Hello all. I'm a high school student who is relatively new at role playing. I'm not quite sure what to do or where to begin here, but I have done forum-based roleplaying and tabletop (anime campaign, D&D) before. If anybody could point me in the right direction, that would be superb. Thank you.

Hey! Welcome to the guild @AjaxNightshade, glad to see someone interested in learning forum based rpg. The most important thing is to remember to have fun! You can always ask for help and people will usually answer and help you out. Depending on your writing level (length and detail), you should start by checking the Free, Casual, Advanced and 1x1 role play sections, which you can find by scrolling down the front page. You'll see two different things for each section: the actual section where all the roleplays or rps are, and the "interest check". There you'll see advertisement of ideas people have for rps, and you can even make your own if you want to run an rp instead of joining one.

We also have an out of character section for general talks which you can also find in the front page, and a discord server where people hang out in real time. The button to join the server is at the top of the front page.

Most people on the guild are nice and will help you out. Come say hi in the chat! Lemme know if you have any more questions.

I don't have a whole lot of helpful advice to offer as I'm relatively new myself, but I've found this topic to be extremely helpful. It has various guides on everything from Roleplay etiquette to how to format on this website. There should also be a welcome package in your inbox with some helpful tips and advice as well. If you have any questions, then the staff and users here are usually happy to help from my experience!
