It's good advice and that woman does look kind of bad but all it does is say she's thin and has long legs.

There's a big difference between being thin with long legs, and practically emaciated. I'm not saying that it's not possible for a character to be that size, just that they would likely be in very poor health. Acrobatics or martial arts would be out of the question at that size, because those abilities require some sort of muscle mass, which a person with a bmi of ~15 simply would not have.

Caty is the same height as me, which I thought was kind of funny. I know the underweight/normal weight/overweight numbers for her off of the top of my head, haha. But I had to google for Petra. She's pretty average weight, and not diligent enough with her boxing to have much muscle, but what I put as her weight in the CS is post-mutation. I figure that, with the nature of her powers and their effects on her metabolism, they'd have to seriously affect the way she stores fat on her body.

Also, come to think of it, Cathy (or Samira, from what I can gather) really seems like the only one with the right temperament/disposition for leadership of the team. And maybe Waylon, but his PTSD issues would affect his ability to command in the field.

For the heights and weights for my characters, I went mostly with either the characters' stats from the Marvel Wiki or the actual actors. As for Black Widow, to give you an example, according to Google, Scarlet Johansson is 5'3 and 126 pounds. Though what concerned me more than her weight was her age -- she's been alive for nearly 24 years (1999) at the start of the story but she's only 21? I made it pretty clear that the story starts on July 4th, 2023, and so it kind of worries me that you may inadvertently create plotholes in the RP if you miss details like that just in your CS. I will admit, I am concerned.

As for leadership of the team, my plan was for Luke to eventually fill that role, but Caty seems like she would make a decent leader as well. I wasn't intending for Luke to come off as freaking out and needing Danny to calm him down, I was more just looking for a way to pull Danny into the scene to give Crim something to work with for his post, lol. At the end of my post, Luke did fall back and gasp at the pain in his eyes, but I never described him as freaking out or losing his cool. He's supposed to be the centered one out of my four characters, lol.

Still, it will be interesting to see how the plot develops :D.

I realize now though that I should have been a bit more detailed with Luke's portion:

On the other side of the park, Luke was still struggling to stand, his eyes burning. “Gah! What… What is this?” he grunted and tried to focus, but his vision felt strained. He stumbled through the crowd, accidentally running into Danny. “I’m sorry! Hey, you – you’re one of the guys that was trying to warn us, right?” he asked, squinting. Then he fell backwards, gasping out in pain as his eyes began to glow red.

I wasn't envisioning Luke panicking or freaking out, more like a single gasp as his eyes turned red for the first time. But that one's on me. I pulled Danny into the scene but didn't adequately detail what was going on with Luke, so I apologize for that. Is seems Danny is the one panicking, haha. I will course-correct that in my next post and will try and put more forethought into what kind of hot potato I am tossing to the other writers of the group.

Okay, I did a quick post just to course-correct the Luke thing. I didn't want to invalidate Danny's freak out and Caty's response, so I changed what I had in mind slightly to have Luke thrash on the ground a bit before he recovers. That way Danny's response still makes sense. I'll do a large post once Sincerely has done hers.

Also, I was planning to have David go into detail about what the Terrigen Crystals were and their nature, but I realize we're in a position where Danny and Caty might need to explain it first. Since they should be just as knowledgeable about the topic as well, I'll just explain them here so that Crim and Kindred can use that in their posts to explain it to the other characters if need be.

Project Terrigenesis arose from attempts to revive Project Rebirth from the 1940s. It is only one of several such programs being worked on by various companies with government funding. One way to translate that into in-story dialogue would be: "You remember the Super Soldier projects from the 1940s that everyone thought was just a hoax? Well, they were real and this mist is the culmination of decades of research and development. It has a high probability to spark genetic mutation, but the vast majority of such mutations are unstable and lead to total destruction of DNA. That's why it was never approved for human testing -- we just found out tonight that our mentor at Grayburn Labs went rogue and slipped a few crystallized chunks of the formula into the fireworks on that barge. The crystals reacted to the heat of the explosion, exhaling that blue mist, which carried the mutagenic properties of the formula into the crowd. Sorry if that's a lot to take in."

I picture Danny or Caty saying that portion in the yellow text, so it will probably sound a bit long winded since they are science geeks, lol. Feel free to reword it when translating it into Danny's or Caty's voice. Though they both may need to explain it to the characters near them.

@role model It's also in all our timestamps in the IC as well as the characters' sheets. All our birthyears and ages correspond to 2023.

I'm thinking about making an Iceman character. I don't know yet. I'm still very undecided and have to do some tweaking to my first post for the time changes and then do my second.

Haha, yay! Although it's not the same character, I was considering bringing in Sunfire/Shiro Yoshida at some point. Though, I haven't decided on that yet. And you can totally bring in Storm as well.

I've started on my CS for my Miss Marvel character, Caroline. I've gone ahead and put what I have for her so far in my characters post. My basic concept for her is that she is very powerful, but lacking in the maturity, martial arts experience, intelligence, etc. of the older members of the cast. I don't think that I'd want to introduce her until after the main group has had a couple of missions/public fights. She'll start trying to be a fairly traditional superhero-type. Because of her raw strength, she is way overconfident in her abilities, and a few solo victories will really cement that. I figure that she wouldn't join up with the team right away until a situation (probably getting her ass handed to her, and saved by the team) makes her realize that she can't do it alone.

Also, I thought that her parents could be the owners of Sammy's Hardware Store, through which she'd know Luke.

But anyway, that's just what I have for her for now. I figure that she'd make a couple of cameos, getting active in her hero-escapades as the team assembles, but only be properly introduced later.

@RenegadeRunaway Yeah, that's totally fine. You could do her early adventures in the same way I did the meeting of the evil scientists -- still important, but separate from the main team's point-of-view, other than the cameos in the same events. And yeah, she could totally know Luke, and maybe even have a little crush on him, hehe. That would be funny if he develops a crush on her when she gets older and then she's like "pfft I'm over you now buddy" LOL. That's just an idea that popped up in my head though, don't feel obligated to give it any real consideration.

This is exactly how Caty will feel about the beautiful badass women on the team. Like how can she not?
