Personality:
Kaito is a well-spoken and well-mannered young man. He's polite, sociable and eager to learn about others, but without his boyfriend around he lacks self-confidence. He's also a worrier, constantly concerned about the wellbeing of his friends and family. It's both due to being caring, as well as being much too attached to those around him. Kaito doesn't want to let go of the people he trusts, which manifests into being clingy. He's also very goal-oriented; once Kaito sets his mind on something, he'll want to see it through to the bitter end.

History:
Kaito loved dressing up in his older sister's clothes growing up, putting them on in secret to admire himself in a mirror. His sister actually caught him a few times, but she kept it hidden from their parents. She found him adorable when he was dressed up like a girl, so she was the one who taught him all about how to look pretty. It actually lead to a pretty big fight with their parents years down the line, once he decided to tell them. Because they took it so poorly, Kaito got discouraged from ever trying to go out in public while dressed up. His sister tried to encourage him, but to Kaito it just felt like she was the only one in the world that thought that way.

That is, until Kaito met his boyfriend in highschool. A lot of things happened between the two of them, some stories too embarrassing for either of them to ever share. They got along super well straight away, and by the end of their first year Kaito realised he had feelings for his classmate. Turns out that was mutual, as the other boy confessed first, but even as Kaito accepted his feelings, he felt ashamed for falling in love with another man. Still, after school they often promised to hang out in secret from their parents. One day, Kaito invited his boyfriend over to their house, under the pretense of studying. His actual objective was to dress up, show off a side he himself thought weird. When he got called cute for it, his heart fluttered. Because of his boyfriend, Kaito slowly built up confidence in himself again. He didn't need his parents approval anymore. The two of them decided to go to Tokyo for a date, and while Kaito had slowly tried getting used to going out dressed like he is by going to less crowded places, today was the first time he did so in Japan's metropolis. Tokyo was reasonably far from where they lived, so the both of them booked rooms in a hotel so they could spend the whole next day together. Of course, those plans would have to be put on the backburner...

Above all else, Matsuo is insatiably curious. When something has grabbed her attention, she follows that curiosity with a single minded focus that is almost scary. To the outside observer, when Matsuo follows one of these obsessions down their path, she seems to almost become completely emotionless, running on cold logic. This, of course, isn't the case at all. Matsuo is actually quite excited to follow these intellectual pursuits. She simply finds it easier to follow them by outwardly operating like a computer.

When not stimulated like this, Matsuo shifts the complete other way, and tends to be more aloof. Very much an introvert, Matsuo will generally do her best to avoid conversation, preferring to exist in her own little world. When forced to come out of this shell, she can either be quite shy and quiet, or annoyed and bitter, depending on who's speaking and what inner thoughts she's been pulled from.

History:
Once upon a time, Matsuo was dangerously at risk of becoming a NEET. She never seemed to have many friends in school. Her test scores, while arguably good, were never the best. She would often slack off in school, never quite fully paying attention. After a while, most teachers, and even her parents had all but written her off as a lost cause. She would spend all her free time reading or listening to music on her bed.

Fortunately for her, one of her teachers in high school had one last card to play. In a last ditch attempt to get Matsuo interested in something, anything, she introduced her to the world of computer programming. To everyone's relief, Matsuo included, she took to coding like a fish takes to water. Suddenly Matsuo came to life, finding and learning every bit about programming she possibly could. Her test scores went up. she started spending more time with people. In particular, Matsuo began to spend time with one Akira Kamekura. Despite Akira's fame, Matsuo never particularly gave a shit about it. For whatever reason though, that lack of attention seemed to draw him to her. Not quite understanding it, it caught her interest, and she began to tolerate his presence, eventually becoming friends of a sort.

Matsuo is currently a university student in a highly successful coding program, and is now far more engaged in the world around her. Though she still spends much of her time on the computer, she is no longer afraid to engage with the people in her life.
