Blake had thought that he had lost the dark-haired girl's interest once again when she directed her attention to Blair. The two had another hostile exchange, and he was not expecting the former to address him right after. He wondered what was going on in her mind. He could not determine her feelings and intentions from what she was saying, because she seemed to be everywhere. Was she even aware of how she currently sounded, or was she trying to confuse them? He took a sip from his glass before looking at her with genuine curiosity.
"Where do you stand, exactly? I remember you just implying that you didn't want us in your way."
He then shrugged when he heard Blair comment on what he had to say in response to the other girl. He was unsure if she knew what a fit actually looked like. Sarcasm was not apparent in his demeanor or tone, though, it was in his words when he said what he did next.
"Scared? Maybe it's because I'm the most human out of all of us. Most I've heard while being here is the pair of you trying to be tough with each other, but hey,
I'm the child here, right?"
He hid a smirk of amusement as he watched her put on that whole show of wanting to leave, only to be sent back to her seat by the guard. She was right about one thing though. The other girl did not seem like she was prepared to work together with them. He was sure that she had an answer to that, and he would be content just letting them resume going at each other. That is, if he did not find himself in the line of fire again.
