Dylan is well mannered and speaks with a southern drawl. He respects other people's points of view, and calls people "sir" or "ma'am" unless told otherwise regardless of their age. The kind of guy you pray your daughter will bring home to meet your family. However, when he has a gun in his hand or he is on a call he is anything but well mannered. He believes that there is NO shot he can't make! His attitude of, "If I can see it I can hit it" almost borders on arrogance, but he is able to back up his attitude with action. When he is on a call Dylan is all business and keeps his focus on the task at hand. Ask him a question on a call he tries to keep his answers to one to two words if possible.

Dylan grew up in the town of Granite Falls, West Virginia. His father died when he was twelve in coal mining accident which meant he had to help care for his mom and younger sister. His mom worked at the General Store and what money she made paid the household bills and that was it. Food would've been scarce if it wasn't for the fact that there was plenty of wildlife to hunt in their area. Dylan's mom couldn't afford a lot of ammo, so when Dylan shot he had to make sure he hit and killed what he was aiming at on the first try. A missed shot could mean the difference between eating for a couple of months or starving for those months. Dylan was determined to escape West Virginia so he enlisted in the Army when he graduated High School. Dylan's marksmanship earned him high praise from anyone and everyone in his outfit, but he didn't just want to be a "guy with a gun" so he trained, studied, and eventually became an MP. While he was in the Army Dylan met a nurse who was getting out soon named Carrie. She was from a town called Ramsey and she was going back there to try to make a difference. They fell in love and Dylan and Carrie got engaged the day after she got out of the Army. Dylan was going to meet up with Carrie in Ramsey once he finished his time in the Army.
Dylan arrived in Ramsey with no real plan and Carrie was employed at the hospital working in the E-R. Then one night changed everything. Carrie was murdered while at an ATM in a drive by shooting by the Roman St. Warriors. Every instinct told Dylan to leave, but Carrie loved her hometown, and Dylan promised her parents her killers would answer for what they did. He finally had a purpose Dylan was going to join the Police Department. Dylan blew through the Academy and joined the Ramsey Police Department. He thought he was going to be a typical patrolman, but word got out quickly about his marksman skills and he was brought on to the SWAT unit after being on patrol for only a year. Though Dylan knows he won't always be called upon specifically for his marksman skills he is willing to do whatever he can for the unit, but he knows if there is a shot to be taken Dylan knows it will fall on him.
