At night, the city comes to life. Drunken laughs, too loud music leaking from nightclubs below the street, glimmering lights staving off the dark, and yet still shadowy corners linger. There's another layer beneath it all. A layer right in front of every single city-dweller, but very few are privy to it. Very few are privy to what you're privy to, to the secrets of the city, the creatures of the night, and the hum of unnatural force that flows through the air.

You've sensed it for a while now. Something is amiss. Misfortune is adrift and you're afraid it's about to leave the visceral and turn very, very real.

But amidst the fear, or in spite of it, you know you're prepared to face whats to come. The city shares with you its secrets. And you've a few secrets of your own. Secrets that are about to come in very handy.

A table-top RPG adapted into a play-by-post, it will borrow some elements of the game, such as 'classes,' while foregoing others, such as dice rolls.

Here are the available Archetypes. Archetypes serve as this game's 'classes.' Only one Archetype per Player, please!

Aware: - a mortal human who has glimpsed a bit of the strange, who knows not all things are as they seem, and can see past disguises.

Hunter: - a mortal human trained to hunt creatures that aren't even supposed to exist.

Vampire: - once mortal, now a creature of the night that craves to feed off of human (blood, flesh, or emotions).

Werewolf: - once a mortal human, now cursed with a terrifying half-humanoid form.

Revenant: - a mortal human who died, now given a second chance at life to right the injustice done.

Wizard: - a mortal human who has found a way to harness the supernatural.

Hallowed: - a mortal human whose deeds has caught the attention and blessings of a powerful entity.

Immortal: - once human, and in ways still mortal, yet long-lived and cannot die of natural causes.

Tainted: - once human, but a contract, a sold soul, and twisted powers have long since changed that.

Dragon: - once a glorious and powerful creature, now permanently sealed in human form.

Ah! I see. I quite like that! I actually have another made-up city that pretty much resembles that description, except instead of raining, it's almost always overcast and cold, and at times it snows. Funny enough, it never rains there lol.

@Kal That's good to hear! Well, either way, it was a good idea to put it on this forum. I probably would have picked several other roles before doing werewolf, but now I've left my comfort zone and am going to write about something new, and I'm more excited to try to get the role then I would have been, otherwise. Plus, it makes every character feel special and important.

...Just so I'm clear, there is only one person per archetype? As in, only one werewolf, only one hunter, only one vampire? It would be pretty embarassing if I misunderstood that but it's better I clarify now, lol. I mainly ask because there are 6 spots claimed, but there are 10 total players.
