content here." The lead knight spoke in a stern tone, "It is required, your mother requested we come and retrieve you." Virgil approached with his sword ready and a psychotic grin spread across his pale face. "If you want the prince to leave here then you'll have to get through me... and here's an added bonus, I'm the one who kidnapped and killed the princess that Riley was sent here to rescue." The guards all hopped off of their stress and readied their weapons. Riley and Virgil removed their swords from their sheaths. Pretty soon a battle had begun. Riley entered a sword fight with a fairly scrawny knight while Virgil fought two guards at once. Riley stabbed the knight in the throat while Virgil slashed one knight in the chest and the other in the face. Riley finished off the knight that Virgil had slashed across the face. The moment after however, Riley was suddenly restrained by two of the knights as the lead knight knocked Virgil unconscious. Virgil's unconscious body was tied up and flung onto the back of one of the three now rider-less horses. Riley was forced onto another rider-less horse, still restrained, much to his dismay. The trek back to Riley's kingdom had begun.

Riley trembled as they approached the front gates of the kingdom. He knew what would happen to Virgil when they were inside the kingdom. The front gates opened and Riley felt intense terror rise up within him. All the townspeople watched as the white horses and their knights entered the kingdom. Riley sighed realizing it was inevitable. The lead knight forced his stallion to speed up and all the other horses sped up. They stopped outside of the prison where Riley was untied and Virgil's still unconscious form was carried into the prison. Riley left for the castle, his expression withholding sorrow and fear. When he entered the castle, his mother spoke up, "We will be holding that monster's execution as soon as he is conscious." Riley didn't respond as he kept his expression stern. He left for his room as the terror kept rising up inside him. A few hours later, his parents were in the doorway and were forcing him to come with. He was being forced to watch the execution of someone he fell in love with. He followed his parents out to the terrace overlooking the execution area. He watched as Virgil was lead out, heavily shackled. Virgil was place into position for his beheading. Virgil's blood red eyes looked around before locking onto Riley. His voice echoed in Riley's mind, 'I will return, my dear... listen for my voice so you know when to return to my home...' Riley kept silent as he watched them remove the shackle on Virgil's neck before forcing him into his knees. He felt the sorrow and terror fill his body as he struggled to hold back emotions. He then watched the executioner swing the axe down upon Virgil's neck. Riley kept struggling to keep a calm expression and started to leave. He left to his room where he buried his face into his pillow and teared up. Once the hallway outside of his room went quiet, Riley started sobbing into his pillow. He ended up crying well into the night.

Riley laid on his bed when it happened. Virgil's voice echoed in Riley's mind, 'Riley, it's time for you to return to my kingdom and my arms.' Riley grinned as he packed up his things. Late at night, he ran for the stables. He quickly hopped on the back of his pure white steed and trotted out of the kingdom. Riley's mind raced with thoughts as he road back to Virgil's ruined kingdom. He was so excited that he nearly galloped right past the ruined front gate of Virgil's kingdom. Riley hopped off the back of his steed. He walked into the kingdom towards the castle where Virgil would be waiting for him. Riley opened the moonlit doors and entered the darken corridor. A pair of pure blood red eyes glistened and glowed at the end of the corridor. Riley ran towards the eyes and the moment he reached them, he was wrapped up in a hug from Virgil. Virgil picked up the smaller prince once again and carried him upstairs. Riley saw Virgil in the moonlight as he was carried. Virgil looked exactly the way Riley would see him when looking in the mirror. Riley was soon laid down in the same grand bed and Virgil laid down next to him. Riley fell asleep, hugging Virgil tightly. Virgil chuckled slightly and ran a clawed hand through Riley's hair. "We'll have to work towards fully transforming you as well," Virgil said in his soft calm voice. He smiled slightly before dozing off next to Riley.

Virgil walked through the woods, nervously. "Why did I agree to this dare? I hate the dark and I hate wide open spaces like this," he said softly. He took a deep breath and started singing to himself to calm down. Little did Virgil know, a demon heard his song. The demon hid himself in a tree so he could watch him from afar. When he finished singing, the demon spoke loud enough for him to hear, "A little songbird seems to be far from his nest. Something about this songbird makes me want to cage him away and protect him." Virgil looked around in panic and asked to the darkness of night, "Who's there?!" The demon's voice echoed all around as he spoke again, "Don't worry, little songbird. While many monsters lurk in this forest that attack at nights like tonight, I am not one of them. I am a demon who lives in these woods who just wishes that you will stay with me in my home for an eternity." Virgil still seemed nervous as he spoke, "I wish I could but I need to return home. Besides I don't know you..." "We can quickly change that! My name is Riley," the demon said cheerfully. Virgil turned around in the direction he came but the moment he started to run, he tripped instead. Virgil looked down to see dark purple chains wrap around him body. Riley's voice was now behind him, "I think you misunderstood, little songbird. When I said that I wished you to stay with me for an eternity, I wasn't giving you the option." Riley grabbed onto the chains and dragged Virgil away. Virgil felt an odd tiredness overwhelm him before he passed out. When he awoke, he was in a cage in an odd bedroom. The bedroom was decorated with various dark colors and demonic objects. Virgil then heard footsteps and winced nervously. Riley sat down in front of the cage and smiled gently at Virgil. "Let me know whenever you're tried or hungry or thirsty, little songbird. I'm not a cruel beast, I just want to take care of you and protect you." Riley said gently, "Besides.... I've been alone for so long...." Virgil gently reached his hand out to him and Riley carefully held it. Virgil smiled slightly and started softly singing a lullaby.

Riley jolted awake from the nightmare he just had. He heard Virgil's voice speak softly next to him on the bed, "Riley what's wrong?" "Just a nightmare... no need to worry, Virgil," Riley said, he smiled gently at Virgil but Virgil didn't smile back. "It's impossible for a demon or a half demon to have nightmares which means there is a need to worry," Virgil said. Riley's eyes widened in worry as he was hit with a realization. That was a vision he had of Virgil dying a second time. The familiar sound of hooves filled the air, snapping Riley out of his thoughts. Virgil quickly grabbed his sword before handing over Riley's sword to Riley. While the two walked down the hallway, Riley caught a glimpse of his reflection. A black liquid spilled from his pitch black eyes and from his mouth in the reflection as blood red marking decorated his skin. He kept up with Virgil, not letting his reflection distract him. They made their way to the main hall quickly. Virgil started to walk towards the door but Riley grabbed Virgil's shirt. "Virgil, I won't let you die again... even if I end up dying, I won't care," Riley said quietly enough for Virgil to hear, "If I do die then finish them off for me, okay?" Virgil nodded and let Riley take the lead as he stayed back. Riley stepped outside and faced the guards of his home kingdom. One of them opened their mouth to speak but Riley interrupted them by piercing their chest with his sword. He quickly killed three others before one guard pierced Riley's throat with their sword. Riley held his throat as a black liquid suddenly spilled from his mouth. He collapsed dead and the two guards backed up. Virgil ran towards the two surviving guards and slit the throat of one and stabbed the other guard in the skull. He sighed, sheathing his sword before picking up Riley's body gently. He carried Riley's body back inside and took it down to the dimly lit room filled with satanic imagery. He laid Riley's body down in the middle of the room before leaving to head to his bedroom.

Nicci gasped at the sight of the scene. Riley was slumped against the wall with his organs pulled out of his body. A serrated knife was firmly lodged in his stomach. Blood was dripping from his mouth but his expression was calm. Nicci made a mental note of his calm expression. The body announcement started up. "Bing bong bong bing," there's the bell. Monokuma should be speaking soon. "A body has been discovered! Please report to the third floor and look for Nicci." 'There he is,' Nicci thought. Soon everyone was upstairs. Nicci looked over at Virgil. Virgil's eyes were wide open and he collapsed to his knees. Virgil let off a blood freezing scream of agony and anguish. Something about his scream seemed a bit fake to Nicci. Nicci then felt something bump her arm. "We should get investigating this scene before the trial," Lula said softly. Nicci glanced at the three suspects. Virgil, Lucy, and Yani were all suspects. Lula might have been a suspect as well. "You three clear out. Me and Lula will investigate this scene!" Nicci said. Lucy nodded, trying to keep calm but she looked a bit green from the sight of Riley's corpse. Yani sighed and held out her hand for Virgil. Virgil took Yani's hand and Yani helped him up. Nicci spoke up suddenly, "Virgil, what's with the new outfit?" "My usual outfit needed to get washed. Last night I spilled a drink on my outfit." Nicci found this suspicious but waved Virgil off. The three suspects left, leaving Lula and Nicci to inspect and investigate. The two entered the room and immediately noticed Virgil's bow nearby. Nicci collected the clues carefully. Virgil's bow was bagged as well as the knife and a few other clues. The alert for the class trial rang out and Lula and Nicci left for the trial. Monokuma spoke up when the two entered, "Well let's start the trial!" Nicci suddenly cut of Lucy, who had opened her mouth to speak, "No need for a trial. I already have a suspicion on who it is." Everyone except Lula gasped as Nicci took out the bow found at the scene of the crime. "I was confused about Riley's calm expression but upon seeing Virgil's hairbow he usually wears, it makes sense. Someone familiar killed him. Plus that death seems familiar to a horror story death," Nicci said calmly. Virgil suddenly looked down but smiled gently. When he looked up tears were streaming down his cheeks. "I'm sorry..." Virgil said meekly. Lucy might as well have been a bomb because she screamed at Virgil, "HOW THE HELL COULD YOU FUCKING DO THAT TO RILEY!?" Virgil didn't flinch at Lucy's explosion and stared directly at Nicci. Virgil spoke softly, "We had to do it... we wanted the killing game to end.... we wanted everyone to be free.... when I die... I wish you all freedom." All of them were surprised that he accepted the fact he was going to die. "Who thought up this plan?" Yani asked calmly. "We both did. Someone got a sick kick out of this killing game and we couldn't handle it," Virgil said calmly. Monokuma spoke suddenly, "Are you all ready to vote?" Everyone nodded and they all voted for Virgil. Virgil said something that sent a chill down Nicci's spine, "I'm just ready to see Riley again..." Monokuma called out, "Let's give it everything we got! IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME!" Virgil didn't even flinch as the collar clamped around his neck and as he was dragged off to his execution.

Riley held his phone to his ear and let it ring. "Pick up, Virgil, please pick up..." He said softly. He heard silence and began to speak, "Virgil, are you there? Can you hear me?" His blood went cold as he heard Virgil sob and a sadistic laugh on the other end of the phone. "Someone close to Virgil? How fun. You should know you're never ever going to get Virgil back," the person on the other end said. Riley trembled as he heard Virgil scream on the other end of the phone. He clenched his fists as he felt his heart rate slow down. "Listen to me... give me back my Virgil and we'll go out separate ways without problem. If you won't give Virgil back to me, I will hunt you down, slice out your tongue and slit your throat," Riley said with a psychotic tone of voice. "Good luck on trying to find us then," was the last thing he heard before they hung up on him. Riley clenched his steering wheel and quickly drove to Virgil's house to check around there. When he entered Virgil's house, he was that a window was broken. He opened the door with the spare key and looked around to see any clues. He noticed a trail of blood that lead upstairs and he followed it. He quickly realized it belonged to Virgil when he saw it come from Virgil's bedroom hiding spot of under his desk. Riley followed the trail and followed it out the back door. He followed the trail into the woods until he came upon a cabin. Virgil's scream filled the air suddenly and Riley pounded his fist against the cabin door, clutching a switch blade in his other hand. The door opened and a tall man with dark hair and eyes was standing there. Riley spoke with a psychotic tone of voice once again, "Final chance to give me back my Virgil without harm." The man smirked and shook his head. "Now what could someone as small as you do to me?" the man asked tauntingly. Riley shoved and pinned the man to the ground. He quickly cut out the man's tongue before slicing the man's throat open. Riley stood up, blood splattered on his skin and clothes. Virgil smiled weakly at Riley, who was cutting the ropes that tied Virgil up. "Let's get you back home and bandaged up," Riley said calmly as he put away the switch blade. Riley gently grabbed and helped Virgil up into his feet and carried him back home.

Riley wandered through the woods, looking up at the sky. He stumbled over a log and groaned. "Stupid logs in my way," he muttered. When Riley stood back up, he felt the sensation that he was being watched. He made his way back to his campsite and started his campfire. Riley looked up at the sky and saw the first few stars appear. He smiled and watched the darkening sky, disregarding the feeling of being watched. Suddenly, he heard the rustle of bushes and got up. Riley was ready to run. The rustle of bushes got closer and he ran for it. The bushes rustled behind him as something followed him. Riley kept running until he reached a river. Panic raced through his mind as the rustle drew closer and closer to him. He turned to face what he believed to be his demise. Riley's eyes widened at the sight of not a wild animal but a man with the palest of skin and blood red eyes. He wore a hooded cloak that hid his mess of black hair. "Who are you?" Riley asked, curiously. "My name is Virgil," the odd man said calmly. Virgil smiled and approached Riley. "Now, don't be afraid," Virgil said with an odd smile. Riley asked nervously, "What are you going to do?" Virgil didn't respond but instead he grabbed Riley suddenly. Virgil bit into Riley's neck and started to drink his blood. Riley gasped nervously but was almost scared to try and fight Virgil. Riley started to feel weak as Virgil pulled away. Virgil smirked as blood dripped from his fangs and he picked Riley up. "Let's clean up your campsite before I take you to my home," Virgil said calmly as he carried Riley into the dark woods.

Riley weakly lifted his head and was met with this cute, excitable, almost puppy-like voice, "OH! You're awake finally! I hope that bump on your head doesn't hurt too badly..." He looked up and saw a demon staring at him with green eyes and a childlike smile. "Silly me, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Virgil," the demon said, "No need for you to introduce yourself. I already know about you, Riley." Riley's blue-grey eyes stared at the demon, confused. "Where am I and why am I here? I don't remember owing my soul to any demons," he said weakly. "I'm not here for your soul, I'm here to keep you safe from the scary outside," Virgil said, smiling, "I'll let you out but no going outside! I don't want to have to hurt you. I find you so cute and I don't want to see that crimson red liquid drip from any wounds." Virgil started to untie Riley and happily humming to himself. "That answers the why but not the where," Riley said, calmly. Virgil chuckled and spoke, "You're in my house. I'll show you around if you'd like." Riley nodded before standing up. The moment Riley got to his feet, Virgil seized his hand and started showing Riley around. Everything Virgil did and the way he spoke was cute to Riley. Soon they were back in Virgil's living room. "Is there anything you'd like to do here?" Virgil asked curiously. "We can just hang out and snuggle on the couch," Riley said with a smile. Virgil's cheeks turned bright red. "Snuggle? I thought you'd be mad at me for knocking you unconscious and forcing you to stay here..." he said quietly. Riley hugged Virgil and looked up at him with a smile. "Why would I be mad at someone who wants to keep me safe?" Riley asked. Virgil hugged Riley tightly and the two snuggled up together.

Riley mumbled slightly, waking up. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He suddenly heard Virgil's voice from the kitchen, "Contain your hunger, dammit. I have to contain it. I don't want to hurt him..." Riley got up and walked out of his room and towards the kitchen. "Keep it together, Virgil, you can contain your hunger and keep sane... but it's been months since I ate food that sustained my need," Virgil's voice said. Riley spoke up, "So, you're starving yourself?" Virgil jumped before solemnly nodding. "I don't want to lose control and end up hurting you... there's a nearly impossible grey area for my hunger," he said, sounding scared and weak. Riley smiled gently. "How about I lock myself in my room while you have a feast on whatever your demonic food source is?" Riley innocently suggested. Virgil looked up at Riley in surprise. "Do you think that'll work?" Virgil asked. Riley nodded before grabbing some food from the fridge. "Let me just grab a few things before locking myself away," Riley said calmly. Virgil nodded and let Riley grab food and snacks and drinks. Riley waved slightly and smiled, "See you again when you've calmed down." Virgil waved meekly as Riley left for his room. Virgil heard the click of Riley's bedroom door lock and grinned psychotically. A pitch black liquid dripped from Virgil's eyes as he left the house to go on a murder spree.

Virgil gently caressed Riley's cheek with a blood stained hand. Riley jumped awake feeling the warm blood but quickly calmed down when he realized it was just Virgil. He looked at Virgil and smiled. "Calmed down?" Riley asked quietly. Virgil giggled innocently and nodded. Riley frowned slightly, "Awww you stained those pretty pastel clothes of yours." Virgil giggled again and hugged Riley gently. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Feasts do tend to get a bit messy," Virgil said, playfully. Riley smiled and snuggled against the blood stained demon. Virgil smiled, looking down at Riley. "Does the blood not really matter?" Virgil asked. Riley shook his head slightly and mumbled, "Snuggles are more important." Virgil giggled again before laying back and holding onto Riley. "My dear sweet innocent mortal. I'm surprised you tell in love with a being like me," Virgil said calmly.
