Blair shrugged. " Can I at least request a blanket. It's quite cold." She half-joked with the guard as she shrugged, hinting at the fact she knew they were going to be there for a while. She turned around as she shrugged looking at the girl on the table. " I never said that's the reason I'm here. Also, you speak as if you do know how to work with a group yet you fail to remember how to actually communicate like a human. You know, how to function in a normal society. " She sat back down in her seat. "Looks like your also going to have to learn a few things. Huh? "

Blake had thought that he had lost the dark-haired girl's interest once again when she directed her attention to Blair. The two had another hostile exchange, and he was not expecting the former to address him right after. He wondered what was going on in her mind. He could not determine her feelings and intentions from what she was saying, because she seemed to be everywhere. Was she even aware of how she currently sounded, or was she trying to confuse them? He took a sip from his glass before looking at her with genuine curiosity.

"Where do you stand, exactly? I remember you just implying that you didn't want us in your way."

He then shrugged when he heard Blair comment on what he had to say in response to the other girl. He was unsure if she knew what a fit actually looked like. Sarcasm was not apparent in his demeanor or tone, though, it was in his words when he said what he did next.

"Scared? Maybe it's because I'm the most human out of all of us. Most I've heard while being here is the pair of you trying to be tough with each other, but hey, I'm the child here, right?"

He hid a smirk of amusement as he watched her put on that whole show of wanting to leave, only to be sent back to her seat by the guard. She was right about one thing though. The other girl did not seem like she was prepared to work together with them. He was sure that she had an answer to that, and he would be content just letting them resume going at each other. That is, if he did not find himself in the line of fire again.

"Haven't you hear?" Roxy asked sarcastically. "We're not human anymore. Most people would say being criminals means we were never really human to begin with. After all only animals live in cages." She admitted that she knew nothing about normal society. She had never had a place in it. She doubted that anyone in their situation had. After all normal people didn't break the law. At least not to the extent they did. "Your right. I have no I did how to work with a group. Unlike you I've never done it. You should know how and yet you suck at it." She finished her steak and picked up another. She might as well eat while she had the chance.

"You haven't earned any privileges." the guard replied.

"In other words toughen up. I would think someone with your reputation would be tough enough to handle a little cold." Roxy remarked. She was curious how the other girl would react to her know about her past. Having someone with a reputation wasn't ideal but there were ways Vlad could get around that if they were ever revealed to the public. She turned her attention to the boy again. "I figured I might as well make my intent clear. I have a goal. I will do whatever I have to do to accomplish that. I don't care what that takes."

The girl raised an eyebrow at her response, but couldn't really argue with it based on the fact that she knew she wasn't wrong. "Two Shay."

She raised an eyebrow sitting up, "Who said I ever worked in a group?" She tilted her head listening to the last part and laughed. "Wow, you really only know stuff from the rumors you've heard? I know there were a lot of them. Why else would a lot of criminals be scared of a 14-year-old, well I'm 16 now." She laughed shrugging looking at Blake and laughed. With a hint of sarcasm in her voice, " You've had it easier than us. That's one thing for sure. Might want to cover up your virgin ears because I think she wants to shout out the sh*t I've done that landed me in jail."

She wasn't expecting that the girl had known exactly who she was, but it doesn't matter. Based on her behavior here she could tell it wasn't going to mean much. She turned to her twisting her head smiling still.

"Who said a badass had to be heartless. I like to be cozy sometimes too, but go ahead and spill the tea. This would be so much better with hot chocolate and a bowl of popcorn. " She leaned back in her seat watching her.

Blake was once again, rather amused when both the guard and the dark-haired girl responded to Blair's comment about a blanket in a serious matter. Miss 'Do not get in my way' attempted to elaborate on what she meant, but he could not help but feel that something was off about everything else she was saying. Shaming someone else for having no teamwork skills while admitting that one is also the same was sort of asking for it. When Blair addressed him again, he nodded with a contemplative smile.

"You're probably right. Thanks for the advice, that is quite sweet of you, but I can't be protected forever. It's better for me to learn more about the two of you here and now, than at some place and time that's less... convenient. After all, as pointed out several times already, we're going to have to work together."

Blake put his glass down as the girls resumed their argument. There they go again... He was certain that this animosity was going to continue throughout their training and eventually, the missions they would be assigned. It was not as if either of them seemed to have a soft spot for him for that matter, but the two were clearly rivals. He glanced over to one of the guards, shooting a nonverbal signal that nothing good was going to come out of letting this continue any longer.

Roxy chuckled. "No one said any thing about you. I just know that you belonged to one of the biggest gangs in Chicago." Mostly because she had grown up in a gang in Chicago. People had talked about Blake. She had become the favorite of one of the gang leaders. Probably because there were few people who could kill at such a young age. It was almost impressive. Almost was the key word. Killing was easy for some people.

"I'm not going to say anything. It's not my job to convict you the government already did that." Roxy answered. She didn't see Blair as a threat. The younger woman was just a child throwing a fit or looking for attention. She wasn't sure which it was yet. She wasn't sure that it mattered. It was going to complicate things. She had to figure how to deal with that.

"If you're not going to eat be quiet until the others are done." The guard growl. It wasn't his job to make them cooperate. His job was to keep them from killing each other and escaping.

She shrugged. "The funny thing about the government doesn't know half of the stuff I had to do?" She shrugged eyeing her, her smile not as wide. "Glad you know that, was wondering if you heard anything else about me. I know there is a lot of rumors, though I can't say which ones are true and which ones are false if I don't know them"

She looked at Blake smiling. "I'm glad. "

She then lifted her sleeve revealing the girl's tattoo of the gang symbol. "You're right. "She stuttered raising an eyebrow at her. "But for you to know that you are from a gang too, or got somewhat involved?" She studied her. "Or born into it and protected by her daddy. Got some mommy issues? Did she get aids sleeping with too many men? " She joked with her laughing. It was clearly something the girl didn't want to talk about, so it made it so much easier to poke holes at it. She didn't care to know the girl, but she still had to admit she was kind of interesting in away.

She half rolled her eyes at the guard. "Isn't the point of this to get to know each other? But sure whatever you say. " She bit the edge of her lip eyeing the other too.

"Alright let's head down to the testing ground." The guard said when they all stopped eating. He figured now was as good of time for them to movd on. Maybe having a goal would get them to stop this pointless conversation. Their pasts weren't important. They had little impact with their future.

Blair looked at Roxy and shrugged. "Saved by the bell huh?" She then turned around from her, pushing in her chair and began walking towards the guards to be escorted to the next place not looking at the other two, and not showing a wince of fear.

Blake smiled back at Blair as he helped himself to a disposable napkin from its box. Listening to the two attempt to intimidate and provoke each other had been entertaining for awhile, and though that was beginning to wear off, he appreciated that he could continue to take in the information that they were getting out of each other. When the guard spoke up again, and then eventually announced that they were leaving, the boy let out a short hiss of amusement, figuring that the man must have finally had enough of this back-and-forth. He watched Blair leave before proceeding to do so himself. Having witness the strong fronts that the two were trying to put up the entire time, together with what had been said, he would say that he had a rough idea of what they had been through. Constantly having to be like that must be tiring, but what did he know? He was only here because of a single mistake, after all.

Maze:
The guard lead them down the hall. Roxy paid attention to the area. She study each door and where the cameras were. She had no plans to escape but there was no telling when the information would be useful. She also watch the other two. She was curious how they would react to this new area. Not that it was that exciting. It was a hall with a lot of closed doors, but it was more than they had seen before.

Eventually they reached the end of the hall. The guard typed a code into the keypad and the door slide open. "Your first test." He indicated for them to go inside. Roxy rolled her eyes. This was pointless. There was no way they were going to work together. Blair was too arrogant and Roxy doubted the boy was capable of being help in anyway.

"Grand." Blair stepped into the maze willingly. Hopefully, they all got lost from each other, but she knew that wasn't possible. She could already smell their scent enough to trace it down the hall, and most likely steps through a maze. God being an animal and being with others really did suck when you wanted to spiral away from them.

No more was said as the three were brought down the hallway. Not finding anything of interest just yet, Blake glanced at the other two, at one point meeting the gaze of the dark-haired girl. He quickly looked away as they came to a stop at the end of the hallway, and the sliding door there was opened to reveal what seemed like the start of a maze. The guard only mentioned that it was their first test, and Blake stared at him for a moment longer, wondering if he was going to give them any more details. Were they just supposed to get to the other side? Was there something that they were supposed to find? If nothing more was to be said, he would simply shrug and enter with the other two.

Blair sighed looking around at the wall. She went over to one placing her 'paw' across using her nail to scratch it sighing. "It's possible to do. A marker would be easier, but if we go the wrong way we come back to the marking and go the opposite way. "

"Of course it's possible to do." Roxy commented. She had never done a physical maze and it had been years since she had done the paper ones. She had never been very good at them. Mostly because she hadn't cared enough to try. Unfortunately with this one they wouldn't have the advantage of seeing the whole maze like you did with the paper ones.

"Marking our path would prevent covering the same area more than once." She agreed. Roxy was almost positive that there was more to the maze then just finding their way out. "We can go our own ways but eventually we are all going to end up taking the same path and I doubt that this is just a maze. That wouldn't really challenge any of us." She pointed out. She studied the nearest wall. She didn't see anything that looked unusual but she didn't expect the traps to be easy to spot.

Blake nodded at the dark-haired girl's comment about the challenge not just being a maze. They were the ones being tested for a reason, and he doubted that their newfound abilities would let them do better at solving a regular maze than a group of normal people. Other things were going to happen in here, and he would be wary at all times. Still, it was difficult to determine what exactly would be thrown at them as they would make their way through. He saw her examining their surroundings, and he was sure that she would mention anything unusual that she would spot. They were still together, and it was likely that all three of them would be in danger if any of them were to activate a trap.

"It's time we move forward, but slowly," he commented.

Roxy nodded. She moved down the hallway slowly. It was a straight right now but she knew that wouldn't last. Vlad would test them. He would test them hard. She doubted any of them would make it through this without some damage. But maybe they would be able to evaluate each other. It didn't take long for to the corridor come to a fork. Three paths. They could split but and cover more ground but she had a feeling that Clad wouldn't approve of that idea.

"Well children what do we do now." She asked as she leaned against the wall. She tried to remember what she knew about mazes. She remembered reading once that there was a trick to most mazes. One she was sure that Vlad knew about. If she could remember what it was they could try the opposite. She doubted they would be able to outsmart Vlad but maybe they could at least prove themselves component.

"I mean we could just stay here for a while and do nothing or pick a path and go down it." She shrugged. " Or climb the edges of the maze, bet theres an electric current somewhere up there." She chuckled shrugging eyeing her fingers slightly annoyed. "Also, if you had any common sense splitting up is the dumb idea. He wants us to work together, and I want my food so lets go." She muttered, pushing herself off the wall walking to one of the paths in front of them, stopping and making a mark in the wall, and turning around to see if they were indeed following her.
