For as long as they could remember, they were sold for the highest bitter to hundreds of different masters, all of which were Dukes and Barron, who required labor or entertainment. Conditions were grueling with little time to rest and countless hours of hard labor and painful punishments. If they ever disobeyed or cause problems, death would he mercy as some had their limbs cut and left die or hours of torture that left many broken. 16 years of grueling enslavement until they finally took their revenge.

On the night of the winter solstice, Haki and Adrian watched as their childhood burned down to the ground. The large wooden mansion before them engulfed by blue fire with people fleeing and screening for their lives. There felt no remorse, only anger towards their previous masters. Now they were free and had a mission to find the man who helped them escape, the one who taught them magic, the person they owed their life to. The man rarely talked and was always shrouded by a thick haze and an aura of darkness. They had no leads only the lessons taught by the man.

“Boy”

Haki spun around towards the voice to see a vast expanse of darkness. Then from the void, a hand grabbed his neck and held him off the ground. Haki struggled to break free, gasping for air. His lungs burned. His vision slowly fading. Then suddenly it released him and the vast expanses turned into a crimson red wasteland and in his arms was Adrian, dead, by his own hands.

Haki jolted awake finding himself in the room of a tavern. His heart raced and his neck burned from where the hand had grabbed him. He quickly calmed himself knowing that it was just a dream. The same nightmare had continued to plague him and it was becoming more real and frequent. The small discomfort it used to left him turned into a burning pain that quickly dispersed. Wanting to forget his dream, he got dressed and headed down to the near-empty tavern. The sun was barely over the horizon but the tavern still had early business. Though it was near empty he could still feel eyes at his back and discomfort from the few tavern patrons.

Haki scanned the room finding Adrian sitting at the counter with a large mug of beer in his hand and a stack of papers in the other. Their previous informant had given them useless information about the Magician but did point them in the direction of some more slavers in the area. It wasn’t their intention to take on any more slavers but he couldn’t help but be curious. Adrian continued to ponder over the information when he felt a large hand on his shoulder and looked up.

“No anything useful,” Haki signed. Though Adrian was able to hear, it was much easier for them to talk in sign language since that was what they grew up with. Adrian did possess a ring that allowed him to project his thought but Haki had a distrust for magical items.

“No,” Adrian signed.

Haki sighed in frustration and mumbled, “How hard can it be to find one Mage with a fucking scar.”

Adrian shrugged and went back to his stack of papers. Haki joined him moments later with his own mug of beer. He quickly chugged the alcohol and rested his head on the table with a loud thud. Adrian smiles and started to scratch Haki’s ear. It was always entertaining to see the dog-like behavior from his furry friend.

Clang The sound of metal falling startled the Half-Fae as he crept along, he lowered himself to the ground even more, focusing his eyes on the tavern door as he slunk past the guards. He felt his heart race, he hated hearing it in his ears. He looked to the sky as it shone down on the small town, whispers of some people looking for the very man who caused him so much discomfort in his life were too good for him to pass up.

He needed to know.
He needed to find him.

The door creaked open with ease, something that Chance never really got the use of, being a thief lead to heavy barred doors and swiftly opened locks. Doors that were already unlocked usually meant a trap, even if they were that of an inn or a tavern.
Chance stepped in, lifting his body posture up to make himself look a little less suspicious. He scanned the nearly dead area, noticing the man, the wolf man and the pile of papers, his eyebrows raised as his interest was piqued.

He stepped in quickly, closing the door softly after him, out of habit rather than a courtesy. He made his way to the bar and sat on the other side of the Man. The bartender came quickly, hesitating before stopping to talk to him.
"What can I get you kid? And don't think about asking for Ale or Mead, I don't need those guards back here again." His voice was low, Chance looked him deep in the eyes in anger and hatred.
"Even if I wanted those I don't drink." He said, moving to slide over a bit of paper. The bartender took it and looked at it, sliding it back before he left to grab something out back, his face becoming visibly more pale.

Nessa was awake in her room, her eyes closed as she leaned against the windowsill, the sunlight shining on her face for most of the morning. Her freckles shone like small stars against her skin, she only moved when she registered a small crash from behind her.
She whipped around to see her furry companion half out of a box on the floor.
"Ra!" She hissed, moving to lift the small creature up off the ground and out of the box. The creature's puppy-like snout moved to look towards her, his deep yellow eyes glistening. "Get out of boxes you idiot." She said to him, getting a grumble from the small beast as she tucked him under her arm, grabbing her bag slowly.

"Come on, we have a busy day." She said to him, moving to fix her clothes before swinging her sidebag over her shoulder, her wings flexing slowly. "We need to find this guy. Surely he shouldn't be too hard to find right?" She looked to Ra, who only gave a huff and wriggled out of her grip, landing on all fours as he followed beside her legs.
She was still talking to him as she paced down the steps of the Tavern into the Bar, not paying attention to the men that were there, "Not a lot of people end up with that sort of Heterochromia." Ra gave a huff in response before he looked up.
He froze, his fur fluffing up at the sight of Haki as he moved to climb up Nessa to hide on her shoulders.

"Ow ow ow!" She grumbled, moving to ask Ra what was up before she saw Haki and Adrian, as well as the strange bat-boy on the other side. "Oh." The Star-Born said before she smiled softly. She moved to sit a couple seats down from Haki, close enough for them to hear her words, but she didn't want to invade their personal space.
She pulled out a small paper map, parts of it were ripped and torn. There were points plotted out in what looked to be rather recent ink, with a few small pawprints accidentally on the sides. "We can rule out him being here Ra." She said, her voice just above a whisper. "I asked the guards and no one matched the Scar or the eye colour."

Haki noticed the little creature that made its way down to the tavern floor. It wasn’t a creature that he recognized and it piqued his interest. From a bag at his side, he grabbed a small notebook and a piece of charcoal. He made a quick sketch of the little creature then turned to look at the women.

“Excuse me. Does your companion have a name? I’ve never seen such a creature,” Haki asked. Seeing that the little creature didn’t like his presence, he searched through his bag for a small container containing a large variety of berries and fruits.

“Do you mind if I give him some berries,” Haki asked showing her a handful of small red berries, “These are Goji berries which are usually safe for everyone.”

Adrian rolled his eyes at Haki. His interest in animals was completely lost at him. He wasn’t sure if it was because Haki was an animal himself or something else but he found it a waste of time. It was far more important to focus on their current plans than some small animals. He wanted to take out the slavers in the area but Haki would probably object. He let out a long sigh and continued to go over the stack of paper until he landed on a drawing of a man. He had two different color eyes with a rather large scar over one of them.

He tapped Haki on the shoulder and signed, “look I found something.” He then handed Haki the drawing of the man.

Haki pondered over the drawing for a moment before handing it back, “Could be a lead. We should look into it. But later.”

Adrien rolled his eyes again and decided to look into it on his own. He grabbed his thing and headed out the tavern towards the adventurer’s guilds. He was hoping to find someone who could dig up some more information for them and hopefully the man in the drawing.

By the time Nessa had gotten downstairs, the pale-faced Bartender brought Chance his drink. Chance moved to take a swig of the slightly thick red liquid before he nodded, pulling out a small drinking flask and moved to fill it up with what was in the mug.
He glanced to the two beside him, not really taking interest when the woman came down. Just another teifling with some sort of exotic creature. Of course that would woo the beastman. He thought to himself before he noticed the two men interacting.

The Human seemed to sign to the Beast-Man, Chance tilted his head slightly. He noticed a part of the drawing when it was handed back, moving to slide a couple gold to the bartender before he slipped off his seat as Adrien left.
The Half-Fae waited before following Adrien, glancing back to the Beastman before he exited and continued following him. He hesitated for a second before he called out, "Hey! Kid!" It was a little silly for him to call anyone who looked older than him a 'kid', but he didn't care. "Wait up friend!"

Nessa looked over to Haki as he spoke, her eyes widened for a second before she looked to Ra as the man spoke to her.
"His name is Ra." She said as she motioned for her companion to walk towards the man, "Goji is his favourite!" AT the mention of the Berries Ras' ears pricked all the way up and his raccoon-like tail quivered. He moved forward slowly towards Haki, keeping himself low to the ground as he inched forward.

Nessa only responded with a laugh at his actions, "I don't think there would be many like him here anyway." She responded to the part of not seeing his kind, "Hes' a Fyreen. They're like a small pup creature who also has the traits of a raccoon, such as the ability to grab things and operate some smaller objects."
Ra looked back to his Humanoid companion with an annoyed look. "You mean I'm a great creature to have around to carry things for you!" he grumbled as he swayed his tail again.

Adrian was cautious to keep his distance from the person following him. He wasn’t sure what their intentions were but they did emanate a menacing aura that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand. He was more concerned that the aura was coming from a child which begs the question, what is he hiding? There was a bad feeling in his stomach which made him quicken his pace but not enough that it was noticeable.

Adrian continued for a moment before he heard the boy called out to him. He stopped and turned around and looked at the boy with a blank expression. He then pulled out his notebook and wrote “can I help you?” then showed it to the boy.

Back at the tavern, Haki was completely fascinated by the small creature. It was rare for him to a new creature in his line of work so he tried his best to befriend the little creature. He held his hand still and waited for Ra to take a berry but was taken by surprise when Ra started to speak. He has seen very few creatures that could speak without using magic which Ra had very little of. He wasn’t sure if Ra had some other form of magic but he sensed no aura coming from the little creature.

“Fascinating,” Haki mumbled, “if you don’t mind me asking. What brings you to this part of the kingdom? Not really a place for tourism.”

Chance smiled towards Adrian as he turned around. He waved and bowed his head as a sign of peace.
He blinked at the notebook before he furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm assuming you're.. Mute?" He asked, tilting his head a little before he tried to think about his words. "I... Overheard you and your companion." He continued, he kept his gaze on Adrian, despite the growing want to hide in a shadows.

He breathed in slowly with a small smile, "I saw the picture you had." He notioned to the papers in his hand, "They look familiar."

Ra hesitated a bit more, moving closer to Haki and sat by his hand as he took some berries, chomping down on them happily. Nessa only smiled at her companion before she looked back to Haki with a tilt of her head.
"I'm... Searching for someone." She started, hesitating slightly, "I'm not from here; I'm not trying to head home either, but I was wronged by someone and I'm trying to find them again."

Adrian kept a blank expression until he saw the paper in the child’s hand. His eyes glowed a light purple indicating his curiosity. Indeed the man on the piece of paper did match the man they were looking for but why was the boy looking for the same man? He had many questions but didn’t have the words to voice them.

Adrain wrote “If you wish to talk. I’ll be in the Adventurer’s Guild” in his notebook than showed the boy. After letting the boy read it, he closed his notebook and headed towards the guild without waiting for an answer from the boy. He didn’t trust the boy and needed a way to make sure that the boy was genuine. First, he needed Haki’s opinion, so when he turned a corner so that the boy didn’t see him he teleported a short distance onto the roof of a nearby building. He then proceeded to teleported from building to building towards the guild, making sure that no one saw him.

Back at the tavern, Haki was about to say something when a ring appeared in the air and dropped into Haki’s empty hand. He stared at the ring for a moment before putting it into his bag.

“Well if you need help don’t hesitate to ask but for now I have to be on my way,” Haki said. He left all the berries on the table then left the tavern. Once outside he took a deep breath and put on the ring.

“Finally. I need you to listen to a conversation with someone who is looking for the same man we are. I’ll be at the adventurer guilds.”

Haki smile at hearing his friend’s voice even if it was through a magic item. He didn’t say a word and started walking towards the adventure guilds. While walking, he thought of the woman back at the tavern. She gave off an innocent aura which was dangerous to have in these parts of the kingdom. He is never keen on helping strangers but something about the woman and her companion piqued his interest.

Chance read the book before he nodded, moving to put the paper away. He looked up to see Adrian gone, his brow furrowed slightly before he was able to slip into the shadows as the guards started to walk past him.
He narrowed his eyes as he tried to remember the way to the adventurers guild. He had a sneaking suspicion that they wouldn't let him in, but he started his way down the road in the shadows.

He paused as he saw Haki walking along, his ears pricked up before he kept to the shadows and followed him.
Chance kept his feet silent as he slunk after the wolf-man, he was used to this; being a thief for most of his Vampiric life allowed him to follow in the shadows without a problem.

Nessa waved to Haki as he left, looking down to Ra as he hungrily ate the berries.
"Slow down on eating those I don't need you sick." She said to her companion as he moved quickly to settle the rest of the berries in his tail fur. He glanced up towards Nessa as she slid over a small bag of gold to the tavernkeep, the Tavernkeep pushed it back with a small shake of his head.
"No thank you ma'am." He started, "Strict orders not to charge you, the guards told us about the Bear you helped scare off yesterday."
Ness gave a small smile as she started to stand up, pulling her sidebag more over her shoulder and tapped her left shoulder, which was slightly more padded than her right.

"I was just doing what I felt was best." Ness said as Ra moved to leap up onto her padded shoulder. "Thank you for your hospitality."
She turned to leave the tavern quietly, moving to make her wings a bit more comfortable as they hung slightly awkwardly across her back, obscured by a bit of her cloak. Adventurers guild. She thought to herself as she looked around, Ra watched Nessa's eyes with a sway of his tail, moving to chew on another Goji berry. He braced himself when Nessa started to walk, feeling the air against his fur.

Ness looked to the sky and closed her eyes in the warmth of the sun, the freckles on her body glimmered a bit more as she continued to walk along. It wasn't the warmest day, but she was comfortable in her clothing and her environment. She lived for days like this, the peacefulness was a nice aside from her usual hectic life style as a runaway.

Haki was on his way to the adventurer’s guilds but was he was distracted by the smell of sweets. He decided to stop at a nearby sweet shop and bought some cookies that he planned to share with Adrian. After buying everything he wanted, he started walking towards the guild once again. While walking he caught a particular scent of blood that reminded of the boy back at the tavern.

He took a deep breath then turn to look in the direction of the smell to find the boy tailing him. It was unexpected to find him still around. Haki would’ve imagined that he would be at the adventurer guild at this point. Taking a gander, he guessed that the boy was lost so he walked over to him.

“Hello. May I ask you why you are following me?” Haki asked with a smile.

Adrian made his way to the adventurer guild and entered the rather large guildhall. Once inside he headed to the back of the guild which was reserved for high ranking members of the guilds. It usually contained rare information and quests that are too dangerous for normal adventurers, as well as services that are overlooked by the law. Before he could access the restricted are a guard stood in his way and demanded his credentials. Adrian showed rank and was allowed entrance.

The area itself was a large library with a bar at the center as well as private rooms in the basement. He took a seat at the bar and was greeted by a large burly dwarf. "Lang time nae see mate. What bring ye here" the dwarf whose name is Targ asked.

"Business as usual. I need a private room. Got one for me?"

"Of course. Pick any ye like. They're all empty." Targ said with a loud and hearty laugh.

Adrian smiled than sat in silence waiting for Haki and the boy to make their way to the guild.

Chance froze up as Haki asked him why he was following him, his ears puffed slightly and he held back on baring his fangs.
"I...I" He started, shaking himself off before he straightened up a little, "You were headed to the Adventurers Guild, no?" He asked, deepening his voice to sound older than what he was.

He waited for a moment before he dropped his chest and ears, "You looked like you knew where you were headed." He admitted more in his natural tone, "I tend to get lost in towns like this and I wasn't really wanting to head in circles."

Nessa started in a run as she headed a slightly different route to the Adventurers Guild, she climbed the steps to the guildhall and entered with ease. She started her way back before a guard held his arm out and stared her down.
"Ah!" Nessa started, her ears pricking up as she stepped back to give herself space. "My apologies. I am meeting a friend in there, I'm afraid I'm not exactly from around here so I have no real rank."

The guard narrowed his eyes, keeping his hand up before he spoke.
"I'm sorry kid." He started, "This area is not for the likes of a Tief like you."
"A tief?" Nessa started to question before it dawned on her, "No no! I am a Starborn, I'm not a Tiefling." She started, moving to clasp her hands together before slowly pulling them away.

As she pulled her hands away from each other, a small glistening ball of light sparked to life, giving off heat as if it was a small sun. Nessa moved to lift the sunstar off her palm and moved to slip it into a small glass orb on her bag; she was never one to show off but when she needed to prove her powers, she would be stupid to just waste a star like that.

“And if I wasn’t? What would you do them? I could just be out to get some supplies or out to get food,” Haki said while releasing a bit of his magic to make the air dense and thick with malice, “but some words of wisdom. Don’t try and trail someone without completely hiding your presence. Especially in these parts of the kingdom where poachers don’t hunt animals but people. And a catch like you would make them a fortune, my little vampire.”

“But luckily for you, I am heading towards the guild. Follow me if you want to get there and next time just ask instead of trailing people. It is very rude,” Haki said with a chuckle. The magic in the air had completely disappeared and his usual warm and kind tone was back that contrasted with the one he used before. He had no intention of making an enemy of the boy but he wanted to see how the boy would react.

Haki started walking towards the guild making sure to slow down his pace so that the boy could follow seeing their massive size difference. He stood around 8 ft tall while the boy was barely 5 ft. “Would you like some sweets? They’re freshly baked.” Haki asked, offering the boy his bag full of baked goods.

After a bit of walking, he made it to the guild to find the woman from before being interrogated by a guard. He then noticed the object in her hand and the many eyes that were watching her. He quickly rushed to her side and hid the object with his rather large hand.

“She’s with me,” Haki said showing the guards his rank.

“O-Oh my apologies sir. Please enter,” the guard stuttered after seeing Haki’s rank with was the highest obtainable rank in the guild.

Haki nodded then quickly push the woman through the door. Luckily the guild was empty seeing that it was still early in the morning. “What were you thinking? announcing yourself like that? And showing off your magic. This is a town of poachers and slavers. What you see on the surface is nothing but a facade that hides the huge black market under the city,” Haki said then sigh loudly.

“My apologies for being so rough but you have to understand that this place isn’t safe. So what brings you to the guild? If you are meeting someone, they should have given you a pass to let you through the door,” Haki asked.

Chance felt his face redden as Haki spoke to him, "I'm not little." He hissed in anger before he rolled his eyes at Haki. "Your friend said he was going there. So I made the assumption you would have to help him out, seeing as he was mute." He said as he felt his ears flick backwards, his small tail swaying in anger before he followed Haki.

"Oh please," He started as Haki mentioned things being rude, "I've had worse and done worse before. I was making sure you were a safe guy."
His ears perked up at the idea of sweets, as much as he wanted to take them he gently shook his head.
"Thank you but no thank you." He started, "You brought those yourself for you and presumably your companion. I don't want one of you to miss out on a piece."

Chance watched Nessa as they neared her, tilting his head at what Haki hid, unable to see a bit of it until near the end.
Nessa looked almost shocked to see Haki before she smiled to him.
"My apologies." She said to him as she nodded, "I will be sure to make a note of that next time."
Her smile only grew wider when he mentioned that she should have been let through the door. "He was very adamant on not letting me through without a visible rank." She started with a roll of her eyes, she hadn't even acknowledged Chance at this point. "I presumed the Guild of all places would have been a safe place to notion towards my heritage." She started before she tilted her head.

"But you're here now, you were the one I was looking for. Although I didn't know your name and didn't exactly want to mention you were a Massive Wolf-man; that seemed rather insensitive." Nessa continued, Ra rolling his eyes as he looked around.
"Ness we're here to find the guy with the discoloured eye remember?" Ra said quickly, tapping at the womans horns, only getting a flinch as a response.

“My apologies for not introducing my self, My name is Haki. And I’m guessing your name is Ness,” Haki said, “Well generally guilds are safe but not in this part of the kingdom. Very powerful organizations are controlling this town which makes it as safe as a territorial dragon.”

What did that little thing say!

The voice boomed in his mind making him wince in pain. He tried to cover his ears but it did little to block the voice. Adrian quickly apologized and asked him to bring both of then down to the library. “Miss Ness I believe we are looking for the man so if you are willing to share information then there is a more private place for us to share. And I might have the whereabouts of the man we are all looking for if you’re interested,” Haki said after the ringing in his ears stopped.

Haki then turned and headed for the restricted part of the guilds. He showed his badge to the large guard who grunted in response. “They are with me so if you don’t mind please let them through,” he told the guard who grunted once again but this time sounding annoyed. Haki smiled and nodded at the guard before entering.

Adrian, who had been listening to all of Haki’s conversation up to this point, was now busy looking going through new information from their informant. It spoke of a man that had been seen at a nearby city and the description matched the man they were looking for. After hearing Haki he put the information away and turn to greet his companion.

Nessa smiled towards Haki as he introduced himself, she bowed her head happily as she followed. "Nessa." She introduced herself, "But please, call me Ness. There's no need to apologize, you were in a rush and you needed to be elsewhere." She said as she closed her eyes happily with a smile.

Her eyes widened when Haki mentioned they might be looking for the same guy. "Really?" Her freckles glistened excitedly, Ra moving to look down at Chance with a tilt of his head.
Chance looked to the small creature with a raised eyebrow, moving to shrug his shoulders before he flicked his ear slightly out of his hair, showing it to Ra before he hid it again.
"That's wonderful! And interesting, wonderfully interesting!" Ness said happily, she looked to Chance as they passed the guards. "And you young one? Whats' your name?"

Chances face deepened in red out of anger, he gritted his teeth slightly before he breathed in and closed his eyes, attempting to calm himself.
"My name is Chance." He started quietly, "I'm not young either, so I would rather you not address me as such." He added, making sure not to come off rude to curt. "I believe I am looking for the same man as well, As I showed your companion a picture and he wrote for me to come here."

Haki tried to hold back his amusement when Chance got angry about his age. “I mean, Chance you do look like you’re 12. It might be your height,” Haki said trying to sound as nice as he could knowing that it was a sensitive topic for Chance.

“Well we should get introductions out of the way, Adrian this is Nessa and her companion Ra. And the boy’s name is Chance. Chance, Nessa this is Adrian my companion” Haki said, “oh and the old dwarf behind the bar is Targ.”

“Who yee calling old you good for nothing puppy,” Targ screamed causing Haki laugh.

Before he could say anything more, Adrian punched Haki’s arm as hard as he could leaving a small bruise. Haki let out a whine and look at Adrian who had no remorse on his face. “Sorry…well we get started I guess,” Haki said, “please follow me.”

Haki lead the group to a nearby area with a large round table and a map of the entire world carved into the wood. Haki took a seat next to Adrian and waited for everyone to get seated before starting. “Right before we start. As you can see Adrian is mute so to make this easier we have enchanted some rings to allow for telepathic communication,” Haki said while Adrian set out two rings on the table.

“If you rather not use the magic item. I can translate though it’ll take a lot longer than if we use the ring,” Haki said.

Adrian kept silent the entire time so that he could keep an eye on the others. He didn’t trust chance because he was a vampire and Nessa was a complete mystery to him. Though he trusted Haki’s intuition when it comes to people, he had been wrong in the past which landed them into some unforgiving situation.

Chance bit his tongue as he felt words filled with venom towards Haki. He looked to Adrian as he gave a nod.
"We've briefly met." He said with a small nod before he moved to take the ring on the table, lifting it to look it over before he hesitantly slipped it onto his finger.
Ness did the same with a smile and nod towards Adrian, "A pleasure Mr. Adrian." She said as she slipped the ring on her right ring finger. She looked at it quietly before she looked up again.

Chance watched Targ quietly, "Puppy is easily an understatement, I would personally have used 'mutt', but I tend to only use that for the Werewolves I come across." He stated quietly before he moved to hop up at the table, turning to Haki quietly. "I can assure you I am not 12, I am easily older than you or even your grandparents." He said flatly.

Nessa sat on the other side of Chance and placed Ra on a chair as well, the smaller creature pulling himself up to look over the the table with a small blink.
"There really is no need to be rude to the people who are trying to help you." She said softly, getting a glare from the boy before she leaned down to look into his eyes, her eyes glistening like sunlight. "I would rather you drop the hard act, especially if you want to continue on the path of finding the man you are after."

Chance felt his fur stand on end as Nessa spoke to him, he stayed silent as Nessa straightened up and looked over the table herself. He shuffled his chair away from Nessa slightly before he cleared his throat. He fumbled with the material of his hooded jacket in silence as he felt his entire body tremble in fear.

Haki was about to defend himself when Adrian kicked him from under the table. “I apologize for my companion’s idiocy but let us get to the point. I have the location of the man with the scar and the discolored eye but I will not give information for free. So, I propose a trade. Information for information,” Adrian said bluntly.

As Adrian talked to the others he signed to Haki saying, “I need you to gather supplies for a 6 days journey. I want to leave tonight in case the man moves on. Get extra supplies in case they want to join us.”

Haki nodded then got up from the table, “since everything is in order I shall take my leave.”

He left the guild building and headed for the market where he got food and travel supplies. He continued to listen to the conversation back at the guild and monitor the state of the ring. It was enchanted to detect if the wearer is lying as well as allow for one way telepathic communication.

After getting all he could from the surface market, he headed to the underground market through the many secret entrances in the town. He did his best to stay out of sight as he bought magical ingredients for the road. He also bought blood in case Chance decided to join them. After getting the supplies he returned to the tavern to store everything he bought. He then returned to the guild and waited for Adrian to finish.

Nessa looked over to Adrian as he kicked at Haki.
"There is no need to apologize." She said as she watched Haki leave, but didn't say anything as she turned back to Adrian, "I am more than happy to exchange information, especially if it helps us with finding this man." She spoke rather diplomatically, with hints that she had obviously done this before.

Ra sat patiently, watching Adrian quietly, he could hear what he was saying since his mind was linked to Nessas', but he had nothing to contribute. He moved and pulled out another Goji berry and munched down on it happily.

Chance watched Haki leave and he seemed to relax, "I'd be up for an information trade." He started as he straightened up, "Of course it would depend on what sort of information I'd be trading though." He continued rather sternly, he watched Adrian closely as he spoke.
"I on the other hand, will tell you everything I know that you need to know." Nessa said as she looked towards Chance, getting a glare from the Faepire.
"You don't have to one up me madam Demon Spawn." Chance added angrily, getting a glance from Nessa as she turned back to Adrian.

Adrian kept a straight face as he watched Chance and Nessa’s interaction. After they stopped bantering Adrian said, “If you would please stop your bantering and let us focus on the matter at hand. The man in question was spotted by one of my informants a few days ago which means we don’t have much time until he moves again. Now my information on the man is limited but I do know that he has a scar over one eye which is a different color than the other. He also adept at magic with many connections to all over the kingdom but especially to an unknown king of a neighboring kingdom. But before I reveal the rest I have one question”

Adrian waited for a moment and thought about his next words. “It is very strange that we are all looking for the same man. So I would like to know why you all are looking for him? Personally, My companion and I are looking for him to pay an old debt.”

Nessa turned back to Adrian as he started to talk, she bowed her head gently. "My apologies." She said before he asked about why they were all after the same man. She fell rather silent for a moment, looking down at the table as she tried to think of ways to explain why she was after him.

"I want his head." Chance said calmly, although there was enough venom and malice behind his words to strike down a mammoth. "He's caused me too much grief to stay alive. Granted, he is the reason I am still alive to this very day, but he's also a monster who needs to pay for what he's done."
Nessa looked to the smaller man, sensing his malice before she spoke up again.

"He..." She started quietly, before continuing, "He was the one who has caused me to be stranded here." She kept her gaze at the table, "He also framed me for the murder of a friend I made when I first came to this world."
