The Problem: Every now and then, there is what I'm going to call a 'rolling blackout' on the forum where a particular page within there just goes dark with the forum's background color. It does not seem to affect the entire forum, it just affect select destinations.

It has happened to me in a General Interest Check topic (specifically Warrior Cats RP) and in an Casual RP topic (Specifically Council of the Night)

After some time passes, it fixes itself. It took about an hour for the General Interest topic to fix itself and the Casual RP topic just started acting up while I was posting in it (about 15 minutes ago) and is currently still not fixed for me.
This has started happening within the last couple of days (maybe since the 3rd or around there?)

Attached is a screenshot of what it looks like when it happens:

I am using Google Chrome. I just tried it on Mozilla and get the same issue, so I think it's definitely a Forum Problem and not a personal connection or browser problem

PS - As I was about to post this, I checked on that Warrior Cats interest check again and it's back to being down, too.

Here's an interesting bit...

roleplayerguild.com/topics/182858-cou…
This works to get me on Page 5 (currently last page) of that RP.

roleplayerguild.com/topics/182858-cou…
This link is supposed to take me to Page 5 of the RP, directly to the last post. This one goes to the blank screen, despite the fact that I can reach Page 5 just fine on the other link.

Weirdness!

Edit: Now both links work, but they didn't before, I swear! lol. Like I said, the problem seems to be fluid and moves around the forum, later fixing itself with time, but I don't understand why it is happening.

@RedVII

I've only ever had a similar issue on Safari, but it isn't unique to RPG—it's corrected by closing the tab and opening the page on another tab. I suspect it's not a sitewide issue, but to test, can you ping me on Discord with a link to the affected page next time it happens to you? That might help me collect the data I need to see what's going on.

In addition, if you load up a copy of the page on a browser connected to your home internet and another on a phone using mobile data and they aren't both broken, it would imply that it's an issue with your system rather than the site.
