Cassidy is a seven-foot tall centaur, a human-horse hybrid. Her skin is pale white flecked with brown on both halves, and her ears tend to blend in with her long, messy brown hair. Always ready to hit the trail, she's rarely seen outside of her black and brown leathers or without her gear, and when she's traveling she'll usually find something unique from that location to don for the occasion.

Cassidy may look young to our eyes, but her story goes back a long way. Hers started when she was just a foal and she was taken from her herd somewhere in Greece by an eccentric millionaire and shipped to Texas, only to escape into the West at the first opportunity to flee. She was raised by the Apache and taught to fight before she set out on her own terms, but instead of going home to Greece the untameable Cassidy headed west, seeking her own fortune and glory. It's said that she bumped shoulders with all of the famous names of the wild west, learning how to shoot from Billy the Kid, how to play poker from Wild Bill Hickock, and how to raise hell from Calamity Jane. Of all the wild figures, she may have just been the wildest of the bunch, going from robbing banks with Cassidy and the Wild Bunch to knocking back drinks with Doc Holiday.

The Wild West couldn't last forever though, and like all the legends she fought alongside and even against, the wild Chrys Cassidy just wasn't made for the turn of the century. Not one to quietly retire, she planned to ride out the old west in style, but things took a rather weird turn for her when she traveled up to the Alaskan frontier for one last job, leading a posse to hunt down some kidnappers. Tracking down the villains, who turned out to be black-garbed men with a strange eye insignia on their lapels, a simple round up turned into a shootout when the two were accosted by, of all things, a band of ice giants who mistook Cassidy's posse for the black-garbed men's allies. In the chaotic brawl, Cassidy was struck by a ki-powered ice attack that froze her solid, and the chaotic battle triggered an avalanche that buried her in the snow and rubble.

She would have most likely remained their forever until a band of scientists seeking to create the perfect life form went looking for her, wanting to use her DNA in their creation. Assuming that she had naturally died in the avalanche, they thawed her out and secured a sample of her genetic material. Or at least they tried, not knowing that the ice from a ki attack hadn't killed her but kept her in suspension, and were almost as surprised as she was when Cassidy woke up. Making a chaotic escape, the centaur cowgirl emerged into a much different time period then she left behind. To anyone else, being transported forward a good hundred years or so may have been a debilitating shock.

For Cassidy though? It was just another wild ride!

Cassidy is a unique fighter, combining physical ability with gunplay and a creative use of tools and tricks. Being a centaur, she's built to fight with a deadly combination of hard hits and mobility, dancing in and out of range before coming in for a brutal strike. Her species has a natural ability to imbue their weaponry with ki energy, putting them on the same level as nomads with the proper training, and she certainly has plenty of that to spare. She's a natural shot with her reliable arsenal of six-shooters and repeaters, quick on the draw and deadly accurate, and if that wasn't enough she can work a lasso and set up traps to keep you in place while she lines up her shots. In general, it's best to remember there's a reason they called her Wild Chrys Cassidy back in the day.

Cassidy may be a scrappy fighter and a deadly shot, but against a seasoned fighter like herself, she lives or dies off her mobility. If she's in an enclosed space or prevented from moving freely, she has to rely on her toughness to stay alive, which is definitely not her optimal strategy. She also lacks the restraint that comes with experience, and can be goaded into a bad decision rather easily if she's not thinking clearly.

■ Since being unfrozen, she's worked with both the League of Bounty Hunters and has been a recurring side character on the Justice Riders show, oftentimes facing off against a certain masked vigilante.

■ The last guy who made a joke about riding her is in a shallow grave two miles off the Rio Grande with a belly full of lead. Don't try it.

Rosie’s form shifts and changes regularly, often shifting slightly to appear more appealing to whoever they are currently speaking to, but there are a few constants. They (at their tallest) stand at an impressive 6’10” in their impressive pair of black heeled boots, with skin toned an ambiguous shade of bronze. They have deep hazel eyes contoured with expertly-applied makeup, though one of their eyes is perpetually covered by their head of thick, bronze hair that goes down past their hips. They typically wear tight, dark gray pants, an understated gray coat, black gloves, and a stylish black beret. No matter how they appear, they always seem to radiate a quiet aura of otherworldly beauty.

A very, very long time ago, Rosier was an angel. They like to say that they were a pretty important one, too. When they’re asked about why they aren’t one anymore, their answer often changes. Sometimes they say that they were a little too zealous. Sometimes they answer that they simply got bored, or that being a perfect embodiment of light and good was too stressful.

Regardless, they were a demon from that point on, a creature of lust and temptation. They enjoyed their job for the most part, though for whatever reason, they sometimes felt like their heart just wasn't in it. It was only around the mid-19XX’s when they really began to realize their true calling: Art. There was something that struck them about Earth’s natural beauty. It wasn’t eternally perfect like in their first home, nor was it eternally tarnished like in their second. It was varied, fleeting, and somewhere in between the two extremes. It was something they felt deserved to be captured.

They began to travel across the world, painting whatever they found to be worth painting, and making a quick buck selling whatever they thought was worth sharing. While it was something of an odd set of decades for the devil, it was very much fulfilling, and they never stopped travelling regardless of what friends or foes they made along the way, though they often settled for the occasional bit of mercenary work or similar odd jobs.

That is, until they fell in love with a particularly infamous hero.

And had a child.

Parenting was certainly a strange new experience for Rosie, especially since the father never stuck around. Nevertheless, they loved their son Isabella in a way they had never loved anything or anyone before, and they shifted their efforts towards parenting until he was old enough to leave the nest. Well, perhaps he went through a lot after he left it, but… it was a complicated situation. One that Rosie was never quite sure how to navigate.

Afterwards, Rosie returned to their artistic endeavors, up until they got involved in the quest for the Stone of Power. They were a strictly neutral party, often changing sides depending on whoever was offering the biggest paycheck at the time. In the end, they fought to defeat Oh-One in the final battle, walking away with a decent paycheck. They took a well-earned vacation in Gold City afterwards, partially to relax, and partially to keep an eye on their son.

Rosie’s fighting style is typically as smooth and fluid as they are themselves; they can stay light on their feet with swaying dodges and graceful swings of the knife in one moment, only for their opponent to find themselves with a heel on their throat or that knife in their back the next. It’s all about finesse and well-applied force, switching from serenity to brutality whenever the opportunity presents itself. They typically use their palette knife (actually the sealed form of their greatsword, Rembrandt), coated in shadow magic to turn it into a proper blade. Though if a bit more range and power is needed, they’re perfectly comfortable using the same magic to turn their boots into literal stiletto heels, putting their fantastic legs to work with a variety of kicks.

At range, using their paintbrush, they can leave ink in midair that can be used to make what they paint reality. With much room for creativity and stylistic flair, it’s their preferred method of fighting by a long shot.

When they get motivated, they’ll typically unseal the magics binding their immortal being, returning both themself and their greatsword to their true shadowy forms as they brush off their fast and brutal demonic fighting style.

As an ancient being, Rosie is well-trained in being able to sense all varieties of ki and magical energy.

Rosie fights only decently at close range and excels at longer ranges, but falters at medium ranges where Cross Section is the only attack with the lack of setup time they need to be effective. Anyone with the luxury of fighting comfortably in that range can shut down Rosie’s ability to fight back if they can keep up with their attempts to move out of it. In demon form, the same concept applies to long-range combat while they cover their mid-range weaknesses.

All of their paintbrush attacks are based on their own perception. If their vision is impaired, they become useless even if “aimed” correctly.

Though they are immortal, Rosie needs strength to maintain their physical form, and it can be dispersed if they take enough of a beating. At least, until they can gather enough power to remake it. Though decent, their endurance is nothing special, and they are especially vulnerable to holy and light-based attacks.

Rosie rarely takes fights seriously; being immortal, they rarely find stakes even in what others might consider a life or death battle. By the time they do start taking it seriously, the opponent may already have the upper hand.

You can't say that Samson doesn't look like some sort of a gang member. Dragon tattoos. A broken nose bridge and cauliflower ear. That aura, stench with the smell of lowborn, streetwise, and uneducated. And his speech, always with some sort of anger about to explode, goes well enhancing the impression of a lower-class citizen.

And he dressed like one as well. Tank top. Jeans or shorts. It is only when he is currently serving that he dressed more formally. Under specific lengths and widths for his shirts, so the buttons wouldn't explode every time he breathed. A black vest with shoulder pads, adding the more oomph to the 2 meters giant, should he found himself in need of some convincing work. Black pants and black shoes. And a blue tie, because an Asian can't wear all black.

To bend a fucking metal bar with his eye socket.

As a child, he wanted to bend a metal bar with his eye socket. He wanted to bend blades with bare hands, leap through fire, and sleep on a bed of daggers. Those are the thing what he wanted to be accomplished during his childhood. He wanted to be a martial artist. And so he trained.

And through trials and tribulations, training montages, secret techniques, and under the tutelage of a wise sage/sifu, Samson became who he is today."

This above was a joke.

Truth be told, Samson didn't have much reason to train martial arts in the first place. While the desire to bend metal with his eye sockets was real back then, so does his desire to slack off and playing games as a child. It was mostly due to his parents' belief that martial arts trained a person's lifestyle that led Samson to be forced into martial arts. At first, he trained Wing Chun with his fathers. Then, he learned Five Forms from the local dojo but specialize in tiger and snake. After that, boxing and karate. And finally, JKD.

It didn't take too long for martial arts to integrate into Samson's life, becoming a portion of his daily schedule. Still, Samson was not very interested in martial arts as he is now. After all, how many martial artists can catch a bullet? He had heard about a man defeating ten other men. He had yet to hear of a man deconstructed an entire battalion. He had a negative view toward Nomads, believing that they are nothing more than glorified CGI effects and tricks that governments and large corporations created to enforce some ideologies on the masses.

That is until he saw how profitable it is.

Eight years ago, Samson became the champion of House Miyamoto's Tournament in Hong Kong. It didn't take long for them to have his contact. And he signed up with them, just because of how lucrative the deal was. At the age of 19, he had his first car. A few years after that, a penthouse. Just in a nick of time, Samson tasted the fruit of something he never intended to plant before. And it was sweet.

Getting into the Nomad inner circles also gave Samson more insight toward these particular "people." Their value. Their powers. Their ideas and dreams. The meaning of being a Nomads. How martial arts seems to have more weight beneath the waves... So, these days, Samson trained even harder than before. Because if he is stronger, he is more valuable. And if he is more valuable, his contracts would be more sought after. Currently, he had just finished a contract protecting a VIP at Gold City. And if it wasn't because of the recent attack by the Mirage, he would have probably left the Golden City.

Samson's fighting style remind of a mountain and an avalanche combined. Unmoveable when being station. Unstoppable once moved. As such, his fighting style consists of multiple strong attacks like grapples, palm strikes, punches, shoulder bash,... He doesn't have too many sides-tricks like throwing dirt or elbowing the lower-half like others do, considering those tricks beneath himself. Still, not using it doesn't mean he is not prepared against it.

But aside from that, his techniques are pretty straight forward. He hits hard. His grip can bend metals. And he is just going to be here, enduring everything the enemies throw at him. Because he is a mountain. And a mountain is him.

Being a mountain does have its flaw. Samson doesn't move very often, only able to use sidesteps as a means of positioning himself and dodging. And if the enemy is a very mobile one, all he can do is charge at them and hope he could pin them down.

Nothing for now.

Jabin doesn't don the usual armor a regular MAVERICK agent wears, but does look like he belongs in MAVERICK. He stands at an imposing 6'5" with a moderately muscular build and is one of the larger members of the Nomad Division he is in. He isn't normally clean-shaven, but keeps a well trimmed beard and has shaved his head. Furthermore, Jabin also exudes an aura of professionalism mixed in with a discerning gaze.

When it comes to his attire, he has the usual MAVERICK markings on both of his shoulder-pads while donning a red bodysuit and black combat pants. The outfit wouldn't be complete without his reinforced Kevlar vest, which has been heavily modified by MAVERICK with experimental fabric and plating to reinforce him against bullets, as well as Ki-based assaults. Jabin also has four gun holsters strapped to the sides of his legs. While red knee-pads and jet black combat boots could easily close out his duds, he also sports a black and red monoscope on his right eye, which allows him to assess his opponents weak points.

Before he was Jabin Miyamoto, a MAVERICK agent in the Intelligence and Nomadic Division, he was Jabin Santos.

Born in Rio, Brazil, Jabin came into the world in a relatively normal family that was situated in a rather bad neighborhood. Before they were known as the O Massacre de Soldados, they were a bunch of goons and small-time thugs that often caused trouble around Jabins neighborhood and some other parts of Rio. Sure, it was safe to play during most of the day... sometimes. If you were a Nomad that could take care of yourself, sure, these were nothing but small-fry to you. However, there was a neighborhood curfew that was always imposed on the children to avoid falling into these circles.

Unlike Jabins uncle, who was in a better side of town without all these troubles, Jabin always had the same mundane, dangerous routine. Go to school, have fun with his friends, cower in the insides of your home and pray one of those ruffians didn't decide to break in and destroy their property. It was a tiring and infuriating life that sometimes result in some families disappearing entirely while these gangsters managed to somehow get access to more dangerous weapons, as well as began to increase their clout. It didn't take a rocket scientist, let alone Jabin to connect the dots and honestly, he had grown to despise these thugs. In his childlike mind, he was going to try and be a hero and hatched a plan to try and take down and potentially expose these crooks for what they were.

It went as well as you might expect, resulting in most of these children getting beaten, bruised, and kidnapped, Jabin included amongst the rabble. If not for a passing Nomad making mincemeat of these hooligans, causing them to flee with their tail in-between their legs, it is unknown what his final fate would be. The Nomad, despite looking like a gruff, older gentleman displayed kindness by escorting each of the children home, Jabin included. He got scolded for his actions harshly, and the family attempted to figure out how much to pay the Nomad for his actions. Much to their shock, he turned them down and with a smile, departed from their abode.

The following day was a normal one, just school with a couple of them entering with band-aids, bruises, and dirty looks directed at Jabin. Besides that, the day nearly played out like a regular day, save for one anomaly after he finished school for the day - that one Nomad that saved them was in their house. As he entered, he saw the man chatting with one of his parents, as well as someone else on the phone before introducing himself to the young man as Conrad Miyamoto, the current head of House Miyamoto. He stated his intentions to the young man, as well as the offer he was willing to give him and his family - a chance to move out of this neighborhood and come to the U.S.

The catch? Jabin would train with other children much like himself under his family's guidance as a Miyamoto, not as a Santos. Jabin, honestly didn't know how to feel with this, as this seemed a bit out of the blue and almost too good to be true, remained quiet and skeptical, not giving a direct answer before heading to his room, but not before eavesdropping on the rest of the conversation. Apparently, this Conrad man saw potential in him as a Nomad and something about him having a high amount of Ki? While Jabin did know about Nomads, he didn't completely understand all this lingo and merely listened to the rest of the conversation.

While Conrad didn't demand an answer right now, he left them with a choice, stating that he understood if they weren't comfortable taking up the offer and absconded, but not before leaving his number and stating he would be leaving Rio in about a week. That was their time-frame. Jabin didn't know what to feel about this whole situation and his parents were equally conflicted as well due to this offer, as well as being suspicious about this man being a Miyamoto.

However, the conditions were ripe and ready to be taken with what would follow. The gangs around the neighborhood, despite hearing about what transpired the other night began to grow bolder these next following days, even breaking into houses in the middle of the day from time to time. They were, perhaps, a little too bold, but nevertheless, that boldness did make Jabin's parents rethink the decision. On the other, most of the kids began to stay away from him after that little stunt and grew to fear the gangs were coming for them next due to how they were acting up, which made Jabin think that, maybe getting out of here wasn't such as bad call.

And so, contacting Conrad, they took the man up on his offer, though not after discussing certain terms, what type of job the breadwinner of the family had, etc. It wasn't long before Conrad was paying for their tickets and giving Jabin's father a position in one of the subsidiary company's under House Miyamoto. And so began Jabins new life.

Living away from his parents was difficult for the young Jabin, namely because despite the offer and lodgings that was bigger than his old house, it felt weird walking around this mansion of mansions. It also was a bit strange seeing so many different types of kids, despite being one of the older ones there, and felt awkward around them. He wasn't like some of the more outgoing kids, so he kept mostly to himself during this time of familiarization.

What followed a month later was some of the harshest training he would have to undergo for his childhood, which put both a physical and mental strain on him each day. Of course, some of the other children seemed to either have similar issues as him or seemed to glide through this issue easily. They also had some sparring sessions, as well as Ki manipulation sessions to gauge how they were all performing; for sparring sessions, he was often one of the worst at it, but when it came to manipulating Ki? He pretty much topped everyone.

Over time, he began to open up to his other 'siblings,' namely thanks to the help of one familiar face he saw early on that seemed to be getting along with others - Jonas. He was a bit of a spunky kid, usually had to be reigned in by Jae, one of their sisters who was well disciplined and considered a traditionalist by Jonas, whatever that meant. It was a strange but fruitful friendship, having to break up some of their squabbles to having to watch over them at times, to even spending time watching movies or playing video games with them.

Thanks to the both of them, he grew to be a bit more empathetic and began to developing a bit of a more discerning gaze when it came to each of them all, ranging from realizing when Jae was genuinely happy in spite of her stoic demeanor to the worry in Jonas' eyes after one night of breaking curfew whilst holding some papers.

As time pass, they would all grow to bond with the other siblings, but always managed to maintain a close connection with one another. Eventually they would all begin to go their separate ways, and thanks to how they were taught, would easily breeze through the rest of their education. He couldn't remember what Jae went into, but she did work part time at a library while going on to teaching the next generation of Miyamotos, as well as students from rich families who paid to be taught here. Jonas, on the other hand, breezed through it all and got a Ph.D., as well as seemingly straightened himself out, nice!

Jabin would go on to get a Law Enforcement degree and managed to find a job at MAVERICK, thanks to his surrogate parents connections. While he did have to go through strenuous training to determine if he could handle the tasks and work at hand, it was more of a formality for him than anything thanks to the Miyamoto's physical conditioning. He was able to find a job within the Nomadic Division and would eventually also come to work in the Intelligence Division as well after a couple of years.

The jobs he went on were relatively easy to do, at least to him. These types of jobs would often range from suppressing Nomad terrorists that threatened the livelihood of people to exposing a conglomerate for their actions and raid one of their facilities to destroy bio-weapons, the works. He probably wouldn't tell you this, but he was mildly disturbed and a bit regretful for the latter one due to said facility housing a show his kid loved. Oh yeah, he also got married during around his time in MAVERICK to a woman working at one of the House Miyamoto's subsidiary companies and had a kid with them, and they have a second on the way.

Regardless, life would go on for Jabin, though he wasn't blind to the seemingly innocuous changes within the company. After a relatively simple change in leadership when he was twenty-six, years before the raid on a P&S facility, everything felt a bit off. Maybe it had to do with their new, mysterious faceless leader, or the way most of the regular soldiers were acting completely loyal to this person, despite never meeting them before.

He has been doing his best to discreetly look into these matters but has been constantly distracted by the bombardment of multiple missions, a couple of reassignments to different areas, as well as having to handle his family life. Despite all this, Jabin was going to get to the bottom of this, one way or another.

Despite being trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Jabin very seldom utilizes this fighting style and primarily relies on his four specialty crafted pistols to deal damage. Thanks to MAVERICK and their studies, they were able to created a few weapons that become empowered even further when acting as a 'medium' for said Nomads to enhance their Ki techniques.

Like most of his other adoptive siblings, Jabin possesses a large amount of Ki, but unlike them he is much more adept at Ki manipulation. He can transfer his Ki into the gun, allowing them to form Ki-bullets which he can then manipulate to have myriads of different properties, ranging from giving a bullet its own gravitational pull to making the bullet inherently bouncy to even turning it into an explosive round. Essentially, he has multiple tricks up his sleeve with the amount of specialty bullets he can craft from his own Ki, which he can then integrate into his own ranged combos. Of course, there's also the fact that he has to reload the guns. When that happens, both the bullets themselves and their properties vanish due to being connected to that set of ammo.

It also helps that he is a pretty damn good shot, though being damn good doesn't help when an opponent is up close and personal. Again, while he does know various Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques, he would preferably stay at range; thankfully he can warp said techniques in a way to work in his favor and get back to a favorable position.

Jabin, while he can fight up close, is primarily a ranged fighter and relies on keeping his opponent away to build up damage. While he is decently bulky due to his high Ki reserves, he struggles to get opponents away from him, only having really only one move that can get them away from him and even that can easily be broken out of.

Furthermore, while he can use regular guns to pull off most of his attacks, they will deal considerably less damage than the specialty pistols crafted for him due to not being able to properly focus his Ki. Speaking of guns, if he doesn't have a firearm on him, he loses access to Bullet Time, his strongest Specialty Move, as well as other sets of moves, severely limiting what he can do in a fight. While Jabin can rely on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he isn't as effective with it as his siblings.

■ Originally was going to go for a teaching degree before changing his focus to law enforcement degree; is planning to go back to college some time to finish his other major.

Cain, to put it politely, immediately resembles a corpse prepared for burial that up and walked out of the casket. Standing at 5’11, Cain’s build is emaciated and his skin is borderline chalk white, along with dark bags under his eyes and messy black hair adding to his wraithlike appearance. His face carries numerous blackened scars along with a particularly nast gash along the left side of his mouth exposing his teeth and jaw underneath.

Cain’s attire is relatively simple. Darkened jeans, black boots, dark grey hoodie with a dark blue denim vest and dark red beanie over his frenzied hair. For obvious reasons he’ll wear his hood over his face when outside in crowds of people. His chain is wrapped around his wrist for quick use, adding to his disheveled and punklike appearance.

Adam Vrbata had dedicated his life to the cause.

Coming from an, to him, unacceptably unambitious father and naive brother. He had dreamed of impacting the world for the better, of making a difference. Though not much to write home about as a fighter, his unquenchable desire for improvement and drive led him from The Army Of The Czech Republic to MAVERICK and eventually to MIRAGE once word of his pull on others and peerless mental fortitude reached Abel’s ears.

Adam was easily taken in by Abel’s spiel. Protecting the world itself from something greater than nomads had him apply himself more than ever before. Studying under Abel’s tutelage and going from a dime a dozen pointman to a trusted operative. While no nomad, Adam engrained himself as a valuable asset to MIRAGE’s goals. But to someone devoted to a cause already, an understudy equally as devoted and loyal is still only a tool.

Adam found himself heavily wounded after leading an operation that would distract forces from a raid Abel’s team would be conducting, the armed response being more than they had anticipated and managing to chip away at MIRAGE’s robotic forces. The rest of Adam’s team were wiped out, Adam himself only barely clinging to life when his body was recovered by Abel’s team to ensure he wouldn’t be taken alive for interrogation.

Abel stood over his would be protege and offered him a chance. He could guarantee no miracle, but there was a project they were experimenting with that may allow Adam to continue his service, albeit in a more direct form. Unwilling to die pointlessly, Adam agreed.

The experiment was one Abel had been testing in small doses both within MAVERICK and MIRAGE. A new type of operative that could be mass used as needed and quickly turn any soldier into a beyond equal match for a nomad. A type of phantom that could heal wounds, hit with devastating force and utilise abilities outside the realm of ki or magic. All while still being under control with Abel’s desires. It was thought Adam, if he survived, with his tireless devotion and loyalty would be the perfect first candidate. Stabilized and still holding on, Adam underwent the procedure.

And died. Violently. Whatever had been concocted that would allow his body to perform these incredible feats instead tore him apart, burning his flesh and melting through his insides. Those in charge of the project, including Abel himself, watched as their prototype turned quite literally to ash.

The project was scrapped and discarded and forgotten.

Adam Vrabata’s mundane family disappeared one day. Friends and neighbours fed clues that the thought of losing their beloved son to a rogue nomad while under MAVERICK had been too great a stress to bare that they moved far away from their home country and never looked back.

Adam Vrbata’s name was expunged from every record that carried it. No loose ends.

Yet, the project had not failed completely. What remained of Adam Vrbata within the bowels of the project facility began to restructure itself, flawed but whole, Adam Vrbata walked again. MIRAGE forces were quickly called to the scene and slaughtered by abilities promised by and foreign to the project’s original intention, every ounce of force thrown at Vrbata would destroy him only for him to reconstitute himself moments later and continue the onslaught.

Eventually, he tore right through and escaped into the air. Lost and confused, he could feel no cold or warmth or rain against his skin, food no longer had any taste. He still felt the agony of his injuries. Worst of all, he had been exposed repeatedly to the fact that his actions with MIRAGE were never as noble as previously thought. He found he could not justify the atrocities he had allowed to be committed as casualties of war. All he had given, and all Abel and MIRAGE had taken.

Seeing a group of nomads destroy the mechanical monster known as Oh-One he decided then and there to become Cain. Perhaps he could not change the world, he was never any kind of hero he liked to believe. But he could eviscerate an evil he knew to exist.

MIRAGE was going to be ripped and torn down to the last man. But as for Abel, Cain knew there much, much worse fates than death...

Once a soldier trained in rifles, automatic weapons and close quarters combat, Cain has long since disbanded his old skills in favour of his new ones. Cain is, in many ways, a living ghost. His body can reconstitute itself after a time from fatal injuries even from being crushed or burned to nothing, if the smallest piece of Cain exists, he will be back sometime later. He is able to break his body down at will and move at blindingly fast distances to act as a teleport and faster means of travel when moving and his body can twist and disfigure itself in strange ways to deliver pummeling blows to opponents.

Cain is deadly fast and extremely hard hitting, while hardly an experienced nomad, his abilities belay that of any known form of ki usage or magic, making him difficult for unfamiliar fighters to predict and contend with. His inhuman anatomy has even enabled him to fashion his body into weapons.

Cain is very very fast and very very damaging and he cannot truly die, but he is by no means unstoppable. The majority of Cain’s special moves leave him wide open if they miss or are dodged or parried and his fighting style is extremely all or nothing and primarily suited towards singular opponents than larger groups. Further, he’s not a nomad and gains no benefit of natural ki defense, he can withstand a lot of punishment before dying due to his wraithlike nature but his limbs and body can be torn apart as easily as any other normal human. Additionally, all three of Cain’s supers kill him, two of which fully destroying his body which can take several days before he fully restructures himself to fight again.

■ Despite his dreary look and fighting style, Cain is fairly composed, calm and affable if not outright polite to most people. The exception being MAVERICK and especially MIRAGE employees or affiliates. It would be an extremely difficult feat to have Cain stay his hand in the presence of such individuals.

■ Despite his hatred for MIRAGE and Abel however, he actually still believes in MIRAGE’s goals, or at least the ones he was told about. Though he has come to feel tremendous self-disgust for the actions he participated in in pursuit of those goals.

■ Cain’s senses are muddled. He can hear and see normally but has difficulties with smell and can no longer taste. He is able to feel pain and emotion but cannot feel the differences of warmth and cold or rain against his skin.

Arianna is extremely short, standing at 4'9", to the point that she occasionally gets mistaken as being younger than she really is. She has messy black hair she never cares to arrange, and tired blue eyes clearly lacking any proper rest schedule.

She almost pathologically wears the same token equipment, the Huginn-Module, which is a dark-blue colored jacket with a cyan-colored stripe running up it. It comes with a long-beaked bird mask with glowing-blue eyes, which when not active Arianna usually pushes up atop her head. Underneath, she usually wears a white t-shirt and shorts, with a belt of various technological gizmos wrapped around her waist, with a pair of shoes that match the jacket's pattern. The sleeves of the jacket are able to extend to extremely large, also ejecting a pair of sharp talons.

Franklin Legose was a great private inventor, having created dozens of different stealth and reconnaissance technology throughout his life. However, his accomplishment in innovation turned to horror when he discovered that several of his inventions, originally intended for wildlife observation and forensics, were eventually repurposed by various military and mercenary groups as tools of espionage and war once they left his hands. Seeing how his own ambitions had been warped so far beyond his intent disgusted him from the idea of contributing any more potential devices of war, and so he retreated from the world into isolation with his family.

At first, he had his concerns of his daughter, Arianna, reacting poorly to the change of moving into near-total isolation from the rest of the world, but he had found she had a curiosity in the various animals in the wilderness around their home. Seeking to encourage such an interest, he decided to build one last project for her-- The Huginn-Module. Completing the device, she was then able to observe the world up close and personal while remaining distant from it.

One day though, she found several other armed men patrolling the forest, as if they were searching for her. Using the Huginn-Module to evade them, she immediately returned home-- Only to find a smoking pile of wood instead, her home burnt to the ground. Fiddling through it’s remains, she found no trace of her father or who destroyed her home, But knew that it was because of the Huginn-Module that they came, and thanks to it that she escaped.

For several days after, she wandered through the wilderness. Then, she encountered (or rather, was encountered by) a strange woman whose features she could not identify. Despite the Huginn-Module being active and concealing her, she saw straight through it and to Arianna, offering her a place with a group known as Horizon Frontiers. Though initially wary because of her own father’s distrust with lending his technology elsewhere, the woman assured her that, if Arianna had accepted, she would do more than enough good for humanity to repair her father’s own previous burdens. And so she accepted, becoming Horizon Frontiers’ top recon operative. Though she’s become increasingly aware and jaded to Horizon Frontiers’ true operations, every revelation only convinces her to double down in her efforts, in the hope that her father’s ultimate contribution to the world will be a positive one.

Arianna's fighting style is one suited best for the exact opposite of it's purpose, fighting. She's not Horizon Frontiers' ideal fighter, instead being their espionage expert. But, if push comes to shove, she's been trained and augmented the Huginn-Module to be able to hold her own, at the very least until she can escape, analyzing and predicting an opponent's moves while moving quickly and landing weak yet precise blows at them.

Arianna isn't even suited for combat; She lacks any real physical strength or endurance, instead keeping safe distance between her and the opponent. She's also highly dependent on the Huginn-Module, just to barely-match most other fighters, becoming functionally defenseless if either she's caught without it or it becomes damaged.

What else?

Jamie dresses with a distinctively Contemporary Western flair, a holdover from his days with the Texas Rangers. Most notably, he is almost never without a cowboy hat of some sort, and even his formal wear is evocative of Westerns. Typically he wears dark blue jeans and a grey western suit jacket over a lavender dress shirt. He keeps his whip on his hip, within easy reach, and wears a set of fingerless gloves when fighting.

Born and raised in raised in the heart of West Texas, Jamie he easily split his time between his duties on the ranch and the classroom and excelling in both. He was a model youth, joining the local Scout troop, Captaining the debate team, and even winning medals as part of the school Judo team. By the time he graduated high school, he was set on studying Law and becoming a Texas Ranger. For him this meant joining the Army, taking advantage of the ROTC to get his degree in Criminology. After nearly a decade of service in the army, he was honorably discharged with plenty of experience with the Military Justice System under his belt.

From there, it was a (relatively) simple matter of joining the famous organization, spending nearly ten years working as a Detective in Company E of the Texas Ranger Division. There he became known for his bulldog nature, wrapping up criminals in a legal snare of their own creation before bringing the hammer down on them. For the more rough and tumble ki-using criminals that chose not to come in quietly, Jamie was more than happy to make them regret their need to fight back. Needless to say, once MIRAGE started making trouble, he was quickly transfered to MAVERICK, one of many law enforcement officials that volunteered in the call to bulk up the agency in the face of the new threat.

At least that's the story he tells most people.

In reality he's been working with MAVERICK for nearly his whole civillian career. Plenty of his cases had an angle that interested them in some way, and a majority of the serious criminals he caught were wanted by MAVERICK already. THeir assitance was always welcome, as they were happy to let local law enforcement pick and choose which cases to transfer to MAVERICK. However things started to chafe in the last few years. Even prior to the offical transfer, more and more cases were taken out of his hands and transfered to a MAVERICK investegation team. Years of evidence handed over to them, and the perp would disappear into their custody, never to be heard from again.

It came to a head one night when he was called out to investegate a massive fight in a warehouse outside of the small town of Clearspring. Even as he showed up, boxes were being taken away in unmarked vans by MAVERICK agents, along with numerous bodies. He was given a pre-written report to sign off on. He exploded, throwing the report back in the agent's face and storming off, shouting that he would make sure that the Ranger Chief would know of this interference.

He didnt even get to his car before he was subdued.

The Jamie that walked back into his office the next day was a changed man. He turned in his report, attributing the fight to drug cartels. And so to this day he has served MAVERICK, and by extention MIRAGE, duitifully. Covering up their activities, fabricating evidence against their enemies, and carefully scouting out other Rangers to turn to their side. Eventually he was told to transfer into MAVERICK offically, and he duitifully did so, freeing himself to serve at their leisure. Over the years he traveled from country to country, helping clean up MIRAGE's messes, either with a polite smile and drawl, a badge and a warrant, or fist to the face.

Jamie's fighting style is very grappling centric. He uses his strength and skill to grapple opponents before subduing them with a flurry of strikes. To this end, he uses a whip to restrain and control his targets, controlling them as he moves in like a bulldog. Beyond the typical ki augmentations of strength, speed, and endurance; Jamie specializes in generating electricity for his attacks.

Most of Jamie's special moves require room to swing his whip, which does telegraph what he is about to do. Furthermore, his whip has a limited range, and a sweet spot of use, meaning that Jamie is unable to hit targets outside the range of his whip and is less effective when he cannot get a full swing of his arm. Additionally, most of his hard hitting moves require setting up in the form of Entangle.

- Jamie does in fact still carry a pistol, and is quite a good marksman, but due to the nature of nomads it is normally of little use in a fight.
- Jamie is fluent in Spanish and English, but makes no attempt to disguise his thick Texan accent.

Jaden certainly has a presence to him. He's tall (at six-five), muscular, and confident. He can draw the attention of an entire crowd with his voice alone. Though, he has that cockiness to him, from that shit-eating grin to the way he walks. Jaden is a loud, and a spastic person that hard to predict, yeah. One could easily identify him as a Nomad from his attire - mostly the blades that he carries around on his being, and pouches. He has two katanas strapped to his back, his two mainstay weapons, and a larger katana at his waist, a sword given to him by a friend. And the most important weapon on his other hip... his mic. He looks like trouble, but fortunately, he's on the side of the good guys (in his special way). Jaden usually wears jeans, or slacks of some kind, with a T-shirt. Jaden is African-American, with his dark-skin, thick lips, and African skull shape. He speaks with a thick urban accent.

The story of the Ronin Rapper begins in Philadelphia, baby! Where they signed the Declaration of Independence, fitting for a dude like Jaden who loves his freedom! Jaden started as some nobody hoodrat kid that went around causing trouble while experimenting with music. You see, Jaden dreamed of becoming the next big thing in the rap game, and like hell, he was going to let that dream come to him. Nah, brah, seize the day, every opportunity Jaden was practicing making beats, or rapping out some lyrics. He was a young rapper that put his music where ever he could put it, even selling his CDs on the corner. Until he made it... an underground rap competition, and boy it was some stiff competition. He was up against veterans of the underground rap game and... he got demolished. Still, he made a huge impression on the people there, enough to attract the attention of a record deal.

It was incredible at the time... but he was still some nobody rapper. No matter how hard the nighty Jaden tried to shine, he just couldn't get the traction he desired (At best he got one of his songs in a fighting game). Which he thought was bullshit, super bullshit. Whenever Jaden checked the news, it was Nomad this, Nomad that and he... got a great idea. No matter how hard Jaden looked, he couldn't find anything about a Nomad Rapper (a buncha fuckboys were fighting with guitars, but that shit dumb). However, becoming a Nomad seemed harder than it sounded. He needed to find an excellent teacher... and that lead him to the land of the rising sun.

More specifically, Sensei Hirokazu. He was an old ninja master dude that was legendary... for his fucking greed. It took almost all of Jaden's money to get under his wing and boy it was some crazy shit. It sounded fun... but a lot of it was boring shit, like sitting around meditation in the woods, to the dojo, to the side of a mountain, and all that shit. He said it was for "discipline" but Jaden thought that he was bullshitting because he had all of Jaden's money. However, he didn't realize that it was all ki-building exercises and throughout the years he built up a huge ass supply of that ki stuff! And then the cool ninja training began and Jaden became the world's greatest rapper slash ninja (Mostly because he was the only one with a horse in that race).

However, Sensei Hirokazu, in the past, told Jaden about an artifact known as Murakumo. The Legendary Japanese blade that was used to defeat the legendarily powerful Oni clan but sealed away just in case it was needed again. Some fucknut named Jotaro stole the sword but Sensei Hirokazu knew that, while Jotaro was his rival, the blade was in safe hands.

Yeah, it was.

Jaden was sick and tired of sitting around in some ratty ass dojo in the middle of Japan, so he decided to snatch this ancient artifact from Jotaro's ninja clan. He first wondered why the fuck were there like five ninja clans in the middle of modern Japan. Then he found their super-secret ninja compound in the mountains (what Ninjas they were). Infiltrating his compound in the mountains was easy... but, he blew it at the last second, and revealed himself to Jotaro. He got viciously thrashed by the ninja master until he grabbed the legendary blade Murakumo for himself, and slashed Jotaro with it. The overwhelming power of the sword allowed Jaden to defeat Jotaro with one slash... only to lose himself to the sword. He went on a rampage, destroying the compound with the blade. After his rampage was cover, he managed to collect himself, and realize what he's done.

Jaden decided to fuck off out of Japan after that... and found out that Jotaro, in the ultimate bitch move, blamed Jaden for the stolen sword. So Jaden was hauling ass all over the world, being chased by various fuckwits and some little girl tryna shove her staff up his ass. This was what Jaden called his "world tour". He used these battles against the bounty hunters, assassins, and that weirdo with a stick to boost his popularity and then he preformed rap concerts (which were almost always crashed by the bounty hunters, except for like one time. Which was a very boring concert).

Then that was when Jaden decided to become a bounty hunter himself! He went around catching and cashing bounties... and fighting in cool ass tournaments. He was set to fight in the Brazilian Fighting Cup or whatever, for that cool ass power stone, which he was going to make a chain out of. Unfortunately that fucker Oh-One showed up. And unfortunately, he nabbed the Power Stone. And unfortunately that nut with the staff finally caught up with Jaden and she successfully shoved her staff up his asshole in what was probably the most painful experience of his young life. It felt like it was going to pop out through the top of his skull, that's how hard and swiftly she rammed it up his ass.

And she took Murakumo back to Japan.

Afterward... Jaden had to sit out a majority of the battle against Oh-One, however, he too joined the chase to get that power stone after realizing how fucking incompetent Jonas was. Like it wasn't rocket science getting a fucking pebble, so, to bring an end to this foolishness, Jaden joined the chase at the last second and fought Oh-One in Antarctica with the rest of them.

While the rest of the Nomadic Fist "retired" to Gold City (which he thought was fucking stupid), he went on a world tour. Rapping all over the world and fighting Nomads, putting in that work baby!

It ended in Gold City because reasons.

Jaden is the Ninja Superstar himself, baby! Ain't nobody on Earth can match his skill. To be specific, Jaden is a trained practitioner of Ninjutsu. He's supposed to be the master of stealth and mobility and all that shit and Jaden just throws all that nonsense out the window for some flashy, direct action. Jaden uses it to zip around the battlefield, doing hops, flips, and even teleporting! To put it simply; Jaden possesses a lot of high-mobility techniques that let him close in on opponents while having plenty of hard-hitting moves that take the enemy out quickly. Jaden fights with a mixture of hand-to-hand and his three trusty katanas to whoop some ass when necessary. Slashes, kicks, grabs, you name it. Probably his most famous technique is teleportation, baby! He can pretty much instantly teleport anywhere insight by doing his ninja pose and he uses this to link a lot of his attacks, dodges other attacks, and also cut n' run when shit gets too real for him. Expect him to teleport all over the place while beating you up.

Jaden's attacks, while fast and damaging, leave him open, as he's trying to use a fighting style that wasn't meant for upfront fights. If he misses, or an opponent blocks, they can capitalize on it and string him into a combo. Jaden is also very cocky, and the type to rush headfirst without thinking. Not exactly a thinker, but more of a doer.
