Biography

Samira has spent more time traveling the world than most people ever get the opportunity to do. Her father is one of Wakanda's diplomats. In the back of her memories she remembers running around their apartment as a child. Or rather, tumbling her way through the apartment. Her father recognized her energy and interest and enrolled her in gymnastics when she was 3. The more she learned, the more she brought home with her. He didn't even bother telling Samira to stop jumping off the couch anymore. The little girl would simply insist that she was practicing.

She moved out of Wakanda shortly after that, when her father got his first assignment. Living in Washington, D.C. was an adjustment for her. She had to learn an entirely new language and basically start her life over. Her dad tried to make the transition as smooth as possible. He found her a gymnastics coach and enrolled her in the best private schools. This rotation continued on throughout her life every couple of years. After D.C. they spent time in Beijing, Moscow, then Paris. Moving so often allowed her to become fluent in multiple languages.

In high school Samira hit a growth spurt. Suddenly the short, skinny girl was tall and lanky. With the extra inches she found it far more difficult to maintain her center of gravity in a back hand spring and switched from gymnastics to fencing and dance. Academically, she never had any problems in school. Her costly education providing just another advantage to the young woman. But she worked hard. Whenever she had spare time she would spend it with her father, Enitan, in his office. He would quiz her on current events and her possible solutions to put practical use to the political classes she took in school.

Enitan and Samira were joined at the hip. A father-daughter duo that exhibited poise, generosity, and warmth wherever they went. Samira was always grateful to have her dad around because he was the only family she had. An only child and a mother who abandoned her as a baby, she cherished each second she had with her father.

Biography

Cam's life has been unwaveringly normal. He grew up with a mom and dad, two older brothers, and a dog. Everyone in his neighborhood on Long Island lived identical lives. His father, William, worked as an accountant in the city. His mother, Madeline, worked as a teacher a few towns over in Hauppauge. Even with them raising three boys, their lives were comfortable.

As the youngest of the three, Cam found it easy to get what whatever he wanted from his parents. Those were the perks of being the baby. But, he was always chasing the respect of his brothers. So he did everything they did. When they tried lacrosse, so did he. When they would spend all their time playing 2K on the PS4, so did he. It wasn't until middle school that Cam started to branch out and become his own person. He became more outspoken. Not nasty, or disagreeable, just honest. One could always tell how he was feeling. Eventually his family would come to rely on him whenever they needed someone with brutal honesty.

Around this same time Cam started to take lacrosse seriously. As a kid, it was just something he did to follow his brothers, Antonio and Giovanni. Then he hit a growth spurt. His coach started to take more interest in him and show that there was a future available for Cam if he wanted it. By then, Ant and Gio had quit the sport already. So Cam took the opportunity to shine. And shine he did.

High school was the only time he really found himself struggling. Honest, athletic, charming, and good-looking, Cam easily became one of the most popular kids in high school. Everyone wanted to be friends with the kid who made varsity his freshman year. But social media can be a real bitch. While away in Vermont on vacation, Cam had a friend, Jonathan, that he would only see when they would go to Vermont. Their families rented neighboring cabins, and they were around the same age so the boys hit it off. Every year they would look forward to spending time together. One night of stolen whiskey and stolen kisses and suddenly Cam had a lot more reasons to want to vacation in Vermont. It worked out perfectly too!
