“Good. Let us go—“ Adrian started to sign but quickly realized that Nessa couldn’t understand him. He sighed in frustration, then returned to his notebook. He needed to find Chance quick. The flower was in his possession, and it was more important to him than anything else.

Lead the way. He wrote in his notebook and showed it to Nessa.

An unknown amount of time later, Haki woke up feeling refreshed. Throughout his body was a tingling sensation as tiny sparks of magic jumped from his fur. When he opened his eyes, he saw Tatiana caressing his head and humming a light tune. He slowly sat up and looked around to see a small forest of plants that seemingly grew from nothing. The room still resembled the place before but now was completely covered in foliage. He couldn’t remember if he had caused this or anything after entering the room. The last thing he could remember was Tatiana and a strange voice.

“What happened?” Haki asked as he reached to stroke his head but stopped when he noted his arm. His fur was no longer pure black but now had strange white marks, that resembled waves, throughout his entire body. His claws were sharper. His eyes a bright green instead of a pale yellow. He felt like he was in a different body.

“Welcome back my child,” Tatiana said as she stood up from the ground, “come I shall explain as we walk.”

Haki was confused but kept quiet and followed Tatiana as they left the room. “I’m sure you are confused but it will reveal itself in due time. All you need to know is that you now possess a porting of the world tree. thus allowing you to bypass our ancient laws.”

Ancient laws? A part of the world tree? Haki could understand what she was saying, but before he could ask they stopped at a nearby room where he was allowed to change. He was given a green robe that left his right arm and portion of his chest opened. The fabric itself hummed with magic that wrapped around him like a barrier. After he changed, they returned to the previous room. Haki was told to stand at the center with Tatiana across form him.

“My child, do you truly wish to leave?” Tatiana said once again.

“Yes,” Haki said almost immediately.

Tatian smiled and nodded, though the pain and sadness were clear in her eyes. “I do not wish to force you to stay. All I can do is hope for your safety. But please promise me that you will stay safe. There are forces at play that even I cannot see. And even though you are allowed to let go of pacifism, it does not mean you are safe———”

“———it is time for you to go. But before that, make sure you take care of that boy. Chance, I believe was his name was. He is very special to you, which is why you saw him in the pond. You may deny it, but you have feelings for him, so make sure you don’t let the opportunity pass you by."

Haki could feel his face getting warm as Tatiana saw right through him. “What! I do not have feelings for Chance!”

Tatiana gave a small laugh and said, “as I said. even if you denied it. It is the truth. Now it is time.” Tatiana took a step back and let the world guide him through the veil. Thousands of small light emerged from the surrounding plants and began to surround Haki. They slowly pulled themself together and formed a small white flower. Through it, he could feel the other world. He could feel Chance. He took one last look at Tatiana before his vision was blinded by a flash of light.

The flower that was in the possession of Chance began to glow and radiate power. Then in a flash of light, a small black wolf with the same pattern as Haki’s fur replaced the flower. He tumbled around the pocked for a bit until he finally escaped and fell onto Chance’s lap. There wasn’t enough space for Haki to fully manifest so he took on another form, a baby wolf. To Chance, he was barely bigger than a pair of hands and could easily fit into a pocket.

“Chance I——“ Haki could feel tears running down his face as he looked at Chance. To his friends, he was only gone for a few days but to Haki, it had been months.

Nessa watched him sign before moving to write to her. She hesitated before giving him a gentle smile, I know a bit of sign too, don't worry. She signed back to him before she started to walk out of the crowd and behind a building. "The Channeling magic is rather... Well, Let's just say I don't want to do it around potential Poachers." She said before she stopped in the shadows and closed her eyes.

The runes down her arms danced with colour, flexing and twisting as if they were alive before the light moved up her arms, revealing more runes that were hidden in her skin; once the same tone as her skin but now were burning a hot white. The light moved up her neck and her freckles suddenly glistened like stars before a small diamond-shaped star appeared on her forehead before the lights pulsed three times and suddenly cut out.
While the runes were glowing, Nessa's body floated slightly above the ground, dust from her feet glistening light stars before the light disappeared, draining down her body the same was as it slid up it.

She shuddered as she reopened her eyes, her freckles glistened in the darkness ever so slightly, but she seemed back to normal.
"On the other side of town." She said with a frown, moving to offer her hand to Adrian, "Walking will be too slow." She moved to fan out her wings from their hiding place. They were the same colour as her skin, but had gold markinsg etching down like veins.

Chance's ears pricked up when he heard Haki's voice, but his hands were still bound and his head covered by the bag.
"Haki?!" He croaked, feeling his connection to the plant sever and the vine thrashed around on its own for a bit before disappearing back into a small seed wrapped in fabric. "Haki is that really you? Oh my god I...I'm so sorry, I should have given myself up! I should have let him heal you!"

He moved his body to press slightly into where Haki's voice was coming from, feeling only a puppy he hesitated. "This is a cruel trick isn't it." He stated as his voice went flat, "You bastards wanted to pacify me. And you're using the only friend I have to try and do it."

Haki's heart fluttered when Chance called him friends, but he quickly denied his feelings. There was no way that the Druid mother was correct. The more he thought about it the more conflicted he felt. In reality, he had only known Chance for a few days, so there was simply no way he had to devolve feelings. He quickly dismissed the thought and continued to tell himself that the Druid mother was wrong he what he felt was something else.

“Chance I can prove that is me but for now you just need to trust me. They’re coming and I can’t risk fighting them so please bear with it for now. The others are on their way,” Haki said as he wiped the tears from his eyes, though it was difficult being in that form. He then climbed his way back into Chance’s pocket to hide from the poachers.

“C-Chance I’m sorry I wasn’t here to protect you but now I promise that I will,” Haki said quietly with a hit of sadness in his voice.

Right after he got into the pocket, he heard the poachers speak but he couldn’t understand it. Was it because he was in another for? Or was it that his magic had changed? Then why could he understand chance?

Adrian was shocked that Nessa could sign. It wasn’t something many due because being mute is a sign of weakness. He then watched as Nessa started to glow. It was a mesmerizing sight that he had never seen before. It begs the question of her true identity. She said that she came to from the stars but how could that be possible? Her ability to use magic wasn’t anything he had seen and her unique biology was very strange and yet astonishing.

“You’re wings are beautiful. Though I’m not sure how well I can keep up with you with armor on,” Adrian signed as he slowly stripped himself of his armor. Now, all he wore was a shirt that did little to hide his tone body and pants that were tucked into his boots. at his side was still his sword and bag filled with provisions and other tools.

“Right lead the way,” Adrian signed then took Nessa's hand.

Nessa's face blushed slightly red before she smiled to him.
"I wouldn't think you'd need to keep up at all Mr. Adrian." Nessa spoke in a way that could be seen as slightly flirtatious before she pulled Adrian to her chest and suddenly took into the air.

She spun above the large group of people, briefly pressing her feet on a roof to boost both of them into the sky. She seemed oddly strong for her stature, but Nessa was easily described as 'odd'.
She lightly but quickly bounced through the city, as if they were both weightless. "We're close." She mumbled quietly.

"What the fuck was that. Vampires can't just do that." The leader spoke, stepping towards Chance and the cage before he leaned against the cage with a sneer. "Once we get out of the city I'm going to make sure you regret that." He hissed, before he noticed Haki crawl into his pocket.

"Oi, why have you got a puppy?" He sneered as he moved to open the cage before Chance felt the anger flood his body again.
"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY HAKI." Chance Snarled, moving forward to slam his head into the leader. The leader stumbled back, grabbing Chance's hood and pulled it off as he fell onto his ass into the dirt.
"Jesus fuck." The leader mumbled as he looked up to Chance, watching the boy slowly stand up, his arms still chained back and hooked onto the cage, keeping him in place.
Chance's ears were pricked back, his fangs bared and fae runes echoed down his arms angrily.

Haki couldn’t sense up from down or right from left as he rolled around inside the pocked. Once it stopped, he could feel his brain pounding against his head. He never had this much problem with motion in the past but now that his body had changed so did many things that he was used to in the past. it also didn't help that his eyes can now see between the veil causing him even more of headache.

“Wait CHANCE don’t! you might collapse again,” Haki said as he saw the waves of magic radiate through the air. He jumped out of the pocked and began to change his form. His body turned into a mist that expanded and engulfed the entire area. Slowly everything disappeared from view as if the mist had brought them to another place. The poachers were nowhere to be seen. The cage had disappeared along with Chance’s restraint. Now they were standing in an endless expanse surrounded by a thick fog.

“Chance I said I’ll prove it’s me,” Haki said appearing out of the mist in his normal form though his fur had changed to incorporate a wave-like pattern.

“I-I missed you,” Haki said as tears ran down his face but he quickly wiped them away. “You know I promised myself I wouldn’t cry?”

Adrian was startled when they suddenly flew through the air. He had seen the world from the sky many time but there was something breathtaking about this sight. Was it because he was being carried? He didn’t know but took a moment to take in the view before he felt chills run down his spine. Looking ahead, he could see a giant explosion of mist that surrounded a small portion of the city. He quickly signed Nessa to stop because he wasn’t sure If the mist was dangerous. It could continue the same substance that made him lose his power, which was something he cannot let happen to Nessa.

Chance flinched as the mist rolled in, he lifted his arms up to cover his face for a second before he realized he could move his arms. He lowered them as he heard Haki's voice. He opened his eyes and looked up towards Haki as he appeared out of the mist in front of him.
Chance couldn't stop himself from tearing up before he ran towards Haki and hugged his torso tightly as he mumbled stuff into his fur, he pulled himself away as he looked up towards Haki with tears down him face.

"Oh my god Haki! It's you, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. It's my fault." He said as he gripped his fingers into Haki's fur. His runes glistened before the light disappeared from them as he slowly calmed down, his ears were drooped back sadly as he stared up at Haki. He forgot about the Poachers for a second, he didn't care about them at all- He had Haki back, that's all that mattered.

Nessa landed carefully on a building away from the mist that suddenly appeared, her eyes narrowed as she held Adrian tightly against her body.
"That's where Chance is." She said with a frown, "Is that mist good or bad...?" She asked as she hopped down from the building, fanning her wings out to slow the fall of them as she landed on the ground below.

Ra popped his head out of her bag and shook his head as his ears pricked up slowly. "I can scout?" He asked, Nessa's tail moved around to press his head back into the bag, an easy sign of 'no.'

Haki smile and held Chance close. After so many sleepless nights wondering if he would ever see his friends again, now that it was actually happening, he didn’t know if it was real. But if it was real, then nothing in the world can take Chance away from him. “Chance please don’t blame your self. I'm back and everyone is safe so there's nothing for you to be sorry about," Haki said, “and now that I back I won't ever leave you again,”

Suddenly the winds began to pick up and the mist darken. He instinctive growled and tighten his grip on Chance. Something was interfering with his magic, and he suspected that it was the creature Tatiana spoke of. “Chance the mist won't hold much longer. I don’t know where we’ll end up but I’ll be right here,” Haki said then changed his form back into that of a small puppy and returned to Chance’s pocket.

He released his hold on the mist, causing it to disperse. Now they were no longer in the alley but the forest outside the city. Along with the poachers, there were also several men dressed in black cloaks waiting for them. The cage also returned, but Haki got rid of the restraint and took the liberty to show the poachers some visions where the events played out differently. Hopefully, it was convincing enough for them to not question Chance’s lack of restraint and the small puppy in his pocket.

Haki tumbled around the pocket for a second until he found the opening. he was starting to hate his small form but it was crucial to stay hidden. Letting out a short sigh, he placed a paw on Chance to speak directly into the mind, “Chance I’m sorry to ask this of you but I need you to go with their plans. There is something I must see but I promise I won't let any harm come to you.”

“No. I’ll go. Stay here.” Adrian signed. He broke free Nessa grasp and jumped off the roof of the building. He landed with a quiet thud before he drew his weapon and dashed towards the mist. He slowly made his way around the alley watching for any potential dangers. He continued to search the area until he ended up on the other side of the mist. There was nothing of interest here but surly Nessa’s magic wasn’t wrong. Could it be that whatever was here had move do to the mist? Not wanting to stick around, he returned to Nessa. He took longer than expected because getting back on the roof rather troublesome.

“Nessa I found nothing. Are you sure they were here?” Adrian signed.

Chance watched the mist dissipate after clinging onto Haki for a bit longer. He didn't want this to end anytime soon but he nodded as he said he had to change forms again. He readied himself for when the Mist disappeared, before he looked around at the poachers and the men in hoods.
"I immediately don't like this..." He uttered as his ears drooped, he kept his arms down as not to pose a thread, but he just watched the men around him.

The Poachers looked at Chance in fear, a few of them stepped back before running away, but the leader stayed put, his top still torn and a visible glare of anger pointed towards Chance.
"I promised yas a fucking Fae." He growled angrily, "Now here he is."
Chance looked around to those staring at him, he didn't like to be stared at like this, but there was no way for him to escape without hurting himself or Haki. But Haki said to listen, and as much as he didn't want to, he would.

Nessa frowned when Adrian said he couldn't find them.
"The Stars don'r lie." She uttered before she looked into the sky, closing her eyes as her freckles glistened again.
"The stars wouldn't lie." She whispered to herself as her magic built up and bubbled angrily before she moved to sit on the roof.

"I can try again. I still have Charged magic. It won't take too long." She said, she seemed panicked and frantic for a moment. The Stars never did this to her, was her magic being sapped? Did the stars not wish to use her as their seer any longer?
She never went against the code, she didn't break the bond to the stars, and she still had Ra with her. Why didn't it work?

“Very well here is your payment,” A hooded figure said, then handed the poachers a bag of coin. Once the payment was done, the hooded men draped a large cloth over the cage blocking their sight. Then something large started moving the cage a short distance before setting it down with a loud thud. However they were not alone, Haki could sense several more Fae, around 5, probably in the same situation as they were.

“Chance how are you feeling? You’re not hurt or anything right?” Haki asked. Now that they were out of sight, Haki left his hiding place and fell onto the wooden floor of the cage. He stumbled aground for a moment before giving up and sat down instead of standing. He was having trouble working four legs instead of two, which made moving a hassle, not to mention the lack of hands.

“How am I supposed to work four legs. This harder than I imagined,” Haki complained. It was the second time he ever used transformation magic since he awakened as a druid. Before it wasn’t as simple as thinking of an animal and changing. It used to be extremely painful, having every bone in his body be snaped and morphed into a new shape. Due to the pain, he avoided using but his now body was different. It was more malleable, stronger, and was composed mostly of magic instead of matter.

"Chance I'm sorry I got you wrapped up in this. We should've just ran. If you rather leave I can do that." Haki said.

Adrian placed a hand on Nessa's shoulder then signed, “It’s not your fault. That mist is not normal. Something is blocking magic and it could be interfering with yours. For now, we can search for them the normal way. I can get my people searching within the city while we look in the forest.”

Adrian pulled out a small piece of paper and wrote a message for the guild before lighting it on fire. The paper lit ablaze with green fire before disappearing. It was a special form of paper, made by the guild, that allowed for long-distance communication. “You can try using your magic later. once we're further away from the mist." He signed.

The Poachers took the money and headed off on their own way; mumbling amongst themselves about what they had seen.
Chance flinched when the sheet was tossed over the cage, he looked around as he tried to keep himself calm. He needed not to panic as he knew his powers could malfunction.
"I'm fine. Totally not freaking out." He started, trying his bet not to be snappy towards Haki, his ears pricked up as he listened to Haki complain before he moved to sit on the cage floor.

"Don't be sorry." He said as he lifted up Haki in his little form, looking him over with a small smile. "I'm just happy I'm here with you. We'll get out of this."
He flicked his ears a bit as he heard things being spoken. His eyes narrowed before he stood up, placing Haki on the ground before heading over to the edge of the cage and pressed his ear to the cloth.

"There are Fae." He said, narrowing his eyes. "They're Praying." He could hear gentle mutterings of prayers to the Fae Spirits, he recognized many of the names before he frowned slightly.
"We have to help them." He said, his voice suddenly turning serious. He moved back to the middle of the cage and sat down before crossing his legs.
"By the powers of the Fae Spirits that look over me; bless me with the power to break the chains and cages of my people. As a Fae-" He was cut off by the sound of footsteps.

Nessa blinked towards Adrians' words and touch, her face flushed slightly before she nodded slightly.
"That sounds good." She said before she moved to step around Adrian and wrapped her arms around his waist again. "We'll head towards the forest, Yes?" She asked with a small tilt of her head.

Haki’s tail began wagging when Chance picked up him. It was strange to so easily picked up and yet he didn’t mind it. But he quietly whimpered when Chance set him back down. He wanted to be held a little longer since their reunion was cut short. but not wanting to bother Chance, he began distracting himself by trying to get used to his new form. After many tries, he finally managed to walk properly so he made his way onto chance’s lap and stared up at him while he prayed.

“Yes, I agree. They will not be turned into the thralls of these people——” Haki quieted himself when he heard footsteps. He placed a paw on Chance's arm and began channeling power. The magic that was imbued into his robes still protected him even though he wasn’t wearing them. So after a short channel, he was able to grant the same form of protection to Chance at the loss of its strength.

“Chance I cannot understand anyone other than you in this form so I will need you to translate for me. I can talk to you telepathically as long as I am touching your skin so we don’t have to worry about being heard,” Haki said.

Adrian flinched when Nessa suddenly wrapped her arm around his waist. He nodded then took a glance at the mist before they left. There was something familiar about the mist and yet it was had an ominous presence. Strange, he thought.

Once they made it out of the city, the griffins joined them. He was surprised to see them since Haki was gone but he realize that they weren’t summoned but tamed. He then realized how much he missed his friend. From the little information on the fairy realm he could find, he knew that time flowed differently there. So much more time may have past for Haki compare to them. It was worrying because Haki had separation anxiety for the longest time and he feared that something bad would happen. `

Chances ears flicked back almost angrily as his prayers were interrupted by the footsteps, before he looked down to Haki with a small nod.
"As long as it doesn't drain too much power." He said carefully before he moved to stand up slowly, holding Haki gently in his arm. "Who's there! What do you want?!"

The footsteps stopped before a figure could be seen on the other side of the cloth. The silence echoed over the mumbled whispers of the Fae around them.
"I wasn't told you'd be feisty." A males voice echoed from the shadow, "But that's okay, we'll break your spirit when we get to you. We've done it before."
Chance let out a growl as he listened, "Break my Spirit?!" He asked with a snarl, a laugh echoed form the shadow.

Nessa let Adrian go as they landed, she moved over to one of the Griffons and gently ran her hands against their feathers. "My friends we need your help." She whispered to Diana, moving to offer up the beanie that Chance was wearing. "Chance had Haki's flower with him. If we find Chance, we'll find Haki."

Ra popped his head out of Nessa's bag and leapt out to walk over to Adrian and moved to carefully climb back up onto his shoulder. He gently pressed his head to the man with a small humming purr.
"We will not stop until we find Haki." He said quietly to Adrian alone, "Please do not stress too much, it is not healthy for your cells."

Haki let out a low growl when Chance mentioned something about breaking his spirit. He suddenly felt protective over Chance and resisted the urge to pounce on the man talking. He knew there were others around and his action would only endanger not only Chance but the other Fae as well. “Chance doesn’t fall for his taunts,” Haki said, “I won’t let them do anything to you.”

Suddenly, their cage was picked up once again. This time they were moved into what smelled like a cave. After a short bit of walking, the cage door was opened and a pair of large hands grabbed Chance and pulled him out. He was then thrown into a prison cell alongside the other Fae. Outside bars was a large cave with several more prison carved into the wall, all filled with people. The person that grabbed them was a large bull Beastmen who snarl them before disappearing further into the cave.

“Hello there. My name is Lillian. Are you okay? Not hurt anywhere are you?” a tall girl with long blond hair and point ears asked Chance. Judging by her appearance she was barely 17 maybe 18. Looking around the cage, all of the captured Fae were children.

Adrian scratched Ra behind the ear and smiled. He needed someone to tell him that. “Right, I’ll take Diana and search towards the east. If I find anything the griffin will let you know and vice versa,” Adrian signed.

He returned Ra to Nessa before mounting on Diana. Before he took off, he waved to Nessa and smiled. Once in the air, he quickly headed in his intended direction until he found something. A little ways away from their location was a group of poachers. They seem to be part of the same group as the one that attacked him. Like instinct, Adrian was about to jump off Diana when she stopped him. He was suddenly reminded that he didn’t have his magic anymore. Shit, he thought. It was going to much harder to engage them now that he was powerless.

Chance stumbled as the cage was lifted again. He felt the world shake as the cage swayed, before he was grabbed- Just out of reach for him to bite the large hand- before he was tossed into the prison.
When tossed, Chance moved to make sure Haki couldn't be harmed as he bounced off the floor and into the wall. He let out a whine before he slowly stood up.

A voice brought his attention away, slowly looking over to Lillian.
"Chance." He said, looking around at all of the Child Fae as his eyes narrowed, "Chance Black." He wasn't sure why he spoke his fake last name, it always felt... Bad to lie about it.
He was around his own kind now, surely they wouldn't turn on him if he told them... Right?
"They're all... children. Chance spoke, biting his tongue as he wanted to scream and shout loudly. "I heard some of you praying to the spirits?"

Nessa took Ra back before giving a small nod. She climbed up onto Atari as Adrian climbed onto Diana and flew off.
"No rush my friend," She started to the Griffon, readying herself. "Off to the west!" She called out as they headed into the air.

After a moment of silence, Atari slowly pulled back and started to turn.
"Oh! This way friend?" She asked as they started to head off towards the East, the flying beast slowly speeding up. Nessa slowly placed Ra on Atari's back before she moved to stand up, balancing her weight against the beasts shoulder blades.
Her eyes narrowed as they got closer to where Adrian was, she could sense Adrian being near- which startled her slightly. Why was she suddenly linked to Adrian like this?

“That’s a strange thing to say aren’t you a child too?” Lillian said with a smile. “And yes most of us are children all taken from villages in the area. About once every few months, these people come and take us. For what? none of us know. We’re just trying our best to survive.”

Suddenly Lillia was tackled by several small children who all clung onto her leg. "Don't worry there's nothing to be worried about. I'm here to protect you. I don't let the scary man hurt you."

Haki felt chills run down his spine as several of the children ran over and surround Chance. “Mr is that your puppy? He’s so cute! Can I hold him? Does he have a name? OH, HE SO SMALL AND CUTE!” all of the children started bombarding chance with questions. Haki lowered his ears and sink further into Chance’s arm. As much as he cared for the children, he knew he would be torn apart if they got their hands on him.

“Chance as much as I hate to leave them, I think we should escape and look around. I can probably bend the bars enough for us to slip through. I also ask you to not give me to them. I don’t think I’ll survive,” Haki said while looking up at Chance.

Adrian followed the movement of the poachers on the ground until Nessa joined him. It gave him some relief that he had Nessa. His inability to use magic had weight him down severely so having someone at his side was nice. “I’ll make a distraction then we can go in,” Adrian signed then pointed to the group of poachers in the forest.

Adrian reached into his bag and pulled out a hand full of small runes. They were not meant to be used as weapons since they would only make a loud sound on impact. They were useful only as a distraction which is exactly what he needed. Once he was in position, he dropped a hand full of those runes on top of the poaches then dove down with Diana. He made sure to stay above the runes and once the explosions went off he landed on a frightened poacher pinning him into the ground.

Chance paused as Lillian asked about his age, he looked to the ground before he breathed in. "I am not a child." He started, but he didn't elaborate as he was backed up to the wall as the kids surrounded him. The shadows around him coiled up a little bit before he shook his head. [color=7F0A49]"I'd rather not have you touch him."[/i] He felt his ears droop down as he hugged Haki tighter.

"We have to help them." He whispered to Haki, he felt like it would seem out of character for him to care about others like this. "We have to at least find out what they're doing to my people." He started, he looked back to Lillian.
"Have they... tried to do anything?" He asked with a worried tone in his voice. "Have you tried to contact the... council? Have they tried to contact you back?"

Chance felt his runes slowly flicker to light, this time they glowed a gentle pink, coiling down slowly his arms.
His runes were rather different to most Fae, most looking at them wouldn't be able to make out most of them; but there were glowing crown-shaped markings on the back of his hands.

Nessa nodded towards Adrian as he signed about his plan. She had jumped off of Atari as she fanned her wings out with Ra over her shoulders.
She followed after the Poachers and hid up the trees as Adrian dropped his runes. Her ears flexed before she leapt out of the tree and pinned the leader down quickly.
"Howdy." She hissed, "Our friend, where is he?"
"Jesus Christ!" The leader started, struggling under Nessa's weight. "What the fuck are you? BOYS!" He called out to the other poachers.

Nessa moved quickly, pushing her weight on the Leaders chest before she flicked small stars towards the remaining free Poachers. The stars hit their heads before bursting into dust, and the other Poachers collapsed onto the ground asleep.
"As I said," Nessa huffed. "Where. Is. Chance." Her hair started to streak a soft red, parts of her scales slowly twisting from blue to red as she heated up in anger.

“You think the council cares about small villages like us? They do what benefits them not their people. We have nothing to give so to them i doubt we don’t even exist. With their recent expansion and the ongoing conflict with the humans and dwarves, I doubt they even care about their people anymore. And trust me we’ve tried contacting them. We never get a response. All we can do is accept our fate,” Lilia said as she conversed the children away from Chance.

“Chance let’s go. They might be back and if we’re not here they might hurt the children so time is of the essence,” Haki said. He wiggled his way out of Chance’s grasp and clumsily trotted to the bars. He could fit between them easily but Chance couldn’t. After checking that the coast is clear, Haki placed his paws on the bar and pride them apart like they were nothing more than twigs. On his way back to Chance, he could see the fear in the children's eyes. It bothered him that they looked at him that way but these were trying time. “I’m ready when you are,” Haki said.

Adrian didn’t get the chance to react before Nessa took out most of the poachers. He was once again impressed at Nessa's combat abilities. He was also surprised if these poachers were the one that took down Chance. They seem so incompetent while Chance had his strange magic and some ounce of cunning. Either way, this would prove to be very useful if these were the right men.

After checking if the coast was clear, he turned and swatted next to the poacher. He pulled out his notebook and showed the poacher a drawing of chance that Haki drew. He pointed to the picture then turned the page to write “where is he? I can make this painful”.

Chance felt his chest rise and fall in anger as he looked to Lillian. "Of course." He huffed angrily to himself, "Of course the bloody council is already falling to pieces. Iella would be disgusted."
Chance hoped that the young ones would know Iella's name, she was one of the Fae who helped run the council before the... Accident.

At the sound of Haki's voice, Chance turned away before he moved to follow after them. "I promise I'll come back for you. If the Council won't help you, I will."
He turned back towards Haki and slipped out of the bars before he looked around, he hesitated and focused his energy into a small seed before he flicked it into the cage.

The seed landed on the ground and quickly bloomed into a bush in the shape of a sleeping figure rolled to face the wall. Chance looked back towards Haki; his face held worry and a hint of sadness. "I... Haven't been fully truthful with you." He uttered under his breath.

The leader stared up at Nessa before looking to Adrian.
"I... Uh..." He started before he felt Nessa's foot gain weight on his chest. "W...We sold him! There was some sort of bounty out for any Fae captured."

Nessa sneered, more of her hair twisted more red. Her scales flickered more red. The edges of her foot starting to smoke against the leaders shirt, he squirmed under her weight.
"Oh fuck! Burning ow ow!"

“Iella…” Lillian said with a smile. She watched as the two strangers left through the hole in the bars that returned to its normal position after they left. She knew that escaping wasn’t an option since she had no special ability. She needed to care for the children and leaving would mean their death. “Come everyone I’ll tell you a story. It’s about a woman who changed the world."

“Chance when did you learn such magic? I mean I’m impressed but people don’t learn magic that quickly…” Haki asked. It only added to his admiration towards chance but he was slightly concerned. Did something happen while he was gone for Chance’s magic to change this quickly? He will have to test some theories later. “I can show us how to get to the main chamber,” Haki said then began to give directions.

“…how so?” Haki had a few ideas about what Chance could be talking about but he decided to play ignorance. He didn’t understand it but somehow he could see all the possible futures for Chance. His precognition had changed from seeing the present to seeing all the future relating to one person. But why was it Chance? What does fate have in store for the haft vampire? And what did he had to with it?

Adrian grinned and let Nessa have her ways with the poachers for a few minutes before stopping her. He placed a hand on her shoulder and immediately pulled it back. Her body was extremely hot and he could see tiny burns bark on his palm. He then waves his hand in front of Nessa to get her attention then signed, “we need to go. He might be moved soon. I have an idea where he might be.”

The guild told him of several locations where the poachers might be hiding. It was likely that Chance would be at one of these locations. The nearest one was a cave that ran deep into the large cave system under the city. He left Nessa to finish off the poachers while he mounted Diana. once Nessa was done and ready, he flew off in the direction of the cave.

Chance hesitated before he answered Haki.
"I..." He started, hesitating on speaking even more. "Don't know. I was knocked out when you were captured, I think I went back to the Fae Realm." He continued as they walked along.
Chance kept his ears up as he focused on footsteps echoing around. "As for things I haven't told you-" He hesitated before he moved to grab Haki up off the ground and shifted to stand against the shadows.

The Hulking Bullman walked past them, his steps echoing through Chances body as he watched them leave. He waited for a moment, waiting for about three minutes once the creature was out of his eye sight before he continued to walk.
"I'm not... Just a normal Fae." Chance sighed, his ears drooping back.

As soon as Nessa felt Adrian touch her skin she flinched away from him. She looked to him and noticed the burn marks on his hands before her skin suddenly warped back to blue.
"I'm sorry! Oh god I'm so sorry!" She started as the air around her cooled down, she looked to the Poachers with a sneer and moved down to grab the bag of the leader and tucked it into hers.
"H..Hey! That's my pay!" He grumbled loudly as Nessa turned to face him with a glare, causing him to flinch back and lower his head.

Nessa grouped the rest of the poachers all near a tree as they started to wake from whatever she had done to them.
When Adrian took off she moved to put Ra on Atari and motioned for her to follow after Diana, "I'll fly for a bit." She spoke before she fanned her wings and pushed herself into the air. She spun for a moment before she got closer and closer to Diana and Adrian.
She fanned her wings out to glide alongside the Griffon and her rider, watching the ground quietly.
